A Study on Impact Point Prediction of a Reentry Vehicle using Integrated Track Splitting Filters in a Cluttered Environment (클러터가 존재하는 환경에서의 ITS 필터를 이용한 재진입 발사체의 낙하지점 추정 기법 연구)

  • Space launch vehicles are designed to fly according to the elaborate pre-determined path. However, if a vehicle went out of the planned trajectory or its thrust terminated abnormally, or if a free-fall atmospheric reentry vehicle tracked by a tracking sensor became impossible to be measured, it is required to attempt to track by a another track equipment or estimate its impact point rapidly. In this paper a new algorithm is proposed, named the ITS-EKF combined with the Integrated Track Splitting (ITS) algorithm and the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) to obtain the location information of a ballistic projectile without thrust, create its track and maintain it in an environment with clutter. For the reentry vehicle, the track performance is to be verified and the impact point is estimated by applying the simulation through ITS-EKF algorithm. To ensure the proposed algorithm's adequacy, by comparing the track performance and impact point distribution by the ITS-EKF with those of ITS-PF combined with ITS and Particle Filter (PF), it is confirmed that the ITS-EKF algorithm can be used an effective real-time On-line impact point prediction.

Tolerance to Potato Soft Rot Disease in Transgenic Potato Expressing Soybean Ferritin Gene (대두 철분결합단백질 유전자 발현 형질전환 감자의 감자무름병 방어 증진효과)

  • Ferritin is ubiquitous in bacteria, animals and plants. Ferritin is thought to play two main roles in living cells to provide iron for the synthesis of iron protein such as ferretoxin and cytochromes and to prevent damage from radicals produced by iron/dioxygen interaction. To enhance the resistance of potato to Erwinia carotovora, the soybean ferritin gene was introduced into the potato either under CaMV 35S or hsr203J promoter. Potato transgenic plants were screened by PCR analysis using specific primers to the ferritin gene. Expression of ferritin gene under CaMV 35S and hsr203J promoter in potato transgenic plants was confirmed by northern blot analysis. hsr203J promoter known to pathogen inducible in tobacco drives the induction upon Phytophthora infestan in potato and the transcript level of ferritin gene was extremely high after 24 hours post inoculation. One of transformants under CaMV 35S promoter was increased 2.5 fold than untransformant. Each one of transgenic potato containing gene promoter CaMV 35S and hsr203J-ferrtin fusion exhibited tolerance against potato soft rot.

Optimal Hydrophilization and Chondrocyte Adhesion of PLLA Films and Scaffolds by Plasma Treatment and Acrylic Acid Grafting (플라스마 처리와 아크릴산 결합에 의한 PLLA 필름 및 지지체의 최적 친수화와 연골세포 점착)

  • To utilize as highly functional scaffolds for tissue engineering by improving hydrophobicity and cell compatibility of the exist polymer scaffolds, the biodegradable poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) films and scaffolds having the optimal hydrophilicity were prepared by in situ plasma treatment and grafting of a carboxyl acid-containing monomer, acrylic acid (AA) in the chamber. From the results of surface analyses, surface-modified nonporous PLLA film and dual pore scaffold surfaces showed high hydrophilicity due to the decrease in contact angle and the increase in carboxylic groups as compared with untreated PLLA control. In particular, among various surface modification methods, Ar(argon)+AA+AA sample prepared by Ar plasma and then acrylic acid treatments displayed lower contact angle and more carboxylic groups thar Ar/AA and Ar+TP(thermal polymerization) samples, indicating that Ar+AA+AA sample was optimally treated for improving its hydrophilicity. In the cases of surface modified nonporous PLLA films and dual pore scaffolds, the adhesion and proliferation of chondrocytes increased with increasing their hydrophilicity.

