Structural and Electrical Transport Properties of CuCr1-xNixO2 by Pulsed Laser Deposition

  • ABO2 형태를 가진 delafossite 구조 산화물은 p-type 투명전도체 소재로 유명하다. Delafossite 구조가 p-type 투명전도체에 적합한 결정적인 이유는 밴드갭이 넓고 공유결합에 유리하기 때문이다. 투명전도체는 가시광선의 흡수가 없도록 band gap을 넓히는 것이 우선인데 이러한 band gap이 넓은 구조가 delafossite이다. 또한 delafossite 구조는 구조적으로 각각의 산화물 이온들이 유사 사면체 배위(pseudo-tetrahedral coordination)을 갖는다. 이러한 사면체 배위결합구조에서 산소이온은 비결합면이 없기 때문에 더욱더 공유결합성을 향상시킬 것으로 생각된다. 여기서 A는 +1가 cation, B은 +3가 cation으로 구성되어 있다. A자리에는 1가 원소인 팔라듐, 플래티늄, 은, 구리 등을 가질 수 있고. B자리에 3가 원소이면서도 크기가 알루미늄보다는 크고 란타늄보다는 작은 금속이 들어갈 수 있다. Delafossite 구조는 상온에서 2종류의 polytype (상온에서 Rhombohedaral 구조와 hexagonal 구조)이 존재하며 이들은 각각 3R(Rm) 및2H (P63/mmc)의 결정 구조를 가지고 있다. CuCrO2는 일반적으로 3R결정구조를 가지는 것으로 알려져 있다. delafossite 구조는 전기적 이방성을 띄고 있는데 c-축 방향으로의 전기적 특성이 a-축 방향으로의 전기적 특성보다 약 1000배 높은 물성을 띈다고 한다. 이는 c-축 방향의 원자 위치 때문인데 CuCrO2의 경우 Cu-O-Cr-O-Cu로서 3d-2p-3d-2p-3d 궤도를 가지기 때문인 것으로 알려져 있다.[ref] 반면 c-축으로 에피성장된 박막의 경우 +3가 이온이 위치한 layer에서 hole hopping에 의해 캐리어가 전도된다고 알려져 있기도 하다. 본 연구에서는 PLD를 이용하여 c-plane 사파이어 기판위에 성장된 delafossite구조인 CuCrO2박막의 특성을 알아보았다. p-type 특성을 위하여 CuCrO2에 Ni를 첨가하였으며 그에 따른 구조적 전기적 특성을 조사하였다. 성장온도와 도핑농도를 변화시켜 특성을 연구하였다. 결정구조적 특성과 전기적 특성을 분석하려 한다.

The Problem of Engine Friction Test by Strip Down Method (스트립 다운에 의한 엔진 마찰 시험의 문제점)

  • The aim of this paper is to investigate the problem of strip down method, which is usually used to evaluate the engine friction level. The validity of strip down method was investigated by theoretical analysis of friction in crank and piston assembly. The friction of cylinder and piston assembly was analyzed under the various test conditions. The measured cylinder pressure was used as boundary conditions of friction torque and loss calculation. The friction loss of crank and piston assembly was influenced by test conditions that resulted from the variation of load condition. From the results, we have known that the strip down method could be possible to distort the friction loss of engine moving components.

  • In order to improve engine performance and its reliability it is very important to find the friction force between piston-ring assembly and cylinder wall in engine operating conditions. A new system was developed for the piston-ring assembly friction force measurement. This system had a relatively high fundamental frequency at 884 Hz and a fine resolution of 0.5N in friction force measurement. Comparing with existing floating liner systems this systems required small installation space and at the same time alleviated the system noise problem induced by the thrust and slap impulse forces.

Friction Characteristics of the Piston-Ring Assembly Varying Engine Operation Coditions (운전조건변화에 따른 피스톤-링 결합체 마찰특성)

  • It is important to understand the friction characteristics between piston-ring assembly and cylinder wall for the friction loss reduction as well as the solution of problem such as scuffing wear and oil consumption. A new system was developed for the piston-ring assembly friction force measurement. This system was applied to the friction force measurement to find its functional relationship with variables such as engine speed, oil viscosity, and engine load. The friction mean effective pressure(fmep) was found to have a linear relationship with$(\vpsilon{U})^{0.42}$ under motering and with$(\vpsilon{U})^{0.45}$ under firing operations, where $\vpsilon$ is the kinematic oil viscosity and U is mean piston speed.

