A Study on the Tooling of Money Laundering Using Cryptocurrency (가상화폐를 이용한 자금세탁 도구화에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the path of money laundering of criminal proceeds through cryptocurrency using criminal script analysis and to devise measures to prevent and prevent criminal justice agencies from doing so. Method: Based on the results of a prior study on the profit path of cryptocurrency through money laundering and criminal cases in Korea, the path of money laundering was analyzed using criminal script techniques. Result: Most of the cryptocurrencies that have been launched are converted into criminal proceeds, which are re-launched and cashed or have a vicious cycle of being used as criminal funds are used. According to the script, the route of money laundering is mainly converted to criminal proceeds from cryptocurrency exchanges using anonymity, which is repeated several times, making it very difficult to find the money using cryptocurrency in criminal justice institutions. Conclusion: As the method of money laundering using cryptocurrency is becoming more sophisticated, legal sanctions and preventive institutionalization should be prepared for the prohibition or confiscation of cryptocurrency transactions for money laundering after understanding the flow.

An Incident-Responsive Dynamic Control Model for Urban Freeway Corridor (도시고속도로축의 유고감응 동적제어모형의 구축)

  • A Freeway corridor is a network consisting of a few Primary longitudinal roadways (freeway or major arterial) carrying a major traffic movement with interconnecting roads which offer the motorist alternative paths to his/her destination. Control measures introduced to ameliorate traffic performance in freeway corridors typically include ramp metering at the freeway entrances, and signal control at each intersections. During a severe freeway incident, on-ramp metering usually is not adequate to relieve congestion effectively. Diverting some traffic to the Parallel surface street to make full use of available corridor capacity will be necessary. This is the purpose of the traffic management system. So, an integrated traffic control scheme should include three elements. (a)on-ramp metering, (b)off-ramp diversion and (c)signal timing at surface street intersections. The purpose of this study is to develop an integrated optimal control model in a freeway corridor. By approximating the flow-density relation with a two-segment linear function. the nonlinear optimal control problem can be simplified into a set of Piecewise linear programming models. The formulated optimal-control Problem can be solved in real time using common linear program. In this study, program MPL(ver 4.0) is used to solve the formulated optimal-control problem. Simulation results with TSIS(ver 4.01) for a sample network have demonstrated the merits of the Proposed model and a1gorithm.

A Travel Time Prediction Model under Incidents (돌발상황하의 교통망 통행시간 예측모형)

  • Traditionally, a dynamic network model is considered as a tool for solving real-time traffic problems. One of useful and practical ways of using such models is to use it to produce and disseminate forecast travel time information so that the travelers can switch their routes from congested to less-congested or uncongested, which can enhance the performance of the network. This approach seems to be promising when the traffic congestion is severe, especially when sudden incidents happen. A consideration that should be given in implementing this method is that travel time information may affect the future traffic condition itself, creating undesirable side effects such as the over-reaction problem. Furthermore incorrect forecast travel time can make the information unreliable. In this paper, a network-wide travel time prediction model under incidents is developed. The model assumes that all drivers have access to detailed traffic information through personalized in-vehicle devices such as car navigation systems. Drivers are assumed to make their own travel choice based on the travel time information provided. A route-based stochastic variational inequality is formulated, which is used as a basic model for the travel time prediction. A diversion function is introduced to account for the motorists' willingness to divert. An inverse function of the diversion curve is derived to develop a variational inequality formulation for the travel time prediction model. Computational results illustrate the characteristics of the proposed model.

  • 천연가스, 셰일가스 및 바이오가스의 주성분인 메탄은 지구온난화 가스로, 감축대상인 동시에 차세대 탄소 자원으로 주목을 받고 있다. 기존의 화학적 메탄전환방법은 대규모 설비투자가 요구되는 규모의 경제가 적용되어 소규모 한계 가스전에는 활용이 어렵다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 최근에 생물학적 전환법이 대안으로 고려되고 있다. 메탄자화균은 메탄산화효소(methane monooxygenase)를 이용하여 상온 상압에서 메탄을 탄소원으로 사용하여 생장할 수 있다. 따라서 메탄자화균의 메탄 대사경로를 기반으로 대사공학을 활용하면 메탄으로부터의 다양한 종류의 고부가가치 산물 생산이 가능하다. 본고에서는 메탄자화균을 이용한 메탄의 바이오전환 기술의 현황 및 전망에 대하여 논의하였다.

