  • In this paper, the electromagnetic wave transmittance of the reinforced concrete structure wall was analyzed using the performance measurement system of electromagnetic wave shielding. Recently, electromagnetic wave shielding technologies on the reinforced concrete wall conditions have been studied, and the shielding effectiveness have been tested on unit cell size. However, the unit cell size tests have problems on that the measurement range for shielding performance is insufficient and it is difficult to reflect the real conditions of the concrete wall. Therefore, we constructed a shielding performance measurement system using a large sample of 2.2m × 2.2m like a real wall. To verify the measurement system, general reinforced concrete test samples were selected, and real shielding performance measurements and numerical analysis were proceeded. Test and numerical analysis results showed similar tendencies in the evaluation frequency range of 75MHz to 2GHz. Thus we validated the effectiveness of this shielding performance measurement system.

  • The present study investigates NOx-removal and sound-absorption performances of photocatalytic porous concrete prepared by various TiO2 application methods. Photocatalytic porous concrete samples were prepared by one of the following: 1) mechanically mixing TiO2 during casting; 2) mixing bottom ash aggregate pretreated with TiO2 during casting; and 3) spraying TiO2 solution to the normally fabricated porous concrete. The test results indicated that the mechanical mixing of TiO2 decreased the compressive strength as the added TiO2 content increased. The use of pretreated bottom ash aggregate reduced the porosity, yet the compressive strength of the concrete was similar to that measured from the former method. Porous concrete samples sprayed with the TiO2 solution exhibited enhanced compressive strength, while the porosity was analogous to those measured from other methods. The NOx-removal performance was the highest in the samples sprayed with the TiO2 solution, followed by the samples using pretreated bottom ash aggregate and mechanically mixed TiO2. The samples with mechanically mixed TiO2 identified a relationship between soundabsorption performance and porosity. However, no particular tendency was observable in the samples with other TiO2 application methods.

  • In the United States and Japan ITS device performance test-beds have been widely developed to enhance the reliability of traffic information and to expedite the standardization of components for securing the compatibility of device. In this study the selection criteria for developing ITS device performance test-bed are investigated by analyzing the cases and studies of overseas. Based on the criteria, a test-bed is developed and test-run. The importance of developing ITS device performance test-bed was identified as the result of reviewing the test run of each selection.

  • The present study introduces a calibration method of the CSC model implemented in the LS-DYNA program for considering the material properties of ultra-high performance concrete(UHPC). Based on previous experimental studies, various parameters, which constitute three shear failure surfaces, pressure-volumetric strain curve, fracture energy, dynamic increase factor(DIF), and so on, are modified. Then, the proposed calibration method is verified by comparing the numerical result with the experimental data through the single element analysis. In addition, based on the established finite element models, the applicability of the calibrated CSC model is examined for UHPC structures subjected to impact and blast loadings.

  • The construction is the industry with the highest fatalities, and the fatalities has not decreased despite various institutional improvements. Accordingly, real-time safety management by applying artificial intelligence (AI) to CCTV images is emerging. Although some research on worker detection by applying AI to images of construction sites is being conducted, there are limitations in performance expression due to problems such as complex background due to the nature of the construction industry. In this study, the YOLO model and the OpenPose model were fused to improve the performance of worker detection and posture estimation to improve the detection performance of workers in various complex conditions. This is expected to be highly useful in terms of unsafe behavior and health management of workers in the future.

  • Inter-floor noise in an apartment building is a serious problem that causes conflicts between tenants. Accordingly, there are various attempts to solve this problem, but it is not easy to find a clear solution. Therefore, in this study, a soundproofing material between floors was developed that can improve the sagging that occurs after construction. And as a result of testing the developed interlayer soundproofing material, both light weight and weight were grade 1. And it was analyzed that maintenance performance could be improved with integrated structural characteristics.
