  • This study has proposed a methodology to detect suspicious facilities that occupy national and public land by using the cadastral and digital maps. First, we constructed a spatial database of national & public land based on the cadastral maps by linking its management ledger. Using the PNU (Parcel Number) code as a key field, the data managed by different institutions are integrated into a single spatial information DB (database) and then, the use or nonuse state of each parcel is confirmed on the cadastral map. Next, we explored the suspicious facilities that existed in the unused parcel by utilizing the digital topographical map. Then, the proposed methodology was applied for various regions and tested its feasibility. Through this study, it will be possible to improve the utilization of digital maps and to manage the national and public land efficiently and economically.

  • False sharing is a result of co-location of unrelated data in the same unit of memory coherency, and is one source of unnecessary overhead being of no help to keep the memory coherency in multiprocessor systems. Moreover. the damage caused by false sharing becomes large in proportion to the granularity of memory coherency. To reduce false sharing in a page-based DSM system, it is necessary to allocate unrelated data objects that have different access patterns into the separate shared pages. In this paper we propose call-site tracing-based shared memory allocator. shortly CSTallocator. CSTallocator expects that the data objects requested from the different call-sites may have different access patterns in the future. So CSTailocator places each data object requested from the different call-sites into the separate shared pages, and consequently data objects that have the same call-site are likely to get together into the same shared pages. We use execution-driven simulation of real parallel applications to evaluate the effectiveness of our CSTallocator. Our observations show that by using CSTallocator a considerable amount of false sharing misses can be additionally reduced in comparison with the existing techniques.

In this paper we propose sized and call-site tracing-based shared memory allocator, shortly SCSTallocator. SCSTallocator places each data object requested from the different call-sites into the separate shared pages, and at the same time places each data object that has different size into different shared pages. Consequently data objects that have the different call-site and different object size prohibited from being allocated to the same shared page. Our observations show that our SCSTallocator outperforms the existing dynamic shared memory allocators. By combining the two existing allocation technique, we can reduce a considerable amount of false sharing misses.

  • The methodology on digital cadastre(World Geodetic System Conversion) needs to be specified because the primary target site is discussed for large national estate such as road, river etc. on nationwide. Comprehensively reviews on similar cases and literature reviews to make a methodology for digital cadastre on large national estate, cadastral map revision is required before converting to World Geodetic System. The revisions are on subdivision survey or the other surveys to the necessary area through inspection of geometry and attributes. And the researcher pointed out the need of registration conversion and union of parcel to remove small parcel or to remove the inconsistency of land use type. Basically a systematic maintenance of cadastral map is necessary because the World Geodetic System Conversion unresolved the poor cadastral map quality to digital cadastre on large national estate.

  • At a time when open data receives attention as an international trend, there is a need to discuss the role of international journals in Korea to support data sharing. Based on surveys and interviews of editors from the international journals, we identified factors affecting the policy adoption and examined the journal editors' perception on the adoption and components of the data sharing policy. As a result, scholarly journals that have adopted or are planning to adopt policies have recognized that data sharing is an international trend and can contribute to research development, but they stressed that efforts to improve the perception of data sharing were still necessary. Educational activities and compensation for sharing data were needed at scholarly journals' and communities' level. Also, components perceived important and selected by more than half of the editors as mandatory were 'data availability statement', 'data sharing level', 'data sharing method', and 'data citation'. While scholarly journals do not always need to mandate data sharing, it was necessary to mention conditions where data cannot be shared through data availability statements. The role of the organization developing and operating a repository appropriate for situations in Korea was also emphasized. In addition, by identifying factors affecting the policy adoption, significant differences were found in Journal Impact Factor quartiles, publication type, and subject area. This finding indicated that journals with a high impact factor are likely to have resources to support data sharing, and open access or hybrid journals are likely to have interest in open data as a part of open science. In the medical research area, active movements for data sharing in academic communities have promoted the adoption of data sharing policies. This study would be used as basic data to facilitate the adopton and operation of scholarly journals' data sharing policies in Korea.

  • ACE (Advanced Collaboration Environment) [1] aims to provide people to have remote collaboration as they are in the same Space. To provide tele-presence in remote collaboration, quality of audio and sharing of view which can show overall environment. Visual Sharing focuses on providing interactive view sharing among remote participants. A user can see remote collaboration space from any direction and can share his working screen view with others. In this paper, we summarize the development plan of Visual Sharing and relevant elementary techniques for developing Visual Sharing.

  • Wright wants to create a democratic egalitarian society through his real utopias project where everyone is guaranteed the access to material and social means or opportunities for human flourishing and where democracy is maximized. However, he does not provide a convincing rationale for his democratic egalitarianism. This paper shows that the basic income derived from the equal rights to commons can be a convincing basis for his democratic egalitarianism. This paper then restructures his real utopias project into a more consistent system based on the basic income derived from commons. It also argues that Wright's vision of Real Utopias overlaps with the vision of a 'sharing society', a 'society based on democratically managed and controlled commons and basic income'. This article therefore argues that the Real Utopias Project and the basic income project can on the one hand develop based on these overlaps and correlations and on the other, based on each other's results.

  • With the increase in I/O performance and capacity, it becomes commonplace that storage systems are shared by multiple storage users. This paper proposes an efficient token-bucket-based performance control technique for the shared storage that can statistically guarantee demanded storage performance from different users. It also verifies the operational characteristics and performance of the proposed scheme under various types of I/O workloads.

  • Sharing economy which is sharing and borrowing goods, space, and services as a social and economic activity based on the Internet and smart phones is a new research topic in convergence area. The most representative areas of shared economy are space sharing and vehicle sharing. This paper aims to explore the factors affecting sharing intention of vehicle. We have identified the independent variables which include economic benefit, social benefit, social influence, psychological benefit and perceived risk. We also have done how these variables affect on sharing intention. Unlike Korea, in China vehicle sharing is legally allowed and has a large scale economy. To prove the hypothesis, we performed questionnaire investigation in China and analyzed with SPSS program. The result of hypothesis is the followings: The economic benefit, psychological benefit, social influence and perceived risk are affects sharing intention, and social benefit is not affect sharing intention and sharing intention is affect sharing behavior.
