Stated Preference Analysis of the Impacts of Bus Crowdedness Information on Bus Choice (선호의식 조사를 통한 버스 차내 혼잡도 정보제공이 버스선택에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • The study proposed a new type of bus information, Real-time Bus Crowdedness (RBC) information, to meet various demands of users and improve the convenience level of using public transportation, while existing bus information provided by bus information systems(BIS) were limited to bus operating information such as predicted bus arrival time. To analyze the impacts of providing the proposed RBC information, stated preference(SP) survey was performed and a methodology of disaggregate analysis (e.g., binary logit) was applied to develop passenger choice models. Additionally, passenger choice models incorporating the heterogeneity of different user groups(i.e., by age or trip purposes) were developed to evaluate the different responses on RBC information. The results showed that providing RBC information was significantly related to users' bus choices and the responses of user groups were significantly different, especially the age group of more then 60 was most affected by the RBC information on their bus choices. Also trip purposes were significantly related to users' bus choices, for instance the impacts of providing RBC information was bigger for non-business trips(leisure/meet friend/personal business, shopping, hospital) compared to business trip.

Service Scenario Development for Customized Evacuation Route Guidance Service in Regular Building (일반건물 맞춤형 대피동선 안내 서비스를 위한 서비스 시나리오 개발 사례연구)

  • The final goal of this study was to develop an optimal service scenario to ensure that building occupants can be effectively evacuated from the building within the golden time without extra assistance in preparing and evacuating for fires. In addition, the research was carried out by dividing the current services into fire evacuation and preparedness phases by applying the Double Diamond process in order to find a way to better familiar them as a lifestyle and to always be prepared for fires. For the building occupants and managers, a total of 14 ideas were first suggested, including not only the services of how to evacuate from a fire, but also the life-style service functions associated with fire implementation technology in daily life. The 14 proposed ideas were conducted by the Service quality evaluation and Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP) from the perspective of the service recipient, and those were finally prioritized from the service provider's perspective, taking into account the cost and practicality of the service provider. The results of this study show that differences in the importance of fire phases considered by stakeholders and the perception of fire generally vary considerably.

  • Depending on the launch of the emotional generation, many researches developing the automobile preference color which reflects the preference color of the consumers are advanced. This study investigate preferred colors and emotional image of the car color reflecting the product design and consuming psychology. According to surveyed ages and gender, there are eight categories (women/20 's, 30 "s, 40 's, and 50 's and men/20 's, 30 "s, 40 's, and 50 's) based on the 30 persons. Preferred color is black, white, sky blue, purple, pink, and orange order. If black, white and gray are excluded, remained in the order of blue, yellow, and purple. There are big deferences on preference color when emotional preference color of cars is showed or not. Practically, the preference color is following in sensitivity. However the car image is recognized actually with conservativeness, they hesitates selection of the bright chromatic color car.

  • This study considered the factor of the adoption of the satellite DMB. This study focus on the TV audience's demographic traits and media usage. The results are follows : 1) the elder-aged group, high-educated group and car driver group have high intention to be subscriber for the satellite DMB service. 2) the white collar group and the middle income group have high intention to be subscriber for the satellite DMB service. 3) the many media use group and the many function use of mobile phone group have high intention to be subscriber for the satellite DMB service. 4) the local TV audience like the entertainment genre in video and audio service and the information genre in data service 5) the local TV audience don't mind of the re-transmission territorial broadcasting by the satellite DMB service.

