A Study on the GIS-based Deterministic MCDA Techniques for Evaluating the Flood Damage Reduction Alternatives (확정론적 다중의사결정기법을 이용한 최적 홍수저감대책 선정 기법 연구)

  • Conventional MCDA techniques have been used in the field of water resources in the past. A GIS can offer an effective spatial data-handling tool that can enhance water resources modeling through interfaces with sophisticated models. However, GIS systems have a limited capability as far as the analysis of the value structure is concerned. The MCDA techniques provide the tools for aggregating the geographical data and the decision maker's preferences into a one-dimensional value for analyzing alternative decisions. In other words, the MCDA allows multiple criteria to be used in deciding upon the best alternatives. The combination of GIS and MCDA capabilities is of critical importance in spatial multi-criteria analysis. The advantage of having spatial data is that it allows the consideration of the unique characteristics at every point. The purpose of this study is to identify, review, and evaluate the performance of a number of conventional MCDA techniques for integration with GIS. Even though there are a number of techniques which have been applied in many fields, this study will only consider the techniques that have been applied in floodplain decision-making problems. Two different methods for multi-criteria evaluation were selected to be integrated with GIS. These two algorithms are Compromise Programming (CP), Spatial Compromise Programming (SCP). The target region for a demonstration application of the methodology was the Suyoung River Basin in Korea.

  • Recently, many people can experience the virtual space by smartphone, and they use many games. In particular, this change has great implications in the collaborative and communicative planning paradigm, which is residents' participation and agreement becoming important in community making and urban design. This study analyze the case of the five virtual space games about community making and urban design, and examine the related regal system. Game users can construct roads, houses, buildings and facilities in the virtual city. Then, they create profit, and promote the growth of virtual city. In these games, construction elements are classified residential, commercial, industrial, parks, green spaces, public building, and roads. But these elements does not identified clearly, and they mixed. By analyzing of related regal system, these games focus on the individual buildings, spaces, and facilities rather than considering the terms of urban planning. To complement the virtual space game with the aspects of urban planning, these games can encourage the participation capability and enhance the communication skills of citizens.

  • This study presents an effective stiffness-based optimal technique to control quantitatively lateral drift and evaluate the structural behavior characteristics and efficiency for tall outrigger system subject to lateral loads. To this end, displacement sensitivity depending on behavior characteristics of outrigger system is established and approximation concept that preserves the generality of the mathematical programming and can efficiently solve large scale problems is introduced. Specifically, under the 'constant-shape' assumption, resizing technique of member is developed. Four types of 50 story frameworks are presented to illustrate the features of the quantitative lateral drift control technique proposed in this study.

  • The structural optimization is carried out in the continuous design space or discrete design space. Methods for discrete variables such as genetic algorithms are extremely expensive in computational cost. In this research, an iterative optimization algorithm using orthogonal arrays is developed for design in discrete space. An orthogonal array is selected on a discrete design space and levels are selected from candidate values. Matrix experiments with the orthogonal array are conducted. New results of matrix experiments are obtained with penalty functions for constraints. A new design is determined from analysis of means(ANOM). An orthogonal array is defined around the new values and matrix experiments are conducted. The final optimum design is found from iterative process. The suggested algorithm has been applied to various problems such as truss and frame type structures. The results are compared with those from a genetic algorithm and discussed.

  • 침수 피해를 방지하고 경감하기 위해서는 침수범위와 침수심을 예측하여 예상침수심에 대응하기 위한 홍수방어대책 수립이 필요하다. 본 연구는 방어침수심보다 아래에 위치한 건축물에 대해서 거실용도로 사용을 제한하는 수방기준을 마련했을 경우에 대하여 비용편익 분석을 통한 경제성 분석을 수행하고자 한다. 한편, 침수지역 및 침수심 산정을 위하여서는 GIS를 이용한 분석이 필요하며, GIS 분석을 통하여 산정된 결과를 바탕으로 건물피해액과 건물내용물에 대한 피해액을 산정할 수 있다. 적용과정에서 현재 서울시에서 구축되어진 데이터 구축 자료의 특성에 맞게 다차원법에서 제시한 일부 방법들을 수정하였다. 본 연구 결과 방어침수심의 설정을 통해 건축물에 대한 홍수피해를 방지하고, 주민의 보호 등을 포함한 침수피해방지대책 계획 수립에 이용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 범죄발생의 공간특성을 고려하지 않고, 방범 CCTV에 대한 체계적인 설치계획과 위치, 타당성 검증에 위한 과학적 분석은 전무한 상태에서 주민들의 민원이 빈발하는 지역 등에 CCTV를 중점적으로 설치하는 경우가 대부분인 실정이다. 본 연구는 효율적인 범죄예방을 위해 GIS 공간분석 기반의 표준화된 인위적 감시도구(CCTV) 설치위치 평가 방법론을 정립하기 위한 기초연구로서, 선행연구 및 법 가이드라인 조사를 통해 설문지를 기반으로 통계 분석 및 전문가 회의를 거쳐 CCTV 설치위치 분석을 위한 평가지표를 도출하였다.