  • 신약을 개발하거나 단백질 구조를 예측하는데 Molecular Mechanics (MM)의 방법을 사용한다. 하지만, MM 만으로는 자연현상에서 일어나는 결과를 정확하게 기술하기 어렵다. 본 연구는 기존의 MM 방법으로는 정확히 예측이 불가능한 비 공유결합 중 하나인 ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction을 양자역학 계산을 통해 정확한 예측이 가능한지 보았다. ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction 이란 생체 내, 의약 화합물에서 발견되는 결합이기 때문에, 단백질과 결합하는 구조의 예측이 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 본 실험은 ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction을 갖는 Sandwich, T shape, 그리고 Parallel displaced 세 가지 모형을 가지고 양자역학 계산을 수행하였다. 양자역학 계산은 DFT의 세가지 함수 M06_2X, M05_2X, B3LYP를 이용하였다. 실험결과에서 세 가지 함수가 각기 다른 결과를 보였는데, M06_2X의 결과에서 ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction을 더 정확하게 계산하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 양자역학의 방법을 통해 MM에서는 예측이 불가능한 ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction을 계산 할 수 있고 이 부분을 고려하여 화합물 간의 결합구조를 예측을 향상시킬 수 있다.

  • Among mechanical friction losses in an engine, the piston assembly and cylinder components accounts for the majority of the losses. The movable bore technique has been developed and turned out to be the most reliable technique in measuring the instantaneous friction of piston assembly. The weakness of this system, however, was the presence of the protruded top of movable bore necessary for pressure balancing. Because of the protruded part the piston could not be taken out without disassembling the crankshaft. Present study was carried out with a system of removable top of the movable bore so that it was possible to make frequent piston removals. The effects from engine speed, oil viscosity, engine load and elastic contact pressure of piston rings on the frictional characteristics have been evaluated with the improved equipment. Also, frictions of each member of piston assembly were measured.

  • 7'-Aldehyde-nucleosides analogue (2a, 2c) were synthesized from 6-N-benzoyl-2',3'-O-isopropylideneadenosine and uridine. The condensation of 2 with ethoxycarbonylmethylene Wittig reagent produced the adenosine and uridine analogues containing extended conjugated diene and ethoxycarbonyl group, ethyl-1',5',6',7',8'-pentadeoxy-1'-(adenin-9-yl)-$\beta$-D-ribo-nona-5'(E),7'(E)-dienofuranuronate (4b) and ethyl-1'. 5',6',7',8'-pentadeoxy-1'-(uracil-1-yl)-$\beta$-D-ribo-nona-5'(E),7'-(E)-dienofuranuronate (4c). 9-[8',8'-dibromo-5',6',7',8' -tetradeoxy-$\beta$-D-ribo-octa-5'(E),7'(E)-diene]nucleosides (6b, 6c) were also prepared from 2 with similar method.

  • In this paper, an X-band TDRO(transistor dielectric resonator oscillator) is designed and experimented with the oscillator constructed. Design of the TDRO is carried out by deriving analycally the coupling parameters between a microstrip line and a dielectric resonator. The coupling parameters take account of the relations among substrate material, ground plane, metallic boundaries surrounding the resonator, distance between a microstrip line and a resonator. Two criteria, external quality factor and coupling coefficient, have been chosen in order to evaluate the performance of the TDRO designed. TDRO studed in this paper may be useful for the application of a microwave system requiring a stable and effective oscillator frequency.

  • We synthesized thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer(TPU) with acid group and nano zinc oxide, and characterized their mechanical properties, thermal properties, contact angle and grip property. The effects of the zinc oxide content and size on the physical property of TPU were investigated. When the nano zinc oxide was introduced in TPU with acid group, it had excellent mechanical properties and grip by formation of hydrogen and ionic bonding. The wet slip of TPU with zinc oxide was increased continuously as ionization rate increased due to increase of hydrophilicity and ionic interaction, and mechanical properties were increased with increasing ionization rate up to 50%.
