A Study on the Rectangular Distribution of far Field Sources in Equivalent Source Method (등가음원법에서의 직육면체형 원거리음원 배치에 관한 연구)

  • The equivalent source method (ESM) uses two groups of equivalent source positions. One group includes the first order images of the sound source inside the enclosure. The positions of the other group are usually on a spherical surface some distance outside the enclosure. A proper selection of the positions for the far field sources could greatly improve the performance of the modeling accuracy and reduce the number of the sources to achieve the required accuracy. This study uses optimally distributed far field source positions on the surface of enlarged version of the rectangular enclosure instead of using typical spherical distribution. Simulations using various sizes of the box shaped distribution are executed and optimal positions are searched using an optimization technique from the larger number of candidate positions. The results of using these far field source positions are compared and analyzed.

  • 거친 표면 위에서 물방울은 Wenzel (WZ) 상태와 Cassie-Bexter (CB) 상태로 존재할 수 있으며, 특히 돌기 사이를 채우고 있는 물 분자의 상태 (액체 또는 기체)로 물방울이 어떤 상태인지를 알아 낼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 열역학적 이론과 격자 기체 기반의 몬테카를로 방법을 사용하여 표면 위에 존재하는 돌기의 크기와 모양이 돌기 사이에서 일어나는 물 분자의 액체-기체 상전이에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보았다. 돌기의 너비와 높이가 일정한 비율을 유지하고 있을 경우, 직육면체 (Square) 돌기의 경우 그 크기가 커질수록 CB 상태로의 상전이가 잘 일어나는 반면, 원통형 (Circular) 돌기의 경우 매우 큰 크기에서 더 이상 CB 상태로의 상전이가 일어나지 않는 것을 확인하였다.

  • The goal of this paper is to offer material which make mathematising Fruedenthal(1991) proposed be experienced through the process of teaching and learning mathematics. In this paper, the number of unit squares a diagonal passes through for an m$\times$n lattice rectangle is studied and its generalization is discussed. Through this discussion, the adaptability of this material Is analysed. Especially, beyond inductional conjecture, the number of unit squares is studied by more complete way, and generalization in 3-dimension and 4-dimension are tried. In school mathematics, it is enough to generalize in 3-dimension. This material is basically appropriate for teaching and learning mathematising in math classroom. In studying the number of unit squares and unit cubes, some kinds of mathematising are accompanied. Enough time are allowed for students to study unit squares and unit cubes to make them experience mathematising really. To do so, it is desirable to give students that problem as a task, and make them challenge that problem for enough long time by their own ways. This material can be connected to advanced mathematics naturally in that it is possible to generalize this problem in n-dimension. So, it is appropriate for making in-service mathematics teachers realize them as a real material connecting school mathematics and advanced mathematics.

Numerical Analysis of the Ocean Tidal Current Considering Sea Bottom Topography (해저지형을 고려한 조류유동의 수치해석)

  • A multi-layer simulation program is developed to estimate the ocean current considering sea bottom geometry. The so-called $\sigma$ coordinate system is introduced in vertical direction to describe sea bottom topography more accurately and effectively. Leapfrog scheme combined with Euler backward scheme is used to reduce computation error which may be possibly accumulated in time evolution by Leapfrog scheme alone. In this paper, very simple examples of rectangular basins with various bottom geometries were taken and the effect of sea bottom geometry on vertical structure of the ocean tidal current and its direction were investigated. Through comparisons between the present three dimensional calculation in which bottom topography is directly taken into consideration and the two dimensional calculation in which depth average concept is employed, it was found that magnitude of surface current and its direction could be largely affected by the sea bottom topography, particularly in shallow region with complex bottom shape.

Calculation of Satellite's Power Generation by the Earth Albedo (지구 알베도에 의한 위성의 생산전력 계산)

  • Because solar panels of normal satellites are faced to the sun, the power generation by the Earth Albedo is almost neglected in satellite's power analysis. However, many cubesats don't have deployable solar panels and in this case the Earth Albedo is not negligible because solar panels are in six sides facing different directions. In this paper, we calculated satellite's power generation by the Earth Albedo. We divided the Earth's surface into grids based on polar coordinate system. We modeled power generation in each solar cell by reflection on these grids. We simulated 1 U cubesat which flies in sun synchronous orbit and 500 km altitude so that we calculated satellite's power generation by the Earth Albedo.
