The $Mer{\aa}ker$ TBM Project in Norway (노르웨이 메로케르 수력발전소의 TBM 굴착)

  • This paper presents an article explaining a TBM project overall in Norway. The paper which published in Norwegian TBM Tunnelling by Norwegian Soil and Rock Eng. Assoc. in 1998, contains most of the items considered in TBM tunnelling. New powerplants, tunnels and dams have been built at Meraker in Central Norway. A total of 44 km of tunnels with cross sections varying from $7\;m^2\;to\;32\;m^2$ have been excavated in hard rock formation. Tunnel of 10 km with the 3.5 m diameter was excavated by a HP TBM in a year. his project gives the special attention to the TBM drive and equipment selection, including planning, site organization and performance.

  • 국내의 지중케이블 시스템은 1970년대 154kV급 OF케이블이 도입된 이래로 현재까지 345kV급 OF/XLPE 케이블을 이용한 지중송전선로가 운영 중에 있으며, 도심지역의 전력공급을 위해 지중송전선로의 건설비중이 점차 증가하고 있다. 그러나 지중송전 계통에서 고장발생시 사회적 파장이 크고 가공송전선로에 비교할 때 복구에 대단히 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되므로 설비의 안전운전 및 장기신뢰성의 확보가 반드시 필요하다. 따라서 지중송전계통의 현장 조건을 고려한 실증시험장 구축의 필요성이 대두되어, 한국전력공사에서 정부의 인프라구축 지원사업으로 초고압 지중케이블에 대한 국제품질 공신력 확보 및 최적운영기술을 확보하기 위하여 장기 신뢰성 시험이 가능한 설비와 국제적 규모의 실증시험장을 구축하였다. 아울러 2011년 3월에는 ISO/IEC 17025에 따른 국제공인시험기관 자격을 취득하여, 국내외에서 제작되는 초고압 케이블에 대한 국제 공인시험이 가능하게 되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 한국전력공사 고창전력시험센터 내에 구축된 지중케이블 시험장 및 장기신뢰성 시험설비에 대한 소개와 더불어 국제표준에 따른 공인시험방안과 현재까지 지중케이블 시험장에서 수행된 케이블 시험에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

  • Recently, cabled-suspension bridges and suspension bridge have been increasingly built in korea. But such structures were often damaged by fire due to car collison. In this study, the cabled-suspension bridges constructed under the kind of the project of national road aggrandizement are modeled using Solid Works 2007. The COSMOS FloWorks 2007 software are used for Heat Transfer Analysis and Thermal Stress Analysis. The safety of wire, HDPE pipe and stainless steel pipe are investigated. The major variables for the analysis are the temperature of the heat source, the distance between the fire-proof bulk head and the heat source, wind velocity, and the height of the end of Stainless steel pipe.

  • According to the 4th BPE(Basic Plan for long-term Electricity Supply and Demand), Electricity demand of Jeju island in 2012 will be reached to 682MW. Jeju island will be faced with severe shortage of electricty, also needed to find transport route to supply green energy which will be made from "Carbon free island" energy policy toward land at that time. For that reason, The plan which construct 400MW size HVDC connection line was decided for potential supply stabilization and transportation of green energy. KEPCO organized special construction office not only to observe the successful project completion which aims 2011 December but also to build up professional manpower. KEPCO is putting spur to the HVDC project these days. Construction site of converter stations has been already confirmed and contracts of cable, converter have done as per turn-key early this year. On this report, we would like to discuss about project scheme, main characteristics of system, and the furture progress plan of "Jindo~Jeju HVDC construction project expecially converter station part" which is being pushed by KEPCO.

  • According to the enforcement of various laws for the ubiquitous city, the convergence technologies for the ubiquitous in the industry has been emerging. In this paper, we propose a method for the ubiquitous convergence technology by a functional integration of the public employment of the physical space and physical facilities, as the related laws are enforced and the city development plan is processed in the situation which constructs the ubiquitous and eco-city. We also present a scheme for the establishment to prepare the foundation of systematization, standardization, and information-oriented by providing an application example for the common-use-channel and unification IP pool based on the proposed method.

