This essay traces the origin and the social function of medieval knights in Edwin Austin Abbey's murals ${\ll}$The Quest of the Holy Grail${\gg}$ in the Boston Public Library. Medieval knights in the Arthurian legend appeared in American novels at the end of 1850s and in political cartoons in the 1870s. They are featured in American Renaissance murals as well. ${\ll}$The Quest of the Holy Grail${\gg}$ painted in 1895 was the first of its kind. In Britain, the Pre-Raphaelites frequently painted medieval knights. Abbey fused the visual idiom of the Pre-Raphaelites and that of the Royal Academy of Arts in his depiction of knights. Unlike the Pre-Raphaelites, who usually focused on knights' activities, he emphasized their virtue. His representation of knights reflect the social and economic crises in America in the 1890s. After the Civil War, American society enjoyed economic prosperity but suffered from government corruption, economic inequality, and class conflict. Serious social problems such as poverty and inequality decayed American society. Writers and artists brought attention to these issues. This essay argues that Abbey criticized capitalists and expressed his hope for progress through the figure of Galahad as the iconic representation of civic virtue in ${\ll}$The Quest of the Holy Grail${\gg}$. Installed in the Boston Public Library, Abbey's murals performed a public function to warn the viewers of economic and social chaos resulting from government corruption. Abbey's American knights not only emphasized moral responsibility but also promoted patriotism. The artist refashioned medieval knights into American citizens, whose civic virtue became essential to an ideal leader in American society.

Southern Louisiana has one of the largest Vitnamese refrgee neighborhoods after the mid-1970s. It is impressive that one of their adaptive strategies comes from their religious lives which are centered on either Catholicism or Buddhism. The Buddhism community, especially, exhibits an exotic symbolic system of value and attitude, and thus contributes to cultural diversity in the adopted country. The landscape of the Buddhist temple is a visible symbol to them that the host socirty accepts their maintenance of their own cultural identity and that they are also an integral part of American society. Their making-place and being-in-place procedures, although their culture is being transformed in the original shape, put an emphasis on interaction with the host xociety. These procedures have been facilitated by consolidating their identity as a minority group as well as by interacting with the host society. The on-going influx of foreign immigrant groups seems not to drive them to assimilate into the melting-pot society, but to contribute to contribute to the increase in the cultural diversity of the United States.

건축문화창달의 구심체로서 건축계 발전과 공익에 이바지하고 건축사 회원의 권익옹호 및 업무개선에 앞장서 온 대한건축사협회는 36년의 오랜 역사가 말해주듯 7천7백여 회원과 산하 16개 시도건축사회와 84개 지역건축사회로 구성된 조직력을 갖춘 전문자역사단체로 당당히 자리매김했다. 그러나 국내 여타 전문자격사단체들과 마찬가지로 지난 경제성장기 동안 제도의 틀 안에서 안정을 누려온 협회에 대해 그 기능과 역할을 재정비해야 한다는 건축계 안팎의 목소리가 점차 높아지고 있으며, 회원들의 요구 또한 적극적이며 다양해지고 있다. 여기에다 장기간 계속된 건축경기의 침체는 건축사사무소들의 경영상태를 크게 악화시켜 회비 수입에만 의존해온 협회의 재정상태를 어렵게 하므로써 향후 협회재정 자립의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 더욱이 최근 정부의 규제개혁정책에 의해 설계도서신고제가 폐지되는 등 회원들의 의무규정이 상당부분 완화되었으며 또한 임의단체로의 전환과 함께 회원가입이 자유화됨에 따라 협회로서는 회원 결속력 강화와 자생력 확보라는 두 과제를 시급히 해결해야만 하는 상황에 직면해 있다. 특히 WTO에 의한 건축서비스시장 개방이 가속화되고, 이러한 무한경쟁시대에 대비해 정부가 각종 규제완화 정책들을 지속적으로 추진하는 등 앞날에 적지 않은 변화가 불어닥칠 것으로 예상됨에 따라 우리 건축사의 이익과 주장을 대변하는 창구로서의 기능 또한 중요시되고 있다. 따라서 전환기에 선 협회의 발전적 앞날을 위해서는 보다 다각적인 방향에서 그 위상을 재정립하고 또한 국제화ㆍ개방화ㆍ정보화시대에 제 기능과 역할을 다할 수 있는 전문조직으로 거듭나야 할 것이다. 이에 본지에서는 이번 좌담을 통해 협회의 기능과 역할을 재조명해 보고 아울러 사회적 요구에 부응하는 전문자격사단체로서의 위상을 확립해 나가기 위한 다양한 의견을 듣는 자리를 마련하였다.

Various kinds of living circumstances are making population structure of Korean changed. That is, number of the children is decreased and that of the aged is increased. It is predicted that population of the children and the aged will be almost same until 2020. With above, as the expectation of the aged on healthy living might be increased, some special programs for the aged will be needed strongly. At this point, Korean aged population might be economically poor, comparing with other generation. In general, economic factor affects the subjective living-satisfaction and health status of them. Moreover, educational status, household shape and family tieing also affect their health status. According to the foreign articles, health status of the aged might be related to income, educational status, job, employed or/not, marital status, family structure, sex, and childhood condition. decrease of the income or unemployment could make the death rate of the aged higher. During childhood, discordance among the family might affect their health status after. IGUR is also important factor to affect the adulthood health. Positive life style of the aged would lessen their unequality of the health among them. Nutritional status of the Korean aged population might be indicated under the nutritional recommendation. This was performed to improve the working conditions of oyster mushroom cultivation on bed using rice straw of which binding and cutting procedure need a lot of time. There was a little difference in physiochemical components between rice straw and cotton waste C/N ration of cotten waste was, however, similar to rice straw as 84-85. If is feasible to use as substrate material. The average yield of a net was 1450g in six frustration harvest, when the size of an onion net was $35{\times}30cm$, mixture ratio of rice straw to cotton waste was 40:60(V/V). Cultivation method using an onion net saved 3 days for preparation, 4 hours for inoculation compared to normal bed cultivation. This method was analysed to give 5% economical benefit.

