Comparative study of class and division classification for the civil engineering field in a library classification system (토목공학분야 문헌정보분류법의 류.강체계 비교분석)

  • A library for the civil engineering field goes on increasing in quantity because of the growth in construction technology and the enlargement in applicable fields of civil engineering. Most of libraries and information centers in construction companies are using Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) or Korean Decimal Classification (KDC) to classify a library in civil engineering field. It is necessary for the library classification system to be equipped with a more standardized code system, which corresponds to the academical and technical classification for the civil engineering works. This study analyzes the defects of existing classification systems, and then suggests a new classes and divisions classification system, which facilitates to link academic information with technical data, for the civil engineering field. The proposed system is expected to make practical application of information classification system in the construc ion industry and to be applied for the revised edition of KDC.

  • 메가프로젝트(Mega-Project)는 다양한 유형의 시설군을 복합 개발하는 건설사업으로서 규모가 크고 복잡한 경우가 많기 때문에 종합적인 사업관리에 어려움이 따른다. 따라서 메가프로젝트는 기존의 단위프로젝트 수준이 아닌 프로그램 수준에서의 관리체계를 필요로 하며 그에 적합한 업무분류체계(WBS)를 구축해야 한다. 업무분류체계는 사업관리를 위한 전체적인 구조를 수립하는 기반으로서, 현재 프로그램 관리 수준의 업무분류체계의 기준이 갖추어지지 않은 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 메가프로젝트를 위한 업무분류체계기준(WBS Basis)를 개발하여 메가프로젝트의 업무분류체계 구축을 지원하고자 한다. 메가프로젝트 생애주기에 포함되는 전체 시설군, 업무 및 용역, 기록문서, 정보 등을 대상으로 하였으며, 기존 사례분석과 관련 분류체계들을 바탕으로 초안을 작성하였다. 이후 현장시험을 통한 검증을 거쳐 최종 업무분류체계기준을 완성하였고 분류내용과 활용방안을 소개한다.

  • The construction industry has a structure in which information asymmetry problems are complexly scattered compared to other industries. Since the construction industry classification system serves as a guideline for entering the construction market and can provide as a standard for construction consumers to select a supplier who can provide appropriate services, when judging the operation purpose or purpose of the construction industry registration system, it is very important to set up the system by rationally reviewing it. The purpose of this study is to examine the possibility of improvement in consideration of the risk factors related to the domestic construction industry registration industry classification system. To this end, we will conduct a case study on the construction industry classification system operated by overseas construction industry licenses or registration systems in Japan, the United States, and Australia, and compare it with the domestic industry classification system to derive implications and directions for improvement.

  • 최근 건설 분야의 정보화 기술이 발달함에 따라 건설생애(Life Cycle) 과정에서 파생되는 방대한 양의 정보를 수집·가공·축적·제공 하는 시스템이 급증하는 추세이다. 특히, 건설공사의 주요요소인 자재 정보를 제공하는 Web 기반 온라인 시스템만 현재 110여개 이상으로 토목·건축·설비·소방 분야에 이르기까지 매우 다양하다. 그러나 이러한 시스템에서 제공 중인 정보가 표준화 및 정형화 되지 않아 건설현장 실무자들의 정보 획득에 있어 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 정형화되고 표준화된 건설자재정보를 제공하기 위해 건설자재 분류체계를 정의하고 건설자재 속성정보를 정형화하여 자재별 분류체계검색, 통합검색, 카테고리검색 뿐만 아니라 전자카탈로그로 변환 및 생성이 가능한 건설자재정보 관리 시스템을 설계 및 구현 하였다.

  • 우리 나라의 건설산업은 건설시장 개방으로 외국기업과의 경쟁체제 돌입이 불가피하고, 건설정책과 각종 행정규제의 급변으로 대응전략 수립이 불가피하다. 또한, 건설정보의 지식관리체제의 부재와 건설지식관리시스템의 미구축, 그리고 정보 공유와 공공정보 공개 마인드의 미성숙으로 인하여 적극적인 대처가 불가능한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 건설업체, 설계사무소, 감리업체 등이 안고 있는 제반 현황을 고찰하여 건설지식관리시스템 구현방안을 제시 이를 건설지식관리시스템에 적용하여 국내 건설분야 건설지식 맵을 도출하고 환용 실태를 파악하고, 해외 파국에서 지식관리의 활용관련 자료를 분석하여 국제기준 및 국내 건설환경에 적합한 지식 맵 및 분류체계 적용한 시스템 개발 건설업체에 적용하였다.

