Predictions of Curvature Ductility Factor of Reinforced Concrete Beam Sections Used High Strength Concrete and Steel (고강도 재료를 사용한 철근콘크리트 보 단면의 곡률연성지수 예측)

  • The high strength materials have been more widely used in a large reinforced concrete structures. It is known that the use of high strength material in RC structures give the benefits of the mechanical and durable properties, but the ductility decreases with an increase in the strength of the materials. In the design of a reinforced concrete beam, both the flexural strength and ductility need to be considered. So, it is necessary to assess accurately the ductility of the beam with high strength materials in order to ensure the ductility requirement in design. In this study, the effects of the material strength on the flexural behavior and curvature ductility factor of reinforcement concrete beam sections with various reinforcement conditions have been evaluated and a newly prediction formula for curvature ductility factor of RC beam has been developed considering the stress of compression reinforcement at ultimate state. The proposed predictions for the curvature ductility factor which is applicable to both singly and doubly reinforced concrete beam are verified by comparisons with other prediction formulas and the proposed formula offers fairly accurate within 9% error and consistent predictions for curvature ductility factor of reinforced concrete beam.

막과 케이블 구조물의 형상탐색해석

  • 이 글에서는 막 구조물의 설계에서 자주 제기되는 형상결정 문제에 대한 접근방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 형상결정 문제는 막 구조물이 휨 강성이 전혀 없거나, 빈약한 재료를 사용하는데 기인하여 제기되고, 막 구조물의 설계에서 불안정영역의 발생을 피하기 위해서는 형상의 기준면에서 곡률과 비틀림의 변화를 최소화해야 하며 이러한 변화를 최소화하기 위해서는 형상이 적용하중의 막력에 의한 평형면에 근접하는 것이 바람직하다. 또한, 초기에 막 구조물에 도입된 초기장력에 오차가 발새하면 막면은 스스로 등장력의 형태로 이동하게 되므로, 초기에 막장력의 분포가 등장력의 상태가 되도록 그 형상을 결정하는 것이 바람직하다. 따라서, 이러한 조건을 만족하는 형상탐색문제는 이러한 종류의 구조물의 설계에서는 매우 중요한 문제가 된다. 그러나 국내에서는 막과 케이블 구조물의 형상해석과 응력-변형해석에 범용적으로 사용될 수 있는 프로그램의 개발이 미약하고 이러한 구조방식에 대한 국내의 인식에 크게 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 이 글이 막과 케이블 구조물의 설계에서 형상탐색해석이 반드시 필요한 이 구조물의 구조적 특성을 이해하는데 조금이라도 도움이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.

A Study on the Curvature Characteristic of the Incomplete Composite Girder Considering the Deflection Effect (처짐을 고려한 불완전합성형의 곡률특성에 관한 연구)

  • Current composite steel and concrete bridges are designed using full-interaction theory assuming there is no relative slip, between the steel and concrete components along their interface, because of the complexities of partial-interaction analysis techniques. However, in the assessment of existing composite bridges this simplification may not be warranted as it is often necesary to extract the correct capacity and endurance from the structure. This may only be achieved using partial-interaction theory which tuly reflects the behaviour of the structure. In this paper, Parametric analyses have been carried out in order to confirm the partial-interaction curvatures with deflection effect using the finite element method. Therefore, the model is considered for simply supported steel and concrete composite bridges with a uniform distribution of connectors subjected to a single concentrated load. For the case studies, this study applicate a parameters such as the number and space of stud shear connector and elastic modulus of concrete slabs. From this study, it is known that partial-interaction effect was in the increase to the increasing the deflection of composite bridges, and stiffness and strength of slab concrete considering the occurrence of crack effect seriously to the partial-interaction behavior.

