Structure of Integrated Adaptive Catenary Inspection System for Improved Safety (안전성 고도화를 위한 융합-가변형 전차선 검측시스템의 구조)

  • Almost all existing inspection methods for catenary system have relied on dedicated track inspection cars. Two factors make it necessary to modify the conventional method: First, the climate has become increasingly similar to that of a subtropical area. In addition, high speed trains have been developed that can run as fast as 450Km/h. This paper presents a visual catenary inspection system structure that incorporates roadbed information for high-speed running environments. Conventional catenary inspection systems determined the degree of wearing only for the trolley wire. The facility inspection system presented in this paper on the other hand utilizes visual and sound data of inspection targets and adjusts inspection frequency and sensitivity depending on the geographic data.

  • 전기철도차량에 전기를 공급하는 가공 전차선로 시스템은 커티너리(catenary) 방식과 강체가선 방식으로 구분 할 수 있으며 강체가선 방식은 DC 급전구간에서 주로 사용하고 있는 T-bar 시스템과 AC 급전구간에서 주로 사용하는 R-bar 시스템으로 구분 할 수 있다. 최근 국내환경에 적합한 고속용 R-bar 시스템의 개발을 진행하고 있으며 여기에 필요한 브래킷 지지 및 절연용 장간애자와 동상구분을 위한 절연구분장치 개발을 진행하고 있다. 따라서 국내에 수입하여 적용하고 있는 저속, 고속 R-bar 시스템용 장간애자 및 절연구분장치의 성능기준을 확인하고 개발에 필요한 성능기준을 검토 적용하여 고속 R-bar 시스템용 장간애자 및 절연구분장치 개발을 진행할 예정이다.

Prediction of Optimal Catenary Tension by Dynamic Characteristic Measurement and Dynamic Analysis of Pantograph in High-Speed Train (고속열차 팬터그래프 동특성 측정 및 동역학 해석을 통한 최적 전차선 장력 예측)

  • The contact force, which is the dynamic interaction between the pantograph and the catenary, is an important indicator for evaluating the current collecting quality, which is a stable power supply characteristic to the vehicle. In this study, dynamic contact force characteristics of pantograph of HEMU-430X vehicle, which is a power-distributed high-speed train test vehicle, were analyzed according to the catenary tension and compared with the analytical results using the pantograph-catenary interaction model. As a result of comparing the test results with the analytical results, it was confirmed that the average contact force and the standard deviation of the contact force, which are the main dynamic contact force characteristics, coincide relatively well. Using the analytical model, the relationship between the catenary tension and the contact force is presented according to the vehicle speed, and the optimal catenary tension for each operation speed is presented and compared with the international standard. As a result, it was found that the results obtained from the analysis are comparable to those recommended by international standards.

  • The operation speed improvement of the train in electric railway must pursue continuously and need the investigation of whole railway system whole. The high-speed of the train is related to not only vehicle technique but also the infrastructure, signal system, operation technique, the trolley line and catenary, economical efficiency. Specially, in case of electric railway, we have to consider a technical investigation which is current collection efficiency improvement, voltage drop countermeasure, equipment capacity, track force, signal system. In this paper, we presents the technical investigation of AT feeder system in order to achieve high speed train in exist real railroad. We proved this approach which will use the whole domestic lines in the future.

  • 본 논문은 고속선에서 전차선 귀선전류를 측정하여 UM71-C 궤도회로의 유지보수를 향상하고자한다. KTX 36호에 구축된 차상 검측시스템 중 귀선전류 검측시스템에서 레일 좌/우에 흐르는 전차선 귀선전류 및 레일 간의 귀선전류 차를 검측하여 불평형 상태를 비교 및 분석하였다. 이러한 결과는 궤도회로 설비들에 대한 구성요소의 기능저하를 사전 예측하여 열차의 안전운행을 확보하기 위한 자료로 활용하고, 또한 검측시스템에서 얻어진 데이터들과 비를 통해 향후 유지보수에 활용 가능한 지침 및 분석기준을 마련하고자 한다.

Development of a Pulley-type Tensioning Device (도르래식 장력조정장치 개발)

  • In the electrical railway, the increase of tensions in an overhead contact lines is essential to speed-up of train, because current collection quality largely depends on the ratio of a wave propagation speed to a train speed. For Kyungbu high-speed line, a pulley-type tensioning device is required to have a tension variation of maximum 3%. Therefore we developed a pulley-type tensioning device in order to meet tension variation requirement of the high-speed tensioning device. To verify the performance of the developed device, a performance test, overload test and failure test were carried out according to the factory test procedure of the Kyung-Bu High-speed line. Furthermore, we also performed reliability performance through not only a fatigue test in a factory, but also on-line verification test in Chungbuk line for over 1 year. These tests verified that the tensioning device had applicability to a main line.

  • The operation of KTX in Korea has launched since 2004, which brought about a great change in railroad industry. We have acquired lots of great know-hows, especially in railroad construction and operation field. Therefore, we have been building up numerous operation skills until now. However, it was necessary to investigate some of the equipment based on our own environment because the high speed train system were totally imported. In case of Toughened Glass Stem Insulator, it was totally new type in domestic. This paper introduces estimation method and result in three different field aspect, such as an electrical field, a physical field, and environmental circumstances. First, in case of an electrical field, amplitude and a number of time for switching surge voltage data were collected. Second, in case of a physical field, amplitude and trend of vibration in to the insulator were examined. Finally, in case of environmental circumstances, flying possibility of gravel and ice clod were investigated. Also shrink and expend characteristic according to temperature were reviewed. Through this basic data, suitability for Toughened Glass Stem Insulator using in domestic high speed railway have been accumulated and estimated.