A Study on Building Method of the Construction Industry Thesaurus Using Facet Analysis Method (패싯 분석 기법을 활용한 건설 시소러스 구축 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Traditionally, the construction industry field is one of the typical fields using facet analysis method. Internationally the facet analysis method is applied to the classification scheme "Uniclass" or thesaurus "Construction Industry Thesaurus(CIT)". In the case of Korea, the facet analysis method is being used in classification scheme "Construction Industry Classification System" but it is difficult to find studies on facet analysis method in thesaurus or building case study. This study aims to establish facet types by introducing building of thesaurus for information retrieval in construction field using facet analysis method and to suggest building plan of thesaurus in construction field using facet analysis method. In this paper, We establish the 11 top facets(agent/patient, artifacts, abstract, material, parts/component, works, attribute, media, process, space, time) and the 13 subfacet as rudimental facets and suggest building plan according to thesaurus building procedure which is suggested by International Standard(ISO 25964-1). The result of this study is expected to apply to facet based thesaurus. And it is also expected to reuse in Taxonomy or Ontology etc. and to use in interoperability with the classification scheme of Construction filed.

  • KM(Knowledge Management) is factor more paradigm of period than survival factor. Stewart, Sveiby etc., a scholar was Present to definition, knowledge classification and measurement method. KMS(Knowledge Management System) was made by scholar theory. But, it is hardly adapt to construction industry. Because it is have property that construction industry have one product, recieve-industry etc. Therefore, we must knowledge classification and measurement method that property of construction industry. So, we can effectively manage to knowledge of construction industry. And, knowledge of construction industry will evaluate according to property. Measure method of construction company will find through benchmarking that measure method of construction company is analyze to case.

  • Standardization to information attribute of construction material is continuous demanded through the life cycle of a construction project, and the productivity elevation is derived of contribution effect in construction market. This study surveyed the means of acquisition and attribute of information to a staff in purchase, which are effected on the revitalization of information circulation to the construction material Proposed the standardization to information attribute of construction material that is based on improvement and application to the information attribute. And information attribute is classified with construction process through analysis on test list of quality certification. This study also suggested representative attribute of quality information, for the elevation of safety and quality in construction industry. Therefore, logicality of common information is based by analysis of mathematical statistics, systemicity of quality information is applied by MasterFormat(2004)

  • The industry is becoming more competitive and it is essential for any organization to continuously improve in order to stay competitive. As an effort to increase their technical and managenial capabilities, many organizations have been trying to adobt 'new knowledge' coming out of research and implementing it to their business processes. It is a common belif that tins theme of 'Knowledge Management' is helpful in keeping organizations healthy and competitive. This study was performed in the context of 'Knowledge Management'. This paper will describe the development process of the CII Knowledge Structure which was developed by CII to help its member organizations become incresingly 'knowlege-oriented'. The CII Knowldege Structure systematically organizes 'knowledge' that has been produced from various CII Research. Structure and contents of the CII Knowledge Structure and the implications of development of the Knowledge Structure will also be discussed in this paper.

  • In this study, the information breakdown structure of water purification plant has been made by classifying various the water purification methods and facilities. this can be utilized as a code system of computer for integrating information and analyzing quantitative of environmental impact and calculating cost of maintenance and energy consumption which was used during life cycle of water purification plant. Since the construction information contains many heterogeneous information, it is very important to have a code system for managing the integrated information. In addition, since water purification plant facilities are mainly composed of installation of facilities including many processes, a more detailed classification code is required. Therefore, in this study, the water purification breakdown structure which is not yet attempted in Korea was constructed by using facet classification system.
