A Study on Planning Open Space between Civic Buildings as an Active Place (적극적 장소로서의 도심의 건물 외부 오픈 스페이스 환경 계획에 관한 연구)

  • In recent years space planning for modern city has been accomplished through scientific high technique and computer supported collaborative work. Relatively human being is treated as a component of the space or whole building and according to the social structure people tend to prefer private space. The necessity of the open space as an active place is emphasized now because the interaction created between users of the space and the nature, surrounding environment can influence on improving quality of outdoor life and giving the place specific identity. In this paper three ways of analyses of components which compose the open space are studied. Especially through the process of analyses derived from differenet areas, the necessity of communication model in collaborative work is proposed.

  • This study can be expressed by gathered and formed into the exhibition space's structure practical progress/ application. For the one model of fascinating exhibition's space thru inter-space's pertinent adjustment, production between spactator and exhibition constituent on an exhibition story-line, I adjusted the focus to follow mentioned methods systematically for the example; An exhibition space is completed to be very impressive and attractive space by proper adjustment and production of M-M/C interface in exhibition storyline. Quantity space is transfered into quality space through the transmission of an exhibition which can be define as the point of an exhibition structure. And also could de transferd into a bodily sensation space that inherent full of interactive constituent. Changeable exhibition constituents (exhibition item and text) that sporadically expatiated (not trimed, the original form) in the process of an exhibition structure draw much higer quality of the optimal solution in optimize process which is given when aggregate again to contextual flow of synthetic exhibition scenario. Reconstruction of individual exhibition constituents to the new story, that is, transference of exhibition text to exhibition context is inspirit to an exhibition by maximize the exhibition effect in connection can be systematized through carrying out an outcentripetalpart. However, since pattern of an exhibition structure that consequtively meet variety spacetime of an exhibittion environmental can't be exist, this study presents centralizing the exhibition plan of Korea communication pavilion of the annual Expo Comm Wireress Korea, sustained process from design proposal, research and analysis to synthesis, development, transmission and management to an example of an applying crystallization.

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the nature of direction of the design corresponding to a human-centered design, digitalism, ecological design, and culture-oriented design which is an issue of design in the 21st century, from the design of the inside of a room. As a method of approach to this objective, first, 1 understand the form of boundary structure appearing in space, through the theoretical investigation of a boundary form. This research is trying to elicit the expression characteristic of kineticism which was introduced to the boundary form as a factor constituting space, by investigating the characteristic of kinaticism which was expressed in plastic arts and other genres. As a process of the proceeding of this investigation, It is explained the background, purpose, and method of this study in Chapter I, and look into the characteristic of the unfolding and expression of kinetic arts as well as the structure of a boundary form of space in Chapter II. In Chapter III, I divide the aspect of modern architectural space into realistic movement, relative movement, and associational movement and examine them. In Chapter IV, I investigate a case of modern space in which the three types of the characteristic of movement mentioned in Chapter Three was expressed, and analyze to what boundary structure the space was introduced. Last of all, in Chapter V, I elicit the characteristic of a boundary form of kineticism which was the result that appeared through the above analysis, and present the nature of future direction of interior.

  • The current formal and memorized design repetition training and practice is wandering in the uniform flat design thinking expression. To change these two-dimensional current issues into a three-dimensional design method, set the direction for each grade level under the integrated convergence educational goal and carry out projects step by step to understand design, the principle of spatial composition, the introduction of traditional design history, and the overall design of craft design. Creative and practical skills such as approach should be cultivated. Designers can only be produced through systematic education and training. In order to lead society and succeed, a designer who has experienced solutions and countermeasures on how to adapt themselves to the demands of various changes in the times must come to the field. Education experts insisted on innovation of the organizational structure and subject of the education system, and emphasized the importance of education in response to the rapid pace of change in the 21st century. This study aims to propose an educational system that combines academic research with a structural approach to tasks by setting a project that reflects the needs of society for convergence practice in which design and adjacent disciplines are linked through understanding and analysis of these issues.

