A Study on the Accuracy of BIM-based Quantity Take-Off of Apartment Interior (BIM기반 공동주택 마감 물량 산출 정확도 연구)

  • Construction industry throughout the construction projects life cycle using BIM is able to manage information. Among them, BIM-based quantity take-off is directly connected to the data of the construction business as an important management element that is essential for one of the management factors of feasibility study and economic analysis. In addition, the result of BIM-based quantity take-off can be varied depending on modeler, so the exact guideline for BIM modeling is necessary. The BIM-based quantity take-off in terms of reliability and accuracy of the information is very important. Therefore, this study verified the BIM modeling of the apartment interior materials using both separate object and composite object was validated the quantitative comparison of the difference in BIM-based quantity take-off for accuracy & reliability judgment of BIM-based quantity take-off and realistic & desirable suggestion of BIM modeling way. As the result of this study, it is preferable to model various interior materials to use separate object for the purpose of correct BIM-based quantity take-off, but the realistic way of the BIM modeling using both separate object and composite object jointly was verified in order to judge BIM-based quantity take-off in terms of work productivity.

  • Earthworks are the fundamental steps in a construction job, and are mainly comprised of smaller tasks performed by construction machinery. The productivity of the construction job can be improved by optimizing excavation, filling, and other such operations. Earthworks involve a lot of mechanical work performed by the collaboration between various kinds of construction equipment, which in turn leads to higher fuel consumption. Actual earthworks depend mostly on the intuition and experience of the driver of the machines, thus leading to inefficiency and environmental problems caused by unnecessary emission of carbon, Recently automated and information-oriented technologies are consistently being researched towards the improvement of efficiency of earthworks in the construction industry. The present research involves the introduction and understanding of the decision-making elements of heuristics which can be applied to the earthwork planning. A method is also suggested for creating an effective work path for construction machine to perform task packages (TP) for cutting and filling processes. A simulation test is performed to verify the effectiveness of suggested methods in terms of space interference and total moving distance of construction equipment.

  • The needs for Light Railroad Transit(LRT) have been increased due to the heavy traffic congestions in large cities like Seoul, Korea. Korean government is seeking the LRT system development (including planning, designing, construction, and maintenance and operations) in terms of public-private-partnership (PPP). At the private sector side, it is crucial to estimate the life cycle cost (LCC) to project the cash flow during the O&M period. Since the most construction and O&M cost of LRT project is at the bridge construction, a cost analysis model and a cost breakdown structures (CBS) on LRT bridges are discussed through in depth literature reviews. Construction and maintenance cost of bridges are collected and analyzed. LCC is analyzed by types of bridge superstructures and historical data of repair and rehabilitation (R&R) is investigated. There have been scarce number of LCC analysis on railway bridges. This research delivers a well-defined CBS and maintenance cost data, which will be a great benefit to the systematic maintenance strategy development for railroad bridges.

  • Recently, along with the development of IT, the non-linearity and enlargement in the response to the combination of the building industry and IT have made a wide variety in outer shapes of the buildings. So buildings need a more accurate representation using visually superior three-dimensional space information. Therefore, the study models the shapes of the other buildings in accordance with the heights. Frist of all, we measured the buildings using a Terrestrial LiDAR. Second, we obtained a high-density point cloud date of the buildings. Through this data, we made the BIM model and compared the heights of each floor's outer information layers. And then identified the BIM data status using IFC standards formats. From this data, it proposes a new 3D cadastre and the alternative for the establishment of spatial information.

  • In construction industry, the cost related to material is different from each other under the characteristic of projects. However, it has 40% of the whole cost in the composition of prime cost. Recently, While the construction work become bigger, specialized and complex, it is complex to carry in materials because of shortage of space. However, in many cases, material management has been underestimated as well as the material management is depending on experience of site managers so it has been studied about frequently. In this study, I suggest four classification methods of material characteristic ETO, ATO, MTO, MTS. I also analyze what the most efficient supply management of the site materials is through researching the characteristics of the material distribution. In conclusion, I would like to build the material management classification for the characteristics of materials.

  • 인공함양 시설을 설계 및 운영하는 단계에서 설치 예정부지의 자연적 특성(지형, 지질, 기후 등)과 인공적 특성(주입정과 양수정의 거리, 주입량, 양수량 등)은 중요한 인자라고 볼 수 있다. 인공함양 예정 부지의 개념모델을 설정하고 수리전도도와 이격거리(주입정과 양수정의 직선거리)에 대한 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 인공함양 예정 부지는 충적대수층이며, 인공함양 주입량과 양수량은 150m3/day로 동일하게 설정하였다. HydroGeoSphere 모델링을 통한 민감도 분석은 수리전도도(101cm/sec, 102cm/sec, 103cm/sec, 104cm/sec)와 이격거리(10 m, 50 m, 100 m) 조건에 대해 총 12회 수행하였다. 수리전도도가 101cm/sec102cm/sec인 경우의 모델링 결과, 이격거리가 100 m 범위 이내에서는 지하수위 변동이 발생하지 않았다. 수리전도도가 103cm/sec인 경우의 모델링 결과, 이격거리가 10 m일 때 5 m 이내의 수위하강이 발생하고 영향반경은 약 14 m 정도로 나타났고, 이격거리가 50 m일 때 5 m 이내의 수위하강이 발생하고 영향반경은 약 31 m 정도로 나타났고, 이격거리가 100 m일 때 5 m 이내의 수위하강이 발생하고 영향반경은 약 34 m 정도로 나타났다. 수리전도도가 104cm/sec인 경우의 모델링 결과, 이격거리가 증가할수록 양수에 의한 수위하강과 영향반경이 증가하였으며, 낮은 수리전도도로 인해 양수로 인한 수두손실을 회복할 수 없었기에 양수정 주변에서 반경 수십 m 이상의 수두하강 영역을 형성하고 주입정 근처에서는 주입속도가 대수층의 투수능력에 비해 상당히 높기 때문에 5 m 정도의 수위상승이 나타났다. 모델링 결과를 분석하여, 수리전도도가 103cm/sec 이하이고 이격거리가 10 m 범위 이상인 충적대수층에 150m3/day를 주입하면서 동시에 150m3/day를 양수하는 시스템에서는 지하수위변동이 발생하므로 주입량과 양수량의 조절이 필요하다는 것을 확인하였다.