Effects of Site-Mutagenesis of an Amino Acid Triplet Repeat at $M_1$ and $M_2$ Muscarinic Receptors on Receptor Function ($M_1$$M_2$ 무스카린성 수용체에서 아미노산 Triplet Repeat의 Site-Mutagenesis가 수용체기능에 미치는 영향)

  • Both $M_1$ and $M_2$ muscarinic receptors contain a triplet of amino acid residues consisting of leucine (L), tyrosine (Y) and threonine (T) at C-terminus ends of the second putative transmembrane domains. This triplet is repeated as LYT-LYT in $M_2$ receptors at the interface between the second transmembrane domain and the first extracellular loop. Interestingly, however, it is repeated in a transposed fashion (LYT-TYL) in the sequence of $M_1$ receptors. In this work, we employed site-directed mutagenesis to investigate the possible significance of this unique sequence diversity for determining the distinct differential cellular function at the two receptor subtypes. Mutation of the LYTTYL sequence of $M_1$ receptors to the corresponding $M_2$ receptor LYTLYT sequence did not result in a significant change in the binding affinity of the agonist carbachol. The reverse mutation at the $M_2$ receptor also did not modify agonist affinity. Surprisingly, the LYTLYT $M_1$ receptor mutant demonstrated markedly enhanced coupling to activation of phospholipase C without a change in its coupling to increased cyclic AMP formation. There was also an enhanced receptor sensitivity in transducing elevation of intracellular $Ca^{2+}$. On the other hand, the reverse $LYTLYT{\rightarrow}LYTTYL$ mutation in the $M_2$ receptor did not alter its coupling to inhibition of adenylate cyclase, but slightly enhanced its coupling to stimulation of phosphoinositide (PI) hydrolysis. Our data suggest that the LYTTYL/LYTLYT sequence differences between $M_1$ and $M_2$ muscarinic receptors are not important for specifying ligand binding and coupling of various subtypes of muscarinic receptors to different cellular signaling pathways although they might play a role in the modulation of muscarinic reseptor coupling to PI hydrolysis.

  • In this paper, a conceptual design of a launch vehicles is proposed by combining Naro-1 and KSLV-II. For trans-lunar injection (TLI) to lunar orbit at 300 km LEO, the target performance is defined same as that of KSLV-II, which delivers an object of 2.6 tons into 300 km LEO. The proposal launch vehicle concept of this study is combination of 1st stage of KSLV-I and 2-3rd stage of KSLV-II. Thus, it is possible to reduce the development time and also could expand the options for national launch vehicle capabilities with proven technologies.

  • Two new copper(I) complexes with organic ligands, $[Cu^I(hfac)]_2(DVTMSO)$ and $[Cu^I(hfac)]_2(HD)$ (hfac=hexafluoroacetylacetonate, DVTMSO=1,2-divinylte-tramethyl-disiloxane, HD=1,5-hexadiene) were synthesized and used for copper metal-organic chemical vapor deposition. In these compounds, two Cu(hfac) fragments are bonded by one neutral ligand forming unusual structure with respect to other Cu(I) complexes. The compounds exhibited relatively high volatility and stability when compared to other copper(I) precursors. By using the reported compounds as precursors, a continuous Cu layer was not formed but the Cu islands were only observed. And the shape and size of Cu islands are significantly changed as a function of the substrate temperature.

Effect of Dynamic Electric Fields on Dielectric Reliability in Cu Damascene Interconnects (동적인 전기장이 다마신 구리 배선에서의 절연파괴에 미치는 영향)

  • Effect of dynamic electric fields on dielectric breakdown behavior in Cu damascene interconnects was investigated. Among the DC, unipolar, and bipolar pulse conditions, the longest dielectric lifetime is observed under the bipolar condition because backward Cu ion drift occurs when the direction of electric field is changed by 180 degrees and Cu contamination is prohibited as a results. Under the unipolar pulse condition, the dielectric lifetime increases as pulse frequency increases and it exceed the lifetime under DC condition. It suggests that the intrinsic breakdown of dielectrics significantly affect the dielectric breakdown in addition to Cu contamination. As the unipolar pulse width decreases, dielectric bond breakdown is more difficult to occur.

