이동성을 갖는 장치들의 위치 정보를 관리하기 위하여 이동체 데이터베이스에 관한 연구가 필요하게 되었다. 이동체 색인의 검색에서 영역 질의와 궤적 질의는 공간 근접성과 궤적 연결성과 같이 상반된 특징으로 인하여 함께 고려되지 않았다. 이동체 색인에서 영역 질의의 성능개선을 위해서는 노드간의 심한 중복과 사장 공간(Dead space)을 줄여야 하고, 궤적 질의의 성능 개선을 위해서는 이동체의 궤적 보전이 이루어져야 한다. 이와 같은 요구 조건을 만족하기 위해, 이 논문에서는 R-tree를 기반의 색인 구조에서 새로운 분할 정책을 제안한다. 제시하는 색인 구조에서 단말 노드의 엔트리는 궤적이며, 비단말 노드의 엔트리는 자식 노드이다. 단말 노드 분할 정책에서 동일 궤적을 그룹화해서 분할 하는 공간 축 분할 정책과 공간 활용도를 높이는 시간 축 분할 정책을 제안한다. 시간 축 분할 후 사장영역이 클 경우에는 다중 분할을 수행하여 사장 공간을 줄이고 노드간의 중복을 최소화한다. 비 단말 노드 분할 정책에서는 같은 궤적을 저장하는 노드들을 연결 노드(Connected Node)라고 정의하고, 엔트리의 궤적 연결성을 기준으로 분할한다.

A methodology to resolve a TOPMODEL problem has been suggested, which is associated with the spatial distribution of soil moisture behaviour in a runoff mechanism. A procedure to integrate the spatial information of saturation deficit in the TOPMODEL reflects the connectivity of saturated area in a watershed. The developed algorithm includes an improved basis in tracing the runoff path without increasing the number of parameters. The performance of the developed algorithm has been tested to an upland subwatershed, namely Dongok, which is the IHP watershed located at Wichon, Korea. Comparing with the original statistical version of the TOPMODEL, it has been found that the suggested algorithm can relax an overestimation of peak rate in the runoff simulation.

담수 생물종 시식역의 보전을 위해 하천 연결성 유지와 회복이 중요하지만, 하천관리에 있어 이를 고려하기 위한 기초자료나 관련 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 특히 인공장벽(artificial barrier) 영향에 대한 대부분의 연구는 어류이동에 초점을 두고 있거나, 그 공간적 범위를 제한하는 경향이 있다. 본 연구는 강과 하천을 연속체 개념으로 접근하여 생태학적 과정을 방해할 수 있는 모든 인위적 구조물을 인공장벽으로 간주하고, 댐과 저수지, 보와 같이 하천의 종적 연결성을 저해하는 3개 유형의 인공 구조물에 대해 공간자료를 구축하였다. 수치지형도로부터 하천중심선과 수리시설물(보), 호소 및 저수지 경계를 교차(intersection) 분석하여 유형별 구조물의 위치 정보를 추출하고, 기존 자료와의 비교·검증을 통해 자료의 신뢰성을 도모하였다. 인공장벽에 대한 공간자료는 구조물의 유형에 따라 국가하천과 지방하천, 소하천으로 구분하고 낙동강 대권역 내 총 195개 표준유역에 대해 밀도(barrier density)를 계산하였는데, 여기서의 밀도는 하천 연장에 대한 총 인공장벽의 수로 정의(barriers/km)된다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 낙동강 유역 내 인공 장벽의 밀도와 유형, 하천별 공간분포에 대한 정량적 평가를 포함하고 있으며, 이를 기반으로 수생태계 연결성 회복을 위한 하천관리방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 분석 방법과 결과 등 자세한 내용은 발표를 통해 제시될 예정이다.

The current Internet space is evolving to the so called Ubiquitous space. Unlike the Internet space, the information in the Ubiquitous space is distributed evenly in the places like computer's memory, human's brain and physical machine. The 'hypertext', the connection model of the information, which is originally designed for the Internet space doesn't suit well to the Ubiquitous space. From this point of view, we proposed the CPM model in this paper. The CPM model is designed for comprising the such three computing mechanism as analog computing, digital computing and human computing. In this paper, we showed that the characteristics of the CPM model might answer the such purpose as the connection of information in the Ubiquitous space.