  • 본 연구에서는 Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS)를 이용한 보 구조물의 변위 및 응력 추정에 대한 기법을 개발하였다. TLS는 Geographic Informatio Systems (GIS) 분야에서 처음 도입된 시스템으로, 레이저 펄스를 통해 원격으로 목적물의 3차원 좌표 정보를 획득 할 수 있는 시스템이다. 그러나 이러한 TLS로부터 획득한 대상물의 3차원 좌표 데이터는 10mm 내외의 오차를 포함하고 있다. 이에 건축 구조분야에 적용 가능한 변형 정보를 획득하기 위해서는 보다 정밀한 데이터 획득을 위한 데이터 처리 기법이 필요하다. 또한 구조물의 응력의 경우 획득된 형상 위의 각 지점의 곡률로 인해 발생하기 때문에 구조물의 변형 추정시 보다 미세한 오차에도 크게 영향을 받아 심한 왜곡을 가져오게 된다. 그러므로 응력 추정시 추가적인 데이터 처리 기법이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 보 구조물의 응력을 추정할 수 있는 기법을 제시한다.

  • 최근 신소재인 선진 복합 재료 중 탄소 섬유 강화 플라스틱(이하 CFRP라고 한다. )은 비강도, 비강성이 높기 때문에 경량화가 요구되는 여러 분야, 즉 항공기, 인공위성, 원자로, 자동차 산업분야, 조선 산업분야 등 널리 사용되고 있다. 경량화가 요구되는 분야에 사용되는 구조 부재의 형상은 평판보다는 다양한 형태의 곡면 형상을 뛰는 챌(Shell)의 형상을 갖는다. 또한 이러한 구조물에 충격이 가해 졌을 때 곡면을 갖는 구조물의 충격_응답 및 파괴형태는 평판과는 다른 양상을 보인다.(중략)

  • As fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) material is appled for a curved structure such as tunnel, FRP material must has a curved shape. Until now, the curved FRP material has been producted by hand-lay-up or filament winding work. It is impossible for mass production of the curved FRP material by these methods. Also, the quality of product by these methods is lower than that by pultrusion method. New pultrusion method and equipment had been developed for production of FRP material with steady curvature. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of freezing and thawing on adhesion of cement concrete with coarse-sand coated FRP in repair and reinforcement of cement-concrete structure using curved FRP material.

  • Membrane structures, a kind of lightweight soft structural system, are used for spatial structures. The design procedure of membrane structures are needed to do shape finding, stress-deformation analysis and cutting pattern generation, because the material property has strong axial stiffness, but little bending stiffness. The problem of cooing pattern is highly varied in their size, curvature and material stiffness. So, the approximation inherent in cutting pattern generation methods is quite different. Therefore the ordinary computer software of structural analysis & design is not suitable for membrane structures. In this study, we develop the program for cooing pattern generation using geodesic line, and investigate the result of example's cooing pattern in detail.

  • In this study, the equivalent physical properties of the shielded slot plate having a lot of very tiny bridge shape structures on its plane were determined by tensile tests and structural analyses. With those results, numerical analyses for the deflection profile by gravity effect were carried out to compare with experimental results. The two results were shown coincident very well so that the estimated equivalent physical properties were verified enough for further studies such as curvature reduction for the shielded slot plate.

  • This paper deals with the application of the numerical differentiation using the differential quadrature(DQ) in the curved member-like structural analysis. Derivative values of the geometry of structure are definitely needed for analyzing the structural behavior. For verifying the numerical differentiation using DQ, free vibration problems of arch are selected. Terms of curvature composed with the derivatives of arch geometry obtained herein are agreed quite well with exact values obtained explicitly. Natural frequencies subjected to terms of curvature obtained by DQ are agreed quite well with those in the literature. The numerical differentiation using DQ can be practically utilized in the structural analysis.

The Characteristics of Curvature Ductility Factor of Reinforced Concrete Hollow Section Beams (철근콘크리트 속빈 단면 보의 곡률연성지수 특성)

  • In highly elevated piers and long span beams, a hollow section is often used to reduce the self-weight and increase the flexural rigidity of members. Numerical analysis was conducted to obtain the moment-curvature curves and curvature ductility factor for the RC hollow section beams under a range of hollow portion sizes and reinforcement conditions in the upper flange and web. The curvature ductility factor was constantly maintained until the hollow portion size($b_i/b_o/h_i/h_o$) was less than or equal to 0.5. The curvature ductility factor decreased sharply if ($b_i/b_o/h_i/h_o$) was 0.7 or more. The curvature ductility factor of the beam decreased if reinforcement was provided in the web of the RC hollow section beam. To obtain the same level of the ductility factor as the singly reinforced section, the reinforcement should be provided in the upper flange as much as the web reinforcement.
