Morphology of Styetched Poly(ethylene terephthalate)/ Poly(m-xylene adipamide) Blends (연신된 폴리(에틸렌 테레프탈레이트)/ 폴리(메타-자이렌 아디프아미드) 블렌드의 형태구조)

  • The morphology of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET)/poly(m-xylene adipamide) (MXD-6) blends, which was prepared by adding compatibilizer and interchange reaction agent, was investigated. The morphological change in the stretched blend films was also studied. The stretched film showed a dispersed MXD-6 fibril. This fibril became finer with increasing draw ratio (DR). The addition of compatibilizer and interchange reaction agent had no effect on the improvement of interfacial adhesion but caused a defect between the continuous phase and the dispersed phase, leading to the formation of irregular fibril. The change in the superstructure of blends with composition and draw ratio was examined with light scattering (LS). The H$\sub$v/ LS patterns showed a double-cross type pattern consisting of a broad rod-like pattern and a sharp cross streak. On the basis of the model calculation of the H$\sub$v/ pattern, it was found that the appearance of the double-cross type pattern was attributed to the stacking of crystals oriented along the draw direction. The crystals were gradually oriented to the stretching direction with draw ratio. As a result, the high level of orientation was obtained fur the sample of draw ratio is 6.0.

Shape control of ZnO thin films and nanorods grown by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD 법으로 저온에서 성장한 ZnO 박막과 나노구조의 모양변화)

  • 21세기 정보통신 및 관련 소재의 연구방향은 새로운 기능성 확보, 극한적 제어성, 복합 및 융합이라는 경향으로 발전해 가고 있다. 반도체 기술 분야에서 현재의 공정적 한계를 극복하고 새로운 기능성을 부여하기 위해 나노 합성과 배열을 기본으로 하여 bottom-up 방식의 나노소자 구현이 큰 주목을 받고 있다. 나노선의 경우 나노 스케일의 dimension, 양자 제한 효과, 우수한 결정성, self-assembly, internal stress 등 기존 벌크형 소재에서 발견할 수 없는 새로운 기능성이 나타나고 있어 바이오, 에너지, 구조, 전자, 센서 등의 분야에서의 활용이 가능하다. 현재 국내외적으로 반도체 나노선으로 널리 연구되고 있는 재료는 ZnO, $SnO_2$, SiC 등이 중심이 되고 있다. 이중 ZnO 나 노선의 합성을 위해서는 thermal CVD, MOCVD, PLD, wet-chemical 등 다양한 방법이 사용되고 있다. 특히 MOCVD 방법에 의해 수직 정렬된 ZnO 나노막대를 성장할 수 있다. 이러한 나노막대는 MO 원료 및 산소 공급량을 적절히 제어함으로서 수직 배향 및 나노선의 구경 제어가 가능하며, 나노 막대의 크기 제어와 관련해서는 반응 관내의 DEZn 와 $O_2$의 양을 변화시켜 구조체의 크기를 수 십 ~ 수 백 나노미터의 크기로 제어할 수 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 ZnO 나노선의 성장과정에서 $210^{\circ}C$ 이하의 저온에서 성장한 ZnO 버퍼층을 이용해 나노구조의 형상을 제어하고자 하였다. 특히 ZnO 저온 버퍼층의 두께에 따라 나노막대의 직경변화, 수직배향성, 형상변화의 제어가 가능하였다. 나노막대의 특성 평가는 TEM, SEM, PL, XRD 등을 이용하여 구조적, 결정학적, 광학적 특성을 분석하였다.

Monolayer Characteristics of Bilayer Forming Phosphate Amphiphiles (이분자막 형성능을 가지는 인산형 양친매성 화합물의 단분자막 특성)

  • The monolayer characteristics of phosphate amphiphiles with azobenzene at air/water interface were studied by the measurment of $\pi-A$ curves and absorption spectra. Immediately after being spread on the water surface, these amphiphiles having strong intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions showed the typical absorption spectra which resulted from domain formation. But the aggregated domains could be controlled by changing the subphase conditions (adding bulky salt and rasing pH). Addition of metal ions in subphase changes the molecular orientation of monolayer. As the metal ion charge increases ($1\leq2$ < 3 < 4 valence), the absorption maximum (310nm) of the amphiphile with azobenzene shifts to a longer wavelength (350nm) which means that the orientation of the amphiphile is tilted. These results suggest that the molecular orientation, and furthermore the aggregation state of monolayer can be possibly controlled by the interaction of metal ions with different charge types.

