유류 오염 토양 복원을 위한 Biopile 적용성 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 유류 오염 토양의 복원에 효율적인 것으로 나타난 Biopile 공법을 오염 토양에 적용하였을 경우, 토양의 생물학적 복원이 가능한지 여부를 평가하고자 하였다. 45일간 의 Biopile 실험 결과, 공기 주입 및 영양분 주입 후 TPH의 감소율이 최대 64.75 %까지 나타났다. 또한 공기만을 주입하였을 경우에도 제거율이 약 33 %를 나타내었다. TPH가 6,000 mg/kg인 인공 오염 토양을 사용하여 Biopile 공법을 적용하였을 경우에는 30일 반웅 후 43.46 %의 높은 제거율을 나타내었다. 오염 토양의 균주를 순화/분리 하였을 때 오염 토양 내에 고 활성의 유류 분해 미생물이 확인되었으며, 이들의 유전자 역시 확인되어 자체적으로 생물학적 분해능을 가지고 있는 토양으로 나타났다.

A Feasibility Study on the Abdomen Immobilization with Air Injected Balloon Blanket (공기 주입형 풍선 담요를 이용한 복부 고정 가능성 연구)

  • The demand for a better immobilization device has been increased in the radiation oncology field. Especially, it is essential to have a reliable and practical immobilization tool for the whole body radio-surgery and the IMRT(intensity modulated radiation therapy). A new method to immobilize the abdomen for the external beam radiation treatment was developed. The air-injected balloon blanket (AIBB) was designed as an immobilization device. As the air was injected into the AIBB, it pressed down the patient's abdomen and fixed the patient. The AIBB played a useful role to grab the patients' motion. Displacement of the abdomen in the anterior-posterior direction, which showed moving most during the respiration, reduced by more than 5 mm. Patients' movements from the breathing were reduced. The experimental results revealed that the AIBB could be used for the clinic.

  • 폐기물 매립지의 조기 안전화를 위해 여러 가지 Chemical Oxidation법이 개발되어 왔지만, 이 방법을 폐기물 매립지에 적용하고 난 후에 생성될 수 있는 부산물들이 주변 환경에 영향을 줄 가능성이 있다. 그래서, 이 방법을 실제 매립지에 적용하기 전에, 일본 키타큐슈에 있는 소각재가 묻혀 있는 모형 매립지에 다섯 가지 조건 -A, 콤포스트 추가; B, 과산화수소수 살수; 과산화수소수+공기주입; D, 공기주입; E, control- 을 적용하여 그 효능을 테스트하였고, 이 매립지에서 이 방법들의 적용 후에 생성되는 침출수의 급성 독성을 세 가지 microbiotests를 이용하여 monitoring하였다. 테스트 기간 중, 침출수의 수질은 개선되었고, 그 급성 독성은 점차적으로 감소하였다. 과산화수소수와 공기의 조합을 적용한 후 생성된 침출수의 급성 독성이 가장 빨리 감소하여 폐기물 매립지의 조기 안정화에 도움을 주었다. 이러한 독성 시험 결과는 몇 가지 화학적 parameters와 상관성이 있었고 여기에 사용된 급성 독성 테스트법은, 매립지 안정화를 위한 Chemical Oxidation법의 적용 후, 침출수 수질을 monitoring하는데 적절하였다. 그러므로 폐기물 매립지의 조기 폐지 기준에 독성 시험의 포함을 고려해 볼 필요가 있다고 생각한다.

A Study on the Ignition Behaviors of Textiles according to Permeation Amount of Oils and Aeration (유지류의 침윤량과 공기주입에 따른 면화류의 발화거동에 관한 연구)

  • We had investigated thermal and ignition behaviors of textiles. Decomposition of textiles with temperature was investigated using a DSC and the weight loss according to temperature using a TGA in order to find the thermal hazard of textiles, and the ignition behaviors of textiles according to species and permeation amount of oil. In addition, ignition behaviors of those permeated into oils indicating different iodine value and of those with arid without air in reaction vessel of measuring equipment were studied with constant temperature method among ignition temperature measuring methods. As results, the range of decomposition temperature of synthetic fiber was slightly broad compared with that of natural fiber, pure cotton. Besides, the initiation temperature of heat generation of both samples riced in the case of no air injection in the reaction vessel. On the other hand, in the case of air injection that was lowered according to the increase in permeative amount of oils and fats and decreased quickly as sample was permeated into drying oil.

  • This study was performed to determine optimum conditions of batch type cultivation of Isochrysis galbana cultivated under various wavelengths of light emitting dioes (LEDs). Among LEDs used in the cultivation, white LED was found to be the most effective light source, and light intensity of 3,000Lux resulted in the most effective for the cultivation of Isochyrysis galbana. Comparison with common light source, fluorescent light, showed less effective than that with white LED. Four different air flow rates were tested to overcome shading effects due to denser cell concentration in the solution. In results, cell growth rates and maximum cell concentrations were similar regardless of air flow rates. Three times greater cell concentrations, however, were observed when air was applied.

