Study on Applicability of the Vehicle Detection Using a Coil Sensor (코일센서를 이용한 차량검지기 적용성에 대한 연구)

  • This study was intended to evaluate the feasibility of the vehicle detector using a coil sensor. For the evaluation, the research team built a test environment for the detector consisting of a oscillation circuit, data collecting circuit, data monitoring and saving circuit, etc. As the result of the frequency analysis of the detector from the test environment, it was verified for the detector using a coil sensor to generate stable frequencies. In addition, the ease of construction and management was tested by comparing the size of cutting areas, consumption of installation materials, and installation time for a traditional loop detector and the detector using a coil sensor. As a result, the installation of the detector using a coil sensor requires less size of cutting areas, consumption of installation materials, and installation time.

  • A vehicle rainfall sensor is made to control the operating speed of wipers depending on rainfall. Therefore this is the apparatus to determine the velocity phase of the wipers roughly based on the amount of rainfall. However, the technology which can judge the size of rainfall amount besides determining speed level of the wipers is developing according to the development of the function of rainfall sensor due to the development of technology. In this study, a rainfall measurement by using light scattering by precipitation particles was used. This measurement is to use light signal reflection from front glass and the bigger particle is the less detection of light by light scattering. The detection area of the rainfall sensor and detection channel were extended sizes to increase the accuracy of the rainfall. Also the W-S-R relational expression was developed by using a relationship between the specific precipitation (R) and the amount of sensor detection (S) when there is speed change of the wipers (W) and an indoor rainfall apparatus was used to convert sensing signal to rainfall. The signal system of vehicle rainfall sensor can be converted to the actual rainfall amount by using this formula and if this is provided to users then the vehicle observation network can produce higher-resolution than actual observation network can be produced.

  • A new adaptive TMS variable area flow meter that is used to the environment measuring equipment is proposed. This system is consist of a ball moving within the tube line which corresponds to gas flow and photo sensor array which monitoring the movement of ball. This system can monitoring the position of bali in case of the very few gas flow in various levels. And it can automatically adjust the gas flow at the highest and the lowest level to prevent the tube line blockage.

  • This study suggests a method of detecting the still object, which becomes a cause of danger within the crossroad. The Inverse Perspective Transform was performed in order to make the object size consistent by being inputted the real-time image from CCTV that is installed within the crossroad. It established the detection area in the image with the perspective transform and generated the adaptative background image with the use of the moving information on object. The detection of the stop object was detected the candidate region of the stop object by using the background-image differential method. To grasp the appearance of truth on the detected candidate region, a method is proposed that uses the gradient information on image and EHD(Edge Histogram Descriptor). To examine performance of the suggested algorithm, it experimented by storing the images in the commuting time and the daytime through DVR, which is installed on the cross street. As a result of experiment, it could efficiently detect the stop vehicle within the detection region inside the crossroad. The processing speed is shown in 13~18 frame per second according to the area of the detection region, thereby being judged to likely have no problem about the real-time processing.

A Research of Factors Affecting LiDAR's Detection on Road Signs: Focus on Shape and Height of Road Sign (도로표지에 대한 LiDAR 검지영향요인 연구: 도로표지의 모양과 높이를 중심으로)

  • This study investigated the effect of the shape and height of road signs on detection performance when detecting road signs with LiDAR, which is recognized as an essential sensor for autonomous vehicles. For the study, four types of road signs with the same area and material and different shapes were produced, and a road driving test was performed by installing a 32Ch rotating LiDAR on the upper part of the vehicle. As a result of comparing the shape of the point cloud and the NPC according to the shape of the road sign, It is expected that a distance of less than 40m is required to recognize the overall shape of a road sign using 32Ch LiDAR, and shapes such as triangles and rectangles are more advantageous than squares in securing the maximum point cloud from a long distance. As a result of the study according to the height of the road sign, At short distances (within 20m), if the height of the sign is raised to more than 2m, it deviates from the vertical viewing angle of the LiDAR and cannot express the complete point cloud shape. However, it showed a negligible effect compared to the near-field height change. These research results are expected to be utilized in the development of road facilities dedicated to LiDAR for the commercialization of autonomous cooperative driving technology.

금속-유기 구조체 기반 비효소식 글루코오스 센서

  • 빠르고 정확한 글루코오스 농도 측정은 의료, 식품, 환경 등 다양한 산업에서 매우 중요하다. 글루코오스 산화효소를 기반으로 하는 현재 글루코오스 센서는 높은 감도와 선택성을 갖지만 온도변화나 다른 화학물 등 환경에 취약하다는 단점이 있다. 따라서 최근 비효소식 글루코오스 센서에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 금속-유기 구조체(MOFs)는 금속이온과 유기물 리간드로 구성된 결정성 다공체로, 큰 기공 크기와 비표면적, 안정성 등을 특징으로 갖는다. 대부분의 MOFs는 전기전도도가 낮지만 금속이온의 산화/환원, 리간드의 화학적 개질을 통해 전기화학분야에서도 다양하게 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 글루코오스 농도 측정을 위한 전극촉매로 다양한 금속이온과 리간드로 이루어진 MOFs를 합성했다. 표면분석을 통해 MOFs의 전기화학적 처리 전후의 구조와 성질 변화를 관찰했고 전기화학적 분석을 통해 금속이온과 리간드의 종류가 감도, 선택성 등 글루코오스 검지 성능에 주는 영향을 분석했다. 그 결과 Ni, Co 기반의 MOFs가 글루코오스에 대해 높은 감도를 보였으며 이를 통해 MOFs의 글루코오스 센서로의 응용 가능성을 확인했다.

