A Study on the Dielectric Characteristics of Si-Doped ZNR (Si가 첨가된 ZNR의 유전특성에 관한 연구)

  • Si가 첨가된 ZNR의 겉보기 유전상구, 겉보기 비유전손율, 유전비저항의 주파수 특성을 여러 측정온도에서 조사하였다. 모든 ZNR에 대하여 유전분산현상 및 유전흡수현상이 뚜렷이 나타났으며, 비슷한 경향의 유전성질을 나타냈다. SiO$_{2}$첨가량이 증가함에 따라 겉보기 유전상수, 피이크 겉보기 비유전손율은 감소하였으며, 유전비저항은 증가하였다. 온도상승시 겉보기 유전상수, 피이크 겉보기 비유전손율은 증가하였으며, 흡수 피이크 주파수는 고주파측으로 이동하였다. SiO$_{2}$첨가량이 증가함에 따라 ZNR은 Cole-Cole원호에서 0.68-0.72범위 내에서 증가하는 $\beta$값을 가지며, 완화시간의 분포가 좁아지는 유전특성을 나타냈다.

  • Nd치환이 Ag의 용융점 이하인 94$0^{\circ}C$에서 소결한 $Bi_{1-x}$$Nd_{x}$N$bO_{4}$세라믹스의 소결거동과 마이크로파 유전특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. Nd치환량(x)이 증가함에 따라 사방점에서 삼사정으로 변하는 양이 증가하였고 결정립의 크기, 겉보기밀도, 유전상수는 감소하였다. Q$xf_{0}$값은 Nd 치환량이 0.025mole 이하의 경우 큰 변화가 없으나, 그 이상에서는 증가하여 0.1mol일 때 최고값을 보이고 다시 급격히 감소하였다. TCF값은 Nd치환량이 증가할수록(+)방향으로 증가하였다. 가장 우수한 마이크로파 유전특성은 Nd 치환량이 0.025mole일 때 얻어졌으며, 이때 유전상수는 43.7, Qxf/ sub 0/값은 11,046GHz, TCF값은 -1.82ppm/$^{\circ}C$이었다.

  • Microwave dielectric properties of $(1-x)CaWO_4-xYNbO_4$ ceramics have been investigated as a function of $YNbO_4$ content($0.05{\leq}x{\leq}0.4$). A single phase with tetragonal scheelite structure was obtained up to x=0.10 and then the secondary phase with fergusonite structure was increased. With the increase of $YNbO_4$ content, apparent densities of the specimens were decreased. This results were due to the lower theoretical density of $YNbO_4(5.581g/cm^3)$ than that of $CaWO_4(6.117g/cm^3)$. Dielectric constant(K) and quality factor(Qf) were decreased with $YNbO_4$ content which could be attribute to the decrease of density and the increase of secondary phase. Temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (TCF) of the specimens with the $YNbO_4$ content was depended on dielectric mixing rule.

  • Microwave dielectric properties of $(Na_{1/2}{\;}La_{1/2})TiO_3$ (NLT) ceramics which is an A site complex perovskite structure are investigated. Dense sintered bodies are obtained when calcined at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 4h and then sintered in the temperature range between $1350^{\circ}{\;}and{\;}1450^{\circ}C$. NLT shows the bulk density of $4.95g/\textrm{cm}^3$, relative density of 96.4%, and a simple cubic structure with lattice constant(a) of 3.873$\AA$. Dielectric Constant(${\varepsilon}_r$) and quality factor Q increase as bulk density and average grain size increase respectively. NLT has the dielectric ${\varepsilon}_r=125$, Q=2842(fo=3 GHz), ${\tau}_f=465{\;}ppm/^{\circ}C$ when sintered at $1400^{\circ}C$ for 4h.

