  • 건축물 화재에서의 피난대책은 Passive 대책과 Active 대책으로 대별될 수 있다. Passive 대책은 수동적이고 소극적인 개념으로 공간적 구조체인 특성에 따라 건축법규에서 규율하고 있는데 반하여, Active 대책은 능동적이고 적극적인 개념의 설비적인 측면에 따라 소방법규에서 규율하고 있다. 따라서 양 법규간 피난기준이 상호 대체적 기능보다는 소방법규에서의 보완적 기능이 보다 더 강하다. 본 연구는 피난기준이 건축법규와 소방법규로 이원화되고 관련설비에 대한 설치기준이 관계법규에 혼재됨에 따라 양 법규간의 상호기능보다는 기준적용의 혼선, 기준간 충돌 등의 문제점을 도출하고 효율적이고 합리적인 피난기준 적용을 위한 대책방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 조류충돌(Bird Strike)은 경제적 손실, 인명적 피해를 야기하여 공군의 항공작전을 제한하는 위협요소이다. 현 공군에서는 조수퇴치조(Bird Alert Team)의 경보 발령에 의존하거나 조류의 행동을 연구하는 등 인적 역량에 의존하는 시스템을 채택하고 있다. 본 연구는 CNN을 이용하여 활주로의 유해조류를 인식 및 분류하는 자동화 시스템에 대한 제안이다. 웹캠을 활용한 실시간 유해조류를 인식하는 연구를 통해 향후 운항관제대와의 연계, 지향성 조류퇴치 장비와의 연동 방안을 제시하여 공군의 조수퇴치조(Bird Alert Team)에 대한 자동화를 실현하고 공군에서 추진중인 스마트 비행단에 이바지하고자 한다.

  • Hydrazine, which is used as a representative monopropellant, is an extremely poisonous substance and has a disadvantage that it is harmful to the human body and is very difficult to handle. In recent years, research on the development of non-toxic and environmentally friendly propellants has attracted much attention. Ammonium dinitramide(ADN) based propellant developed by Swedish Space Corporation has superior performance to hydrazine and has been commercialized through performance verification in space environment. On the other hand, the exhaust gas from a thruster nozzle collides with a satellite while it is spreading in the vacuum space, thermal load and surface contamination may occur and may reduce the performance and lifetime of the satellite. However, a study on the effect of the exhaust gas of the green propellant thruster on the satellite has not been conducted in earnest yet. Therefore, the exhaust gas behavior in space was analyzed in this study for the ADN based green monopropellant using Navier-Stokes equations and the DSMC method. As a result, it can be expected to be used as design validation data in the development of satellite when using the ADN based green monopropellant.

  • Some rotorcraft fuel tanks are required to be self-sealing and crashworthy for enhancing the survivability of crews. Self-sealing capability prevents the fuel leakage through contacting fuel with self-sealing material when the tank wall is penetrated by projectiles such as bullets. US army established MIL-DTL-27422D which specifies the detail requirements related to gunfire resistant fuel tank especially for military rotorcraft. The Fuel tanks for Korea Helicopter Program have been developed in accordance with MIL-DTL-27422D. The Self-sealing capability of the fuel tanks has been confirmed by the gunfire resistance test which specified on the MIL-DTL-27422D.

Geochemical characteristics of Ogcheon granite in Ogcheon area (옥천화강암의 지구화학적 특성)

  • The area of the study is located in Ogcheon district, middle part of Ogcheon Fold Belt. The area is covered by metasedimentary rocks of Ogcheon Supergroup at northern, eastern and southern part. Jurassic Ogcheon granite which intruded into Ogcheon Supergroup at central part, was intruded by Cretaceous quartz porphyry at western part. The granite consists of quartz, plagioclase, alkali feldspar, biotite, sphene, apatite, epidote, opaque and so on. It is generally characterized by grey to light grey, medium-grained, mafic enclave and partly weak foliation. In terms of geochmical compositions, the granite is felsic, peraluminous, subalkaline and calc-alkaline, and it was differentiated from single granitic magma. It shows parallel LREE enrichment and HREE depletion patterns with 0.84 Eu negative anomaly, which has REE variation trend and anomaly value similar to Jurassic granites in Korea. From charactristics of petrology, mineralogy and geochmistry, it may be interpreted that the Ogcheon granite body was derived from melting of I-type crustal material related to syn-collisional tectonic setting and emplaced more or less rapidly into the Ogcheon Supergroup.

