A Study of Recognition of Housewives on Wedding Food in Seoul Area (서울지역 주부들의 혼례음식에 대한 인지도 조사)

  • This study was carried out to survey the degree of the recognition and necessity of wedding food to include $Ph{\grave{a}}ebak$ and Ibaji foods prepared by bride's parents and sent to the bridgroom's. The participants of the survey were 293 housewives of 20 years old or more residing in Seoul area. The questionnaires used in this research consisted of 10 questions. The findings could be summarized as follows: 1. As to the degree of the recognition of $Ph{\grave{a}}ebak$ food, 55.2 percent of the participants perceive it as 'the food sent to the bridegroomvs house to be used when the newly-weds greet groom's relatives, whereas 35.8 percent regarded the practice as 'a traditional custom from the ancient times,' which is, in fact, correct and exact. As to its importance, 10.2 percent regarded $Ph{\grave{a}}ebak$ food very important, while 48.5 percent, 'important,' and 11.9 percent, 'not important.' 2. As for the items for $Ph{\grave{a}}ebak$ dishes, 77.5 percent answered their preferences for 'jujube prop-nut,' followed by 'ricecake,' 'liquor' and 'Korean cookies,' in descending order. 3. As for the meaning of Ibaji dishes, 48.2% understand them as 'a set of dishes prepared by the bride's parents to be sent to the bridegroom's'; and as for their willingness or necessity of sending the Ibaji dishes, 15.5 percent indicated that they might prepare them, whereas 78.7 percent said that they would prepare them if the situation required. On the other hand 5.8 percent did not feel the necessity. The overall result is that most females surveyed recognized the two types of food important and were inclined to prepare them when the occasion demanded.

  • Due to the recent mid- to long-term slump and falling growth rates in the global economy, interest in organizational structures that create new products or services as a new alternative to survive and develop in an opaque environment both internally and externally, and enhance organizational sustainability through changes in production methods and business innovation is increasing day by day. In this atmosphere, we agree that the growth of small and medium-sized venture companies has a significant impact on the national economy, and various efforts are being made to enhance the technological innovation capabilities of the members so that these small and medium-sized venture companies can enhance and sustain their performance. The purpose of this study is also to investigate how the technological innovation capabilities of small and medium-sized venture companies correlate with the performance of knowledge management and to analyze the role of network capabilities to organize the strategic activities of enterprise to obtain the resources and organizational capabilities to be used for value creation from external networks. In other words, research was conducted on the impact of technological innovation capabilities of small and medium venture companies on knowledge management performance by using network capabilities as parameters. Therefore, in this study, we would like to verify the hypothesis that innovation capabilities will have a positive impact on knowledge management performance by using network capabilities of small and medium venture companies. Economic activities based on technological innovation capabilities should respond quickly to new changes in an environment where uncertainty has increased, and lead to macro-economic growth and development as well as overcoming long-term economic downturns so that they can become the nation's new growth engine as well as sustainable growth and survival of the organization. In addition, this study was conducted by setting the most important knowledge management performance within the organization as a dependent variable. As a result, R&D and learning capabilities among technological innovation capabilities have no impact on financial performance. In contrast, it was shown that corporate innovation activities have a positive impact on both financial and non-financial performance. The fact that non-financial factors such as quality and productivity improvement are identified in the management of small and medium-sized venture companies utilizing their technological innovation capabilities is contrary to a number of studies by those corporate innovation activities affect financial performance during prior research. The reason for this result is that research companies have been out of start-up companies for more than seven years, but sales are less than 10 billion won, and unlike start-up companies, R&D and learning capabilities have more positive effects on intangible non-financial performance than financial performance. Corporate innovation activities have been shown to have a positive (+) impact on both financial and non-financial performance, while R&D and learning capabilities have a positive (+) impact on financial performance by parameters of network capability. Corporate innovation activities have been shown to have no impact on both financial and non-financial performance, and R&D and learning capabilities have no impact on non-financial performance. It could be seen that the parameter effects of network competency are limited to when R&D and learning competencies are derived from quantitative financial performance. Development and Evaluation of Home Economics Teaching·Learning process plan for the practice of Caring and Sharing - Focusing on 'Happy Family Life and Culture Led by Family' Unit of High School Technology and Home Economics - (배려와 나눔 실천을 위한 가정과 교수·학습 과정안 개발과 평가 - 고등학교 기술·가정 '가족이 여는 행복한 가정생활 문화' 단원을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a teaching learning process plan for the practice of caring and sharing to improve character of highschool students through Home Economics subject. The teaching learning process plan consisting of 13-session lessons has been developed and implemented according to the ADDIE model for the unit of 'Happy Family Life and Culture led by Family'. The unit was divided into two themes: Theme I caring through sharing and Theme II caring through practice. Six practice elements of caring and sharing such as communication, gratitude, courage, love, empathy, and environment drawn from Theme I are applied to Theme II. Various activities and teaching materials as well as questionnaire were developed. The plan was applied to 8 classes, 287 freshmen of S highschool in Jeonju-si from March to May, 2014. Three factors were drawn from 35 character-related items: self-perception, perception of caring and sharing, and practice of caring and sharing. These factors were related to respondents' satisfaction with family relationships and school life. Two factors except self-perception improved through 13 lessons. Students evaluated that the whole caring and sharing practice lessons of Theme I and II gave them the chance to realize a actual practice in everyday life was important even with small efforts such as cooking for special family. Also students commented that the praising workbook was impressive. All 23 items of evaluation gained from over 3.5 to 4.2 on 5-point scale. It can be concluded that the teaching learning process plan for the practice of caring and sharing for the unit of 'Happy Family Life and Culture led by Family' would improve character of highschool students through the Home Economics subject.

