Economic Analysis of Geothermal Energy Facilities Applied to Public Buildings (공공 건축물 지열에너지설비 적용에 따른 경제성 분석)

  • The aim of this study to propose an efficient method in selecting the type of new and renewable energy applied in at the planning phase of buildings. This study applied geothermal energy facilities with high adaptability to buildings. This study considered the energy reduction and reduced cost by comparing the values with the energy consumption before applying of geothermal energy facilities. In order to propose more reliable criteria of economic evaluation, maintenance costs reflecting the replacement cycles and initial construction costs by drawings and specifications for installation facilities for practical geothermal energy based on construction statement for life-cycle cost analysis. The results will help to effectively select economic types of facilities for new and renewable energy of the planning phase of buildings.

  • 배수설비시스템에 적용되는 각종 기기들의 특징 및 통기관의 선정 방법을 미국의 ASPE code에 제시되어 있는 내용을 중심으로 소개하고자 한다. 건물 내에서 발생하는 오수 및 배수는 항상 건물 외부로 잘 배출시켜야 한다. 이러한 배수시스템은 원활한 배수가 수행되어야 하도록 수평배수관은 적합한 구배를 주어야 하며, 부지경계선 밖에 설치된 공공하수도와 체결하여 한다. 오수배관은 지상에 노출시키거나 사설정화조를 체류하지 않고 우수로에 직접 배출할 수 없다. 배수설비를 설계할 때의 문제점은, 배수배관 및 통기관을 선정시 선정된 관경이 최적화되었는지 평가하는데 있다. 즉, 현존하는 건축물의 배수시스템에서 문제점이 발생하지 않는다고 설계된 배수배관경 및 통기관경이 최적화된 것으로 평가하기에는 어려움이 있다고 판단된다.(중략)

  • 최근 몇 년간 생물학적 발생에 대한 구조 및 둥작원리의 모델링에 대한 빠른 진전이 일어나고 있다. 세포자동자(cellular automata CA)와 린드마이어-시스템(L-system)은 다세포의 대표적인 발생/발달 모델이다. L-시스템은 식물의 그래픽 표현에 적용되어 오고 있으며 CA는 인고생명의 연구모델과 인공두뇌의 건축 등의 분야에 적용되어 오고 있다, 현재까지 CA와 L-시스템의 발생규칙은 설계자의 설계에 의존하고 있다. 그러나 진화연사방법을 도입하면 CA와 L-시스템을 자동으로 설계할수 있다. 발생규칙의 진화를 위해서는염색체의 코트화가 필요하다. DNA 코딩방법은 유전자의 중복과 여분을 가지고 있으며 규칙의 표현에 적합한 코딩방법이다. 본 논문에서는 CA와 L-시스템의 규칙을 진화시키기 위한 DNA 코딩 방법을 제안한다.

Investigation of Adaptability of Smart Base Isolation System for Spacial Structures in Regions of Low-to-Moderate Seismicity (중약진지역 대공간 구조물에 대한 스마트 면진시스템의 적용성 검토)

  • To date, a smart base isolation system has been developed in high seismicity region such as Japan, USA etc. Smart base isolation systems developed for structures in high seismicity region cannot directly applied to structures in regions of low-to-moderate seismicity such as Korea. Therefore, problems that occur by applying the smart base isolation system developed for the structures in high seismicity region to the structures in regions of low-to-moderate seismicity have been investigated in this study. To this end, a spacial arch structure was used as an example structure and MR dampers and low damping elastomeric bearings were used to compose a smart base isolation system. Artificial earthquakes were used for ground motions in regions of high and low-to-moderate seismicity. Based on numerical simulation results, it has been known that the capacity of smart base isolation system for the regions of low-to-moderate seismicity should be carefully designed because the base isolation effects of the smart base isolation system for high seismicity region is deteriorated when it is applied to the structures in regions of low-to-moderate seismicity.

  • Highly advanced technologies are being adopted into the domestic construction industry in accordance with rapidly changing global construction industry in the 21st century. Value Engineering methodologies have often been discussed but not yet settled in the country. This research, therefore, aims to provide a useful guide to utilizing design Value Engineering in Build Transfer Lease. 1. Questionnaires had been conducted, answered by those in the field. 2. Questionnaires were in regard to the obstacles in the application of design Value Engineering and activation schemes. 3. Five standards were provided to be chosen according to the degree of influence from each factor, whose answers were technically analyzed by a statistical program afterward. 4. Four obstacles classified in this method were approached systematically to analyze the problems. 5. Efficient Activation schemes have been suggested after various analyses in a variety of aspects.

