  • 한반도를 둘러싼 주변국들은 냉전체제의 붕괴와는 상관없이 끊임없는 군비경쟁을 추구하고 있다. 또한 세계는 경제 및 과학기술의 무한 경쟁시대로 돌입하여 치열한 싸움을 계속하고 있다. 따라서 군사력과 과학기술력의 바탕없이는 냉혹한 국제사회에서 존립하기 힘들고 많은 불이익을 감수할 수 밖에 없는 상황이다. 우리의 당면 과제는 국방기술 특히 민수기술과 호환가능 민.군 공용기술(Dual-use Technology) 개발이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 더욱이 우르과이라운드(UR) 타결이후 국방기술 연구투자의 당위성은 더욱 힘을 얻고 있다. 우리의 방위산업은 70년대 이래 기본병기의 국산화와 자주국방에 크게 기여해 왔다. 그러나 국방비 삭감압력과 군 소요 부족으로 인해 가동률 저하와 MOU에 의한 미국의 제3국 수출동의 제도에 막혀 심각한 위기상황에 직면하고 있다. 이제는 어떤 변화가 절실히 요구되고 있다. 기본적 개념부터 혁신이 뒤따라야 한다. 이에 올 한해 동안 방산정책을 제시하고 돌파구를 마련하는데 제언을 아끼지 않으신 각계인사의 고견을 되새겨 본다.

  • 외식업의 성장률이 국내총생산(GDP)을 크게 웃도는 고성장을 지속하면서 업체 간 경쟁이 점차 치열해 지고 있다. 기존 연구자들에 의하면 경쟁에 우위를 점하기 위한 고객 마케팅 전략으로 외부고객에 앞서 내부고객의 만족을 우선하여야 한다는 주장이 계속되고 있으며, 이에 인적자원관리에 관련한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 외식업 근로자들이 인지하는 심리적 계약위반의 지각이 이직의도 및 고객지향성에 미치는 효과에 대하여 규명하고자 하였으며, 또한 직무만족 및 조직몰입이 가지는 매개효과를 함께 검증하고자 하였다. 그 결과를 바탕으로 외식업 사용자와 관리자에게 근로자의 이직의도를 완화하고 고객지향성을 높일 수 있는 정책적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 인공지능의 추론 작업은 대규모 연산 자원을 필요로 하는 학습 작업과는 다르게 단일 서버에서 다수의 작업을 동시 실행하는 것이 가능하며, 실행 시간이 상대적으로 빠르다는 특성으로 인해 작업 실행을 위해 컴퓨팅 자원을 점유하고 빠르게 작업을 완료한 후 자원을 반환하기 때문에 다수의 추론 작업을 동시에 운용하는데 용이하다. 하지만, 단일 서버의 컴퓨팅 자원은 제한적이다. 이로 인해 컴퓨팅 자원의 허용 범위 내에서 작업을 운용해야 하며, 허용 범위를 초과하는 규모의 추론 작업이 동시에 실행되면 자원 부족으로 인한 경쟁이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 컨테이너 환경에서 다수의 추론 작업이 동시에 실행될 때 GPU 메모리 부족으로 인한 작업 실패 문제를 실험을 통해 확인한다. 또한, 다수의 추론 작업 사이에서 발생하는 GPU 자원 경쟁과 실행을 실패하는 추론 작업의 GPU 메모리 낭비로 인한 자원 활용률 저하 문제를 분석한다.

Multinomial Logit Modeling: Focus on Regional Rail Trips (다항로짓모형을 이용한 지역간 철도통행 연구)

  • Increasingly, the emphasis in regional Passenger rail Planning is finding ways to more efficiently use existing facilities, with particular attention being Paid to Policies designed to spread Peak-Period travel demand more evenly throughout the week with consideration of train classification. In this context the individual's choice of time to travel is of crucial significance. This paper investigates the use of multinomial logit analysis to model ridership by rail classification using data collected for travel from Seoul to Busan during the one week in October 2004. The Particular model form that was successfully calibrated was the multinomial logit (MNL) model : it describes the choice mechanism that will Permit rail systems and operations to be planned on a more reliable basis. The assumption of independently and identically distributed(IID) error terms in the MNL model leads to its infamous independence from irrelevant alternatives (IIA) property. Relaxation of the IID assumption has been undertaken along a number or isolated dimensions leading to the development of the MNL model. For business and related rail travel patterns, the most important variables of choice were time and frequency to the chosen destination. The calibrated model showed high agreement between observed and Predicted market shares. The model is expected to be of use to railroad authorities in Planning and determining business strategies in the Increasingly competitive environment or regional rail transport.

Competency Assessment of Korean Construction Firms on International Plant Projects (국내 기업의 경쟁력 및 업무역량 분석 - 해외 플랜트 사업을 중심으로 -)

  • Last decade, Korea's export scale has resulted in remarkably increasing tendency, and the Korean construction firms(KCFs)' activities on the global markets also have been revitalized. Therefore, this paper analyze a correlation between changes in the oversee market conditions and firms' competitiveness focused on plant business. The aim of this paper is to analyze the internal competency change of the KCFs on the global markets in the past 5 years and to find gap of internal competencies between KCFs and outstanding foreign firms. From a survey analysis this paper found that the external impacts on the global markets(changes of exchange rates, raw materials prices, supply-demand conditions, etc.) have highly influenced the sales amount of the KCFs. But the impacts to change the operating profit have been analyzed as not important. So it is necessary to reinforce the KCF's internal competencies rater than expecting an improvement of the external conditions. Also, the KCFs should strengthen the design engineering as a core competency.

