The absence of Fe, Se, and Mo in a minimal medium prevented the production of hydrogen from the anaerobic culture of Escherichia coli MC4100. Fe, Se, and Mo are known to be cofactors of formate dehydrogenase ($FDH_{II}$) of both E. coli and Enterobacter aerogenes. Hence when these trace elements are absent in the minimal medium, hydrogen production through formate dehydrogenation would be inhibited not only in E. coli but also in E. aerogenes. Hydrogen production by E. aerogenes 413 was delayed when lacking these trace elements. Therefore, it is believed that hydrogen production of E. aerogenes is initiated not by the reoxidation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) but by formate decarboxylation.

The purpose of this research is to examine the characteristics and problems of OASIS, a web archive, developed and operated by the National Library of Korea, and then to propose how to improve the quality of its contents. An analysis of the contents in 'Literature' and 'Social Sciences' in the OASIS website shows problems, including low quality of some contents, lack of balance in subjects and creators/publishers, duplicate collections of web documents and web sites, lack of currency and evidence of unique or scholarly value of collected web resources, etc. Suggested are the use of 'real-name' of subject specialists to ensure their responsibilities in selection process and the addition of metadata elements to evidence the appropriate application of selection criteria.

오늘날 유통업을 둘러싼 시장환경의 급속한 변화와 유통구조의 재편은 지역 재래시장에 심각한 영향을 미치고 있다. 다양화, 개성화된 신소비행태의 확산, 개방화에 따른 상품고 유통시장의 국제화, 정부규제 완화, 지방화 시대의 도래, 정보화의 진전, 다양한 신업태 등장 등 지난 수십 년간 경험하지 옷한 새로운 환경의 도래는 유통업계 전체에 엄청난 변화를 강요하고 있다. 이러한 새로운 유통 환경속에서 자생적 경쟁력이 취약한 지역 재래시중 은 유통 환경변화에 적응하지 못해 침체를 면치 못하고 있다 이 같은 재래시장의 침체와 위축은 지역 영세상인의 생계문제와 진주지역의 경제에까지 영향올 미치고 있는 실정이다. 현재 지역의 재래시장이 직면해 있는 실태를 살펴보면, 첫째, 국내 유통시장 완전 개방9 따른 유통 산업구조의 변화와 극심한 경기침체 등의 경제환경의 변화, 소비자 욕구의 다양화에 따른 소비환경의 변화, 유통구조 변화의 영향으로 따른 신업태의 출현함으로써 기존의 경쟁상권의 판도 변화에 대한 대응력의 부족올 문제점으로 지적할 수 있다. 둘째, 상인자본의 영세성으로 인한 시설의 불비와 낙후성, 공중 및 환경시설의 미비, 주차공간의 미확보 등 시장의 시설적 측면에서 문제점이다, 세째, 시장활성화에 대한 상인들의 자발적인 노려과 이의 실천을 위한 확고한 의지의 결여 및 서로 믿고 신뢰하는 시장문화의 부재, 그리고 시장기능의 악화에 대한 상인들의 깊이 있는 성찰과 인식이 부족한 점을 지적할 수 있다. 넷째, 소비자들이 재래시장올 외면하는 가장 큰 이유는 '품질과 성능에서의 차별화 독자성'의 결여를 들 수 있겠다. 다섯째, 독창적인 커뮤니케이션의 부족이다. 동대문 시장이 상인들의 끊임없는 노력으로 세계적인 의류패션의 메카를 일궈낸 것을 타산지석으로 삼아야 할 것이다.

This study intends to identify the current situations, and, to investigate the major problems of academic library automation in South Korea. Emphasis was on the quality evaluation of the present library automation systems from the perspectives of both librarians and end-users. Three most representative automation systems were chosen for a comparative analysis: Seoul National University's SOLARS, Postech's LINNET, and Pusan National University's PULIP. Each automation system was analyzed and compared [no another in terms of the development history, the system functions, and, the strength and weakness. The final suggestion includes the philosophy and strategies for the future development of academic library automation systems.

This study is to propose the characteristics that a desirable quality, especially usability, evaluation method of hospital information systems(HIS) should possess. This study reviews the literature recently published in the academic journals which are in the Science Citation Index or registered by the Korean Research Foundation. Especially, the International Journal of Medical Informatics was the valuable source, providing almost 20 literature. The results reveal the need to develop a domain-specific usability evaluation method that reflects the uniqueness of hospital industry. The results show user-centeredness and context-orientedness are the indispensible characteristics of a HIS quality evaluation method too.

In a simple linear regression, a linear relationship between an explanatory variable and a response variable can be easily recognized in the scatter plot of them. The lack of fit test for the replicated data is commonly used for testing the linearity but it is not easy to test the linearity when the explanatory variable is not replicated. In this paper, we propose three new test statistics for testing the linearity regardless of replication using the principle of average slope and validate them through several simulations and empirical studies.

WBAN (Wirless Body Area Network)은 IEEE 802.15.6에서 정의한 통신 표준으로 인체 내/외부 및 표면에 장착되는 무선 센서 장치들을 통해 의료 및 비의료 서비스를 동시에 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이러한 WBAN은 인체 중심 구성과 네트워크 내부의 이동성 및 네트워크 단위의 이동성을 가지는 특성으로 인해 다수의 WBAN들이 좁은 공간에 공존할 수 있으며, 상호 간섭으로 인해 성능 저하와 같은 문제에 노출된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 IEEE 802.15.6에서는 공존 상황을 이동성에 따라 3가지로 세분화 하였으며, 세분화된 각 상황에 적합한 공존성 해결 방안의 가이드라인을 제시하고 있다. 하지만 표준에서는 세분화한 공존 상황을 인지하는 알고리즘과 각 공존성 문제 해결방안의 상세 방안이 결여되어있다. 또한, WBAN의 공존성 문제를 해결하기 위해 제안된 기존의 연구들은 표준에서 정의한 공존상황을 고려하지 않고 있어 추후 표준 기반의 WBAN의 구현시 호환성이 결여된다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 WBAN의 공존성 문제 해결에 대한 연구방향의 재조명이 필요한 때 이다. 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.15.6 표준과 기존의 공존성 문제 해결 방안을 소개하며, 기존 연구의 연구 접근 방법을 분석하고 문제점을 제시한다. 또한, WBAN의 공존성 문제에 대한 새로운 접근 방법과 연구 방향을 제시한다.

Feeding test was conducted to determine the values of opaque-2 corn selected from opaque-2 conversion program at the Crop Experiment Station, Suwon. At the end of 24 days of experiment, the average gain of body weight of white rats fed on opaque-2 corn was 40.2 grams, that of the rats on normal corn, 31.4 grams, 1.3 fold difference. The growth rate of rats expressed by regression coefficients indicated that the effects of opaque-2 corn was greater than that of normal corn.