A Study on the Influence of IT Education Service Quality on Educational Satisfaction, Work Application Intention, and Recommendation Intention: Focusing on the Moderating Effects of Learner Position and Participation Motivation (IT교육 서비스품질이 교육만족도, 현업적용의도 및 추천의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 학습자 직위 및 참여동기의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The fourth industrial revolution represents a revolutionary change in the business environment and its ecosystem, which is a fusion of Information Technology (IT) and other industries. In line with these recent changes, the Ministry of Employment and Labor of South Korea announced 'the Fourth Industrial Revolution Leader Training Program,' which includes five key support areas such as (1) smart manufacturing, (2) Internet of Things (IoT), (3) big data including Artificial Intelligence (AI), (4) information security, and (5) bio innovation. Based on this program, we can get a glimpse of the South Korean government's efforts and willingness to emit leading human resource with advanced IT knowledge in various fusion technology-related and newly emerging industries. On the other hand, in order to nurture excellent IT manpower in preparation for the fourth industrial revolution, the role of educational institutions capable of providing high quality IT education services is most of importance. However, these days, most IT educational institutions have had difficulties in providing customized IT education services that meet the needs of consumers (i.e., learners), without breaking away from the traditional framework of providing supplier-oriented education services. From previous studies, it has been found that the provision of customized education services centered on learners leads to high satisfaction of learners, and that higher satisfaction increases not only task performance and the possibility of business application but also learners' recommendation intention. However, since research has not yet been conducted in a comprehensive way that consider both antecedent and consequent factors of the learner's satisfaction, more empirical research on this is highly desirable. With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution, a rising interest in various convergence technologies utilizing information technology (IT) has brought with the growing realization of the important role played by IT-related education services. However, research on the role of IT education service quality in the context of IT education is relatively scarce in spite of the fact that research on general education service quality and satisfaction has been actively conducted in various contexts. In this study, therefore, the five dimensions of IT education service quality (i.e., tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy) are derived from the context of IT education, based on the SERVPERF model and related previous studies. In addition, the effects of these detailed IT education service quality factors on learners' educational satisfaction and their work application/recommendation intentions are examined. Furthermore, the moderating roles of learner position (i.e., practitioner group vs. manager group) and participation motivation (i.e., voluntary participation vs. involuntary participation) in relationships between IT education service quality factors and learners' educational satisfaction, work application intention, and recommendation intention are also investigated. In an analysis using the structural equation model (SEM) technique based on a questionnaire given to 203 participants of IT education programs in an 'M' IT educational institution in Seoul, South Korea, tangibles, reliability, and assurance were found to have a significant effect on educational satisfaction. This educational satisfaction was found to have a significant effect on both work application intention and recommendation intention. Moreover, it was discovered that learner position and participation motivation have a partial moderating impact on the relationship between IT education service quality factors and educational satisfaction. This study holds academic implications in that it is one of the first studies to apply the SERVPERF model (rather than the SERVQUAL model, which has been widely adopted by prior studies) is to demonstrate the influence of IT education service quality on learners' educational satisfaction, work application intention, and recommendation intention in an IT education environment. The results of this study are expected to provide practical guidance for IT education service providers who wish to enhance learners' educational satisfaction and service management efficiency.