Micro-Structure and Magnetic Properties of Electroless Co-W-P Alloy Deposits Formed (무전해 Co-W-P 합금 도금 층의 미세구조와 자기적 특성)

  • In these respects the purpose of this research is manufacturing Co-W-P alloy thin film on the corning glass 2948 by electroless plating method using $NaH_2PO_2H_2O$ (sodium hypophosphite) as a reductant, and analyzing deposition rate, alloy composition, microstructure, and magnetic characteristics at various pH's and temperatures. For Co-P alloy thin film, the reductive deposition reaction occurred only in basic condition, not in acidic condition. The deposition rate increased as the pH and temperature increased, and the optimum condition was found at the pH of 10 and the temperature of 8$0^{\circ}C$. Also magnetic characteristics was found to be most excellent at the pH of 9 and the temperature of 7$0^{\circ}C$, resulting in the coercive force of 870Oe and the squareness of 0.78. At this condition, the contents of P was 2.54% and the thickness of the film was 0.216$\mu\textrm{m}$. For crystal orientation, we could not observe fcc for $\beta$-Co. On the other hand, (1010), (0002), (1011) orientation of hcp for $\alpha$-Co was observed. We could confirm the formation of longitudinal magnetization from dominant (1010) and (1011) orientation of Co-P alloy. For Co-W-P alloy thin film, coercive force was 500Oe and squareness was 0.6. For crystal orientation, (0002) orientation of $\alpha$-Co was dominatly found. Then we could confirm the formation of perpendicular magnetization. The content of P was constant at 0.8$\pm$0.2% and the content of W increased as the concentration of Na$_2$WO$_4$increased. When the concentration of Na$_2$WO$_4$was 0.1mol/L, the composition of W was 20%. We observed the changes of magnetic characteristics and microstructure of thin film depositions of Co-W-P by the heat treatment. For heat treatment, the temperature was increased step by step to 10$0^{\circ}C$, 20$0^{\circ}C$, 30$0^{\circ}C$, and 40$0^{\circ}C$ and it took 1 hour at each step in the reductive condition of hydrogen gas. By the heat treatment, flatness of surface was improved, but there were no changes on the magnetic characteristics and the microstructures.

Characteristics of aluminum-induced polycrystalline silicon film for polycrystalline silicon solar cell fabrication (다결정 실리콘 태양전지 제조를 위한 비정질 알루미늄 유도 결정 입자 특성)

  • 본 연구에서는 증착법에 의해 제조된 다결정 실리콘을 이용한 태양전지 제작과 관련하여 다결정 실리콘 씨앗층 제조를 위한 기판에 대하여 연구를 수행하였다. 다결정 실리콘 씨앗층을 제조할 수 있는 기술중 aluminum-induced layer exchange(ALILE) 공정을 이용하여 다결정 실리콘 씨앗층을 제조하였다. glass/Al/oxide/a-Si 구조로 알루미늄과 비정질 실리콘 계면에 알루미늄 산화막을 다양한 두께로 형성시켜, 알루미늄 유도 결정화에서 산화막의 두께가 결정화 특성에 미치는 영향, 결정결함, 결정크기에 대하여 연구하였다. 형성된 다결정 실리콘 씨앗층 막의 특성은 OM, SEM, FIB, EDS, Raman spectroscopy, XRD, EBSD 을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 산화막의 두께가 증가할수록 결함도 함께 증가하였다. 16nm 두께의 산화막 구조에서 <111> 방향의 우선배향성을 가진, $10{\mu}m$의 sub-grain 결정립을 갖는 씨앗층을 제조 하였다.
