  • In this study, we analyzed the image of artificial intelligence recognized by elementary students using semantic differential scale. First, we extracted 23 pairs of image adjectives related to perception of artificial intelligence. Adjectives were classified into three types related to recognition, emotion and ability and 827 elementary students were examined. Image factors were classified into four factors: convenience, technological progress, human-friendliness, and concern. As a result, they showed a clear image that artificial intelligence is clever, new, and complex but exciting. In comparison with variables, female students, coding experience and older students thought that artificial intelligence was more human-friendly and technological progressive.

  • CS Unplugged education is emphasized as the component of the basic principles of Elementary SW education. This document produced by two other Timbell presents the contents in a variety of topics about computer science. One of the main components is the finite Automata, and this requires the development of educational materials for teaching our situation. So We'll present the finite Automata learning materials for elementary school classes. Learning model that we have presented is a process of self-directed and activity-based learning. For verification of this experiment was the validation of the expert group and was concluded that adequate through the analysis of the diagnostic tests.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of obesity and dietary self-efficacy scale and to identify factors that affect obesity in upper-grade elementary school students. Methods: A total of 458 fifth to sixth grade elementary school students in Seoul and Chuncheon city, and rural areas of Gangwon Province, were included in this study. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, and logistic regression. Results: The results revealed significant differences in the obesity region, perceived body image, experience of weight loss, family member of mother's age, mother's job and father's job between 'not obesity group' and 'obesity group'. The logistic regression analysis revealed that obesity was related with gender, region, and perceived body image. Conclusion: Gender, region, and perceived body image showed a relationship with obesity in upper-grade elementary school students. Thus, to develop obesity management program for upper grade elementary school students, we should be considered the gender, region, and perceived body image should be considered.

  • This study is for elementary school student's spatial ability improvement. We have to know their correct spatial ability for teaching it more effectively. And then we can organize about spatial ability one of schoolbook systematically and step by step. Therefore this study did survey elementary school student's spatial ability by grades and school score using newly developed spatial ability survey test. According to result, First, elementary school students spatial ability be developed gradually more 5th, 6th grades than 3th, 4th grades. Second, it was researched that high score student's spatial ability is better than score student lower student's. But the result was influenced by school's curriculum. The score of contents in school's curriculum higher than it's not. Synthetically, the suggestion is what the curriculum is changed. It need to input the contents of spatial abilities and more detailed study.

  • The purpose of this study is development of learning coaching program that is grafted onto advantage of Self-directed learning and coaching intended for Youth-After-School-Academy children and analysis the effect on self-efficacy and Self-directed learning ability from this program. The program of this study is developed on the base of Seels & Richey's 'ADDIE Model'. In order to verify the effect of this study, two times tests were carried out on 14 persons of the experimental group and the control group respectively, before and after the program was performed. The MANCOVA & ANCOVA was done on the difference between the post-test results of the experimental group and the control group. Findings of this study might be summarized as follows: First, the post-test result in the experimental group on self-efficacy was meaningfully higher than in the control group. Second, on Self-directed learning ability the result in the experimental group was also higher than in the control group. Therefore, learning coaching program impacted on self-efficacy and Self-directed learning ability of Youth-After-School-Academy children. This program that aim to discover the potential on learning, expect to be effective for children education of today when pursue Self-directed learning ability and creativity.

  • Purpose: This study was designed to examine the factors related to school adjustment of upper graders in elementary school. Methods: Data was collected through a questionnaire survey of 304 fifth and sixth grade students from October to November, 2014. The collected data was analyzed statistically through frequency, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis, using the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Results: First, subjective school record and subjective health status showed significant differences in school adjustment. Second, social support and ego-resilience were positively correlated, while bullying was negatively correlated with school adjustment. Third, significant factors related to school adjustment were social support, ego-resilience, subjective school record. These variables explained 56.4% of the students' school adjustment. Bullying was negatively correlated with school adjustment, but the correlation disappeared in the multiple regression analysis, where protective factors such as social support, ego-resilience were controlled for. Conclusion: School nurses should develop plans to enhance social support (teacher support, parents support, friends support) as well as programs to improve the ego-resilience of upper elementary students to help them adjust to school and to prevent and manage bullying. Also family, school and the community should be connected cooperatively with each other.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors predicting internet game addiction in higher grade elementary schoolers according to gender. Methods: The participants were 898 elementary school students who were in 5th and 6th grade. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire from October 1 to November 20 2012 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, $x^2$ test and logistic regression with the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Results: The prevalence rate of internet game addiction group was 8.8% (boys 7.1%, girls 1.7%). In terms of gender difference, it was found that girls' stress coping behaviors were more passive than male students (t=-3.27, p=.001). In boys, variables that predicted internet game addiction were aggressive coping, active coping, internet gaming hours per day and academic achievements. In girls, variables that predicted internet game addiction were aggressive coping, close friends and academic achievements. Conclusion: The findings from this study indicate there is a need to develop positive stress-coping behaviors programs and prevent internet game addiction in higher grade elementary school students.

  • Purpose: This study was designed to test and develop a structural model that explains health promotion behaviors of elementary school students in Korea. Method: Data were collected using questionnaires from 329 6th-grade elementary school students in a city. The data were analyzed using LISREL 8.0 program. Result: Health promoting behaviors were directly affected by some of predictive factors particularly self-efficacy, self-esteem, perceived health status, importance of health and internal locus of control. These predictive variables of health promotion behaviors explained 67% of the total variance in the model. Life satisfaction was directly affected by self-efficacy, health promotion behaviors, self-esteem, importance of health, internal locus of control and perceived health status. Powerful other locus of control was identified as an important variable that contributed indirectly to the improvement of life satisfaction through enhancing health promoting behaviors. These predictive variables of life satisfaction explained 46% of the total variance in the model. Conclusion: The derived model in this study is considered appropriate in predicting health promotion behaviors and life satisfaction in elementary school students in Korea. Also it can be used effectively as a reference model for further study, and it is suggest that this study be used to set the direction of health promoting education.