A Survey on Practices and Attitude toward Wedding Food among Housewives in Busan and Kyungnam Area (부산.경남지역 주부들의 혼례음식 관행과 태도에 관한 조사)

  • This study is to describe practices of and attitude toward traditional wedding food and the attitude of housewives toward the traditional wedding food in Busan metropolitan and Kyungnam province area. Data were analyzed from the convenient sample of 525 housewives collected from September 20 to September 28, 2001. As for the necessity of traditional wedding food, the most popular food was ebagee food, pebaek food, yedan food in order. Of the various kinds of traditional wedding food, table setting for parent-in-law was chosen as the most popular one. Sociodemographic characteristics such as education level and age were statistically associated with perception of traditional wedding food being necessary as a ritual thing. The respondents preferred rice cakes as wedding food to fishes, fruits, traditional sweets and skewered slices of seasoned meats. More than half of the respondents think current practices of wedding food is prodigal and has to be done in thrifty manner. As a ritual practices of wedding food were to be readjusted to the change of social custom depending on the degree of modernization. More than half (52.1%) of the housewives expected traditional wedding food should fade away. A conclusion was that it is necessary to develop modernized wedding food reflecting traditional wedding customs with economic costs.

Distributed data deduplication technique using similarity based clustering and multi-layer bloom filter (SDS 환경의 유사도 기반 클러스터링 및 다중 계층 블룸필터를 활용한 분산 중복제거 기법)

  • A software defined storage (SDS) is being deployed in cloud environment to allow multiple users to virtualize physical servers, but a solution for optimizing space efficiency with limited physical resources is needed. In the conventional data deduplication system, it is difficult to deduplicate redundant data uploaded to distributed storages. In this paper, we propose a distributed deduplication method using similarity-based clustering and multi-layer bloom filter. Rabin hash is applied to determine the degree of similarity between virtual machine servers and cluster similar virtual machines. Therefore, it improves the performance compared to deduplication efficiency for individual storage nodes. In addition, a multi-layer bloom filter incorporated into the deduplication process to shorten processing time by reducing the number of the false positives. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves the deduplication ratio by 9% compared to deduplication method using IP address based clusters without any difference in processing time.

Social Anxiety in Korean Society (한국 사회의 사회적 불안에 관한 연구)

  • The purposes of this study were to find 1) the realities of social anxiety and perception of various kinds of social problems that exists in Korean society as well as the perception on the events that causes the social anxiety, 2) to see the difference of perceived level of social anxiety through variables of social demography and difference of perception on Korean society. The sample was distributed according to population size distinguishing the nation to 6 regions. The data of 1,375 adult respondents were analysed. The results are as follows. First of all, respondents mentioned that the most immediate problem to be solved in Korean society was financial anxiety, and the most desirable state of society was when the society is financially stabled. Single question was measured about social anxiety of Korean society and scored 6.84 from full marks of 10, showing difference in variables for instance sex, age, and subjective S.E.S. where women, aged under 20, and perceived low class group showed the highest rate of social anxiety. However, there weren't any difference found in social anxiety of the variables like presence of religion, educational background, residence, and monthly average household income. Also, there were differences in level of social anxiety according to the difference of perception of Korean society. Higher the perceived unpredictability, uncontrollability, and unmovability to the upper class, unfairness, and uncertainty, unreliability of the Korean society, higher the social anxiety. And the lower the perceived chance of success of reformation, higher the social anxiety. It was also found that the perceived social anxiety is influenced by social accidents and phenomenon as unemployment, economic depression, and the gap between rich and poor as well as the increase of crime through effluence of personal information. Finally the limitations and implications of this study were discussed.