도면 중첩법을 활용한 가상경관 설계 방법론 - 디지털 게임 속 가상경관을 중심으로 -

  • 컴퓨터 기술이 발전함에 따라 디지털 게임 속 가상경관은 보다 정교해지고 있으며, 설계 및 구현 과정에서 고려를 요구하는 요소들이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 여태 가상경관 설계를 위한 정형화된 설계 방법론도 전무한 관계로, 디자이너들은 비효율적인 설계 과정을 거치며 동시에 질적으로도 만족스럽지 못한 결과물을 구축하고 있다. Ian McHarg의 도면 중첩법은 레이어 단위로 설계 고려요소를 정리하여 설계를 진행하기에, 설계에 고려할 요소들을 체계적으로 종합하는 디자인의 진행이 가능하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 도면 중첩법을 활용한 가상경관 설계 방법론을 구축하였다. 이를 위해서 우선 가상경관의 공간적 특수성에 따라 분류를 진행하는 분류 방법론을 문헌 조사를 통해 파악하여, 이들을 각각의 레이어로 조직하였다. 그리고 설계 영역으로서의 가상경관과 실공간의 차이점을 파악하여 이들을 기반으로 한 가상경관 설계 방법론을 구축하였다. 마지막으로 프로토콜 분석방법론과 공간 구성요소의 비교분석을 통하여 본 연구에서 구축한 설계 방법론의 유효성을 검증하였다. 검증 결과, 본 설계 방법론은 디자이너들의 작업 시간을 22% 이상 줄일 수 있었으며, 동시에 작품의 질을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 향후 본 설계 방법론은 디지털 게임을 비롯한 가상경관 설계 및 구현의 영역에서 활발한 활용을 기대할 수 있을 수 있으며, 나아가 가상경관을 조경 설계의 한 영역으로써 확장이 가능할 것임을 시사한다.

  • The Korean education program and environment do not meet the increasing demand of daycare by facility, manpower, and budget deficits although Korea has also been interested in the convergent human resource with integrated ideas by creative education since the introduction of the Nuri curriculum for 5 year old children in 2011. Thus, the purpose of this study is to establish the preschool education program and design the proper space for developing the creativity of children. The procedure of this study is as follows. First, this study proposes the direction for establishing the daycare programs after examining the existing Korean daycare facilities and programs based on documented references about designs for daycare facilities. Second, this study proposes the program plans based on the framework establishment for developing preschool education programs by combination of 5 types of children's behavior on play and 5 types of formative principles for creative education with play. Third, this study proposes the direction of designs and conditions of daycare facilities for effectively managing the programs previously mentioned. As a result of theprocedure, this study comprehensively delineates the education program models and space plans for developing the creativity of Korean children, and suggests the necessity of development model of continuous education program by establishment of frameworks and the significance of space for effectively managing the model.

A Study on the Deduction of the Forest Play Activity and Space through Preschooler Participatory Workshop (유아참여 워크숍을 통한 숲놀이 활동 및 공간 요소의 도출에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, user participatory workshops have been applied as a way to plan landscape spaces that reflects the needs and demands of the users. It is also required to improve the quality of the FECC (Forest Experience Center for Children), which is growing rapidly. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to deduct the design elements (forest play activities and space), the basic needs, and the demands of users in making the FECC a preschooler participatory workshop. For this, materials for preschooler participation were selected, and a step-by-step workshop was conducted to satisfy the demands of the preschooler's development. First, in the pre-workshops phase, design elements standards were deducted through the preschooler participatory results (41 children aged 6 and 7, Kindergarten). Second, in the main workshop phase, the design elements to be introduced on the site (Songsan-mulbit FECC) were deducted through the participating preschooler's selection and those results were analyzed. The materials used at the preschooler participatory process were 'drawing a picture' in the pre-workshop phase, and the design elements and the standard types charts were the forest play activity pictogram chart, and the forest play space general images chart in the main workshop. As for results, frst, there are 38 standard types of forest play activities that have been deducted. It consists of 27 cognitive activities (functional 16, constructive 4, symbolic 4, game on rule 3), 9 games (sensory 5, other 4), and two social play activities (solo, group). There are 21 standard types of forest play spaces. They consist of 8 play facility spaces (5 facility, 3 natural), 2 water spaces, and 11 spaces of 5 types. Second, as a result of applying the results to the site, the forest play activities to be introduced on the site were selected, and the functional play was most selected. Additionally, climbing and water play were most selected as the unit activities. Also, functional, constructive, symbolic, games based on rules were selected, even in the preschooler's development play. In the case of the forest play spaces to be introduced in the site, the preschooler's selection results by sex and age tended to be similar to the preschooler's comprehensive selection results, but the boys preferred function and adventure spaces more than the girls, while the girls preferred rest spaces more than the boys. This result is similar to the previous study results, which directly observed the preschooler's forest play behavior, and analysis that the preschooler recognized the site and selected the design elements introduced on the site. Therefore, the participatory workshop process and the materials process in this study are analyzed and applied to the purpose of the study. It is valuable as a case to be applied in design of the FECC from this point forward.