Isotherm, Kinetic, Thermodynamic and Competitive for Adsorption of Brilliant Green and Quinoline Yellow Dyes by Activated Carbon (활성탄에 의한 Brilliant Green과 Quinoline Yellow 염료의 흡착에 대한 등온선, 동력학, 열역학 및 경쟁흡착)

  • Isotherms, kinetics and thermodynamic properties for adsorption of Brilliant Green(BG), Quinoline Yellow(QY) dyes by activated carbon were carried out using variables such as dose of adsorbent, pH, initial concentration, contact time, temperature and competitive. BG showed the highest adsorption rate of 92.4% at pH 11, and QY was adsorbed at 90.9% at pH 3. BG was in good agreement with the Freundlich isothermal model, and QY was well matched with Langmuir model. The separation coefficients of isotherm model indicated that these dyes could be effectively treated by activated carbon. Estimated adsorption energy by Temkin isotherm model indicated that the adsorption of BG and QY by activated carbon is a physical adsorption. The kinetic experimental results showed that the pseudo second order model had a better fit than the pseudo first order model with a smaller in the equilibrium adsorption amount. It was confirmed that surface diffusion was a rate controlling step by the intraparticle diffusion model. The activation energy and enthalpy change of the adsorption process indicated that the adsorption process was a relatively easy endothermic reaction. The entropy change indicated that the disorder of the adsorption system increased as the adsorption of BG and QY dyes to activated carbon proceeded. Gibbs free energy was found that the adsorption reaction became more spontaneous with increasing temperature. As a result of competitive adsorption of the mixed solution, it was found that QY was disturbed by BG and the adsorption reduced.

Analysis of the Results of 2002 and 2003 Examination for Appointing Secondary School Science Teachers (2002 및 2003학년도 중등과학교사임용시험 결과 분석)

  • The teacher appointment examination is consisted of a written test, an interview, a demonstration of teaching practices, one's academic record etc. The primary written test(full credit of 100) consists of multiple-choice test of general pedagogy(30%) and constructed response test of science(70%). The science test consists of science education($20{\sim}30%$) and science content($70{\sim}80%$). Five science exams were implemented for appointing general science, physics, chemistry, biology and earth science teachers in 2002 and 2003. The credits alloted to science education domain decreased from $25.7{\sim}30%$ in 2002 to $24.3{\sim}25.7%$ in 2003. The percentage of correct answer was similar between science education and science content domain in 2002, but the percentage of correct answer in science education domain(70.2%) was 29.8% higher than that of science content domain in 2003. Earth science exam almost reached the target mean score of 60 but the other four exams showed the mean scores ranging from 45.0 to 52.7 in 2002 and from 40.1 to 49.6 in 2003. The percentage of high difficulty items(p<40%) was 41.2% in physics and chemistry in 2002, 50% in physics and chemistry, and 45% in biology in 2003. Seventy eight percent of the items showed fairly high discrimination index(r>.30). In addition, the reliabilities of 5 tests were from .79 to .88. In conclusion, it is recommended that the credits alloted to science education domain should be increased up to 30%, and exam difficulties should be lowered to a proper level by making science content items easier.

Design of MAC Algorithm Supporting Adaptive Transmission Rate on VANET (VANET에서 적정 전송속도를 지원하는 MAC 설계)

  • VANET(Vehicular Ad-hoc Network), standardization of IEEE 802.11p specification is in process. 802.11 MAC protocol grants all nodes equal opportunity to acquire channel without regard to their bit-rates, making it possible for lower bit-rate nodes to occupy communication channel for a fair amount of time thus keeping the higher bit-rate nodes from acquiring connection channel which downward-equalize the overall network performance. Also with the 802.11p MAC protocol, the probability of collision occurring increases as the number of nodes grow. The proposed algorithm is a new MAC protocol that guarantees nodes with acquired channel a firm priority over other nodes for a fixed amount of time with TXOP concept added to 'packet burst' according to the current transmitting speed. This newly designed algorithm allows the construction of wireless network with enhanced network throughput, decreased probability of collisions as well as providing the means to grant each node a fair chance of acquiring connection according to their channel conditions. The algorithm sets the CW's (Contention Window) width wider than the standard's and modulates the continuous transmitting threshold value depending on channel acquired time, thus improving the overall performance of the network.

Properties of Heavy Metal Adsorption of Clay Minerals (점토광물에 의한 중금속 흡착 특성)

  • Cation exchange capacity of clay, white clay and zeolite was estimated by performing the powder adsorption test for 6 different heavy metal (Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Pb and Zn) standard solutions whose concentrations were varied by 5,10,15 and 20 ppm. The adsorption rate of heavy metals decreased with increasing the concentration of standard heavy metal solutions. The adsorption rate of the clay and the white clay showed more than 80% for the all tested heavy metals except Cr and especially above 99% for the Fe and the Pb. The Cr adsorption rate of the mixture of the clay and the white clay increased, however, that of Zn decreased. The adsorption rate of Cr and Zn showed relatively lower values as compared with those of the other heavy metals because the cation exchange H$\^$+/ ions and heavy metal ions of the clay or the white clay were in competition at low pH region.