  • Lithium fluorhectorite 결정상을 함유한 glass ceramics 분말의 형성과 제조된 glass ceramics 분말을 이용한 저온 소결기판의 특성평가를 하였다. Li2O-MgO-MgF2-SiO2 계 유 리로 핵형성 및 결정 성장을 실시하여 lithium fluorhectorite 결정상을 지닌 glass ceramics 를 제조하였다. 유리시편의 핵형성 온도는 46$0^{\circ}C$였고 결정성장온도는 600, 640, 110$0^{\circ}C$에서 나타났다. $600^{\circ}C$에서의 결정상으 Li2.4LiSi4O10F2가 나타났다. Li2.4Mg8LiSi4와 Li2.8Mg0.6SiO4은 lithium fluorhectorite 결정상으로 되기 위한 중간상임을 확인할수 있었다. 64$0^{\circ}C$에서 열처리 후 110$0^{\circ}C$에서 재열처리하여 형성된 결정은 lithium fluorhectorite 와 tridymite가 최종 결정 상으로 나타났다. 이것은 수중에서 water swelling 현상에 의하여 분말화할 수 있었다, 기판 제조용 slurry를 제조하기 위해 glass ceramics 분말에 Al2O3분말을 0,25,50wt%로 혼합한것 과 glass ceramics 분말에 potashborosilica-te glass 분말을 15, 30, 45, 60 wt% 로 배합하 여 doctor blade 법으로 green sheet를 제조하였다. green sheet 는 950~150$0^{\circ}C$로소성하여 기판의 특성을 평가하였다. 겉보기 기공율은 3.06~19,14%이었고, 전기적 특성으로 유전상수 는 3~5(100KHz)를 나타내었다.

Stability of Vitamin-C Inclusion Comolexes Prepared using a Solvent Evaporation Method (용매증발법으로 제조된 Vitamin-C 포접복합체의 안정성)

  • Vitamin-C is one of the typical bioactive substances widely used in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications. It is well known that the bioavailability of vitamin-C decreases with time because it is spontaneously oxidized in the presence of oxygen. In this study, vitamin-C inclusion complexes were prepared by formulating vitamin-C with 2-hydroxypropyl-${\beta}$-cyclodextrin (HP-${\beta}$-CD) to protect vitamin-C from being oxidized. Vitamin-C inclusion complexes were prepared by a solvent evaporation method using a rotary evaporator and various solvents of different dielectric constant such as ethanol, methanol and distilled deionized water to investigate the effect of solvent polarity on the stability of vitamin-C. To estimate the stability of inclusion complexes, samples were stored in a 50 mM phosphate buffer solution of pH 7.0 for 24 hours at $25{\pm}0.1^{\circ}C$ and the degradation rate of vitamin-C was calculated using a high performance liquid chromatography. The stability of vitamin-C was observed to improve with the increase of solvent polarity.

Development of Time Domain Reflectometry Probe for Evaluation of Copper Concentration in Saline Environment (염수환경에서의 구리 농도 평가를 위한 Time Domain Reflectometry 프로브 개발)

  • As electromagnetic waves are affected by electrical conductivity or permittivity, they are widely used to evaluate geotechnical characteristics. In this study, a probe for measuring electromagnetic waves using a time domain reflectometry is manufactured to evaluate heavy metal concentration in saline water. In the experiments, a copper is used as a heavy metal, and a probe is demonstrated with the concentration of copper. Solutions were set for 8 different copper concentration (0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1, 5, 10 mg/L) in saline water with 3% salinity. The probe is coated by electrical insulating materials such as epoxy, top-coat, varnish, acrylic paint, heat-shrinkage tube to measure electromagnetic waves in saline water. The measured signals are compared according to coating material. As results, for probes coated with acrylic paint and heat-shrinkage tube, signal variation is not detected. For epoxy, top-coat, and varnish coated probes, the voltage decreases with an increase of copper concentration. Probes coated by epoxy at once and top coat can estimate under 5 mg/L of copper concentration and the probe coated by epoxy twice can estimate over 5 mg/L of copper concentration. This study shows that the probe using the time domain reflectometry can be used to evaluate the concentration of heavy metal in saline water by coating the probe with insulating material.

  • Several new ion exchange resins have been synthesized from chloromethyl styrene-1,4-divinylbenzene(DVB) with 1%, 2%, 4%, and 10%-crosslinking and macrocyclic ligands of cryptand type by interpolymerization method. The adsorption characteristics and the pH, time, solvents and concentration dependence of the adsorption of metal ions by this resin were studied. The correlation between the separation characteristics of uranium, rare earths and transition metal on the resins and the stability constants of complexes with macrocyclic ligands have been examined. The resins were very stable in both acidic and basic media and have good resistance to heat at $280^{\circ}C$. The $UO_2^{+2}$ aqueous solution are not adsorbed on the resins below pH 3.0, but the power of adsorption of $UO_2^{2+}$ increased rapidly above pH 4.0. The optimum equilibrium time for adsorption of metallic ions was twenty minutes and adsorptive power decreased in proportion to crosslinking size of the resins and order of dielectric constants of solvents used and the selective sequence for metal cations is in the order of $UO_2^{2+},\;Cu^{2+}\;and\;Nd^{3+}$.
