An Empirical Study on the Cryptocurrency Investment Methodology Combining Deep Learning and Short-term Trading Strategies (딥러닝과 단기매매전략을 결합한 암호화폐 투자 방법론 실증 연구)

  • As the cryptocurrency market continues to grow, it has developed into a new financial market. The need for investment strategy research on the cryptocurrency market is also emerging. This study aims to conduct an empirical analysis on an investment methodology of cryptocurrency that combines short-term trading strategy and deep learning. Daily price data of the Ethereum was collected through the API of Upbit, the Korean cryptocurrency exchange. The investment performance of the experimental model was analyzed by finding the optimal parameters based on past data. The experimental model is a volatility breakout strategy(VBS), a Long Short Term Memory(LSTM) model, moving average cross strategy and a combined model. VBS is a short-term trading strategy that buys when volatility rises significantly on a daily basis and sells at the closing price of the day. LSTM is suitable for time series data among deep learning models, and the predicted closing price obtained through the prediction model was applied to the simple trading rule. The moving average cross strategy determines whether to buy or sell when the moving average crosses. The combined model is a trading rule made by using derived variables of the VBS and LSTM model using AND/OR for the buy conditions. The result shows that combined model is better investment performance than the single model. This study has academic significance in that it goes beyond simple deep learning-based cryptocurrency price prediction and improves investment performance by combining deep learning and short-term trading strategies, and has practical significance in that it shows the applicability in actual investment.

  • 기존의 통신사업자는 전통적 음성서비스를 고도화하기 위한 백방의 노력을 기울이고 있다. 여러 가지 부가서비스의 개발 등을 통해 차별화 전략을 구사하고 있는데, 이중에서도 결합서비스의 제공은 가격측면이나 마케팅적 측면에서 가장 손쉬운 서비스 고도화전략이라고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 현재 우리나라의 경우, 시장지배적 기간통신사업자의 결합 서비스 제공은 원천적으로 금지되어 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 결합서비스의 전반적 상황을 총괄해보고, 결합서비스의 제공에 관한 개념적 확립 및 세계 각국의 현황과 국내 제도적 현황을 분석해봄으로써 향후 나아가야 할 올바른 방향에 대해 다각적인 고찰을 해보고자 한다.

The Effect of Combination Patterns between HRM and Business Strategy on Performance (인사관리와 사업전략 간의 결합패턴과 성과와의 관계에 대한 연구)

  • This paper examines the performance according to the combination pattern of HRM and business strategy. The business strategy was divided into Miles & Snow's prospector, defender, and analyzer. Data were collected from the Korea Labor Institute's workplace panel survey from 2005 to 2015, and the analysis used 465 companies that are common respondents of the six wave surveys. To test the research model, structural equation modeling was employed. The results of the analysis showed that the combination of high commitment HRM and prospector had a positively significant effect on the performance. Contrariwise, the combination of high commitment HRM and defender, the combination of high commitment HRM and analyzer were not significant effect on performance.

  • This study aims to suggest practical ways to interact effectively with consumers based on current situation of 'media creative' and media use patterns. Cases of digital signage are reviewed in the perspective of cross media, and the strategic meanings of cross media are explored according to interactivity. Results are collected through 'Naver' search engine service, and can be possibly assorted into five media combined types: SNS-combined, QR codes or Augmented Reality(AR)-combined, Brand App(application)-combined, Online to Offline-combined, and Behavioral factors-combined ones. Some strategic suggestions on media creative are given for effective interaction with consumers.

  • Pipelined architecture improves processor performance by overlapping the execution of several different instructions. The effect of control hazard stalls the pipeline and reduces processor performance. In order to reduce the effect of control hazard caused by branch, we proposes a new approach combining both branch prediction and two paths strategy. In addition, we verify the performance improvement in a proposed approach by utilizing system performance metric CPI rather than BEP.

  • 다기준 의사결정 문제에서 요인간의 가중치 계산과 계산된 요인의 평가값 종합화는 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 다기준 의사결정 문제에 있어서 의사결정자의 의사전략 결합기법을 도출하고 다기준의사결정 문제로 적용하였다. 복잡한 환경에서 의사결정을 할 때 발생되는 모호함을 해결하기 위해 주관적 의견을 결합한 퍼지지합 이론을, 다기준 문제의 요인을 퍼지값으로 계층화하기 위해 계층분석법을 적용하였다. 또한, 의사결정자의 의사전략을 결합하기 위해 순위 가중치평균법을 이용하였다. 순위가 있는 가중치 평균방법은 퍼지집합의 orness 특성을 이용하여 의사결정자의 주관적 의지를 반영할 수 있는 기법으로, 순위가중치평균(OWA) 연산자에 따른 낙관적 혹은 비관적인 정도에 따라 주관적인 의도를 반영할 수 있는 방법이다. 다기준의사결정 문제의 적용사례로서 해상교통안전을 위한 대기정박지의 위치분석 문제를 본 연구에서 제시한 방법에 따라 적용하였다.

A Study on the Bundle Strategy through Attributes related to the Perceived Customer Value of Telecommunication Services (통신 서비스의 소비자 인지 가치 속성에 따른 결합 전략 연구)

  • This paper researches the value of domestic telecommunication bundle products. Customers evaluate each telecommunication products differently according to their attributes. The attributes affecting the customer value of telecommunication bundling can be categorized in 3 ones as follows; corporate image, service feature, and service price. Also authors analyze the difference of importancy that customers consider when they evaluate each products, and propose the optimal scenario for bundling. In conclusion, other two companies A, C excluding B should invest more resources into the portion that strengthen the attributes of company image, and service feature to upgrade their 'corporate image', and 'service feature'. According to 6-scenarios analysis on the bundle products, the QPS expansion of company A was the most advantageous position, but if companies B, C expand DPS made use of their strengths, they can prevent from decreasing additivity rapidly with sequential scenario. The above results show that one company may have equable power in each area, but if another company having strengths in special areas makes up for its weakness and differentiates gradually it can contribute to strengthen its competitiveness. This contributed much more theoretical and practical than the existing researches. Supposing that additivity index evaluated by consumers can be changed by efforts of companies, this scenario planning is the result of study showing that the investment and publicity of each company have to be considered as its characteristic of each product at the same time.

Competitive strategies, CEO characteristics, and firm performance in venture businesses (경영전략과 최고경영자 특성이 기업성과에 미치는 영향: 벤처기업을 중심으로)

  • Biased performance implications are common in conducting empirical analysis on leading firms in strategic management field. Venture businesses in which successful and failing firms in the future are mixed in the present could provide a better discriminative result for examining the determinants of performance. We suggest hypotheses on how competitive strategy, CEO characteristics, and their interactions affect firm performance. We examine these hypotheses through empirical analyses on the basis of a survey collected from 387 venture businesses in order to assure the validity of strategic management theories by using more deviated data. Empirical results show that innovative differentiation from competitive strategies affects firm performance and innovativeness and long-term orientation from CEO characteristics affect firm performance. According to the results of the interaction analyses between competitive strategies and CEO characteristics, cost-leadership and marketing differentiation strategies have combination effects with risk taking, innovativeness, and long-term orientation, while innovative differentiation strategy has no combination effects with risk taking, innovativeness, and long-term orientation. We conclude that cost-leadership and marketing differentiation strategies have no direct effect on firm performance but have combination effects with CEO characteristics, while innovative differentiation strategy has direct effect on firm performance but has no combination effect. Our primary contribution is that we test and confirm that the fit between competitive strategies and CEO characteristics are an important consideration to increase firm performance in venture businesses.