지능재료 시스템과 구조물을 이용한 국가 기간 시설의 첨단화

  • 최근 지능재료 시스템 및 구조물(intelligentmaterial systems and structures)에 대한 연구가 전세계적으로 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이는 새로 창출된 연구개발 분야로서 현재와 가까운 장래에 국가기간 시설의 기능을 향상 시킬 수 있는 큰 잠재력을 갖고 있다. 지능재료 시스템 및 구조물은 시스템 성능의 극대화, 외부 환경변화에 대한 적응능력 그리고 유지비용의 최소화를 꾀할 수 있는 공학적 시스템 이다. 따라서, 이 지능재료 시스템 및 구조물에 대한 연구 개발 및 구현은 국가 기간 시설 재건축과 기능 향상에 커다란 이득을 가져올 수 있다. 빌딩, 다리, 수송로의 설계에 있어서 지능재료 시스템 및 구조물은 기능의 향상과 더불어 전체적 유지비용 의 감소를 가져올 수 있다. 지능재료 시스템은 형상기억합금 또는 압전재료와 같은 단일 재료를 말하기 보다는 이 재료들이 기능적으로 함께 통합된 시스템을 말한다. 기간 시설의 단순화와 시스템 건축비용의 감소 그리고 유지비용의 최소화를 위하여 지능재료 시스템 및 구조물은 설계와 건축에서 혁신적인 재료를 이용하여 구현되고 있다. 본 글에서 최근 미국 NSF(National Science Foundation) 워크샵에서 발표된 지능재료 시스템 및 구조물에 대한 비용을 바탕으로 이 기술이 국가 기간시설 첨단화 에 어떻게 적용되는가를 기술하고자 한다.

  • 실제 구조물에 있어 확률, 통계 및 이론으로 구해진 랜덤성을 갖는 객관적 불확실성뿐만 아니라 설계자의 경험이나 공학적 판단에 의해 주관적으로 평가되는 인간오차나 시공중의 과오 또는 구조설계에 미치는 사회적, 정치적 및 경제적 요청 등의 퍼지성을 갖는 주관적 불확실성이 존재하기 때문에 현실적으로 랜덤성과 퍼지성을 동시에 고려한 실뢰성평가 즉, 안전성평가에 대한 퍼지이론의 도입이 필수 불가결하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존 구조물의 객관적·주관적 불확실성을 동시에 고려한 신뢰성해석방법으로 베이즈의 의사결정이론에 퍼지이론을 병합한 퍼지-베이즈 신뢰성해석 알고리즘을 개발하여 건축구조물의 신뢰성평가 및 안전성평가에 적용하여 분석하였다.

  • Various types of robots are being utilized in the construction industry. Particularly, there is high interest in robots that can be applied to plastering automation, which can ensure consistent work quality. In this paper, we propose a robot platform based on wheels for plastering automation. Through experiments, we measured the surface pressure according to the air pressure of the wheel using the designed robot. As a result, we were able to confirm that the designed robot could perform plastering work on soft mortar with uniformly low pressure per wheel.

  • Additive manufacturing (AM, also known as 3D printing) technology is digitalized technology, making it easy to predict and manage quality and also, have design freedom ability. With these advantages, AM technology is applied to various industries. In particular, a method of manufacturing buildings and infrastructure with AM technology is being proposed to the construction industry. However, the application of AM technology is restricted due to problems such as insufficient history and quality of technology, lack of construction management methods, and certification of manufacturing products. Therefore, the manufacture of architectural products is implemented with indirect AM technology. In particular, it manufactures formwork using AM and injecting building materials to implement the architectural product. In this study, hybrid type material extrusion AM is used to manufacture large-sized formwork and implement building products. Moreover, we identify factors that can predict productivity and economic feasibility in the additive manufacturing process. As a result, design optimization results are proposed to reduce the production cost and time of architecture buildings.

A Study on the Ranging of Phased BIM Introduction Into the Architectural Information System (건축행정시스템의 단계적 BIM 도입 범위 설정에 관한 연구)

  • This study reviewed the status of domestic and foreign Architectural Information Systems and related laws, analyzed the state of the architectural service industry, and proposed the phased introduction of BIM into Architectural Information Systems. The adoption of BIM in Architectural Information Systems both at home and abroad is generally at an unsatisfactory level, with only Singapore assuming a leading role in this area through activities such as the provision of a separate BIM submission service. Since it is desirable for BIM to be applied to additional types of architecture when the architectural licensing procedure is introduced, the different phases of adoption were set after analyzing the scales and types of architecture as defined in related laws. By analyzing the participation rates of architectural design firms in each scale of architecture design, the results demonstrated that, as the number of floors and total floor area in the building increases, the proportion of small scale architectural design firms involved decreases, while that of large-scale architectural design firms increases. The adoption of BIM is occurring mostly within large-scale architectural design firms, which is why it is desirable for its introduction into Architectural Information Systems to be separated into phases from large-scale buildings to increasingly small-scale architecture. In conclusion, this study divided the adoption of BIM in Architectural Information Systems into 6 stages and, following the Architectural administration procedure, established a segmented road map for the gradual activation of BIM.
