Experimental Study on the Early Strength Development Mechanism of Cement Paste Using Hardening Accelerator and High-Early-Strength Cement (경화촉진제와 조강시멘트를 사용한 시멘트 페이스트의 조기강도 발현 메커니즘에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of study is to analyze mechanism with early high portland cement and hardening accelerator. As the result, it was concluded that hardening accelerator makes accelerates appearance of $Ca(OH)_2$ through experiment using TG-DTA when it hydrates with cement. On the result of compressive strength, as increasing the amount of hardening accelerator used, early compressive strength was improved. Also, as a result of hydration heat, hardening accelerator accelerates hydration of $C_3S$ that is cement's component. On the result of XRD's analyzation, hydration product for each age could be check and it was shown that as increasing the amount of hardening accelerator used, peak point of hydration product was recorded high. As the result of SEM, appearance of C-S-H was shown as the amount of $Ca(OH)_2$'s appearance and each age according to additive contents of hardening accelerator. Therefore hardening accelerator used on this study is effective on getting early compressive strength.

  • 경화촉진제로서 염화칼슘, 경화억제제로서 수크로오즈를 처리한 포트렌트시멘트의 양생효과를 전자현미경에 의해 관찰한 결과, 경화억제제를 처리한 시멘트는 결정을 이루지 못하고 융기상태로 남아있고, 경화촉진제를 처리한 시멘트는 겔형으로 변한후 육각형의 결정을 이루는 것이 관찰되었다. 또한 시멘트-목재 복합체의 양생은 좀 다른 양상을 보이고있어 경화제가 처리된 WCC는 포플러 스리버 표면에서 작은 융기가 겔상의 표면에 많이 관찰되나 무처리는 거의 일정한 모양의 입자가 관찰되어 시멘트 경화촉진제와 억제제의 효과를 구명하였다.

  • 에폭시/산무수물계의 등온 경화거동을 새로이 제작된 Torsion Pendulum(TP)으로 다양한 온도에서 조사하였으며 경화반응을 촉진시키기 위하여 두 종류의 경화촉진제를 사용하였다. 새로이 제작된 TP는 개인용 컴퓨터를 이용하여 모든 기계\ulcorner인 작동과 date 수집 및 분석이 자동으로 처리될 수 있도록 하였다. 이 기기로부터 얻어진 결과인 경화 동안의 상대전단강성율(RSR, relative shear rigidity)과 log decrement(LD)의 변화로부터 제작된 TP가 잘 작동한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 두 종류의 촉진제가 전체적인 경화과정에 미치는 촉진효과는 비슷하였으나 각 촉진제로부터 얻어진 LD 곡선을 보면 서로 다른 모양을 나타내었다. 이것은 경화촉진제가 반응 촉진효과 이외에도 경화거동에 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미하며, 따라서 이러한 경화거동의 차이는 경화물의 성질에 영향을 줄 수 있다.

Fundamental Study on the Strength Development of Cement Paste using Hardening Accelerator and High-Early-Strength Cement (경화촉진제와 조강시멘트를 사용한 시멘트 페이스트의 강도발현에 대한 기초적 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to verify the performance of hardening accelerator in cement paste through mechanical performance evaluation and micro structure analysis on hardening accelerator for development of super high early strength concrete. The research results showed that hardening accelerator produced $Ca(OH)_2$ when hydrated with cement, enhancing the degree of saturation of Ca ion by using differential thermal analysis. Moreover, porosity was reduced rapidly as capillary pores were filled by hydration products of $C_3S$. According to the experiment using hydration measurement testing, when 1% and 3% of accelerator were mixed, hydration rate increased toward the second peak point compared to high early strength cement, before the first peak point disappeared. It turned out that adding accelerator accelerated the hydration rate of cement, especially $C_3S$. The shape of C-S-H is shown depending on the amounts of accelerator added and the production and age of $Ca(OH)_2$ by using SEM to observes hydration products. Therefore, it's evident that hardening accelerator used in this research increases amounts of $Ca(OH)_2$ and accelerates $C_3S$, it is effective for the strength development on early age.

Temperature-time Profile during Epoxy Cure in a Mold (Mold내의 에폭시 수지 경화시 시간에 따른 내부 온도의 변화)

