The Fast Interlock Controller for High Power Pulse Modulator at PAL-XFEL (고전압 펄스 모듈레이터의 고속 인터록 제어)

  • PAL-XFEL 장치에 사용 할 고전압 펄스 모듈레이터 출력파워는 수 ${\mu}s$ 범위의 짧은 고전압(400 kV), 대전류(500 A) 펄스를 요구한다. 이러한 펄스파워를 얻기 위해서 PFN(Pulse Forming Network)에 에너지를 축적하고, 플라즈마 스위치인 싸이라트론을 통하여 에너지를 신속하게 클라이스트론 쪽으로 전달한다. 클라이스트론은 모듈레이터에서 공급하는 펄스 전원을 이용하여 RF를 증폭하는 대출력 고주파 증폭장치이다. 고전압 펄스 모듈레이터 제어기는 고속펄스 신호처리 모듈(Fast Pulse Signal Conditioning Module), PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)로 구성되어 있다. 고전압 펄스 모듈레이터에 사용하는 대용량 싸이라트론은 고전력을 스위칭 할 때 발생하는 스위칭 노이즈는 매우 크다. 이러한 노이즈는 모듈레이터의 출력 시그널인 빔 전압, 빔 전류, EOLC(End of Line Clipper) 전류, DC high voltage에 섞여 있으면서 신호 왜곡 및 제어장치의 고장을 유발시킨다. 이처럼 노이즈가 많이 포함되어 있는 아닐로그 신호를 깨끗한 신호(a clean signal)로 바꾸어주는 노이즈 필터링 장치인 고속펄스 신호처리 모듈을 제작하여 실험한 결과를 알아보고 모듈레이터 인터록 시스템인 PLC에서 Dynamic Interlock의 응답시간을 빠르게 하기위한 회로 수정에 대한 결과에 관하여 기술하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, the kernel regression model is applied for the case study of gas turbine abnormal state analysis. In addition to vibration analysis at the remote site, the kernel regression model technique can is useful for analyzing abnormal state of rotor vibration signals of gas turbine in power plant. In monitoring based on data-driven techniques correlated measurements, the fault free training data of shaft vibration obtained during normal operations of gas turbine are used to develop a empirical model based on auto-associative kernel regression. This data-driven model can be used to predict virtual measurements, which are compared with real-time data, generating residuals. Any faults in the system may cause statistically abnormal changes in these residuals and could be detected. As the result, the kernel regression model provides information that can distinguish anomalies such as sensor failure in a shaft vibration signal.

  • In general, FMECA is a technique for identifying failure modes and devices which could result in fatal outcomes. Also it can be used in design or in maintenance through establishing priorities. The purpose of this paper is aimed at improving the driving conditions in advance through analyzing the operation failure phenomena quantitatively with FMECA analysis on the onboard signal system equipped with ATC/ATO, and through deriving the risk factors. This paper suggests an alternative solution for improving the performance of ADU by analyzing a case with FMECA.

  • Precision parts and instruments are tested to evaluate performance in development-process and product-step to prement a potential defect due to a failure design. In this paper, Environmental test technology, which is the basis of reliability analysis, is introduced with examples of test criterion, test method for products, encoder and traffic signal controller, and measuring instruments. Recently, as the importance of the environmental test technology is recognised. It is proposed that tranining of test technician and technology of jig design and failure analysis are very essential.

  • The object of this study is to investigate the effect of joinability by using acoustic emission(AE) signals and doing a pattern recognition for weld heat affected zone(HAZ) in tensile testing. This study was carried out an SWS 490A high tension steel for electric shielded metal arc welding(SMAW), $CO_2$ gas arc welding and TIG welding. And correspondingly, the root openings are 3, 4 and 2.8mm. The results of the tensile test of weld HAZ come out electric shield arc welding $>\;CO_2$ gas arc welding > TIG welding in case of single welding. It is believed that this is a phenomenon where difference of its root opening or base metal thickness. Also, the technique of AE is ideally suited to study variables which control time and stress dependent fracture or damage process in metallic materials.

  • 본 논문에서는 해양분야에 적용 가능한 GPS(Global Positioning System) 코드, 반송파, 항법 메시지 감시 기법을 제안한다. GPS를 구성하고 있는 위성, 지상 제어국, 사용자부에 내재한 고장 요인들에 대하여 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 각 고장에 대응할 수 있는 검사기법들을 제시한다. 제시하는 검사기법은 DGPS 기준국에서 수행할 수 있는 검사 기법으로 신호 감시 기법(SQM, Signal Quality Monitoring), 데이터 감시 기법(DQM, Data Quality Monitoring), 측정치 감시 기법(MQM, Measurement Quality Monitoring)으로 구성된다. 해양 분야에 적용을 위하여 해양 분야에서 요구하는 GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System)에 대한 안전조건을 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 해양 분야에 사용가능한 감시 기법을 제시한다.

  • In this paper, we have developed a new fault detection method based on vibration signal for rotor machinery. Generally, many methods related to detection of rotor fault exist and more advanced methods are continuously developing past several years. However, there are some problems with existing methods. Oftentimes, the accuracy of fault detection is affected by vibration signal change due to change of operating environment since the diagnostic model for rotor machinery is built by the data obtained from the system. To settle a this problems, we build a rotor diagnostic model by using feature residual based on vibration signal. To prove the algorithm's performance, a comparison between proposed method and the most used method on the rotor machinery was conducted. The experimental results demonstrate that the new approach can enhance and keeps the accuracy of fault detection exactly although the algorithm was applied to various systems.

  • Transmission error (TE) is defined as "the angular difference between the ideal output shaft position and actual position". As TE is one of the major source of the noise and vibration of gears, it is originally studied with relation of the noise and vibration of the gears. However, recently, with the relation of mesh stiffness, TE has been studied for fault detection of spur gear sets. This paper presents a physics-based theory on fault diagnostics of a planetary gear using transmission error. After constructing the lumped parameter model using DAFUL, multi-body dynamics software, we developed a methodology to diagnose the faults of the planetary gear including phase calculation, signal processing. Using developed methodology, we could conclude that TE could be a good signal for fault diagnostics of a planetary gear.

  • This paper describes how to diagnose SBR plant equipment using time-series data mining. It shows the equipment diagnostics based upon vibration signals that are acquired front each device lot process control. Data transform techniques including two data preprocessing skills and data mining methods were employed in the data analysis. The proposed method is not only suitable for SBR equipment, but is also suitable for other Industrial devices. The experimental results performed on a lab-scale SBR plant show a good equip-ment-management performance.