Research on Landscape Design by Flexibly Using Resilient Theory - Focused On 'New York High Line Park'- (리질리언트 이론을 활용한 경관 디자인에 관한 연구 - 'The High Line' 를 중심으로 -)

  • As the development of urbanization has cause some environmental problems and natural disasters such as natural earthquakes and floods have brought about impact, designers have turned their attention to the independent prevention ability of urban ecosystems in face of environmental pollution and natural disasters, as well as its ability to adapt to the future. This study introduces 'elasticity theory' to discuss the practical application of elasticity design in landscapes and to solve the problem of lack of elasticity in space, which can provide more scientific reference meaning to create economic, cultural, and social values for space. After selecting 'The High Line' as the object, this paper investigates the previous theories and practical cases, and infers ecology, sustainability, diversity, and adaptability. And then this paper applies five components and analyzes the specific application of these five components of the landscape spatial elasticity strategy, and summarizes the application characteristics and influencing factors of elasticity design in 'The High Line' landscape planning. It can be known from the research that elasticity strategy which is reflected in the design process is the systematic management of landscape space. Elasticity design itself can strengthen environment quality and satisfy the requirements of the environment to defense external shocks so as to adapt to environment changes. Therefore, the elasticity design can strengthen the sustainable development of the city and establish a periodic recycle system.

An evaluation of the composition and elements in Korean traditional interior space - On Choosa-Gotack in the Chosun dynasty - (한국전통 실내공간의 구성방법과 요소 분석을 통한 의미 고찰 - 조선조 추사고택을 중심으로 -)

  • CHOOSA GORACK which is a typical example of traditional houses in the CHO SEON dynasty consists of the four terraced builfing group. Among those,SADANG CHAI are located in the highest level,and SADANG CHAI and SADANG CHAI are toward south direction.It means that building orientation and level were influenced by the distinction of social level and the idea of ancester worship. Floor and ceiling level in the same building is different which was caused by the distinetion of social level in the CHO SEON dynasty and an ariental dual as a variety of openings,exposed ceilings,and furniture against a wall were creating a typical Korean visual harmony. Although the furniture and equipments were very important elements in ONDOL BANG the occupance ratio of these were low because the free space in BANG should be utilized effectively to accommodate the space variation.Both an AN CHAI and SARANG CHAI were composed by the standard space module called KAN.And interior elements were established by several factors such as the human scale,the behavior pattern in traditional sitting life style, and the lumber size of post and lintel construction of Korean house.BANG and DAE GHUNG, composed of KAN,were expanded and arranged side by side so that the natural light and ventilation through them could be used in the result of the kind of lay out,traffic circulation was disturved.In conclusion,CHOOSA GOTACK was formed by the sirect effice of the KOREAN penisula. However this study was based on one sample. It may not enough to deduct soild conclusion.Therefore continuous and farher study is needed for the sestemane evaluation.

A Study of the Architectural Characteristics Depicted on Andre Courrs Fashion Design (앙드레 꾸레쥬의 패션 디자인에 나타난 건축양식 특성연구)

