Comparative Study on Ride Comfort and Optimum Horizontal Curve Conditions for Superimposition of Vertical and Horizontal Curve (종곡선/평면곡선 경합여부에 따른 최적평면선형조건 및 승차감 비교 분석)

  • Superimposition of horizontal and vertical curves may hamper the ride comfort and running stability of train and largely affect the maintenance costs. However, in many cases, it is not easy to make a track alignment plan because of the geographic conditions or undesirable environmental factors. In this paper, a comparative study on the effect of superimposition of vertical and horizontal curve on the ride comfort and optimum horizontal curve conditions was performed. That is, optimal cant and ride comfort analysis with and without a vertical curve superimposed on the horizontal curve were evaluated. Also the superimposition effect on ride comfort and alignment conditions in high speed zone were evaluated. From the analysis results, it was found that the ride comfort is similar to that at the only horizontal curves when applying the compensation cant for the superimposed site.

  • 메시지전달 프로그램에서 가장 먼저 발생하는 경합인 최초경합은 다른 경합에 영향을 주므로 반드시 탐지되어야 한다. 기존의 최초경합 탐지기법은 첫 번째 수행에서 각 프로세스에서 처음으로 발생하는 경합의 위치를 탐지하고, 두 번째 수행에서는 그 위치에서 해당 프로세스를 정지하여 경합하는 메시지를 보고한다. 그러나 이 기법은 프로세스를 중단하여 다른 경합에 영향을 주는 메시지의 전송을 단절시키므로 탐지된 경합들간의 영향관계를 알 수 없게 한다. 본 논문에서는 기존 기법의 두 번째 수행이 종료될 때까지 각 프로세스에서 처음으로 발생하는 경합들간의 영향관계를 추적화일에 기록하며, 수행이 종료된 후에 이 정보를 이용하여 경합들간의 영향관계와 상호 영향을 미치는 경합들을 추상적으로 시각화하는 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 경합들의 집합을 추상적으로나 구체적으로 시각화함으로써 경합들간의 영향관계를 확장적이고 직관적으로 알수 있게 한다. 따라서 본 기법은 최초경합을 수정함으로써 영향 받은 경합들을 사라지게 한 수 있으므로 메시지전달 프로그램의 효과적인 디버깅을 가능하게 한다.

Specificity in Weed Competition and Herbicide Response of Soybean under Foggy Condition (인공안개처리에 따른 콩의 잡초경합 양상 및 제초제반응 특이성)

  • Greenhouse experiment was carried out to investigate the specifics in growth, weed competition, and herbicide response of soybean(Glycine max) under foggy condition. Plant height and leaf stage of soybean under foggy condition were greatly increased through all growing stage comparing with non-foggy condition. At 100 days after seeding, plant height of soybean also was increased by 14% while number of pods, number of grains per pod were reduced by 16, 24 and 23%, respectively comparing with non-foggy condition. On the other hand, plant height of soybean under foggy condition was reduced with increasing the duration of competition and this tendency was similar to non-foggy condition. Plant height was reduced by above 50-day competition. Number of pods per plant of soybean was reduced regardless of foggy condition. Among the herbicides treated, quizalofop caused slightly crop injury under foggy condition, but the other herbicides did not affect growth of soybean. Number of pods and 100-grain weight of soybean by treatment of herbicides were similar to that of the untreated control but those of soybean under foggy condition were significantly reduced. At 40 days after herbicide application, weeding efficacy (based on shoot fresh weight) of herbicides treated under foggy and non-foggy condition, released exellent data(above than 97%) in all regardless foggy condition.

  • 열차는 타 교통수단에 비하여 정시성과 안전성이 우수하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 열차의 정시성을 유지하는데 있어서 열차 경합에 대한 대응은 매우 중요한 용소이다. 열차 경합은 열차와 열차간의 충돌로 정의된다. 이러한 열차의 경합은 두 열차의 각 역에서의 도착 및 출발시각을 변경함으로써 해결할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 전문가 시스템 및 제약조건 만족 기법을 이용하여 열차 경합을 해소하는 알고리즘을 제시한다.

  • 리스트 기반 스케줄링은 하드웨어의 자원이 일정한 수준으로 제한된 상황에서 스케줄링에 필요한 컨트롤 스텝의 수를 최소화하고자 하는데 중점을 둔 일련의 스케줄링 기법 중 하나로, 연산의 우선 순위를 결정한 뒤, 그 우선 순위에 의거하여 준비된 일단의 연산들에 대한 스케줄링을 수행하는 방식이다. 따라서 연산의 우선 순위를 결정하는데 고려되는 조건들은 리스트 기반 스케줄링의 성능에 직접적인 영향을 주며, 현재까지 다양한 우선 순위 결정 조건들이 제시되어 있다. 그런데, 최종 합성 결과는 상위 수준 합성의 대상이 되는 입력 그래프의 특성에 따라 그 성능이 좌우되므로 일반적인 의미에서 최적의 우선 순위 결정 조건이란 존재하지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 단일한 우선 순위 조건하에서 경합하는 연산들의 우선 순위 결정 조건이란 존재하지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 단일한 우선 순위 조건하에서 경합하는 연산들의 우선 순위 결정시 다양한 우선 순위 결정 조건들을 균형있게 고려하여 보다 효율적인 스케줄링 결과를 얻는 방법을 제시하였다.