TPH, $CO_2$ and VOCs Variation Characteristics of Diesel Contaminated Aquifer by In-situ Air Sparging (공기분사공정에 의한 유류오염대수층의 TPH, $CO_2$, VOCs 변화 특성)

  • Air Sparging (IAS, AS) is a ground-water remediation technique, in which organic contaminants are volatilized into air as they rise from saturated to vadose soil zone. This study was conducted to investigate the variation characteristics of TPH, VOCs and $CO_2$ for air sparging of diesel contaminated saturated soil. Initial TPH concentration was 10,000 mg/kg for saturated soil phase and 1,001 mg/L for soil aquifer phase. After 36 days of air sparging, the equilibrium temperature of 2-Dimension experiment system was $24.9{\pm}1.5^{\circ}C$. The saturated soil TPH concentration (in the C10 port close to air diffuser) was reduced to 66.0% of the initial value. The mass amount of $CO_2$ was 3,800 mg and 3,200 mg in air space (C70 port) and in unsaturated soil zone (C50 port), respectively. The VOCs production kinetic parameter was 0.164/day in the air space (C70 port) and 0.182/day in the unsaturated soils (C50 port).

  • The removal mechanism of air borne methyl iodide by triethylenediamine (TEDA) impregnated charcoal bed was investigated. The analysis of experimental data indicates that pore diffusion is the rate controlling step when the air velocity is over 20cm/sec, and both fore diffusion resistance and external mass transfer resistance are contributed to the overall resistance when the air velocity is 10cm/sec. The adsorption model to describe the performance of impregnated charcoal bed under dry condition where water vapors do not exist in air, is proposed. The calculated values and experimental results are well matched.

  • 심장박동하 관상동맥우회로이식술은 이미 보편화되어 널리 시행되고 있는 술식이다, 현재 관심사는 최소한의 혈액역학적 장애를 주며 심장을 최대한 고정시키는 것이다. 이에 저자들은 좌전하행지를 시야의 정중선으로 옮기는 간단하고 안전한 방법을 소개하고자 한다. 50 cc 주사기에 연결된 채혈주머니를 좌심실밑에 넣은후 공기를 주입하면 심장이 우측으로 돌면서 심장의 측면이 시야의 중앙에 위치하게 된다. 공기를 주입하는 양에 따라 수술부위를 원하는 곳에 위치하게 쉽게 조절할 수 있고, 문합이 끝나면 단순히 공기를 빼어 허탈시킨후 꺼내면 된다.

UV/$TiO_2$공정을 이용한 수중 MTBE의 광촉매 분해

  • UV/$TiO_2$ 공정을 이용한 수중 MTBE의 광분해에 관한 연구 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. MTBE는 초기농도가 낮을수록 제거효율이 증가하는 것을 볼 수 있었으며, 공기주입량이 4L/min인 경우 반응시간 160분 후 완전히 제거되었으며, 공기주입이 없는 경우에 비해 제거효율이 40%정도 높게 나타났다. 과산화수소 농도와 반응시간에 따른 MTBE 제거효율은 1M-$H_2O_2$ 300mL를 첨가한 경우 반응시간 160분 후에 완전히 제거되었으며, 1M-$H_2O_2$ 200m1는 반응시간 180분 후 거의 제거되었으며 $H_2O_2$를 첨가하지 않은 경우 반응시간 180분 후 68%의 제거효율을 보여 과산화수소 첨가시 제거효율이 증가하는 경향을 보였다.

Experimental Study on Thermal NOx and CO Emission in a Laboratory-Scale Incinerator with Reversed Secondary Air Jet Injection (역방향 2차 공기 주입 방식을 적용한 소각 연소로의 Thermal NOx 및 CO 배출특성에 대한 축소모형실험 연구)

  • Incinerators generally emit pollutants such as NOx and CO during the combustion process. In this paper, pollutant emissions and temperature distributions were studied in a simulated incinerator with a reversed (relative to the flue gas flow) secondary air injection system. The experiments were performed by using a lab-scale furnace in order to evaluate the effects of the injection location, direction and flow rate of secondary air jets. The emission of NOx was lower in the case of reversed secondary air injection than in the case of cross injection, due to the recirculation and mixing of the exhaust gas. In the reversed air injection cases, thermal NOx emissions decreased as secondary air ratio increased from 30 to 60 and slightly increased at secondary air ratios higher than 60. In most cases, CO emissions were not detected except for a few reversed secondary air injection cases, in which cases CO concentrations below 2ppm were observed.
