Recently, multiple metropolitan counties and local authorities have been actively working on improving their local existence with various methods and strategies. Such change cannot be observed when local authorities were chosen by the government. Also, the public administration has recently emphasized important factors of public design which seeks better lifestyle and outward beauty from quantitative growth and policy of strongly considering outward form due to the compressive modernization. Public design intends to complete aesthetic factor and improve the quality of life as the efficiency as the value of public administration. The purpose of this study is to discuss how public school has been evolved as public space and how to create local user-centered interaction. The study retrieve the communication which the essential publicness in the school public design and the self-management which is the original value in terms of sociology. The method in which the characters of the public design of the publicness have been changed will be concentrated on in public area. In addition, the study has been focused on the efforts of the reflection of the development in public design are the challenges for the aim of the design of the publicness.

한국상품문화디자인학회가 주최, 진행하고 있는 국제디자인공모전은 차세대 디자이너로서의 자질을 개발, 향상시켜 디자인 분야의 경쟁력을 강화하고 저변확대를 위해 진행하고 있는 공모전으로 'Red Award'라 불린다. 아이덴 분야를 비롯해 환경건축, 제품, 공공, 환경, 그래픽, 패션, 디지털컨텐츠, 일러스트, 및 패키지 관련 SP 분야로 나누어 시상하고 있다. 본 고에서는 지난 달 21일에 열린 국제디자인공모전 시상식에서 수상한 디자인 가운데 패키지관련 부문 수상작을 일부 살펴보도록 한다.

Korea's latest quantitative urban development led to a result to lose our public properties' identity provided by urban environment, so we now have to think how to solve environmental matter of one-sided public design. Because one city's public environment is the central axis to determine its first impression and also connected with its overall value, the region's value show obvious differences by its urban scape design. Therefore we analyzed current cityscape of Tokyo's Marunouchi street and Avenue des Champs-Elys$\acute{e}$es in Paris which applied how to connect visual and physical characteristics of urban space representation to outdoor space's nature well, and tried to reconsider what is our design identity of creative cityscape.

The interactive art and design can be interpreted as an intelligent system in the aspect of engineering. Because this information is treated and analyzed in real time and then such results is expressed in various media such as image, graphic, sound and etc. after these information are input through the sensor, camera and etc., for the efficient communication between human and production, namely, to communicate the interactive reaction, The image utilizing such interactive is being gradually developed as it widens its region in various art design fields. This research is purposed to make the system, which lets the citizens contact the information naturally by mixing the information for the environment with the interactive art of the arty type, and which lets the citizens feel the surrounding environment directly. This research will construct the live mood in the space itself and is utilized for the public art that can be directly experienced. It can provide the experience in the participation type that acquires the information being harmonized with the human naturally in the more developed type than the concept of the existing static installation. Therefore, it is sincerely required to research the interactive art in utilizing the public design.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the specific design guidelines for major physical elements like colors, patterns or shapes which can produce the place identity enhancing wayfinding affordability. The research consists with theoretical studies. From the precedent researches, the main design principles enhancing wayfinding affordability were defined and then the list and the nature of the major physical interior elements were drawn, based on them. The result presented that the specific design guidelines as well as design principles could be focused on the categories like generating landmarks, introducing color codes, floor patterns, and wall decorating. And dealing them to promote place identity, were shown as useful in articulating the pathway and indicating spatial orientation. Design guidelines as the result of the research, could be easily and directly applied on the real public spaces as a visual guidance enhancing navigability(the ability to recover position and orientation) to make up the wayfinding weakness.

Contemporary human beings have tendency to orient themselves to a natural environment while they have adapted themselves to artificial surroundings, which implies that a development of interior space where man, nature and space are in a sympathetic harmony with one another through overcoming non-naturalness and non-humanization is seriously needed. There are two methods in that; one concerns an introduction of environment-friendly expressions into the interior space as its natural factor, and the other involves expressing natural objects or beauties with orderly change commonly seen around in form of artificial design. On this study, the definition of ″Environment-friendliness″ and how it has evolved itself with time are first considered to search out for environment-friendly characteristics in the interior design. And then, among the characteristics of environment$.$friendly expressions widely observed in the interior space, the two aspects are studied for our purpose; an introduction of natural factors and an expression with artificial design. For the study, public facilities located in Ulsan were proposed since they accommodated lots of people. To meet the needs of the times that the development of environment-friendly space should reflect the factors of beauty and comfort enough to live in, relevant studies should be more activated and specialized. When there are a wide understanding of and a profound work upon introducing natural factors as well as ones of sound design into the interior space, a desirable environment-friendly expression could be created.

The purpose of this study is to present the direction for effective public environment design by becoming aware of the social, cultural and historical values that are inherent to the specific regions once again. Concept of regions' sense of identity, regions' resources and regionality were identified as a means based on the basic cityscape plan and guideline for public design. Sample city was analyzed by extracting the regionality elements, and the results are as follows. First, appropriateness of the direction for the public environment design based on the regional identity was confirmed. The need to establish regional identity in the cityscape plan is specified when it comes to the basic goal, strategy and direction. Second, public environment design should be planned within the context of the cityscape. It is necessary to improve with integrated plan by setting up the consistent goal, direction and detailed guideline based on the basic concept of cityscape plan. Third, 'design city' requires the development of the unique design and planned techniques based on the harmony with the existing resources. It is necessary to uncover the powerful design elements that are exclusive to specific regions, and to search for differentiation and visualization to form consensus. Public environment based on regional identity will improve if the above mentioned research results are used as the basic data when it comes to the implementation of public environment design.

Urban environment for human lives in the community area, a safe and pleasant urban environment with nature has developed to improve the city's space. The ultimate purpose of urban residents make to live on the city's creative environment, through the creative environment of public space as possible between the residents and the environment survives the interaction occurs can be called the space of communication. In this paper, survey about an independent organization of the public cultural center Facilities and utilization of the residents in Busan should investigate the connecting relationship between borough and identity. and through the comparisons between the public cultural center, analysis is to investigate the residents consciousness. These studies will be able to local residents about the volunteer doctors inspire a sense of responsibility and come up with a plan for improved quality of the public cultural center.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of color image for establishing the color environment contributing to the promotion of public health in the public health facilities and to utilize it as data of public health color plan and index development. For this purpose, the results of the previous precedent studies were integrated and public health facilities were classified into medical facilities (general hospitals), health facilities (public health centers), and sub - healing facilities (elderly care facilities). We visited 18 public health facilities in total, measured the environmental color of with a spectroscopic, compared the results and the precedent studies results, and identified color image characteristics and future supplement points. The results are as follows. First, the previous studies related to the environment color image vocabulary of the public health facilities, it prefer comfortable, bright and positive image. Second, as a result of direct measurement the environmental color of the public health facilities, it is found that most of them use the high brightness and low saturation color of Y series. Third, as a result of analyzing vocabulary of environmental color image of public health facilities, 'natural' image showed the highest frequency, and other images such as 'gentle' and 'decent' appeared. It was difficult to understand the characteristics of the color image vocabularies of public health facilities. This study is a convergence study of color science and environmental design, and it extends the scope of multidisciplinary research related to design and it will be helpful in environmental planning on user's emotion.