  • This study analyzed the characteristics that affect the direction change of public fitness in the current COVID-19 situation. As a result of the study, if public and active fitness-related awareness is strengthened and fitness places require a transition from outdoor fitness to home training, fitness activities require a transition from offline fitness to offline + online sports fitness, and finally, in the case of fitness equipment, there is an increase in demand for home training. Based on these characteristics, this study is expected to help the entire nation achieve athletic life and a healthy society by presenting its course of action on the change of direction of popular movement.

Interactions between Biosynthetic Pathway and Productivity of IAA in Some Rhizobacteria (근권에서 분리한 세균의 IAA 생합성 경로와 IAA 생성능과의 관계)

  • This study explores the interaction between the production of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), a typical phytohormone auxin and the role of IAA biosynthetic pathways in each IAA producing rhizobacterial strain. The bacterial strains were isolated from rhizosphere of wild plants and identified as Acinetobacter guillouiae SW5, Bacillus thuringiensis SW17, Rhodococcus equi SW9, and Lysinibacillus fusiformis SW13. A. guillouiae SW5 exhibited the highest production of IAA using tryptophan-dependent pathways among the 4 strains. When indole-3-acetamide (IAM) was added, Rhodococcus equi SW9 showed the highest IAA production of $3824{\mu}g/mg$ protein using amidase activity. A. guillouiae SW5 also showed the highest production of IAA using two pathways with indole-3-acetonitrile (IAN), and its nitrile hydratase activity might be higher than nitrilase. B. thuringiensis SW17 showed the lowest IAA production, and most of IAA might be produced by the amidase activity, although the nitrilase activity was the highest among 4 strains. The roles of nitrile converting enzymes were relatively similar in IAA synthesis by Lysinibacillus fusiformis SW13. Tryptophan-independent pathway of IAA production was utilized by only A. guillouiae SW5.

  • This study suggests new perspective of interorganizational communication. The importance of communication quality is increasing because it affects performance of marketing channels. In perspective of information exchange, communication quality consists of accuracy, availability, timing, and credibility. In research model, the antecedents of communication quality adopt willingness of information sharing and capability of efficient communication. To examine effects of communication quality on channel performance, research model includes relation of communication quality and conflicts. For empirical test, relation of PC makers and their dealers is decided as a focal dyad. Findings indicate that overall hypotheses are supported except the relation of willingness of information sharing and communication quality.

  • Variable Message Signs (VMS) is one of the major components for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) services that provides real-time traffic and incident information to drivers. The objective of this research was to develop a method determining the optimal location of VMS considering safety and driving characteristics of various drivers. A driving simulator was utilized to evaluate how drivers can safely exit to off-ramp depending on various VMS locations while information relating route diversion was provided. The binary logistic regression and factor analysis were applied in developing a probability model that predicts the success of safe off-ramp exiting. Based on the developed probability model, a method to estimate the spacing between VMS and off-ramp is suggested. It is expected that the products of this study would be utilized as a tool in determining VMS locations for ITS planners and designers.

Transmission of Chinese Monetary Policy Shocks: Evidence from Korea (중국 통화정책 변화가 한국에 미치는 영향)

  • As the trade linkages and the financial relationship between China and Korea grow stronger, China's influence on Korea is also growing larger. Therefore, it is meaningful to examine key features of Chinese monetary policy operations and the current situation, and to analyze the transmission mechanism of China's monetary policy shocks onto the Korea economy. China's monetary policy shocks can have an impact on the Korea economy through the trade, financial and oil-price channels. In the trade channel, an expansionary Chinese monetary policy can increase Korea's exports of intermediate goods to China under the vertical trade structure, via the vertical trade integration effect. Meanwhile, the expenditure switching effect and the income demand effect show no statistical significance. In the financial and oil-price channels, expansionary Chinese monetary policy shocks can decrease the interest rate and increase both stock prices and the consumer price index in Korea through changes in global portfolio capital flows, interest rates, and raw material prices.