  • Hitel 과 같은 전자정보 시스템은 사용자가 원하는 정보를 체계적으로 얻을 수 있도록 하기 위하여 메뉴들을 적당히 계층적으로 구성하여 제공하고 있다. 그러나, 보통 이 메뉴들의 계층이 정확한 분류법에 기초하여 만들어지지 않았을 뿐 아니라 그 양도 엄청나게 방대하여, 이 메뉴 계층을 이용하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 얻기가 쉽지 않다. 실험적으로 보통 Hitel을 자주 이용하는 사람들도 자신이 주로 이용하는 메뉴들의 구성만 이해하고 있을뿐, 사용하지 않는 부분의 메뉴들의 구성은 잘 알지 못하는 것이 일반적이었다. 따라서 Hitel을 자주 이용하는 사용자도 자신이 이용해 보지 않은 정보를 얻기 쉽지 않으며, 더더욱 초보자에게는 이 메뉴계층을 이용하여 원하는 정보를 얻기가 쉽지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 정보검색 기술을 이용하여 Hitel과 같은 전자정보 시스템에서 사용자가 쉽게 자신이 원하는 정보를 얻을 수 있는 보조 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 본 시스템은 사용자가 메뉴계층을 이용하기 전에 간략한 자연어로 입력을 주면, 여기에 적합한 메뉴나 실제 정보를 검색해 낸다. 따라서 사용자는 이 메뉴정보를 이용하여 메뉴계층을 쉽게 따라갈 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 경우에 따라서는 원하는 실제 정보를 검색하기 때문에 메뉴계층을 탐색할 필요가 없다. 본 연구에서는 자연어 입력을 최장 일치 방법으로 의미있는 명사들을 추출하여 불리한 질의어로 만든 후, 명사들 사이의 관계가 표현된 시소러스를 이용하여 이 질의어를 확장시킨다. 다음에 이 질의어들을 메뉴들과 부분/정확부합을 통하여 관련된 메뉴들을 찾아낸 후, 이들의 계층과제를 고려하여 최종 메뉴들을 검색한다. 본 시스템은 현재 C언어로 만들어져 구동중이며, 정확한 실험은 아직 하지 않았지만 높은 검색율을 보이고 있다. industrialized, was improved by introducing pressure in cooling procedure for both carbon and iron thermistors.er>$CHCl_3$>Hexane층 순으로 높은 활성을 나타냈다. 5. 아질산염소거능은 끝순, 들깨잎, 콩나물이 우수하였고 그중 들깨잎이 저해율 72%로 가장 높았으며, 용매분획 중에는 BuOH과 water추출물의 활성이 가장 높았다. 6.   • This paper is to analyze citizens' consciousness on urban changes, especially focusing on changes in urban environment, spatial structure, and urban planning, of large cities in S. Korea, that is, Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu, and Kwangju in the 1990s. Some significant points can be described as follows. First. The most important factor influencing on the change of urban spatial structure was the expansion of residential area inner and outside of cities promoted by the traditional construction industry, and not development of high-tech industries and their complex or location of multi-national firms which can be emphasized as major factors of new urbanization process of global cities. Secondly, citizens seem to have experienced improvement and deterioration of urban environment simultaneously, emphasizing regulatory environmental policy on the one hand, and recognize the necessity of sustainable urban development within given environmental capacity and restoration of destructed and polluted environment of cities. Thirdly, the building boom of new apartment complex was a major driving force of changing urban spatial structure, but it could neither alleviate a residential gap between the poor and the rich areas nor a relief of traffic congestion. Finally, the urban policy in general was felt somewhat improved by citizens, but not in sectoral details.

An Estimation of Willingness to Pay for Advanced Public Transportation Services Using SP (선호의식 조사를 활용한 첨단 대중교통 서비스의 지불의사액 추정)

  • In the coming ubiquitous society, the importance of developing advanced public transportation systems (APTS) corresponding to individuals' needs and useful in their daily life is profound. In these regards, the study proposed new APTS services: Free internet access service and On-board real time traffic information service in public modes. A stated preference (SP) survey was performed to investigate individual's preference and willingness-to-pay (WTP) for the proposed APTS services. Multinomial logit models (MNL) incorporating the heterogeneity of respondents were developed to analyze individuals' preference and the difference of WTP. Some results of the study showed that the respondents' preferences were significantly different by in-vehicle travel times (30 min, 60 min) and their socioeconomic background. More respondents prefer new APTS services when invehicle travel time takes longer. For the housewife and self-employed group, the mean WTP for on-board realtime traffic information was higher than that of free internet access services, while for the company employees and students group, the mean WTP was similar in both services.