A Study on the Improvement of Inspection System for Building Maintenance (건축물 유지관리점검 체계화를 위한 제도 개선방안)

  • As the life cycle of buildings is expected to increase, new constructions will decrease and the proportion of remodeling and repair will increase. Therefore, there is an increasing need for overall performance management of old buildings. In 2020, the proportion of buildings over 30 years old is expected to reach a half. As a result, the demand for securing and improving the performance in the stage of using the building is increasing due to the change in the demand for the building, such as the decrease in the construction permit and the increase in the use of the existing building. From this perspective, the study sought to consider institutional measures to organize the preventive and conservative maintenance of buildings. For this purpose, the conceptual goals of inspection for building maintenance were set through a literature review, and the status and problems associated with building maintenance were analyzed to suggest ways to improve the inspection system for building maintenance.

Analysing Spatial Usage Characteristics of Shared E-scooter: Focused on Spatial Autocorrelation Modeling (공유 전동킥보드의 공간적 이용특성 분석: 공간자기상관모형을 중심으로)

  • Policy improvement such as the revision of the Road Traffic Act are proposed for personal mobility(especially e-scooter) usage. However, there is not enough discussion to solve the problem of using shared e-scooter. In this study, we analyze the influencing factors that amount of pick-up and drop-off of shared e-scooter by dividing the Seoul into a 200m grid. we develop spatial auotcorrelation model such as spatial lag model, spatial error model, spatial durbin model, and spatial durbin error model in order to consider the characteristics of the aggregated data based on a specific space, and the spatial durbin error model is selected as the final model. As a result, demographic factor, land use factor, and transport facility factors have statistically significant impacts on usage of shared e-scooter. The result of this study will be used as basic data for suggesting efficient operation strategies considering the characteristics of weekday and weekend.

Seismic Analysis of Tunnel Structures (터널구조물의 내진해석)

  • Generally, it has been noted that underground structures have a consistent record of suffering much less damage than surface facilities during earthquakes; but it is still necessary to illustrate the dynamic response of tunnel structures subject to earthquake loadings and to provide the appropriate method for the seismic analysis of underground tunnel structures since many types of underground structures have been and will be constructed in countries situated within seismic zones. In this study, first, seismic analyses for underground tunnel structures are performed by using quasistatic analysis method and dynamic analysis method. Second, seismic analyses in tunnel portals are performed by using above methods. The results of seismic analyses for the tunnel structure show that the tunnel structure conforms to ground deformation and that seismic design by using the quasi-static analysis method is more conservative than that by using the dynamic analysis. The results of the dynamic FEM analysis for the tunnel structure show that the simplified 2-D FEM analysis using a sine wave rather than the 3-D FEM analysis can be adopted for seismic analysis. Finally, the results of the dynamic FEM analysis in tunnel portals show that the force acting on the lining is largest near to the tunnel portal when an earthquake wave propagates parallel to tunnel axis.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a proactive methodology for disruption due to uncertainty in vessels' arrival time. As worldwide imports and exports increased rapidly, the importance of berth planning in container terminals has increased accordingly. Since the berth plan determines the capacity of the container terminal, it aims to maximize efficiency by minimizing the time and space gap between the vessels. In reality, several uncertainties disrupt the initial berth plan resulting in economic losses. In this study, we propose a robust berth plan for preventing disruption.