Blast Analysis and Damage Evaluation for Reinforced Concrete Building Structures (RC Building 구조물의 폭발해석 및 손상평가)

  • The blast damage behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) structures exposed to unexpected extreme loading was investigated. To enhance the accuracy of numerical simulation for blast loading on RC structures with seven blast points, the calculation of blast loads using the Euler-flux-corrected-transport method, the proposed Euler-Lagrange coupling method for fluid-structure interaction, and the concrete dynamic damage constitutive model including the strain rate-dependent strength and failure models was implemented in the ANSYS-AUTODYN solver. In the analysis results, in the case of 20 kg TNT, only the slab member at three blast points showed moderate and light damage. In the case of 100 kg TNT, the slab and girder members at three blast points showed moderate damage, while the slab member at two blast points showed severe damage.

  • Driving tests using model plastic piles with different hammer cushion materials were performed in order to evaluate the efficiency of energy transfer ratio from the hammer, degree of vibration of the surrounding ground and noise due to impacting. A small pile driving analyzer (PDA) was composed using straingages and Hopkinson bar which is measuring force signal and pile-head velocity. The hammer cushion (cap block) materials used for the model driving tests were commercial Micarta, plywood, polyurethane, rubber (SBR) and silicone rubber. The highest energy transfer ratio was obtained from Micarta in the same soil and driving conditions. Micarta was followed by polyurethane, plywood, rubber and silicone in descending order. The more efficient energy transfdr ratio of the hammer cushion materials became, the bigger average noisy (sound) level was found. In addition, Micarta and polyurethane provided bigger bearing capacities than other materials compared in the same soil and driving conditions in which the static loading tests were performed at the end of driving.

A study on the simulation of flooding in Top-down construction site considering extreme rainfall (극한강우를 고려한 Top-down 현장 침수모의에 관한 연구)

  • 최근 기후변화로 인한 국지성 호우 빈도 및 강수량이 급증하는 등 극한강우 발생 가능성이 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 공공 기반의 유역 및 지자체별 침수 대응은 지속적으로 이루어지고 있으나, 건설 현장 대응은 이에 비해 미흡한 실정이다. 특히, 건설 현장의 경우, 예측할 수 없는 홍수 유출에 대해서도 기존 설계시 반영된 홍수 유출량과 기상청 정보에만 의존하고 있어 극한강우 발생시 취약성을 나타낼 수 있다. 특히, Top-down 현장은 개구부, 표면 작업을 위한 포장 등에 의해 지하부로 유입되는 강우량이 많고, 지하 굴착공사시 단차 및 지하수 발생으로 극한강우시 침수에 의한 수재해 발생 확률이 높다. 이를 대비하기 위해 XP-SWMM 모형을 이용하여 지상부와 지하부의 강우-유출량을 산정하고 지하부 침수를 모의하였다. 실제 Top-down 현장조사를 통해 침수 관련 인자와 XP-SWMM을 연계하여 침수모의 기법에 적용하였다. 관련 주요인자는 강우량, 현장 지상부 면적, 지상부 배수로, 지하 유입부, 지하 배수펌프 등으로 현장 조사결과 나타났다. 강우자료의 경우, 극한강우를 고려하기 위해 현장 지역의 최대 강우량, 태풍 루사와 기상청 강우의 증가 시나리오를 고려하여 모의에 적용하였다. 본 연구에서는 극한강우에 대한 Top-down 침수 모의를 수행할 수 있는 상용 모델링과 이와연관된 인자를 도출하여 침수 모의 기법을 최적화 하였다. 이러한 침수 모의를 통해 Top-Down 현장 침수심 등을 예측할 수 있다. 향후 이를 통해 지하공간이 있는 건설현장의 강우-유출 현상및 침수 모의가 가능하고, 실시간 현장별 침수 예측 모델 개발로 현장별 대피경로 및 대응방안을 제시하여 인적 피해를 최소화할 수 있을 것으로 기대할 수 있다.

Estimation of Setting Time of Super Retarding Mortar Using Settimeter (세티메타를 이용한 초지연 모르타르의 응결시간 추정)

  • This study investigates the delay in setting characteristics of mortar influenced by variations in super retarding agent(SRA) content, curing temperature, and strength levels. Utilizing a settimeter, the research introduces an objective approach to accurately determine the setting time of concrete with SRA under diverse environmental and material mixing conditions at construction sites. The findings indicate that the settimeter, in conjunction with a nonlinear regression model, can effectively estimate the setting time of super retarding mortar. Optimal management of the initial setting is recommended at approximately 45ST and the final setting around 80ST. This methodology enables more effective quality control in the setting times of super retarding concrete.