  • 이동의 편리함과 주행안정성을 주기 위해 개발된 도로가 소음을 발생시켜 운전자 및 소비자의 쾌적성을 저해하는 요소로 작용하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 연도거리확보 또는 방음벽 등의 소음억제 방법을 사용하고 있으나 미관을 저해하고 용지사용이 비효율적이어서 외국의 경우 저소음 포장 연구를 통한 근본적은 소음 발생원을 차단하기 위한 노력이 진행되고 있다. 국내에서도 신도시 개발 등으로 도로건설에 따른 급속한 교통량 증가 및 차량의 고속주행으로 인하여 도시소음의 주요인으로 부각되고 있고 시민들의 높은 생활수준과 소음 환경에 대한 기본생활권 추구 성향이 증대되어 지역 주민의 교통소음 저감 대책 및 보상에 대한 법적 소송이 빈번히 발생하고 있어 차량 주행 소음 저감을 위한 방법으로 방음벽 설치가 널리 사용되고 있으나 이는 경제적 손실뿐만 아니라 도시미관을 해치는 문제가 발생하고 있다. 도로사업의 환경성 강화는 국토해양부의 2009년 주요도로정책 중 하나일 정도로 국가정책의 중요한 지침으로써, 향후 추진되는 신도시 및 단지조성공사 시 도로 환경성과 소음, 진동, 그리고 생태통로에 대한 친환경 도로설계 및 시공 등에 적절히 대응하기 위하여 교통소음을 개선하기 위해서는 교통소음 발생 요소를 파악하고 신도시 및 단지조성시 주변도로에 친환경적 포장공법 설계기술의 개발 및 적용을 위한 단계적 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 친환경 저소음 포장공법의 종류에 대하여 알아보고자 한다.

  • In many countries of the world, cultural activities are introduced as a popular means of promoting local economies and identities. In many places of Japan, a traditional cultural activity, "Machtskuri" (meaning "Vilige Making," literally) has been practiced in the past several decades. A small town, Nagahama of Shiga Prefecture, with 50,000 people, started restoring an old castle and historical build, art exibition, traditional fashion festivals, etc. Based on the successful experience from the cultural activities, community leaders of Nagahama made success in creating other projects, such as construction of a baseball stadium, a hotel and a community college. It can be concluded that Nagahama has been successful in creating making the place famious and the people confident.

  • 한국천문연구원의 대형광학망원경 개발사업(K-GMT)의 세 가지 세부 목표 중 GMT 망원경 건설 후 GMT 망원경 활용 극대화가 그 하나이며 이 목표를 달성하기 위한 두 부류의 큰 활동이 이루어지고 있다. 첫째, 국내 전문가로 구성된 과학.기기 워킹그룹(Science Instrument Working Group)은 한국천문학계 연구역량강화 프로그램을 준비하고 시행하고 있으며 2012년 K-GMT 여름학교를 개최할 예정이다. 둘째, 천문연은 2개의 핵심연구주제를 선정하고 2011년부터 학계와 공동으로 pilot 연구를 수행하고 있다. 이 학연공동연구에서는 AAT를 이용한 남반구 별탄생영역 관측, CFHT를 이용한 은하단/은하군 관측을 수행하였고 2012년엔 UKIRT 망원경을 이용하여 우리은하평면의 [FeII] 서베이 관측 등을 수행할 계획이다.

  • PURPOSES : Efficiency Improvement of a public road construction project management work using the development of a real-time remote site monitoring system METHODS : In this study, we developed the remote site monitoring system using a web camera for road construction projects in the RCMA(Regional Construction Management Administration). We can be monitored a construction progress and a weak point of the situation in real time using this. To achieve this, we tested about 10 road construction projects ordered by RCMA. Then, we verified a applicability for the site monitoring system in future. RESULTS : Take advantage of the remote site monitoring system consists of the Construction CALS System, one of the business systems used in the part of the MLTM(Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs) institution-agencies. Was configured to be served through the "Construction CALS System" of "Construction Management System(Contractors)" and the "Construction CALS Portal System". Through this, Benefit analysis through a pilot application of the 10 road construction sites and developing considerations and "Guide for visual information processing equipment installation-operating in construction sites"are presented. CONCLUSIONS : Through the establishment of remote site monitoring system can improve the efficiency of construction management services. In addition, Various disasters and calamities, accidents and illegal construction will be prevented in advance is expected. This is expected to further improve the quality of the facilities.

Experimental Study on Synthetic Fiber Filled Channel for Treating Turbid Water at the Construction Sites and Protecting Drain System (합성섬유 충진 여과수로를 이용한 건설사업장의 흙탕물 처리 및 배수구 보호에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In order to cope with the new and strict government regulations for turbid water discharge from construction sites, this study tested whether synthetic fiber filters can replace conventional best management practices. The filter efficiency was about 10 to 60% with a varying filter depth of 5 to 15cm, presuming extreme storm flow conditions to be in the range of 800 to 1500m/day of filtration rates. Fiber filter acts exactly like a granular filter, i.e. the separation efficiency is directly and inversely proportional to filter depth and rate, respectively. Based on the operational data, we suggested the Log-Log design relationship, which can be used to determine the filter depth and area. Compared to the widely used gravel filter which treats the turbid water at the construction site, about 20% higher efficiency was obtained under similar operating conditions. Cleaning the filter through a simple hand-washing method at the time of break-through, achieved about 90% soil recovery.
