A Study on the Development of Multi-Purpose Measurement System for the Evaluation of Ship Dynamic Motion (선체운동 평가를 위한 다목적 계측시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In order to evaluate the safety of navigation at sea and the safety of mooring on berthing, it is necessary that the wave and wind induced ship dynamic motion should be measured in real time domain for the validity of theoretical evaluation method such as sea-keeping performance and safety of mooring. In this paper, the basic design of sensors is discussed and some system configurations were shown. The developed system mainly consists of 4 kinds of sensors such as three-dimensional accelerator, two-dimensional tilt sensor, azimuth sensor and two displacement sensors. Using this measuring system, it can be obtained the 6 degrees of freedom of ship dynamic motions at sea and on berthing such as rolling, pitching, yawing, swaying, heaving, surging under the certain external forces.

  • In order to evaluate the safety of navigation at sea and the safety of mooring on berthing, it is necessary that the wave and wind induced ship dynamic motion should be measured in real time domain for the validity of theoretical evaluation method sum as sea-keeping performance and safety of mooring. In this paper, the basic design of sensors is discussed and some system configurations were shown. Structure Analysis and Scale Model Test for Strength Performance Evaluation of Submersible Mooring Pulley Installed on Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (부유식 해상풍력발전기용 반잠수식 계류 풀리의 강도 성능평가를 위한 구조해석과 축소 모형시험)

  • Recently, the destructive power of typhoons is continuously increasing owing to global warming. In a situation where the installation of floating wind turbines is increasing worldwide, concerns about the huge loss and collapse of floating offshore wind turbines owing to strong typhoons are deepening. A new type of disconnectable mooring system must be developed for the safe operation of floating offshore wind turbines. A new submersible mooring pulley considered in this study is devised to more easily attach or detach the floating of shore wind turbine with mooring lines compared with other disconnectable mooring apparatuses. To investigate the structural safety of the initial design of submersible mooring pulley that can be applied to an 8MW-class floating type offshore wind turbine, scale-down structural models were developed using a 3-D printer and structural tests were performed on the models. For the structural tests of the scale-down models, tensile specimens of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene material that was used in the 3-D printing were prepared, and the material properties were evaluated by conducting the tensile tests. The finite element analysis (FEA) of submersible mooring pulley was performed by applying the material properties obtained from the tensile tests and the same load and boundary conditions as in the scale-down model structural tests. Through the FEA, the structural weak parts on the submersible mooring pulley were reviewed. The structural model tests were conducted considering the main load conditions of submersible mooring pulley, and the FEA and test results were compared for the locations that exceeded the maximum tensile stress of the material. The results of the FEA and structural model tests indicated that the connection structure of the body and the wheel was weak in operating conditions and that of the body and the chain stopper was weak in mooring conditions. The results of this study enabled to experimentally verify the structural safety of the initial design of submersible mooring pulley. The study results can be usefully used to improve the structural strength of submersible mooring pulley in a detailed design stage.

  • 육상에서 발생한 부유쓰레기는 하천을 통해 해상으로 유입되어 선박 프로펠러 파손, 항로 점유 등 선박 운항 안정성에 지대한 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 육상 기인 부유쓰레기의 해양 확산을 방지하고 나아가 선박 운항 안정성 확보를 위한 차단막과 차단막의 부유쓰레기 차단 성능 확보를 위한 플랫폼 및 계류, 앵커시스템 개발을 연구 목표로 한다. 본 구조물의 우선 설치 대상 해역은 가덕도 남동부 해안으로, 우천시 혹은 태풍 내습시 육상에서 발생하는 많은 해양쓰레기의 확산이 이루어지는 지역이다. 대상 해역의 환경하중 조건에서 플랫폼이 정상기능을 수행하도록 수치해석 기법을 기반으로 플랫폼 및 계류, 앵커시스템을 설계하고 설계 기준 적합성을 평가하였다.