Development of Vehicle Classification Method using Discriminant Function Based on Detection of Dual Tire (주행차량의 복륜 여부 판정을 통한 차종분류 방안)

  • Traffic volume is essential data for traffic control or maintenance and rehabilitation planning. The volume especially with respect to the type of vehicles can facilitate to those road operations. In this research, a method for vehicle classification was developed using skewed sensors which can generate traffic signatures. In order to characterize vehicle types, the method investigates whether the second axle of each vehicle consists of dual tires. The presence of dual tire is determined by the discriminate function obtained from discriminant analysis. The validation using 1,878 vehicles recorded from a highway using a CCTV camera indicated significantly accurate results: 96.92% for class 1, 82.91% for class 3 and 79.13% for class 4.

Effects of Process Variables on the Microstructure and Gas Sensing Characteristics of Magnetron Sputtered $\textrm{SnO}_2$Thin Films (마그네트론 스퍼터링 증착 조건에 따른 $\textrm{SnO}_2$ 박막의 미세구조와 가스검지특성 변화)

  • Microstructures and the gas-sensing characteristics of the $\textrm{SnO}_2$ thin films were studied, which were deposited at various conditions (rf power, sample temperature, $\textrm{O}_2$/Ar ratio) by the rf magnetron sputtering. As a result, six typical microstructures were derived, such as amorphous(A), amorphous mixed with polycrystalline grains (A+P), polycrystalline with random crystalographic orientation (P), fine columnar (FC), coarse columnar (CC) and Zone T (T) with dense fiberous structure. Typically, A, A+ P, and P structures were formed when no $\textrm{O}_2$ was added to the sputter gas, whereas FC, CC, and T structures were obtained when $\textrm{O}_2$ was added. The A structure formed at low rf power and low temperature, the A+P at high rf power and low temperature, and the P at high rf power and high temperature. The FC structure was obtained at low rf power and low temperature. the CC at low rf power and high temperature, and the T at high rf power and low temperature. Results of the gas-sensing test of the sensor chips fabricated from the typical films indicated that the fine columnar microstructure shows the highest sensitivity both at $300^{\circ}C$ and $400^{\circ}C$. It was proposed that this is due to the high specific surface area of the micro-columns.

Fabrication and Characteristics of Infrared Photodiode Using Insb Wafer with p-i-n Structure (p-i-n 구조의 InSb 웨이퍼를 이용한 적외선 광다이오드의 제조 및 그 특성)

  • A highly sensitive photovoltaic infrared photodiode was fabricated for detecting infrared light in $3{\sim}5\;{\mu}m$ wavelength range on InSb wafer with p-i-n structure grown by MOCVD. Silicon dioxide($SiO_2$) insulating films for the junction interface and surface of photodiode were prepared using RPCVD because InSb has low melting point and evaporation temperature. After formation of In ohmic contacts by thermal evaporation, the electrical properties of the photodiode were characterized in dark state at 77K. A product of zero-bias resistance and area($R_0A$) showed $1.56{\times}10^6\;{\Omega}{\cdot}cm^2$ that satisfied BLIP(background limited infrared photodetector) condition. When the photodiode was tested under infrared light, the normalized detectivity of about $10^{11}\;cm{\cdot}Hz^{1/2}{\cdot}W^{-1}$ was obtained. we successfully fabricated a unit cell with InSb IR array with good quantum efficiency and high detectivity.

  • 한의학에서 맥진을 하는 위치인 좌, 우 요골동맥상의 촌(寸), 관(關), 척(尺) 위치는 손목에 있는 요골 경상돌기(styloid preocess) 부근의 볼록한 지점인 고골(高骨)을 기준으로 맥이 느껴지는 위치를 검지, 중지, 약지를 이용해 찾는다. 각각의 위치는 한의학적인 관점에서 각기 다른 장부의 기능과 연결되며 그 차이를 인지하여 맥을 진단하는데 그 결과에 따라 병증을 진단하는 요소로 활용되게 된다. 그러나 생리학적으로 좌, 우 요골동맥의 차이는 크지 않다고 알려져 있으며 차이에 대한 연구도 많지 않다. 본 연구에서는 기존연구에서 밝혀진 좌, 우 요골동맥의 혈류속도의 차이를 근거로 한의사 맥진시 센서 역할을 하는 손가락에서 감지된 좌, 우 맥진위치의 차이가 실제 맥진기에서도 나타나는지를 측정을 통해 확인 해 보고자 한다. 건강한 20대 남자 135명을 대상으로 맥파를 측정하여 맥파 파라메터 중 차이를 보이는 파라메터를 통계분석하였다. 그 결과, 11개의 파라메터가 좌, 우 맥진위치에서 차이를 보이는 것을 확인하였다. 차이를 보이는 변수는 특정 변수로 한정되지 않고 맥압과 관련된 (h1~5) 변수와 피크가 나타나는 시간의 변수, 맥파 파형의 면적 등 다양한 변수에서 차이를 확인할 수 있었다.
