This thesis is to discover the meanings of boundary through East Asian thought so as to make rooms for discoursing on it. First of all people have their own boundaries of 'Me', and they make others as persons or objects in their thoughts. Originally boundary has represented nation's frontier, and it indicated the worlds of space in Buddhism of East Asian culture. It is represented by loka or visaya in Sanskrit and region, dominion, boundary, border in English, which means the worlds that people would fancy in their minds over domains of politics, societies, culture, arts ect, not to be simple. Accordingly we must not approach to its meaning simply like 'beyond border'. There are many boundaries, which are similar to the sublime, for us to arrive in our lives. Spiritually there are also many boundaries(regions) that are made by our desires, wills and concepts. In a while there are limit or problem in our recognizing things, for example, of human's five senses that would be, to an extent connected with Buddhistic understanding of boundaries. Boundaries resulted from partiality in understanding of objects must be got rid of eventually. In regard of these matters, this thesis discusses the meanings of boundary, those that are inevitably made by human's consciousness, and negative ones to be got over from recognition systems of person or any groups.

Assuming that while the Confucian idea-based awareness of boundary appeared to have a distinct effect on traditional residential spaces the awareness of an individualized nuclear family-oriented boundary deviated from authoritarianism has been recently shown in the modern residential spaces, this study was conducted to clarify what the modern people's awareness of boundary influences individual residential spaces and how the boundary is structured. This study was carried out by examining prior studies on the concepts of boundary and analysing the planes of residential apartments as a typical modern residential space, based on the comparison of traditional and modern residential spaces. It was shown, then, that the awareness of boundary in the modern residential space appeared to be structured in the residential apartment space according to the change in the social position and role of family members, unlike the spatial division of the traditional residential spaces based on the social class and sex.

In this study, based on the awareness of the problem of current scientific guard systems of ROKA, We suggested a develoment direction for scientific guard system applying 3 elements of Revolution in Military Affairs by 2035. To this end, we analyzed challenges of current scientific guard systems and reviewed similar cases in other countries. Based on this, We suggested a develoment direction for scientific guard system, comprised of the concept of gurad operation, the organization of guard troops, and MUM-T(manned and unmanned teaming) by applying the framework of 3 elements of military innovation (operation concept, organization, weapon system). In order to overcome challenges at hand, we need a innovative scientific guard systems that applies MUM-T based on high technology along with agile&smart guard troops.

The article takes a critical perspective that reunderstanding the canon of Daesoon Thought is necessary to expand its application to the needs of modern society given the rapid speed of societal changes. The key point is the emergence of a cultural ecologism within Daesoon Thought. What is called the cultural ecologism is focused upon the sustainable horizon of unifying culture and ecology in the organic structure of a total-life culture. A reciprocal unity of culture and ecology is characteristic of a coherent whole with an original unitary process in the circle of Nature. Cultural ecologism, therefore, aims at seeking after the sustainability of culture wherein the value of culture is integrated in the grand stream of the ecological spirit of Nature. In the Late Joseon Dynasty, Daesoon Thought paid attention to the Great Opening (開闢) to secure the people's livelihoods and it offered edification concerning anti-feudalism in a dimension of realistic awareness which guided people's lives. The process of the Great Opening functions as a process for the world of the Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth (天地公事) which culminate in the experience the Earthly Paradise (地上仙境) of the Later World (後天). In the cultural ecologism of Daesoon Thought, this course is equivalent to a process of Haewon (grievance-resolution) in the sense of dissolution and reconciliation. From the wide umbrella of cultural ecologism, consequently, it is possible to say that Daesoon Thought can arrive at the reality of the Earthly Paradise (地上仙境) through the Great Opening of the Later World, in which human beings can enjoy the infinite vitality of the universe from within their own finite vitality.