  • A vehicle Control System that is a system combined by a Car Navigation System, a Geograhical Information System, and a Communication Network usually permit a central control room to detect vehicle's locations dynamically and manage these informations synthetically. Therefore, a vehicle control system can be used to control the rapid movement of patrol cars, freight transportation, and so on. In this paper, we designed and implemented a data manager for an application system, such as a vehicle control system, that usually manages road data, vehicle data, vehicle's location data, etc. The data manager that is implemented in this paper consists of system management module, road data management module, vehicle data management module, GPS(Global Positioning System) data management module, and additional data management module. Especially, we use the SHORE(Scalable Heterogeneous Object REpository) system as a storage system of the data manager.

  • In the present study, analyses of initial behavior of an air-launched projectile for varying initial conditions are performed by coupling computational fluid dynamics and 6 degrees of freedom calculations. Accuracy of the present numerical methods is validated by comparing the present result with the measured data. Launching safety analyses are carried out for various ejecting conditions by considering weight of the projectile and magnitude of front and rear ejector forces as the major parameters of initial behavior of the projectile. A response surface of the projectile launching safety is obtained in the range of the major parameters. In all the conditions of zero rear ejector force, unsafe launching behavior is observed. As the weight of the projectile decreases, the initial launching behavior becomes more unsafe.

무기물 색변환층 두께 변화에 따른 유기발광소자의 발광 스펙트럼에 주는 영향

  • 백색 유기발광소자는 일반적으로 적색, 청색 및 녹색의 삼원색을 혼합하여 제작하거나 청색 유기발광소자의 빛을 일부 변환시켜 적색 혹은 녹색을 발생하여 백색을 발광하는 구조를 가진다. 백색을 구현하기 위한 삼원색 조합법은 소자의 구조가 복잡하고 제조단가가 상승하며 제작 된 백색 유기 발광 소자내의 발광 영역을 담당하는 물질의 빠른 열화 때문에 발광 스펙드럼에 변화가 생길 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 색변환 방법은 최적화된 청색 유기발광소자에서 발광된 빛을 색변환 무기물 형광체 층에 의해 재흡수하고 재발광하는 과정에 의해 빛이 발생되기 때문에 색변환 무기물 형광체 층을 사용한 유기발광소자는 구조가 단순하며 무기물 형광체가 외부노출에 안정하기 때문에 상대적으로 안정된 동작이 가능하다. 청색 유기 발광 소자의 효율이나 휘도를 개선하면 소자의 성능이 향상될 수 있는 구조적 장점이 있다. 그러나 기존에 일반적으로 제조하던 방법인 고상반응법에 의한 형광체입자의 크기는 ${\mu}m$ 이상이며 형태도 불규칙한 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 졸겔방법으로 녹색 무기물 형광체 $Zn_2SiO_4:Mn$를 제작하였고 청색 형광 유기 발광 소자에 적용하였다. X-선 회절측정 결과는 형성된 녹색 무기물 형광체내의 Zn 이온이 도핑된 Mn 이온에 대체되었음을 보여주었다. 제작된 진청색 형광 OLED의 전계발광 스펙트럼은 461nm에서 발광 스펙트럼을 나태내고 녹색 무기물 형광체는 470 nm에서 여기되어 Mn 이온의 $^4T_1-^6A_1$ 전이에 의하여 526 nm에서 발광을 한다. 이 과정에서 색변환층의 두께가 0.3 mm 이상일 때 461 nm의 발광스펙트럼의 세기가 급격히 줄어들었다. 이 결과는 제작된 녹색 무기물 형광체를 진청색 유기발광소자와 결합하고 색변환층의 두께를 변화하여 제작된 유기발광소자의 발광색을 조절할 수 있음을 보여주었다.
