The multivariate empirical distribution function could be defined when its distribution function can be estimated. It is known that bivariate empirical distribution functions could be visualized by using Step plot and Quantile plot. In this paper, the multivariate empirical distribution plot is proposed to represent the multivariate empirical distribution function on the unit square. Based on many kinds of empirical distribution plots corresponding to various multivariate normal distributions and other specific distributions, it is found that the empirical distribution plot also depends sensitively on its distribution function and correlation coefficients. Hence, we could suggest five goodness-of-fit test statistics. These critical values are obtained by Monte Carlo simulation. We explore that these critical values are not much different from those in text books. Therefore, we may conclude that the proposed test statistics in this work would be used with known critical values with ease.

The multivaiate empirical distribution function (MEDF) is defined in this work. The MEDF's expectation and variance are derived and we have shown the MEDF converges to its real distribution function. Based on random samples from bivariate standard normal distribution with various correlation coefficients, we also obtain MEDFs and propose two kinds of graphical methods to visualize MEDFs on two dimensional plane. One is represented with at most n stairs with similar arguments as the step function, and the other is described with at most n curves which look like bivariate quantile vector. Even though these two descriptive methods could be expressed with three dimensional space, two dimensional representation is obtained with ease and it is enough to explain characteristics of bivariate distribution functions. Hence, it is possible to visualize trivariate empirical distribution functions with three dimensional quantile vectors. With bivariate and four variate illustrative examples, the proposed MEDFs descriptive plots are obtained and explored.

The purpose of this study was to observe dental anxiety of second grade elementary school children projected in the drawing of dental treatment situation. The subjects of study were 213 school children. Questionnaire survey was done regarding their experience of pain and fear during the dental treatment and children's attitude toward the dental treatment and dentist. Drawings were analyzed using criteria modified from Dental Anxiety Scale(DAS) by Sheskin et al. The mean anxiety score was 2.00 and the range was from 0 to 6. The mean anxiety score was 2.82 in untreated children and 1.92 in treated children (P<0.05). The mean anxiety score was 2.00 in boys and 1.99 in girls. The rates of children who showed severe fear and pain of the subjects were 8.2% and 5.6%. The rates of children who showed slightly or definitely negative attitude for dental treatment and dentists of the subjects were 19.9% and 4.6%.
The study is about how the difference in education levels can affect the subjects' use of color and find out the features of the effect. This experimental study focused on the differences in color expression using the outline picture of a painting before and after being exposed to a full-color picture of the original painting. Differences between two conditions with two different stimuli were observed and the cause of the differences was analyzed based on the number of colors and the quantity of colors and composition of the colors used by the subjects. The study precedes an experiment based on how the level of education though experience can affect the use of colors. This study is focused on the various effects of color usage by children and adults who have various degrees of visual experience. In addition, the study analyzes how design majored subject differed in the use of color from non-design majored subject and compares the use of colors by the two groups. The results showed that design majored subject tended to use less coloring patterns after seeing the stimulus of the Monet picture with more colors, and included the colors from the stimuli they were exposed to. The non-design majored subject who viewed the Mondrian painting demonstrated opposite results by using less number of colors than before seeing the stimuli. In comparison to design majored subject, the variations in selected colors and the quantity of color by non-design majored subject were not consistent.

The present study investigates the behaviour of overtopping flows falling on the leeside of a caisson breakwater with dissipating blocks through laboratory measurements. The falling overtopping flows in the leeside are expected to directly affect the leeside stability of the breakwater. This study focuses on not the resultant stability but the characteristic pattern of the overtopping flows depending on wave conditions through examining front velocity and plunging distance in the leeside. Regular waves were used to investigate the dependence of the overtopping flow pattern on wave conditions and a modified image velocimetry combining the shadowgraphy and cross-correlation method was employed for measurements of image and velocity. From the measurements, it is shown that the plunging distance and front velocity of the overtopping flow in the breakwater leeside increase as the wave period or height increases. From non-dimensional relationships between the variables, empirical formula for the velocity and overtopping distance are suggested.
The time honoured tuning fork at present widely available for examining vibration sensation is brought about the problem of great interobserver variation. To resolve t his problem, author developed a divice using electric magnet that stimulates constantly tuning fork. The perception time of vibration from tunung fork by this device was tested on the index finger of dominant hand of twenty eight subjects. It was 12.44 seconds on average and ranged from 9.47 to 17.25. Coefficient of variation of it was 16.89 percent. Correlation coefficient between test and retest after 30 minutes was 0.957(p<0.01). This device is portable. Test procedure in non-invasive, non-aversive and simple, can be performed within one minute, and does not require the skilled technician. It is felt that this device testing vibration perception time is suitable as screening tool for early detection of occupational peripheral neuropathy.