  • The objectives of the present study were to find out the differences in growth and weed competition of rice under the foggy and non-foggy condition, and finally, the fundamental data for the establishment of the paddy weed control system under the locational foggy regions. The research was carried out on tin trays ($0.12m^2$) in greenhouse equipped with an Auto Foggy System(SAE KI RTN Co.). The results are summarized as follows: Exp. I. Difference in rice growth under the foggy and non-foggy condition. 1. While the plant height was not affected, the number of tillers was decreased by the foggy condition. The ratio of the number of effective tiller, however, became higher under the foggy condition. 2. Due to the fog present, the heading rate was decreased and heading time was delayed. 3. The foggy condition did not affect the dry weight of rice straw whether they were grown under the foggy or non-foggy condition. However, yield components such as the number of ears, the number of grains per ear, thousand kernel weight and percentage of ripeness were reduced. Particularly, weights of perfect brown and unpolished rice were also decreased. Exp. II. Effect of the duration of competition between weed and rice grown under the foggy condition on the growth of rice plant. 1. There was no difference in the height of rice grown under a different duration of competition. There was a clear tendency that the number of tillers of rice grown under the foggy condition was decreased as the duration of competition was decreased. 2. When the duration of competition was longer than 60 days, the heading rate was decreased and the initiation of heading was also delayed by 2-4 days. 3. Under the foggy condition, the duration of competition for more than 40 days affected dry weight of rice straw and the difference in yield was greatest in the non-competition and competition for more than 40 days.

  • Race conditions, races in short, need to be detected for debugging parallel programs, because the races result in unintended non-deterministic executions. To detect the races in an execution of program, previous techniques use a centralized data structure which may incur serious bottleneck in generating concurrency information, or show inefficient time complexity which depends on the degree of nested parallelism in comparing any two of them. We propose a new labeling scheme in this paper, which is scalable in generating the concurrency information without bottleneck by using private data structure, and improves time complexity into constant in checking concurrency. The scalability and time efficiency therfore makes on-the-fly race detection efficient not only for programs with either shared-memory or message-passing, but also for programs with mixed model of the two.

  • Greenhouse studies were carried out to find the difference of growth, weed competition and herbicides response in barley(Hordeum vulgare L. emend Larnark) under foggy and non-foggy condition. Plant height, leaf stage, leaf width and shoot fresh weight of barley under foggy condition were greatly increased, while heading rate ripening rate and number of grains per panicle of barley were reduced. Weed emergence based on fresh weight was much greater under foggy than that under non-foggy condition. Plant height of barley under foggy condition was increased comparing with non-foggy condition and significantly reduced with increasing the duration of weed competition, while 1,000-grain weight of barley reduced by the early competition(0∼20 days). Among the herbicides treated, butachlor and thiobencarb inhibited growth of barley under foggy than non-foggy condition. Plant height of barley treated of herbicides under foggy condition was ever increased but 1,000-grain weight of barley was reduced. Weeding efficacy(75-90%) by shoot fresh weight of weeds under foggy condition at 25 days after application was lower 3 to 15% than that under non-foggy condition.

  • In railway construction, superimposition of horizontal and vertical curves has critical effects on the running stability and the ride comfort of vehicles as well as on construction costs. In this study, running safety, ride comfort, and track acting forces were analyzed by a numerical analysis using the VAMPIRE program according to cases of superimposition of vertical and horizontal curves. From the analysis results, it was found that running safety, riding comfort, and track acting forces in the case of superimposition of vertical and horizontal curves as well as vertical and transition curves meet all of the criteria. Also, in the case of the superimposition of vertical curves and curvature change between horizontal transition curves and circular curves meet all of the criteria.

  • Detecting unaffected race conditions is important to debugging message-passing programs effectively, because such a message race can affect other races to occur or not. The previous technique to detect efficiently unaffected races detects racing messages by halting at the receive event of the first race to occur in each process. However this technique does not guarantee that all of the detected races are unaffected, because halting such processes does disconnect some chain of affects-relations among those races. In this paper, we present a novel technique that manages the state of the detected race by examining if every received message is affected until the execution terminates. Our technique therefore guarantees to detect efficiently the unaffected races, because it maintains affects-relations of the races all along the execution of program.
