8200호대 전기기관차 견인전동기의 설계에 따른 강도 및 운전특성 해석 (The Analysis of Strength and Driving Characteristic according to Design of Traction Motor for 8200 Electric Locomotive Series)

  • In this paper, The strength and driving characteristics of it were investigated according to developing the traction motor for 8200 electric locomotive series. For this purpose, Flux density strength was analyzed and then structural strength was investigated such as a stator frame, design of the rotor shaft bearing according to the design process. In addition, the traction motor operating point was analyzed according to slip frequency variation at a power source frequency. As the results of analysis on torque-speed characteristic curve, we was confirmed that traction motor was controlled as torque control prior to motor speed 1610[rpm], power control between 1610[rpm] and 2500[rpm] and breakdown torque control more than motor speed 2500[rpm].

  • Designing of the squirrel cage AC Traction Motor has many difficulties which has to be small size in order to be suitable into bogie frame, high efficiency and light weight. It means that induction motor for tractive purpose has to be different magnetic and electric loading ratio from industrial induction motor. This paper is devoted to an examination of how this ratio affects overall design concept and hence the main design points for traction motor. Also studied is tile changed coefficients of the magnetic and electric loading ratio squirrel cage induction motor for the traction purpose which has been already identified from tile reference book for industrial purpose induction motor.

  • With the development of high speed railway, traction motors play a critical role in the operation of railway vehicle. This paper describes the use of 1000 pF coupler as a on-line partial discharge (PD) measurement for the assessment of railway traction motor. The PD tests are performed with developed PD analyzer and the 5 model coils such as thermal, electrical, mechanical and environmental aging respectively at various AC voltages. On-line PD tests using 1000 pF couplers show that PD patterns can be detected successfully at 2.3 kV.

  • This paper supposes the vector control algorithm to estimate the rotor position of permanent magnet synchronous traction motor using the hall-effect sensor. The hall-effect provides 60 electrical degrees resolution in rotor position sensing and it is very low resolution. The algorithm makes resolution high as optical encoders or electromagnetic resolver. If necessary, the reference rotor position angle is controlled by adjusting the variable. When a rotor position sensor such as either a optical encoder or a electromagnetic resolver is misalignment, it is useful to align with those. The method on adjusting the reference rotor position angle can compensate for misalignment error degrees by 60 electrical degrees.

  • The traction motor for High Speed Train is being required reliability and stability for high-speed operation. And also required low noise level, high performance, compact size owing to the space and weight limitation for attaching to train, etc. As a result of requiring the low noise level and high power capacity, it is adopted forced-air-ventilation insead of self-ventilation that is generally used on electric multiple unit. Traction motor is cooled by cooling air through the air-ventilation hole. When the traction motor is operated with forced-air-ventilation, there is some abnormal noise in the specific RPM. This paper is dealing with the method to reduce the resonance phenomena by adopting the rotor blade.

  • This paper develops the high-efficiency drive system of the small-size electric vehicles (EVs) driven by the brushed dc motors. A power circuit for driving the dc motor is designed with the H-bridge circuit and buck converter by considering both the efficiency and cost. In order to change smoothly the rotating direction of dc motor driven by the proposed power circuit, an operating sequence for both the field current and the armature voltage according to an accelerator pedal angle is suggested. Through the simulation studies and experimental results with the low-cost 8-bit AVR, the performances of the proposed methods are verified.

  • This paper deals with the loss distribution analysis of 250 kW traction induction motor using a coupled transient finite element method (FEM) and Preisach modeling, which is presented to analyze the characteristics under the effect of saturation and hysteresisloss. The focus of this paper is the efficiency evaluation relative to hysteresis loss, copper loss, etc. on the basis of speed condition a 250 kW Traction Induction Motor. Computer simulation and experimental result for the efficiency using dynamometer show the propriety of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문은 3상 2여자 방식의 출력성능을 개선하기 위한 새로운 통전각 확장방식에 관한 연구이다. 제안된 토크제어 방식은 정격토크 이하에서는 기존의 $120^{\circ}$ 통전 PWM 방식으로 토크를 제어하고, 정격토크 이상에서는 출력 증대를 위해 통전각 확장을 통하여 토크를 제어하는 새로운 토크제어 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 또한 PSIM을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 방식의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, we were performed a structural analysis and durability analysis for an integral frame with an axle according to development of the electric locomotive traction motor. In terms of the structural stability, as a result of the analysis modeling with coupling conditions of beam element and an alternative element of three-dimensional, the maximum von-Mises stress of the locking screw mounting frame were similar as 50MPa and 51MPa. Also A comparison of the natural frequency and the exciting frequency while driving of the electric locomotive No. 8200, the natural frequency is 627.05Hz~856.9Hz while the exciting frequency is not more than most 30Hz or 553Hz, 1110Hz. Therefore, it is possible to avoid the resonance.
