고속 축 이송을 이용한 타원 절삭가공 기술

  • 본 발표에서는, 3차원 형상의 피스톤을 모방절삭이 아닌 CNC절삭을 행하기 위해 고속 이송계의 개발 사례를 다루었다. 여기서 다양한 고속 이송계의 구축형태와 적용 가능한 핵심요소 부품들을 비교하여 고속 이송 시스템으로서의 장단점을 검토하였다. 또한 타원형상의 가공물을 고속으로 처리하기 위한 소프트웨어와 제어보드에 대해 자세히 설명하였다. 비대칭 원형 절삭가공을 위한 장치개발이 공작기계 설계의 축소판이다.

  • 본 발표에서는, 최근 고속 고정밀 이송계로 각광을 받고 있는 리니어 모터의 열특성 분석과 구동부 설계변경을 통한 첨단 이송계의 열변형 억제 및 최소화 기술에 대해 다루고 있다. 리니어 모터의 공작기계에 적용 시, 리니어 모터의 발열원과 열전달 경로 등을 분석하고 이에 대응한 냉각기법과 단열재의 배치에 따른 고성능 이송계의 열특성 개선 사례를 소개한다. 새로운 리니어 모터의 공작기계에 적용은 선택사항에서 필수사항으로 이동한다.

High Lead Ball Screw를 사용한 고속이송계의 특성 (The Characteristics of High Speed Feed Drive System using High Lean Screw)

  • The study on the high-speed machine tool is very important for the improvement of productivity since it can shortens cutting and non-cutting time. Especially, high speed of feed drive system is the major research field. In the industries of the advanced countries, the feed drive systems at the speed of 60 m/min have been already developed based on the high lead ball screws. In this study, a high speed feed drive system at the speed of 60 m/ min has been developed, and its movements characteris-tics are investigated. As the movement characteristics, positioning accuracy, angular accuracy, straightness and micro step-response are measured. Thermal characteristics of the system is also discussed. For measuring the movement characteris-tics, a laser interferometer, a memory-based Hi-coder and a cooling device are used. The experimental results confirm that the movement characteristics and the thermal behavior of the system are satisfactory in the aspect of accuracy and stability.

  • It can be acquired the high effective productivity through of high speed, precision of machine tools, and then, machine tools will be got a competitive power. Industrially advanced countries already developed that the high speed feed is 60m/min using the high speed ball screw. Also, a lot of problems have happened the feed drive system. It is necessary to study about the characteristics of thermal deformation played a more critical role than static stiffness and dynamic rigidity in controlling the level of machining accuracy. In spite of the improving the thermal deformation characteristics of machine tools at the design stage, there are always some residual errors that have to be compensated for during machining. In this study, thermal deformation error automated compensation device with multiple linear regression is proposed that thermal deformation error can be eliminated at the machining stage. The developed device has been practically applied to the feed drive unit.

고속이송계의 열변형오차 자동보정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Automatic Compensation of Thermal Deformation Error for High Speed Feeding System)

  • In the recent years, development of machine tool with high speed feeding system have brought a rapid increase in productivity. Practically, thermal deformation problem due to high speed is, however, become a large obstacle to realize high precision machining. In this study, therefore, the construction of automatic error compensation system to control thermal deformation in high speed feeding system with real time is proposed. To attain this purpose, high speed feeding system with feeding speed 60mm/min is developed and experimental equation for relationship between thermal deformation and temperature of ball screw shaft using multiple regression analysis is established. Furthermore, in order to analyze thermal deformation error, compensation coefficient is determined and thermal deformation experiments is carried out. From obtained results, it is confirmed that automatic error compensation system constructed in this study is able to control thermal deformation error within $15{\sim}20{\mu}m$.

  • 대부분의 가공기 혹은 측정기에 있어 이송테이블은 그 기능수행의 기본을 담당하고 있으며 이송테이블의 운동 정밀도와 고속화는 목표하는 정밀도와 생산성으로 직결된다. 종래에는 형상특성, 열변형 등의 계통 오차만을 오프라인(Off-line)으로 측정하고 소프트웨어적으로 보상하는 방법을 사용하였으나 초정밀 분야에서 요구되는 테이블의 운동정밀도는 기계적 강성한계를 넘는 정밀도이므로, 테이블 이송 시 발생하는 운동오차를 실시간으로 측정하고, 보상할 수 있는 온라인(On-line)개념의 능동형 보상이 필요하다. (중략)

  • A brushless linear motor is suitalbe fur a high-accuracy servo mechanism. It is also suitable for operation with higher speed and precision. Since it does not involve some sort of mechanical coupling, linear driving force can be applied directly. Basic models including magetomotive farce and electromotive forces are introduced and simplified. Both conventional PID and fuzzy controllers are implemented and performance results using those controllers are compared. Along with better simulated performance observed using fuzzy controller, further fabrication is to be included with various empirical results. Typical nonlinearities as friction, cogging and torque or thrust ripple that might deteriorate system performance would be tackled using presumably effective method such as neural network based learning controller.

  • Direct drive linear motors have large potential for use as high speed machine tool feed units since they can increase machining rates and improve servo accuracy by eliminating gear related machining problems. So, in this paper, characteristic of 2-axis linear motor feed unit are studied and control gain are adjusted considering positioning, velocity, acceleration and static stiffness. We confirm linear motor feed unit are affected value of control gain sensitively, because drive directly. From the experiment, this feed unit has l${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ micro step resolution, 5.7${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ positioning accuracy and under 60${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ circularity.

고속 이송계의 통합설계 (Integrated Design of High-speed Feed Drive Systems)

  • High-speed feed drive systems have been widely used in the manufacturing and semiconductor industries. Specifications for high-speed systems require more advanced capabilities than conventional feed drive systems. It is necessary to devise special design concepts to achieve the level of performance for high-speed feed drive systems. In this paper, an integrated design method is proposed for high-speed feed drive systems in which the interactions between mechanical and electrical subsystems ought to be considered simultaneously during the design process. Based on the integrated design method, a nonlinear optimal design procedure of mechanical subsystems considering the Abbe and radius errors is accomplished through the design process of electrical subsystems satisfying the control stability and the saturation condition of actuators as well as the relative stability. Both mechanical and electrical parameters are considered as design variables. Simulations and numerical case studies show that the integrated design method of high-speed feed drive systems creates results satisfying the desired performances of mechatronic systems.
