Importance Analysis of ESG Management Diagnosis Items for Small and Medium-sized Logistics Companies (중소·중견 물류기업 ESG 경영 이행 진단항목 중요도 분석)

  • ESG management has garnered significant recognition as a crucial concern across all global industries. Within the logistics sector, there is a growing awareness of the importance of ESG management. However, active engagement in ESG practices remains predominantly confined to large corporations, leaving small and medium-sized logistics companies lagging in their comprehension and implementation of ESG principles. Previous studies have consistently underscored the necessity of establishing ESG management guidelines. Furthermore, there has been a call to determine the relative weights assigned to various ESG implementation evaluation criteria, taking into account the distinctive attributes of each category of logistics company. This study endeavors to ascertain the weightings of ESG implementation evaluation items for different types of logistics companies by employing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology. The framework of evaluation is based on the evaluation items outlined in prior research, particularly focusing on ESG management guidelines tailored for small and medium-sized logistics companies. The findings of the analysis reveal distinct prioritizations across different sectors within the logistics industry. For maritime logistics companies, the environment emerges as the foremost concern, followed by society, information disclosure, and governance. Conversely, land transportation companies prioritize society, followed by governance, environment, and information disclosure. In the warehousing sector, environment takes precedence, followed by society, information disclosure, and governance. Comprehensive logistics firms, on the other hand, prioritize the environment, followed by information disclosure, society, and governance. Such guidelines are pertinent for regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders seeking to assess ESG practices within these enterprises. Moreover, this research contributes to the body of knowledge available to domestic small and medium-sized logistics companies, aiding them in effectively navigating and implementing ESG management principles.

  • In a situation where the necessity and importance of ESG management is increasing recently, it is judged that selecting important ESG-related variables for container terminals, which are the bases of export and import logistics, among various variables of ESG evaluation agencies will help to establish ESG management strategies for container terminals which led us to proceed with this study. The results of word network analysis are summarized as follows. The weighed degree, that is, the AWD of Environmental management(E) variables, is obtained in the order of Environmental Protection Investment(54), Environmental Awareness Education(45), Work Team Structure(31), Environmental certification(32). Page Ranks, the order of centrality and connectivity index is Environmental Awareness Education(0.0765), Employee Engagement(0.0765), Environmental Protection Investment(0.0761), Work Team Composition(0.0761), and Environmental certification(0.0761). The AWD(Average Weighed Degree) of the Social Responsibility Management(S) variables, followed by Protecting workers' human rights and contributing to local communities(68), Safety Education(63), Safety certification(59), and Responding to infectious diseases(40). Orders by Page Ranks, centrality and connectivity Index, are Protecting workers' human rights and contributing to local communities(0.165), Safety Education(0.153), Safety Certification(0.144) and Responding to infectious diseases(0.102). The AWD of Governance and Ethical management(G) variables, followed by Anti-corruption(27), Transparent management(24), Mutual cooperation between stakeholders(19), and Sustainability reporting(9). Page Ranks, the order of centrality and connectivity index is the Anti Corruption(0.241), Transparent management(0.216), Mutual cooperation between stakeholders(0.174), Directors' roles and responsibilities(0.105), Shareholder protection(0.097) and Sustainability Report(0.096).

  • This paper belongs in a literature of sustainablity policy determination. This paper offers an actual status and explanation to corporate social responsibility of SMEs in Korea. This study examines CSR situation focused on developing mechanisms to enable the SMEs sector. Firstly, this study suggests introducing the third-party professional assurance service on sustainablity reports and/or asking global accreditation such as ISO14001 and ISO26000 when entry as a provider in government e-procurement system. Secondly, this study introduce the CSR Committee headed by the CEO and coordinates group-wide committees to discuss the CSR Guidelines. Third, because CSR does not only have to do with the SMEs, but pertains to the local community and business partner, this study offered the opportunity to work with large companies in aspects of CSR.