This paper explores the inter-ethnic conflicts between Blocks and Hispanics focusing on the emergent Hispanic ethnictity that reveals situational character in the US contexts. In the US census categories, major groups are indetified by race and ethnicity in which the Hispanic orgin is a category based on their common language while diverse in nationality. The census defined Hispanic category extends conveniently to acquiesce Affirmative Action and other government resource distribution. Internally, Hispanics have established numerous organizations to coalesce and assure their interests. The achieved dual language program and jurisdictional revision to represent language minority work as leverages to their cohesiveness. Under diminishing public resources and welfare payment, it is more difficult sharing burdens than benefits between minority groups. Block are not comfortable with the benefits Hispanics receive form the civil rights achievement without having had to struggle for it. The ethnic conflicts of the have-nots have become a new ethnic phenomenon attributable to the emergent Hispanic ethnicity.

As most structures need all sided analysis, development of precise and ideal analytical techniques are required. In non-metric camera alone or metric and non-metric camera can be used for the purpose of measurement, the object will be analyzied economically and quickely. The purposes of this study are to suggest possibility of analysis of circular strip by means of Bundle Adjustment and to investigate efficiency of analytical method by combination of metric and non-metric camera. For these purposes, cylindrical structure was taken as the object and multiple convergent photographs changing ${\omega}$ and ${\phi}$, by which circular strip was formed, were analysed.

In this article, the women as the subject of the family management in the 19th century cataclysm, In particular, I tried to reconstruct the specific life course of a woman who has a status as a jongbu(종부) in the Korean language through the Hangul letter. The Haenam Yoon's the 8th jongbu(종부) Gwangju Lee attempted to find her own unique identity, not the male-centered social order she had learned. Because she had to live a life outside the traditional environment of traditional society because her husband died at the beginning of her marriage. She perceived herself as an independent subject that she had to find and maintain. When Gwangju Lee married and came to the family of Haenam Yun, the economic power of jong-ga(종가) was much inclined. This economic difficulty was caused by the conflict with the slaves and the decrease of tallage(地代) to the change of the slavery system which was the social flow at that time. And uncles of her husband's intervention made the economic situation of the family more difficult. She established her position as a jongbu(종부) and used the right of Adoption option(입후권) of the jongbu(종부) to establish the impoverished family. She chose adoption from distant relatives who were not children of her husband's uncles. Therefore, I was free from her husband uncle's interests. She also believed that it was most important to take control of the economic interests of her family in order to secure her authority as a jongbu(종부). She believed that she had to exercise her economic rights in order to bring slave labor, which is the most important means of sustaining the domestic economy at the time, In the absence of her husband, she established her family in the social upheaval of the nineteenth century, and took her place as a master of a family, not just a family name.

135 Degree standard hook workability crossed in the Reinforced Concrete (RC) Structure is improved and it reinforces in one side 90° hook binding. As a result, we proposed a One-touch Rebar Reinforcing Clip(RCC Device) that demonstrates the same performance as the 135° standard hook. It was developed through the evaluation of construction and economic analysis. As a result of analyzing 13 sites applied from June 2020, As expected, most of the cases were applied to the structural supervision or the point of the construction supervisor as an irresistible measure. therefore, Through field performance analysis, Various methods such as the method that the original contractor first purchases and then provides after contract with the partner company were proposed for the use of efficient and voluntary reinforcing clip. As a result, It is expected that the contribution in the field will be very high in terms of quality and process management through active utilization.

The failure of early economic sanctions aimed at hurting the overall economies of targeted states called for a more sophisticated design of economic sanctions. This paved way for the advent of 'smart sanctions,' which target the supporters of the regime instead of the public mass. Despite controversies over the effectiveness of economic sanctions as a coercive tool to change the behavior of a targeted state, the transformation from 'comprehensive sanctions' to 'smart sanctions' is gaining the status of a legitimate method to impose punishment on states that do not conform to international norms, the nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction in this particular context of the paper. The five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council proved that it can come to an accord on imposing economic sanctions over adopting resolutions on waging military war with targeted states. The North Korean nuclear issue has been the biggest security threat to countries in the region, even for China out of fear that further developments of nuclear weapons in North Korea might lead to a 'domino-effect,' leading to nuclear proliferation in the Northeast Asia region. Economic sanctions had been adopted by the UNSC as early as 2006 after the first North Korean nuclear test and has continually strengthened sanctions measures at each stage of North Korean weapons development. While dubious of the effectiveness of early sanctions on North Korea, recent sanctions that limit North Korea's exports of coal and imports of oil seem to have an impact on the regime, inducing Kim Jong-un to commit to peaceful talks since 2018. The purpose of this paper is to add a variable to the factors determining the success of economic sanctions on North Korea: preventing North Korea's evasion efforts by conducting illegal transshipments at sea. I first analyze the cause of recent success in the economic sanctions that led Kim Jong-un to engage in talks and add the maritime element to the argument. There are three conditions for the success of the sanctions regime, and they are: (1) smart sanctions, targeting commodities and support groups (elites) vital to regime survival., (2) China's faithful participation in the sanctions regime, and finally, (3) preventing North Korea's maritime evasion efforts.