  • 최근 우리나라에서는 새로운 항만설계 혹은 변경 등을 함에 있어 해상교통안전진단을 우선적으로 실시하여 해상교통의 안전을 도모하고 있다. 이 해상교통안전진단은 자연환경 및 해상교통조사, 선박조종시뮬레이션, 해상교통류 시뮬레이션, 계류안전성, 그리고 안전대책 등으로 구성되어 있다. 그 중 선박조종과 관련된 선박조종시뮬레이션이 아주 중요하다. 이것은 해당 항만에서 선박 조종을 담당하는 도선사 혹은 선장들에게 직접적인 관련이 있기 때문이다. 선박조종시뮬레이션에서 근접도 평가는 항로 혹은 접이안 조선의 안전도를 평가하는 중요한 요소이다. 그러나 근접도 평가는 시뮬레이션의 횟수를 얼마 이상으로 할 때 제대로 된 평가를 할 수 있는가 하는 점은 밝혀져 있지 않다. 중심극한정리에 따르면 30회 이상이면 표본 집단은 정규분포를

Sliding Mode Control with Super-Twisting Algorithm for Surge Oscillation of Mooring Vessel System (슈퍼트위스팅 슬라이딩모드를 이용한 선박계류시스템의 동적제어)

  • This paper deals with controlling surge oscillations of a mooring vessel system under large external disturbances such as wind, waves and currents. A control synthesis based on Sliding Mode Control (SMC) with a Super-Twisting Algorithm (STA) has been applied to suppress nonlinear surge oscillations of a two-point mooring system. Despite the advantages of robustness against parameter uncertainties and disturbances for SMC, chattering is the main drawback for implementing sliding mode controllers. First-order SMC shows convergence within the desired level of accuracy, in which chattering is the main obstacle related to the destructive phenomenon. Alternatively, STA completely eliminates chattering phenomenon with high accuracy even for large disturbances. SMC based on STA is an effective tool for the motion control of a nonlinear mooring system because it avoids the chattering problems of a first-order sliding mode controller. In addition, the error trajectories of controlled mooring systems implemented by means of STA form in the bounded region. Finally, the control gain effect of STA can be observed in sliding surface and position trajectory errors.

선박 접이안용 계선주 성능 평가에 관한 연구

  • 계선주는 선박이 접안 중 안전성을 확보하는 설비로서 계류안전성 평가에 필수 설비 중 하나이다. 이러한 계선주는 국내 항만 및 어항설계 기준의 견인력에 따라 규격이 구분되어 설치되나 규격별 성능 확인을 위한 평가 방법이 제시되지 않아 평가 방법 검토가 필요하다. 이 연구에서는 견인력에 따라 설치되는 계선주 규격별 제원을 분석하여 재질과 특성에 따라 견인력에 따라 작용하는 수평력과 수직력을 휨 응력과 전단 응력으로 나누어 분석하고 이에 따른 성능 적정성을 평가하고 살제 허용 견인력을 평가 하고자 하였다. 또한 계선주 설치 후 노후화로 인한 성능 변경을 평가하고 예측하고자 두께를 통한 평가 방안을 검토하고자 하였다.

선석 수심 기준에 대한 고찰

  • 우리나라의 "항만 및 어항 설계기준·해설"에서는 항로의 수심과 선석의 수심에 대한 기준을 정하고 있다. 다만 항로의 수심과 선석의 수심은 기준이 비슷하나 그 값이 다르다. 여기에 선석 수심에 대해서 홀수대비 선석수심비와 실제 우리나라 항만의 선석 수심을 비교하여 문제점을 제시하였다. 제시된 문제점을 토대로 향후 항해 및 계류안전성을 위한 수심 관련해서 종합적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on the Proper Crown Height of GT 100,000Ton Cruise ship and DWT 100,000Ton Container ship (10만톤급 크루즈선과 컨테이너선의 적정 마루높이에 관한 연구)

  • The increase of risk in port due to the increase in ship size and sea level rises, the standard crown height will increase. In this study, cruise and container ships will need to raise their crown height due to the projected wind pressure areas becoming larger due to the ships' size increase. The mooring assessment was evaluated with the rise of the crown height. The cruise ship of GT 100,000 tons exceeded the permissible breaking force of the mooring line under the crown height conditions of wind speed of 30 kts when the wind direction was $45^{\circ}$ to the direction of the bow. Also, the elevation angle of the pier and mooring line was analyzed and exceeded the crown height, and it was determined that it is necessary to adjust the crown height. Container ships of DWT 100,000 tons were analyzed to exceed the limit of sway motion at the crown height and it was determined that they need to be adjusted to the minimum crown height standard.