  • 종합병원에서는 많은 환자들의 데이터를 효과적으로 관리하기 위해 각종 자료를 전 산화하고 있으며, 그곳에서 근무하는 간호사들은 VDT (Visual Display Terminal) 앞에서 작업시간의 대부분을 보내야만 한다. 간호사들의 요통 유병률이 타 직종에 비해 높은 편이며, 업무와 관련해서 경험한 요통이 간과되는 경향이 있고, 사고보고를 하지 않는 경우가 많아서 실제의 요통 발생률은 보고된 것보다 더 높을 수 있다[1]는 연구결과가 발표된 바 있으며, 이러한 이유에는 여러 원인이 있겠으나, 그 중에서 특히 VDT작업을 하는 간호사들과 작업환경과의 관계를 규명해 보고자 서울 지역의 일부 종합병원 VDT(Visual Display Terminal) 작업 간호사들을 대상으로 실태조사를 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 VDT 작업 간호사들의 설문지 응답과 직무분석 그리고 작업자세와 작업환경조건 등을 고려하여 VDT증후군에 대한 위험요인을 파악하고, VDT 관련 직업병 예방대책을 마련하고자 하였다. 설문지 분석결과 종합병원 간호사들의 근무환경 및 업무활동과 통증발생 결과간에 관련성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. RULA 프로그램 분석결과인 Level 5가 나왔으며, 이는 3단계 위험수준을 가리키는 것으로 곧 작업환경을 바꾸어야 하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 다양한 리스크 문제가 발생하고 있는 기업 환경 속에서 세계선도 기업들은 이미 효과적인 리스크 관리시스템의 운영을 통하여 개업의 손실을 최소화함으로써 이윤을 극대화하고 있으나 우리 기업들은 아직 그렇지 못한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국제규격인 ISO14971과 IEC62198, JIS Q2001의 리스크 경영 규격을 중심으로 리스크 경영 시스템(Risk Management System :RMS)의 구성을 분석 비교한다. 각각의 규격에서 사용되는 적용범위, 용어 및 정의 리스크 경영의 개념과 절차, 경영 시스템에 적용되는 기법들을 비교, 분석하여 우리 기업들이 가지고있는 리스크 문제를 효과적으로 관리할 수 있는 대안 모색을 가능하도록 하는 기초 자료를 제시하고자 한다.

  • 최근 고객관계 중시와 내부 프로세스 혁신의 대 명제 하에 경영 패러다임이 급속히 변화하고 있는데, 인터넷과 네트워크를 기반으로 하고 있는 최근의 비즈니스와 경쟁전략에 대한 연구는 대부분 새로운 비즈니스 창출이라는 측면에서 지나치게 온라인 기업들에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 그러한 점에서 본 연구의 주된 목적은 고객만족과 내부 프로세스 최적화라는 품질경영의 핵심원천을 지원하기 위하여 IT와 결합된 전자적 품질경영기법의 구성요소를 제시하고 주요성공요인을 파악하여, eCRM과 관련된 학술적 연구자료를 제공하고 기업의 입장에서 보다 효과적인 의사결정의 기반을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 이와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위해 e-비즈니스 내부활동, 업무성과, 경영성과, 그리고 상황요인으로서의 비즈니스 특성 및 정보관리 인프라간의 관계에 관한 연구모형 및 가설을 설정하여 분석하고자 한다. 연구모형의 분석을 통해 업무성과 향상을 위한 전자적 고객관리 활동에서 정보시스템 기능성과의 상호작용효과를 확인한 점은 본 연구에서 중요한 시사점인 동시에 기여점으로 작용하였다고 할 수 있다.

  • A firm is very difficult to find sustainable competitive weapons due to global competition and rapid changes in business environments. As a sequence, an increasing number of organizations are focusing their attention on utilizing knowledge management which can effectively disperse, share, and create information and knowledge. Therefore, this study is purposed to investigate success factors of knowledge management through AHP techniques, to analyze the relative importance among success factors, and to contribute to the organizations which have a plan to introduce KMS by providing theoretical background.

An Exploratory Study on Management Performance of Logistics Companies in Japan (일본 물류기업의 경영성과에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This paper analyzes the characteristics of change in economic indicators logistics business performance indicators in Japan over the past decade. We compare the differences in management performance of groups related to logistics business strategy. This is because we want to show that the logistics business strategy is reflected in the management performance. Research methods include correlation analysis, crossover analysis, and variance analysis. The main results are as follows. First, logistic companies' sales are highly correlated with economic indicators such as GDP, trade value, and stock price. Second, there is a correlation between the business sectors and the proportion of tangible assets. It is understood that different business strategies are appropriate for each industry and each period. Third, the effects of business strategy variables on business performance variables were significant. In particular, the interaction effect of three variables showed a difference in the effect on the yield. The results of this study provide a better understanding of how logistics companies achieve a high performance in the changing economic environment over the past decade.

  • Recently, the government, academia and the food service industry have keen interest in tbe globalization of traditional Korean food. The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of service quality on customer satisfaction and management performance. Korean food restaurants and 188 customers living in Ulsan area were the subjects of empirical analysis. So as to achieve the research purpose, we conducted factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, correlation analysis and frequency analysis through SPSS 12.0 program. The analysis results are as follows. There are 3 factors in the service quality of a Korean restaurant. Customer satisfaction and management performance are drawn as one factor. The correlation analysis among the service quality factors, customer satisfaction and management performance show that they all have positive (+) correlations. Regarding the service quality of a Korean restaurant, the physical environment has the biggest impact, followed by human service and convenience. Regarding the service quality of a Korean restaurant, human service and the physical environment have a significant impact on management performance. Satisfaction of customers who visited Korean restaurant has a significant impact(p<0.001) on management performance.