  • 본 연구에서는 에폭시/산무수물계에 경화촉진제를 첨가한 시료를 몰드(mold)내에서 등온 경화시킬 때 시료 내부의 온도변화를 측정하여 얻어진 온도-시간 곡선(temperature-time profile)을 조사하였다. 실험에 사용한 경화촉진제의 종류는 1-cyanoethy1-2-ethy1-4-methy1 imidazole(1E4MZ-CN), N,N-dimethy1 benzy1 amine(BDMA), 2,4,6-tris(dimethy1-aminomethy1)-phenol(DMP-30)이며 그들의 농도(c)는 1.0,1.5,2.0,2.5,phr그리고 경화온도(T$_{cure}$ )는 65,70,85,95$^{\circ}C$로 하였다. 경화가 진행되는 동안 시료내부의 온도는 초기에 경화온도로 상승한 후 본격적인 경화 반응이 일어나기 시작하여 온도가 급격히 상승하였다가 다시 감소하는 양상을 보였다. 온도-시간 곡선상에 나타나는 온도가 최고로 상승되는 시점(t$_{peak}$ )과 그 때의 온도(T$_{peak}$ )는 촉진제의 종류와 농도 그리고 경화온도에 의하여 영향을 받았다. 사용한 경화촉진제중에 DMP-30이 가장 짧은 t$^{peak}$ 값을 가져 가장 우수한 촉진 효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, T$_{peak}$ 는 촉진제의 농도와 경화온도가 증가할수록 상승하였다. 그리고 경화촉진제의 농도와 경화온도의 변화에 따른 t$_{peak}$ 과 T$_{peak}$ 의 변화를 보면 촉진제 농도와 경화온도가 낮을 때 그 변화가 민감하여 2E4MZ-CN 이 가장 민감한 촉진제로 나타났으며 또한 T$_{peak}$ 에 영향을 주는 여러가지 요소들을 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과로부터 자세히 살펴보았다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of combinations of different accelerators mixed on the early age strength development of concrete of 21 to 27MPa in the curing temperature of $10^{\circ}C$ compared with existing early strength agent. The present study was assessed the early strength development of combinations of three different accelerating admixtures with early strength type agent comparing to single accelerating admixture with early strength type agent. As a result of this study, the effect of $CaBr_2+NaSCN+DEA$ combination on strength development showed better than $CaBr_2$ or NaSCN alone with early strength type agent. Therefore, we observed that concrete using $CaBr_2+NaSCN+DEA$ combination with early strength agent was achieved 5MPa 12hours earlier than use of $CaBr_2$ or NaSCN alone.

  • The Aluminum conductor composite core consists of fast-curing thermosetting epoxy used as reinforcements and carbon fiber and glass fiber used as matrix. In this study, we have investigated fast curing epoxy cured products used for composite core(Aluminum Conductor Composite Core, ACCC). Tetrafunctional epoxy(PA 806) was used as a multifunctional epoxy, along with two kinds of curing agents, MNAn(5-Methyl-5-norbornene-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride) and HHPA(Hexahydrophthalic Anhydride), to make an epoxy cured product and their properties were evaluated. Optimum conditions are confirmed by varying the content of curing accelerator in the selected epoxy and curing agent.

Effect of Hardening Accelerators on the Adiabatic Temperature property Properties of Precast Concrete and FEM analysis for Evaluating the Crack Performance (경화촉진제를 사용한 프리캐스트 콘크리트의 단열온도특성 및 FEM해석에 의한 균열성능 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, initial crack index was evaluated by FEM analysis to find the crack propagation from hydration heat in precast concrete. As results, as the usage of hardening accelerator increased, initial compressive strength increased and setting time was shortened. Additionally, as amounts of hardening accelerators increased, the central temperature of concrete increased and the time to reach the highest temperature was shortened. It was demonstrated that the hardening accelerators accelerated the hydration reaction of cement, and caused the increase of hydration heat within the short period of time. Furthermore, the crack index for evaluating the heat level was performed by FEM. As results, there was no problem about the cracks, despite of the growth of initial high hydration heat. This is because of the increased tensile strength that is large enough to sustain the thermally induced-stress.

A Study on Expansion and Strength Characteristics of Material for Emergency Restoration in Ground Cavity (지반공동 긴급복구 재료의 팽창 및 강도특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the expansion and compressive strength tests of emergency restoration material were carried out to restore cavity causing ground subsidence. The expansion and compressive strength characteristics according to component ratio of main material - hardener and mix proportion of blowing agent - accelerator were analyzed based on the test results. As a result of the relationship of curing time - expansion ratio analyses, it confirmed that expansion ratio decreased with reduced curing time regardless of mix proportion of blowing agent - accelerator in main material, if component ratio of hardener increased. This means that component ratio of the main material - hardener had greatly affected the expansion ratio. The compressive strength characteristics of emergency restoration material confirmed that strength was affected by mix proportion of blowing agent - accelerator. Therefore, it is necessary to apply reasonable component ratio and mix proportion to consider the required injection time, expansion ratio and strength of restoration material, when emergency restoration in ground cavity is required.

Fire Resistance Assessment of Precast Duct Slab with Fireproof using Hardening Accelerator (경화촉진제를 사용한 내화재 일체형 프리캐스트 슬래브의 화재저항성능 평가)

  • Precast concrete is an effective method to increase the construction quality and construction speed by optimizing and making the manufacturing conditions similar. In order to more effectively produce a fireproof material-integrated precast duct slab, the purpose of this study was to determine whether the fire resistance performance of the fireproof layer is maintained when a method of increasing the curing rate using a hardening accelerator is used. As a result of performing a fire resistance performance test on specimens classified according to whether or not the hardening accelerator was included, increase of temperature inside the specimen was high in the specimens using the hardening accelerator, and the section loss of the fireproof layer occurred locally on the surface exposed to fire heating. In conclusion, it is judged that the fireproof layer in the case where the strength at 3th day of age is gained within 1 day curing age using a hardening accelerator does not guarantee sufficient fire resistance performance in the conditions used in this study.
