Comparison of DC/AC breakdown characteristics of polymer sheets for polymer insulator (실리콘 베이스와 첨가제 함량에 따른 폴리머애자용 고분자의 DC/AC 절연파괴 특성 연구)

  • 전 세계적으로 전력사용량의 증가와 전력기술이 발전함에 따라 절연소재 또한 급속한 발전을 가져왔다. 특히 폴리머 애자는 경량성, 내오염성, 시공의 용이성 등과 같은 장점으로 오랫동안 사용해온 자기 애자를 대체하여 사용되고 있다. 최근 고효율 장거리 전력 송전이 가능한 HVDC 송전선로가 증가함에 따라 직류 절연물에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 두 종류의 실리콘 베이스와 첨가제 함량을 변화시킨 폴리머 시편의 직류 파괴전압 실험과 교류 파괴전압 실험을 실시하였다. 취득한 데이터를 Weibull 분포를 통해 분석 한 결과 직류 파괴전압이 교류 파괴전압에 비해 2~5배 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • Recently polymer insulators are being used for outdoor high voltage applications. Polymer insulators for transmission line have significant advantages over porcelain and glass insulators, especially for ultra-high voltage(UHV) transmission lines. In this paper, the design trend and method polymer insulator are investigated and Aging test method is analysed to know life time of insulator.

  • In order to check the electric field distribution of polymer line post insulator, we performed electric field simulation according to state of water drops. Sea water is used to the contaminant. Electric field analysis is performed with change of contact angle, number and distance of water drops.

  • Polymer stem insulator for an electric railway has been developed in 1995 in Korea. Owing to its excellent electrical and physical characteristics, KT mark was awarded for the developed polymer stem insulator. After new specification of KNR(Korea National Railway) was established, tile evaluation of long-term reliability combined with the improvement of manufacturing process was carried out. In 1998, this polymer stem insulator was installed in commercial electrical railway line. This paper presents the long-term reliability properties of the installed polymer stem insulator compared with conventional insulator. The location of tile installed polymer stem insulator in KNR is also introduced.

  • 전력수요의 지속적 증가에 따라 송전설비의 추가적인 건설은 불가피하지만 토지구입비 증대 및 님비현상 등에 따른 토지구입난 등의 건설여건의 악화에 따라 보다 더 최적화 된 송전철탑의 도입이 요구되고 있다. 고분자소재 및 성형기술의 발달로 금속의 기계적 강도를 능가하는 절연성능을 가진 고분자 복합재료의 제작이 가능하게 되면서 큰 기계적 강도가 요구되는 철탑의 암(arm)을 고강도 FRP(Fiber glass Reinforced Plastics)를 적용한 암 절연물(braced post insulator)로 대체하려는 시도가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 기존의 철탑에서 도체를 지지하고 고전압이 인가된 도체의 공간적 절연 유지를 위하여 사용되던 무거운 금속 암과 애자련 대신 중심부분을 전기적 특성과 내환경성이 우수한 암 절연물을 사용한 154kV급 철탑 설계 방법과 컴팩트화 방법에 대해 제시하고자 한다.

  • This paper introduces the data processing method and the measurement of the leakage current flowing through polymer insulators. For ageing diagnosis of polymer insulator, data aquisition system was developed to record the leakage current of insulator being tested. Hence, we have gained information for life time from its leakage current. the DAS is protected against over-voltage which would develop in the event of a flashover of the test sample.

  • Recent investigations have been made on polymer Insulators of various types. The findings are related to experience on operational lines in foreign countries, design concepts, materials and tests about outdoor properties. Over last decade improvements have been occured in the design and construction techniques of polymer insulators. For transmission and distribution lines, it may be advantageous or even necessary to replace, the conventional porcelain or tempered glass insulators by lighter polymer insulators which have better mechanical properties.

  • The extensive use of composite insulators for transmission lines can ultimately be justified only on long-term qualification tests. The actual load working on the insulator in the field is not static load but cyclic load. So in this paper, we discussed an examination of aging degradation by mechanical performance of composite insulators under static tension load and cyclic tension load. and also described useful approaches for analyzing their long term performance so as to develop reliable composite insulators. The static and cyclic tension load-time test data were examined by Weibull distribution for their capability of presuming long term performance. It was found that cyclic tension loads were more severe than static tension loads. The results also indicate that it may be relevant for an user to select composite insulators on basis of their performance under cyclic tension loads than static tension loads.

  • The construction or enlargement of the power facilities requires the compactness of them, and the development of power system amenities because of some reasons; the shortness of a site for power facilities, social request of the harmony of them with surroundings, and so on. For the insulator in this area, the research and development of polymer or composite insulator or its applications have been increased rapidly in some advanced countries, but the activities of our country are being in a weak step although our concern has been gradually enlarged about it in recent years. Thus, in this paper, we intend to introduce the trend of research and development of it in the inside and outside of the country.

  • Polymeric suspended insulators for subway and electrical track line had been designed and manufactured. The main elements to design polymeric insulators were the insulation ability and the optimal structure. To get the insulation ability, electrical and mechanical tests according to standards had done on housing rubbers and FRP cores and selected the sample with best properties as a insulator. The insulator shape and fitting parts with minimum electrical stress was simulated by FEM electrical field analysis program. The manufactured insulator set had been tested and estimated the electrical and mechanical according to ES and KS, and showed good characteristics in these tests.