  • 앙드레 꾸레쥬는 자신의 디자인에 건축적 조형미를 표현한 대표적인 디자이너이다. 그의 디자인들은 라인 뿐 아니라 색채, 소재, 액세서리에 이르기까지 건물을 짓듯이 설계, 구성되어 있다. 최근 복식미의 건축적 조형성이 강조되고 있는 것을 감안할 때, 60년대 이미 선구자적인 역할을 하면서 자신의 건축가적인 기호를 유감없이 발휘해온 꾸레쥬를 연구한다는 것은 21세기를 향한 패션의 발전 측면에서 조금이라도 의미가 있지 않을까 생각한다. 본 연구에서는 앙드레 꾸fp쥬가 가장 활발히 활동했던 1974년에서 1970년까지 그의 디자인들을 집중 연구하였는데, 그의 패션디자인에 건축양식의 특징들이 어떻게 나타났는지에 연구의 초점을 맞추었다. 본 연구의 대상으로 사용된 실제의 옷 샘플들은 뉴욕 메트로폴리탄 예술박물관내의 Costume Institute Storage 에 있는 의복과 액세서리들을 직접, 관찰 , 분석한것이고 그 박의 사진들은 패션과 건축에 관한 서적과 잡지, 박물관내의 Slide Library , 그리고 Costume Institute Library Collection에서 발췌 , 비교 연구한 것이다. 일찍이 엔지니어링과 건축을 공부했던 앙드레 꾸레쥬는 50년대의 패션 디자이너의 거장 발렌시아가 밑에서 10년 넘게 일하다가 독립하였는데 그의 디자인 세계는 줄곧 여성들이 입고 편히 활동 할 수 있는 기능성을 강조하면서 단순하고 편안한 의복 구성에 중점을 두었다. 그리고 그는 이러한 자신의 패션 철학과 의복제작 과정들은 현대건물이 갖는 단순성, 기능성의 특징과 일치한다고 믿었다. A. 라인(Line) 앙드레 꾸레쥬는 패션 디자인에서의 비레는 건축에서구조를 쌓아가는 것과 같은 것이라고 생각하고 옷에서의 기본 구성을 기하학적인 라인에 두었다. 그래서 그의 옷들은 A-라인, 사각형, 사다리꼴,,, 등의 분명한 실루엣을 이루고 있는데 이러한 기본라인을 뒷받침이라도 하듯 소매가 아주 짧거나 없는 것이 특징이다. 황금분할이 아닌 1 : 1 구성은 그가 독특하게 사용한 비례방법의 하나인데 그것은 자켓과 스커트의 길이비례, 요크와 몸판간의 면적비례 등에서 잘 나타나고 있다. 그리고 그는 , 의복구성의 비례를 강조하기 위해 사용한 강한 색상의 대비를 현대건물의 인테리어에 빛을 사용하는 것과 같은 이치라고 설명한다. B.색상(Color) 흰색은 그러한 그의 비례강조 의복에 가장 적절한 색으로 사용되었다. 그는 빨강, 오렌지, 녹색, 분홍등 강렬한 원색을 사용하였는데도 불구하고 흰색은 그의 건축양식 발상의 Ideo를 완성시키는 완전한 색이었다. 뜨거운 날씨에 흰색이 가장 기능적인 색인 것처럼 강한 원색 대비를 통해 비례강조를 하면서 동시에 그것을 뒷받침하는 가장 합리적이고 기능적인 색은 흰색이라고 믿었다. C. 소재 (Material) 앙드레 꾸레쥬는 건물을 짓듯이 사람위에 옷을 건축한다고 믿었기 때문에 자연히 둔탁하고 딱딱한 소재가 많이 사용되었다. 비닐, 금속류, 시퀸스처럼 광택나고 투명한 재료 선호는 그 당시 현대 건축에서 선풍적으로 많이 사용되었던 유리, 금속류, 크리스탈 등 비치고 광택나는 건축재료와 일맥상통하는 것이다. 그러한 선국적인 내료 사용결과로 보여진 괴상하고 선정적인 그러면서도 아주 단순한 패션은 미래 지향적인 건축양식 구조의 " Simple", "Plain" 느낌과 정확하게 같은 것이다. 이상과 같이 앙드레 꾸레쥬는 옷을 디자인 했다기 보다는 건축했다. 주목할만한 점은 60년대 말 당시 발표되었던 그의 건축 구조적인 디자인의 특징들이 21세기를 앞둔 90년대에 다시 크게 유행하고있다는 점이다. 꾸레쥬 역시, 최근 자신의 디자인을 통해 건축적 조형미와 미래지향적 이미지를 더욱 강조하고 있는 것을 볼 수있다. 단순하면서 우주공간을 선회하는 듯한 입체적인 라인, 흰색을 비롯한 자연에 가까운 색을 중심으로 하되, 밝은 색조의 하이라이트, 플라스틱, 금속류와 같이 딱딱하고 광택나며 비치는 재료 사용,, 등등이 바로 그것이다. 그리고 이러한 그에 미래 지향적이고 조형적인 디자인들은 앞으로 어떻게 더 모험적인 모습으로 선보일지 우리 모두가 주목할만한 일인 것이다.
