BEMS 데이터의 통계적 분석에 기반한 공조기 최적 예냉운전 모델 개발 (Developing Optimal Pre-Cooling Model Based on Statistical Analysis of BEMS Data in Air Handling Unit)

  • Since the operating conditions of HVAC systems are different from those for which they are designed, on-going commissioning is required to optimize the energy consumed and the environment in the building. This study presents a methodology to analyze operational data and its applications. A predicted operation model is to be produced through a statistical data analysis using multiple regressions in SPSS. In this model, the dependent variable is the pre-cooling time, and the independent variables include the power output of the supply air inverter during pre-cooling, the supply air set temperature during pre-cooling, the indoor temperature-indoor set temperature just before pre-cooling, supply heat capacity, and the lowest outdoor air temperature during non-cooling/non-heating hours. The correlation coefficient R2 of the multiple regression model between the pre-cooling hour and the internal/external factors is of 0.612, and this could be used to provide information related to energy conservation and operating guidance.

  • Management of indoor air quality of underground subway station is an important issue. The air handling unit (AHU) installed in the underground subway station is the main facility determining the air quality of station. Especially for removing particulate matters, it is important to operate the appropriate air filter. However, there is no quantitative test method for existing air filter in site. It is rarely known that the collection efficiency of air filter can satisfy the designed criteria or not. In this study, we set the reference method using the mini-volume air sampler inside the AHU to evaluate the collection efficiency of different types of air filters. In addition, we applied the portable instrument based on the light-scattering method to the efficiency test. The method we applied in this study can be used in the evaluation of air filter in site.

  • Since data-driven building technologies have been widely applied to building energy systems, the accuracy of building sensors has more impacts on the building performance and system performance analysis. Various building sensors, however, can have typical errors including a random error (noise) and a systematic error (bias). The systematic error is indicated by the difference between the mean of measurements and their true value. It may occur due to the sensor's physical condition, measured phenomena, working environments inside the systems. Unfortunately, a conventional calibration method has limitations in calibrating the systematic errors because of the difference between working environments and calibration conditions. In such situations, a novel sensor calibration method is needed to handle various sensor errors, especially for systematic errors, in building energy systems having various thermodynamic environments. This study proposes a building sensor calibration method named Virtual In-situ Calibration (VIC) and shows how it is applied into a real building system and how it solves the sensor errors.

터보냉동기의 HCFC-123 누출에 대한 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Study on the HCFC-123 Leak in Turbo Chiller by using CFD)

  • 대용량의 공기조화용으로 널리 사용되는 터보냉동기는 냉매로 HCFC-123 가스를 주로 사용하며, HCFC-123은 CFC계 프레온의 대체 냉매제로 독성은 낮으나 환기가 원활하지 않는 밀폐공간이나 작업공간에서 산소결핍으로 인한 질식재해를 유발할 수 있는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 2011년 대형할인마트 기계실 내부 터보냉동기 냉매 누출로 인해 작업자 4명이 질식 등의 사유로 사망한 재해 사례를 대상으로 전산유체역학을 이용하여 HCFC-123 누출에 따른 산소농도를 예측함으로써 프레온 가스 누출사고에 대한 원인을 조사하고 대응책을 제시하여 동종 재해의 재발 방지에 도움이 되고자 한다.

실외온도 변화에 따른 R410A 적용 에어콘 시스템의 성능 (Performance of a room air conditioner using R410A according to the variation of outdoor temperature)

  • The system performance of a room air conditioner using R410A was experimentally evaluated and compared with that of R22 system. The results indicated that the cooling EER(energy efficiency ratio) of R410A was 1% higher than that of R22 at the outdoor temperature of $35^{\circ}C$. As outdoor temperature increases above $35^{\circ}C$ ambient, EER of the R410A system decreased more substantially compared with R22 system. R410A showed higher compressor discharge temperature than that of R22 system at the outdoor temperature of higher than $50^{\circ}C$.

선박의 기관실 통풍 해석 (Ventilation Analysis for an Engine Room of a Ship)

  • This study contains the CFD analysis to predict the flow in engine room and utilize the results as a reference for arranging smoke detectors. FLUENT, a commercial CFD code is adopted because of its good application experience in DSME(Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co.. Ltd.). The target is the engine room of VLCC. which was delivered in 2002. The model for analysis includes main structure elements, ventilation ducts, main engine and other big size equipment. From the analysis results, the internal flow pattern can be observed and some guidelines for the position of smoke detectors cane be presented.

퍼지 논리를 이용한 자동차 기후제어기 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Automotive Climate Controller Using Fuzzy Logic)

  • These days, the fuzzy logic or the fuzzy set theory has received attention from a number of researchers in the area of industrial application. Moreover, the fuzzy logic control has been successfully applied to a large numbers of control problems where the conventional control methods had failed. Using this control theory we designed a climate controller for an automotive climate control system whose mathematical model is difficult. This paper describes an automotive climate control where the fuzzy control has been used to stabilize parameter uncertainties and disturbance effects. To show the validity and effectiveness of the proposed control method, the fuzzy logic controller was implemented with a philips 80C552 microcomputer chip and tested in an actual vehicle. From the experimental results, it could be conduced that the proposed controller is superior to conventional controllers in both control performance and thermal comfort. The climate control system in cars is difficult to model mathematically so we tested a fuzzy logic control system which promised better results.

