Context-based Community Configuration for Selective Sharing in Ubiquitous Smart Space (유비쿼터스 스마트 공간에서의 선택적 공유를 위한 맥락 기반 커뮤니티 구성 기법)

  • 본 논문에서는 사용자 중심의 커뮤니티를 정의하고, 사용자의 맥락 정보를 이용한 커뮤니티 구성 방법과 맥락정보 변화에 따른 동적 커뮤니티 재구성 방법을 제안한다. 최근 유비쿼터스 스마트 공간에서 협업 서비스를 제공하기 위한 방법으로 커뮤니티 컴퓨팅에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 하지만 기존 커뮤니티 컴퓨팅 관련 연구에서는 정적인 커뮤니티 구성으로 인해 사용자의 행동 변화에 따른 커뮤니티의 동적 구성이 어렵다. 따라서 커뮤니티를 사용자의 행동에 따라 구성하기 위해서는 사용자 맥락 정보를 이용하는 것이 필요하다. 제안된 방법은 사용자 중심의 정형화된 맥락 모델을 이용하여 사용자의 관심사를 추론하고 커뮤니티의 목적을 설정한다. 그리고 주기적인 사용자의 맥락 정보 감시를 통해 사용자의 행동 변화에 따라 동적으로 커뮤니티 재구성이 가능하게 한다. 커뮤니티 관리 모듈은 사용자의 맥락 정보를 이용하여 구성원들 사이의 관계성을 분석하고, 분석된 관계를 바탕으로 커뮤니티의 특성을 결정한다. 제안된 기법의 유용성을 검증하기 위해서, 맥락인식 기반의 증강현실 경험 공유 시스템을 이용하였고, 사용자의 맥락 정보의 변화에 따른 동적 커뮤니티 구성과 커뮤니티 구성원들간의 콘텐츠에 대한 선택적 공유를 실험하였다. 제안된 방법을 활용하면 선택적 공유를 위한 동적 커뮤니티 구성이 가능하게 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • A number of context information is shared through social network service(SNS). Among them, we focused on the information which is rarely shared for various reasons. The result indicated that users prefer to avoid certain types of context information because of: 1)containing socially unacceptable content, 2)laking of desire for disclosure, and 3)potential risk of privacy. Concerning privacy concern, it was found that users developed their own management strategy to control context information rather than employing existing system features. Drawing on Communication Privacy Management(CPM) theory, we analyzed findings and suggested guidelines for system design.

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 정보 공간에서의 모바일 증강 현실 기반 환경 제어, u-콘텐츠의 개인화, 선택적 공유 및 협업의 개념을 포함하는 맥락 인식 모바일 증강 현실 (Context-aware Mobile AR) 시스템을 제안한다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 인프라의 발전으로 눈에 보이지 않는 컴퓨팅 리소스들로부터 획득되는 환경 및 개인의 맥락정보와 u-콘텐츠 활용의 용이성이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 사용자들이 눈에 보이지 않는 수많은 스마트 오브젝트들을 인지하기가 어려우며, 인터페이스의 복잡성으로 인하여 스마트 오브젝트들을 제어하는 것 역시 쉽지 않다. 또한, 다양한 u-콘텐츠의 획일적인 증강은 사용자에게 혼란만을 가중시키는 문제를 유발한다. 따라서, 제안된 시스템은 맥락 인지 기술과 모바일 증강 현실 기술을 접목하여 개인화된 스마트 오브젝트 컨트롤과 개인화된 u-콘텐츠의 증강 및 선택적인 공유를 가능하게 하고자 한다.

  • Why people share location context information? The purpose of our study is that why users share location context information and which factors is related to co-experiences in LBSNS. Through an exploratory approach, first, we conducted a qualitative study in order to understand experiences among people in LBSNS and analyzed according to Grounded Theory. As a result, we found concepts regarding co-experiences cooperatively and competitively in LBSNS. Second, the theoretical model of co-experience was constructed by mediating perceived empathy based on theoretical foundation. In this study, theoretically, we suggested exploratory research model of co-experiences in LBSNS. Practically, designers could adopt concepts in terms of competition and collaboration among users to build co-experience of LBSNS services as its guidelines.

  • It is essential to describe information on a person, family or corporate body that is responsible for creation of archives in providing archival contextual information. This paper discusses the establishment of contextual information based on the authority control of creators of archives by using international standards such as ISAAR (CPF) : International Standard Archival Authority Record for Corporate Bodies, Persons, and Families, Second edition and EAC(Encoded Archival Context). It introduces the LEAF(Linking and Exploring Authority Files) Project in Europe, which presents the model for exchanging and sharing of authority data between libraries, archives and museums by employing EAC. The concluding remarks stress limitations associated with establishing and exchanging of authority files and requirements for the establishment of archival contextual information nationally.

