  • A lot of changes are required in a management method of a project because the character of construction projects gets bigger and higher gradually. Especially, for the efficiency of the management method the plans of various viewpoints focused on the construction supply chain field that the technical application of Ubiquitous Technologies such as RFID/USN is being advanced actively are presented. Recently, the introduction of the intelligent equipment which is developed for intelligence of construction site requires the new process model in the construction supply chain management on the construction site. Therefore, this study is to propose the intelligent construction supply chain reference model development in order to provide the guide that the numerous materials for construction could easily be applied in the changed process, as mentioned above, by overcoming the limit of the existing construction supply chain process which is proposed as bar codes and RFID/USN based individual material types and reflecting the change factors like the intelligent equipment of construction supply chain management.

  • The processes for verification of performance records in construction have many problems according to construction firm's participating in some of the processes. This study analyzed about current processes and provided improved processes with IDEF method. As the result of this study, it was found that 'As-Is' model has many repetition of activities and 'To-Be' model has three times more effective than 'As-Is' model has. The data modeling which is available for 'To-Be' model was also suggested.

  • There are many participants in the construction industry compare to other industry, and its productivity is lower than other industry. Therefore this study has understood that BIM (Building Information Modeling) may contribute to the improvement in the productivity at construction sites, and I wish to suggest a BIM application process suitable for the construction industry, To achieve such goal, this study has examined the theory of BIM and has extracted the subjects to be improved through the analysis of the existing construction process, and has suggested the BIM application process to resolve issues of improvement. And to evaluate the application of the improved process, a case study was conducted with the application of commercialized BIM related software. The possibility of application of BIM model in the construction industry, and its influence and the subjects to be resolved, with the application of BIM in Korea, were able to be confirmed. I wish this study may contribute to the application of BIM in the Korean construction industry.

  • The processes for management of historical data in construction have many problems according to construction firm$^{\circ}{\phi}$s participating in some of the processes. This study analyzed about current process and provided improved processes with IDEF method and simulation. The proposed $\lceil$To-Be$\rfloor$ model is more effective than $\lceil$As-Is$\rfloor$ model according to the result of simulation performance. It is revealed that the productivity in the construction company is more improved than that of the owner from the results of the system simulation.

  • Construction program management requires more systematic management than traditional management methods due to the complexity of the project and various stakeholders. In particular, the systematization of closure phase of the process is in urgent need as there is a difference between the owner's expectations and the contractor's deliverables, resulting in delayed handovers, conflicts, frictions, and increased legal disputes. This study identified the process and activities of closure phase through domestic and international literature and case studies for the successful closure of the construction program. Further, the proposed processes and activities were verified through expert verification for appropriateness and the possibility of application to the site. By utilizing the processes and activities proposed in this study, the project aims to overcome the limits of closure phase and improve the satisfaction of the owner, as well as to enhance the global competitiveness of domestic construction companies.

  • Judging from the past cases, the contractor has frequently suffered losses caused by disapproved requests or reduced payments since it has not known the conditions of the contract or it has filed a claim to the owner without any proper claim system. Therefore, the existing claim process needs to be reformed. In order to reform the claim process, the contractor should consolidate the organizational structure, grant accurate duty assignments to the claims manager, implement regular staff training on how to deal with claims. In addition to this reformation, the contractor needs to improve the management of construction period and process control, and manage related documents thoroughly. Regular meetings are also necessary in claims. This study attempts to prove the effectiveness of the reformed process applied to Project "A", where the owner was responsible for the delayed supply of materials, inaccurate oral instructions, insufficient information on the work, and frequent changes of design. The project was completed in 96 months, which was extended by 34 months from the initial construction period of 62 months. The reformed claim process is expected to be of great help not only to largescale construction works but also to smallscale ones.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the process to support and evaluate experts' decision making on vertical transportation planning in high-rise building constructions. Experts generally carry out the vertical transportation planning by heuristic methods, so there is a possibility that their decisions failed. The failure of the vertical transportation planning can be result in much loss of time and cost. The process presented in this paper evaluates experts' alternatives, organizes the results of the vertical transportation plan, and then leads to the systematic flow of materials and crews.

  • As management is becoming a focus of a construction industry, conprehensive construction management is needed. Thus a plan of improving a design work process for developing design work capacity is proposed. The plan of improving a design work process based on a information flow for decision makings is expected to be a good ground material of not only smooth communication among stakeholders and information tracing, but also effective management of whole process. • There are many problems such as uncertainty of sequencing and irrational interdependence of processes in work breakdown structure of construction project. This study suggests work structuring for improving work reliability and transparency of processes to solve problems of work breakdown structure. Also, It proposes a process design diagram The goal of improving process design by work structuring is to make work flow more reliable and quick while delivering value to the customer. The process design diagram aims at achieving lean project objectives, such as, reduction in the share of non-value adding activities, increased transparency, process simplification and increased product flexibility.