부산 광안리 일대는 해수욕장과 광안대교 그리고 불꽃축제와 해양레저센터 등을 두루 갖춘 국제적인 관광명소이다. 특히 김해국제공항으로부터 부산에 진입하는 경우 공항에서 연결된 자동차 전용도로가 광안대교에 연결되어 있기 때문에 외지에서 볼 때, 가장먼저 부산의 바다를 보게 되는 장소이기도 하다. 따라서 광안리 도시공간은 바다와 내륙의 관광명소가 어우러진다는 부산의 정체성을 잘 보여주는 장소로서 그 의미가 더욱 크다. 그러나 광안리 도시공간이 국제적인 명소로 확고하게 정착되기 위해서는 보완해야 할 공공디자인적 요소들이 있다. 그것은 도시공간의 결절점과 확장성, 광안리를 향한 보행자의 접근로, 해변공간의 구조, 건축물들의 파사드와 같은 것들이다. 본 연구는 이러한 요소들을 정리하고 분석하여 광안리 도시공간의 업그레이드를 위한 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통하여 부산의 대표적인 관광명소인 광안리와 그 일대의 도시공간이 향후 세계적인 규모의 행사 수용은 물론 장기적인 발전이 가능해지는 초석이 될 것이다.

Dynamic free-space optical interconnection system is experimented by a holographic crossbar with single-state switching architecture. For dynamic operation, electrically addressed liquid-crystal spatial light modulator and diffraction gratings are used in place of passive holograms of matrix-matrix crossbar. Diffraction gratings are consisted of regular cells which have different phase delays. This pixelated phase grating array displayed on SLM(Spatial Light modulator) deflects an input beam toward a wanted direction or splits an input beam into many beams and then steers them to desired positions. Through the experimental results, free-space optical interconnection is dynamically perfomed using a computer, SLM and phase diffraction gratings.

확정절 문법은 구 구조문법을 명시하는데 사용된 후 계산이론적 언어학자들이 많은 연구를 하는 분야이다. 확정절 문법은 혼절에 근거하고 있기 때문에 관계절 공간연결 파서를 구성할 때 메우개-공간 의존을 자연스럽게 설명할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 메우개-공간 의존을 처리할 수 있는 일반 구 구조문법 GPSG의 특성에 대해서 논하고 일반 구 구조 문법을 논리 문법으로 확장할 수 있는 방법에 대해서 기술하였다. [7]에서는 메우개-공간 의존을 설명하기 위해서 직관적 논리를 이용하였다. 여기에서는[7]의 직관적 논리 문법의 한계에 대해서 논하였다. 또 [5]에서는 일차 선형 논리를 이용하였는데, 이는 공간연결 파서로 자연어 문장을 논리식으로 번역하는데 사용될 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고차 선형 논리문법을 이용하여 자연어 파서를 구성하였다.

Mobile communications is argued to reshape and activate the existing space by increasing 'mobile communicability en route' and 'real time interaction.' This study is designed to make an empirical analysis on how different the use of a cellular phone is in each different space. In this study, the space is divided into three distinct parts including the private, social and public space. First, spatial micro-coordination and experience of polysemy of place are widely observed in the use of a mobile phone in the private space. Secondly, it is found that a mobile phone contributes to extending the scope of social contacts which in turn compliments the existing social relationship. Moreover, a full-time intimate community that is connected via a mobile phone results in reshaping the social space. Lastly, the study shows that the usage pattern of a mobile phone varies depending on the type of public space. The technological development is envisaged to lead to more demand for the public space while facilitating the use of the public space.

This paper presents the development of a certain highly efficient authoring tool for constructing realistic 3D virtual space using image-based rendering techniques based on a virtual space map. Unlike conventional techniques such as TIP, for constructing a small 3D virtual space using single image, the authoring tool developed herein produces a wide 3D virtual space using multiple images. This tool is designed for constructing each small 3D virtual space for each input image, and for interconnecting these 3D virtual spaces into a wide 3D virtual space using a virtual space map. The map consists of three elements such as specific room, link point and passageway, and three directions. It contains various information such as the connection structure, the navigation information and so on. Also, the tool contains a user interface that let users construct the wide 3D virtual space easily.