  • 본고에서는 모바일 증강현실의 새로운 연구 방향으로 맥락인지 모바일 증강현실(CAMAR 2.0)을 제시하고 이를 반영한 응용을 소개한다. CAMAR 2.0은 사용자, 환경, 사회적 관계등을 포함한 통합맥락 정보를 활용하여 다양한 크기의 실내/외 객체에 증강 콘텐츠를 이음매 없이 정합하고, 사용자들의 직관적인 콘텐츠 저작과 선택적 공유를 통해 지속발전 가능한 증강현실 생태계를 구성할 수 있게 한다. CAMAR 2.0 개념의 이해를 돕기 위해 이전 모바일 증강현실 응용과 비교하고, 미술관/박물관 시나리오를 통해 필요 기술을 설명한다.

Variations of Shared Learning in Trading Zone: Focus on the Case of Teachers in the 'Learning Community of Woodworking' (교역지대 내에서 공유된 배움의 다양한 변주: 목공 학습 공동체 교사들의 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study attempts to understand the context of shared learning in the trading zone formed by teachers from different backgrounds and the process in which this shared learning varies in the educational context, focusing on the case of 'Woodwork Science Education Study Group.' To do this, data was collected through in-depth interviews with eight teachers who participated in the 'Woodworking Science Education Research Group' and analyzed their responses based on grounded theory. As a result, the causal conditions of the teachers' research group were 'various contexts of entering the trading zone' and the central phenomenon was 'encounter with learning in the trading zone.' Contextual conditions affecting this phenomenon were 'woodwork as a boundary object and individual transfiguration experience,' and action/interaction strategy was 'various efforts and influences in the field.' The intervention condition was 'practical effort and experience in educational field.' Final result in this model is 'the new practice of learning shared in the trading zone.' In selective coating, it was found that the practice of the teacher's research group appears as four types of' 'Extracurricular creative experience type,' 'career education type,' 'curricula education type,' and 'school management type.' The results of this study suggest that the shared learning and antonymous practice among teachers in the teachers' research group as trading zone do not only meet their learning needs but also lead to various teaching practices in the individual teachers' context of education and improve the diversity and quality of education.

Efficient utilization of resource in Regional Agricultural Cooperatives: determinants and performance implications of resource sharing (지역농협의 성과제고를 위한 효율적 자원활용: 자원공유의 결정요인과 성과함의)

  • As the environment and rivalry of Regional Agricultural Cooperatives(RACs) becomes more unfavorable, the pressures to enhance organizational performance are strenghthened. Existing studies suggest efficiency improvement through resource sharing(RS) to fix the issue. In this context, I intend to find if RS still increases organizational performance in another form of organization on the basis of 132 business units(BUs) of 45 RACS. According to empirical results, resource similarity between BUs and resource level of BU increases RS respectively, and RS increases BU's performance. The RS also has mediating effects on similarity and resource level into performance. But the overall resource level of RAC has no influence on RS and there is no mediating effect. My contribution is to confirm the efficacy of RS in half-profit organization and to verify determinants and performance implications of RS.

  • In this paper, we propose CAMAR Core Platform as a framework for context-aware mobile augmented reality system development after brief introduction of limitations in the previous mobile augmented reality (AR). There have been many research activities on mobile AR due to recent enhancement of functionalities of mobile devices and development of relevant technologies to mobile augmented reality. In order to be used in ubiquitous computing environment, however, mobile AR systems should be able to utilize available contextual information, augment personalized contents, and share the augmented contents with other users. Thus, the proposed CAMAR Core Platform can provide such functionalities to those who want to develop CAMAR systems. To show the feasibility of the proposed framework, we show several applications based on the framework.

Emotional Experience of Korean Urban Elderly in Everyday Lives using Experience Sampling Method: A focus on gender differences (경험표집법을 통해 살펴본 도시노인의 일상생활 경험: 공간/대인맥락과 정서경험에서의 젠더차이를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine everyday emotional experience of urban elderly in Korea. Specifically, this study explores gender differences in the effect of place/location of activity and companionship on the daily emotional experience. Data were collected from 148 urban elderly (men=76, women=72) in Seoul, using Experience Sampling Method(ESM). The unit of analysis was the self-report and in total 5,530 self-reports were provided. The statistical methods used for the data analyses were descriptive statistics, t-test, χ2 verification, and ANOVA. The major findings are as follows. First, the elderly in Korea spend a quite substantial portion of their time at home, and they spend the largest share of their time in company with their spouse. Second, women report higher intensity of stress and irritation than men in terms of overall emotional experience. Third, the effect of activity location and companionship on emotional experience turned out to be different depending on gender. Emotional experience of daily lives and overall quality of life are shown to be inter-related. Based on these findings, this study provides a significant implication that situational contexts of experience should be considered in order to understand the daily emotional experience of the contemporary Korean elderly.