Language intervention through cooking activity programs is designed to provide an efficient teaching method and improved educational environment in the field of teaching. This program addresses the effects of this program on the language development of three three-year-old infants (M;2, F;1) in the Center in Seoul. A cooking topic suitable for the age of this group was selected. The language Intervention was conducted for 50 minutes per week for a total of 25 times, and made use of vocabulary, verbs and nouns related to cooking which were evenly distributed. In this study, the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test-Revised (PPVT-R), receptive language age (RLA) and expressive language age (ELA), and Preschool Receptive-Expressive Language Scale (PRES) were used to analyze the collected data. After the study, the cooking activity was accomplished with normal development outcomes appearing in the ability of vocabulary, receptive language, expressive language, and integrated language. There is now a solid evidence base supporting the efficacy of cooking activity in producing positive outcomes in the language development of language delayed infants. Consequently, cooking can induce their active participation and interest and extend their language abilities through various experiences.
Japanese government college researchers, including Sekino Tadashi(關野貞), have conducted research studies and collected data, on overall Korean cultural relics as well as Silla tumuli(新羅古墳) in the early modern times under the Japanese imperialistic rule. They were supported by the Meichi government in the early stage of research, by the Chosun government-general, and by their related organizations after Korea was coIonialized to carry out investigations on Korean antiquities, fine arts, architecture, anthropology, folklore, and so on. The objective for which they prosecuted inquiries into Korean cultural relics, including Silla tumuli, may be attributed to the purport to find out such data as needed for the theoretical foundation to justify their colonialization of Korea. Such a reason often showed locally biased or distorted views. Investigations and surveys had been incessantly carried out by those Japanese scholars who took a keen interest in Korean tumuli and excavated relics since 1886. 'Korea Architecture Survey Reports' conducted in 1904 by Sekino in Korea gives a brief introduction of the contents of Korean tumuli, including the Five Royal Mausoleums(五陵). And in 1906 Imanishi Ryu(今西龍) launched for the first time an excavation survey on Buksan Tumulus(北山古墳) in Sogeumgangsan(小金剛山) and on 'Namchong(南塚)' in Hwangnam-dong, which greatly contributed to the foundation of a basic understanding of Wooden chamber tombs with stone mound(積石木槨墳) and stone chambers with tunnel entrance(橫穴式石室墳). The ground plan and cross section of stone chambers made in 1909 at his excavation survey of seokchimchong(石枕塚) by Yazui Seiyichi(谷井第一) who majored in architecture made a drawing in excavation surveys for the first time in Korea, in which numerical expressions are sharply distinguished from the previous sketched ones. And even in the following excavation surveys this kind of drawing continued. Imanishi and Yazui elucidated that wooden chambers with stone mound chronologically differs from the stone chambers with tunnel entrance on the basis of the results of surveys of the locational characteristics of Silla tumuli, the forms and size of tomb entrance, excavated relics, and so forth. The government-general put in force 'the Historic Spots and Relics Preservation Rules' and 'the Historic Spots Survey Council Regulations' in 1916, establishing 'Historic Spots Survey Council and Museum Conference. When museums initiated their activities, they exhibited those relics excavated from tumuli and conducted surveys of relics with the permission of the Chosun government-general. A gold crown tomb(金冠塚) was excavated and surveyed in 1921 and a seobong tomb(瑞鳳塚) in 1927. Concomitantly with this large size wooden chamber tombs with stone mound attracted strong public attention. Furthermore, a variety of surveys of spots throughout the country were carried out but publication of tumuli had not yet been realized. Recently some researchers's endeavors led to publish unpublished reports. However, the reason why reports of such significant tumuli as seobong tomb had not yet been published may be ascribed to the critical point in those days. The Gyeongju Tumuli Distribution Chart made by Nomori Ken(野守健) on the basis of the land register in the late 1920s seems of much significance in that it specifies the size and locations of 155 tumuli and shows the overall shape of tumuli groups within the city, as used in today's distribution chart. In the 1930s Arimitsu Kyoichi(有光敎一) and Saito Tadashi(齋藤忠) identified through excavation surveys of many wooden chamber tombs with stone mound and stone chambers with tunnel entrance, that there were several forms of tombs in a tomb system. In particular, his excavation survey experience of those wooden chamber tombs with stone mound which were exposed in complicated and overlapped forms show features more developed than that of preceding excavation surveys and reports publication, and so on. The result of having reviewed the contents of many historic spots surveyed at that time. Therefore this reexamination is considered to be a significant project in arranging the history of archaeology in Korea.