  • Originating from the Oort cloud, some comets disappear to impact against the Sun or to split up by strong gravitational force. Then they don't go back to the Oort cloud. They are called sungrazing comets. The comets are detected by sublimation of ices and ejection of gas and dust through solar heat close to the Sun. There exists the charge transfer from heavy ions in the solar wind to neutral atoms in the cometary atmosphere by interaction with the solar wind. Cometary atoms would be excited to high electronic levels and their do-excitation would result in X-ray emission, or it would be scattering of solar X-ray emission by very small cometary grains. We calculated the X-ray emission applying the model suggested by Mendis & Flammer (1984) and Cravens (1997). In our estimation, the sungrazing comet whose nucleus size is about 1 km in radius might be detectable within a distance of 3 solar radius from the sun on soft X-ray solar camera.

  • Visibility of the satellite navigation is related to a environmental condition of a receiver. Obstacles like buildings and trees in urban areas can block signals and have effects on accuracy and reliability of positioning. This paper presents a method of creating 3D analysis model of urban canyon of Seoul using three-Dimensional digital map. Analysis techniques of visible satellites with Ray-Polygon Collision Detection and validation of algorithm through field tests are discussed. We have compared and analyzed the visibility of GPS and Galileo with respect to separate and simultaneous tracking in view of DOP (Dilution of Precision) using the 3D GIS digital map.

  • Since, in case of high energy piping, steam jets ejected from the rupture zone may cause damage to nearby structure, it is necessary to design it into consideration of nuclear power plant design. For the existing nuclear power plants, the ANSI / ANS 58.2 technical standard for high-energy pipe rupture was used. However, the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC) and academia recently have pointed out the non-conservativeness of existing high energy pipe fracture evaluation methods. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a highly reliable evaluation methodology to evaluate the behavior of steam jet ejected during high energy pipe rupture and the effect of steam jet on peripheral devices and structures. In this study, we develop a method for analyzing the impact load of a jet by high energy pipe rupture, and plan to carry out an experiment to verify the evaluation methodology. In this paper, the basic data required for the design of the jet impact load experiment equipment under construction, 1) the load change according to the jet distance, 2) the load change according to the jet collision angle, 3) the load variation according to structure diameter, and 4) the load variation depending on the jet impact position, are numerically obtained using the developed steam jet analysis technique.

  • With the fast growing popularity of small UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), recent UAV systems have been designed and utilized for the various field with their own specific purposes. UAVs are opening up many new opportunities in the fields of electronics, sensors, camera, and software for pilots. Increase in awareness and mission capabilities of UAVs are driving innovations and new applications driven with the help of low cost and its capability in undertaking high threat task. In particular, small unmanned aerial vehicles should fly in environments with high probability of unexpected sudden change or obstacle appearance in low altitude situations. In this paper, current researches regarding techniques of autonomous flight of smal UAV systems are introduced and we propose a draft idea for planning paths for small unmanned aerial vehicles in adversarial environments to arrive at the given target safely with low cost sensors.

  • In IEEE 802.11e system providing differentiated services, there exist some problems as follows; collision probability increase due to the increase in the number of nodes by employing CSMA/CA transmission mode, transmission speed declining tendency towards the worst of it, which is caused by different transmission mode and decrease of TCP transmission rate as the result of the link occupancy by UDP when TCP shares the link with UDP by the TCP’s flow control characteristic. In this thesis, the initial minimum and maximum CW are set differently according to the number of connected nodes in the network to avoid collisions and TXOP is adjusted according to the channel state, in which ACs with low priority but better channel state will get gradually more chances to transmit leading to optimal channel capacity. Also, by allowing higher priority for ACK frames which control the TCP transmission, the flow control becomes better because that reduces the channel occupancy by UDP flow, and by this, fair transmission is obtained from the result of the more fair transmission and active resource allocation.