곡물빈용 공기조화장치의 퍼지제어기 개발 (Development of Fuzzy Controller for Air Conditioning of Grain Bin)

  • Temperature and humidity are the most important factors and should be effectively controlled for the cold storage of graius. Fuzzy logic can be easily implemented to the MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) control systems. For the cold storage in grain bin, fuzzy logic was applied to an air conditioning system. The capacities of the grain bin and the air conditioner are 80 tons and 30㎾, respectively. Also, the target values of temperature and relative humidity in outlet duct of the air conditioner were 8$\^{C}$ and 75%, respectively. In order to control temperature and relative humidity of air, a damper in inlet duct was manipulated for temperature control and a heater was used for humidity control. Temperature deviation and change of temperature deviation were used as input parameters for the fuzzy system. Humidity was only considered as a load. The experimental results showed that the controlled temperature of exhausted air was maintained at 8$\pm$2$\^{C}$. Relative humidity of the air was also controlled at the target relative humidity of 50∼80%.

검은콩의 박층건조모델 (Thin Layer Drying Model of Black Soybean)

  • 국내 콩의 소비량은 계속적으로 증가하고 있다. 재배 면적은 1995년 10,000ha에서 2013년 8,000ha까지 계속적으로 감소하였으며, 수입은 2009년 644.9백만 달러에서 2013년 883.3백만 달러까지 계속적인 증가 추세에 있다. 건조는 품질 손상을 최소화 및 수분을 제거하는 공정이다. 모든 곡물에는 건조 조건에 따라서 품질이 크게 변화하며, 건조 과정을 해석하여 해당 곡물의 적정 건조 조건을 구명하여 품질을 유지하는 위해서는 중요하다(Keum, 등 1977). 얇은 두께의 곡물층을 단층으로 하여 건조속도 및 건조공기의 조건을 나타내는 것을 박층(Thin layer)건조모델이라 한다. 박층건조모델을 계속적으로 쌓은 모델을 후층(Deep layer)모델이라 하며, 건조기 개발 및 건조조건 구명에 가장 기본이 된다(Basunia and Abe, 1998). 그러나 해외에서 만들어진 콩 박층건조 모델은 국내의 검은콩과 물성이 상이하여 건조조건이 다르게 설정 되어야 한다. 따라서, 본 연구목적은 건조온도 2수준, 상대습도 3수준에 대하여 검은 콩의 건조속도 측정하고, 곡물건조방정식으로 많이 이용되고 있는 4개의 건조방정식에 대하여 모델 적합성을 검정하여 검은콩 건조에 적합한 박층건조모델 결정하는데 있다. 공시재료는 2015년 강원도지역에서 생산된 검은콩을 실험에 사용하였으며, 초기 함수율은 14.7%,w.b.였다. 박층 건조공기 조성은 공기조화장치(MTH4100, SANYO, UK)를 사용하여 조성하였으며, 송풍기에 의해 공기충만실을 통과하여 건조 층을 통과하도록 구성하였다. 목표 평형함수율에 도달하면 실험을 종료하였다. 건조 층의 초기중량 및 경시적 변화는 전자저울(GF-4000, AND, Japan)을 이용하여 10분 간격 측정하여 저장하였다. 적정 박층건조모델을 결정하기 위하여 기존의 곡물건조방정식 중 널리 사용되고 있는 4개(Lewis, 1921; Page, 1949; Thompson, 1967; Moisture diffusion, 1975)의 건조모델을 이용하여 비교 검증하였다. 건조 초기 2시간 까지는 급격히 감소하다가 건조속도에 영향을 미치는 반건조시간(MR=0.5) 이후에는 완만하게 건조되는 것으로 나타났고 건조조건으로 건조온도 및 상대습도 모두의 영향이 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 4가지 건조 모델과 비교한 결과 Thompson 모델이 전체 건조 영역에서 비교적 잘 일치하였다.

대체냉매 공기조화기용 로터리 압축기의 성능향상을 위한 최적 토출계에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the High Performance Optimal Discharge System of a Rotary Compressor for an Air Conditioner using alternative Refrigerant R410a)

  • R410a which is one of HFC refrigerants is being considered to be a promising replacement for R22 widely used in domestic air conditioners. The rolling piston type rotary compressors for R410a have lower energy efficiency than those for R22 because of the high pressure difference between a suction chamber and a discharge chamber in the compression mechanism. in addition, the re-expansion gas loss of the rotary compressor for R410a which occurs a ta clearance volume in a discharge port becomes larger than that for R22 due to high density of R410a refrigerant. Therefore, Pressure-Volume analyses for various design parameters of a discharge system were carried out to improve efficiency of a R410a rotary compressor. The results such as performance dta, over-compression loss, and re-expansion loss were acquired by P-V analyses and analyzed quantitatively. As a conclusion, the optimal specifications of several design parameters of a discharge system were obtained by analyzing P-V diagrams.