International conditions surrounding the Korean Peninsula have been recently undergoing a sudden change. The South-North relations have been defined by severe tensions for many years; however, since the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, relations between the two nations began to thaw, and expectations of unification have been rising. Nevertheless, some still warn that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is utilizing a "carrot and stick" tactic. With this, recent research revealed that there is a low sense of national security among college students and teenagers in Korea, which magnified the importance of establishing a strong sense of national security and having a national viewpoint. A way to achieve this is for the army, a core institution of national security, to release army records as online contents. This paper takes an in-depth look into the US Army's online contents service, a leading national records management system, and seeks to provide development plans for the Republic of Korea Army's online contents service.

This research has verified the efficacy of character education course in Liberal Art Curriculum in accordance with the objective of K Women's University of which is the 'mind sharing through mindfulness, SMART human resources development'. Most of the content of character education is organized aiming to promote values of "appreciation". The subjects are experimental group and control group, of which are 229. Research methods were t-test of between groups. The effects of the course have shown that the experimental group students were higher on the level of connectedness sub-scale in Gestalt Contact Boundary Scale than those of the control group students(t=2.323, p = .021). Although the 'character education' course increased connectedness, but it no positive effect on mindfulness skill and self-esteem. This results showed that character education course is effective to promote mind sharing and connectedness in part. It was discussed about a way of further refining course contents and the need to reflect educational philosophy of the K Women's University.

The aspect of consciousness of drifting people expressed in Wang Shizhen's works accurately reflects the trajectory of his life. Living in the environment of the people, he had to play a dual role in caring for and managing the people's society while serving as a manager of Qing dynasty in the home of the people during his youth. In the middle age, when Qing Dynasty was already stabilizing, the consciousness of drifting people gradually disappeared as the wounds and pains of the past were gradually diluted, showing a tendency to take care of life and return to their hometowns.

21세기는 과학혁명이 일어날 것이라고 과학자들은 말하고 있다. 고도로 발달된 과학기술과 그 기술에 의해 빚어진 새로운 생활모습이 나타날 것이다. 그런데 과학기술은 양날의 칼과 같아서 적절히 사용하면 우리 삶을 윤택하게 해주지만 이기적인 욕망에 칼자루를 맡기면 오히려 인류 멸망의 불씨를 제공할 수도 있다. 과학기술이 인류를 위해 쓰여지도록 하기 위해선 그 기술의 경제적 이익과 사회적 비용을 적정하게 가름할 수 있는 윤리의식 확보가 선행되어야 할 것이다.

Desktop Documentary is a new documentary mode which uses a screen capture technology to complete the multitasking process of the creator who searches in the Internet Open Archive instead of shooting with a camera and remixes the selected multimedia contents using a computer interface. In this paper, we explore the desktop documentary that transforms potential archives into database narratives in the new media environment, converts cinematic mise-en-$sc{\grave{e}}ne$ into computational mise-en-interface, and transcends the boundaries between creation and criticism through creative mechanism as curation through stream of consciousness. We also examine the concept, type and characteristics of the desktop documentary which emerges since 2010s as an experimental attempt of new media art, a new hybrid genre of mainstream horror film, a new mode of fiction film, a new mockumentary style, and a new form of video essay and audiovisual critique.

It is commonly emphasized that the metaphor of the monster is a rhetoric universally used to identify the "main enemy" of a society, for its effective function is seen as useful for the uniting of citizens to bend together to survive or succeed before the external threat. The problem of this metaphor is that it homogenizes and dehumanizes the heterogeneous individual members of the subsequently identified enemy group. This study emphasizes the importance of some traits of the posthuman subject, such as the flexibility and the multiplicity of consciousness, to overcome the otherizing binary perspective which is commonly held regarding the concepts of good and evil. To observe specific dimensions of the posthuman consciousness, we analyze three films based on Spanish history and reality: The Spirit of the Beehive, The Day of the Beast and Pan's Labyrinth. All of these films progress around the figure of the enemy-monster(s), showing how to transgress the dichotomous structure of consciousness that defines the self/good dividing it from the other/evil. The heroes in the films seek to overcome the fear about the monster, and approach him to discover new ethical horizons, that can emerge only when an individual's consciousness chooses to stay on the border between the established beliefs and the unfamiliar voice of the dangerous stranger(s).
