편대비행 위성간 거리변화 및 외력과의 관계식 연구

  • 최근에 발사되어 임무를 수행중인 GRACE(Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment) 위성사업은 편대비행하는 두 개의 저궤도 위성 간 거리를 측정하여 지구중력장을 관측하는 연구인데, 여기에 사용되는 위성간 거리측정기 성능분석을 위한 기본연구단계로, 해석식을 이용하여 외력과 위성간 거리변화와의 관계를 연구하였다. 원궤도에 근접한 궤도를 비행하는 위성의 운동은 Hill's 방정식을 사용하여 나타낼 수 있는데, 이로부터 위성에 가해지는 외력에 의한 위성의 운동 관계식을 얻을 수 있다. (중략)

Estimation of Displacements and Velocities of Objects from Soccer Image Sequences (축구 영상 시퀀스로부터 물체 이동거리와 속도 측정)

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm which estimates the displacements and velocities of objects in the soccer field from the soccer image sequences. Assuming the time interval of an object movement is given, we transform the object positions into those in the soccer field model and compute the distance and the velocity. When four corresponding pairs of the feature points, such as the crossing points of the lines in the soccer field, exist and three of them are not on a line, we transform the object positions in the soccer image into those in the soccer field by using the perspective displacement field model. In addition, when the soccer image has less than four feature points, we first transform the object positions into those in the image which has more than four feature points, and then transform the positions into those in the soccer field again. To find the coordinate transformation between two images, we estimate the panning and zooming for consecutive images in the sequence. In the experimental results, we quantitatively evaluated the estimation accuracy by applying our algorithm to the synthetic. soccer image sequences generated by graphic tools, and applied it to the real soccer image sequences for broadcasting to show its usefulness.

The Effect of the Distance Between $CO_2$ Agent Nozzle and Wall ($CO_2$소화제 노즐과 벽간 거리의 영향)

  • We have conducted a numerical simulation under three-dimensional unsteady conditions in order to analyze the effect of flow and CO₂ mass transfer according to the distance between the CO₂ nozzle of CO₂ fire fighting system and the rear wall in a protection space. Flow fields and CO₂ concentration fields were measured. The different recirculation flow form and wall jet was developed according to increasing the distance between CO₂ nozzles and rear wall. In all the case, CO₂ mass transfer was generated toward the center of a protection space from each walls, but the CO₂ mass fraction of front and rear areas based on CO₂ nozzles showed higher or lower by increasing the distance between CO₂ nozzle and rear wall.

  • In this paper, we propose a near-field range estimation method for a uniform linear array that can calibrate bearing estimation error which give a bad influence on a range estimation process. When a range is fixed, the bearing error is calibrated to maximize the beamformer output by the proposed algorithm based on the gradient method. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can compensate the bearing error which is less than the mainlobe beamwidth so that reduce the range estimation error as similar as the case of no bearing error.

우주거리척도(Cosmic Distance Scale)로 사용되는 식쌍성 I. 알골형 식쌍성을 이용하여 측정한 거리

  • 천체의 거리는 다양한안 방법을 사용하여 직접 혹 간접적으로 측정되어왔다. 특히 우주배경복사를 측정하는 인공위성 관측의 정밀도가 혁명적으로 향상됨에 따라 우주의 나이는 수 % 이내의 정밀도로 결정할 수 있는 수준으로 발전하였다. 우주의 규모가 구체적으로 정의되는 가운데 우주의 절대적인 크기를 제시하기 위하여 천체의 거리를 측정하는데 사용되는 표준등불로 세페이드 변광성 이외에 식쌍성이 새롭게 대두되었다. 이 논문에서는 식쌍성이 거리척도의 표준등불이 될 수 잇는지 검증하기 위하여 광도곡선과 시선속도곡선이 잘 알려진 알골형 쌍성 식쌍성 RY Aqr, RX Gem, RS Vul을 선정하여 거리를 산출하였다. 별을 선정한 기준은 2색 이상의 광도곡선이 발표되고, 이중 분광쌍성으로 시선속도곡선이 각 성분별로 잘 관측되어 발표되고, IUE 관측 자료가 있는 알골형 쌍성이다. 거리 산출과정에서 간접적으로 유추하여 얻는 인자를 줄이기 위하여, 광도곡선으로부터 별의 상대적인 크기를 구하고, 시선속도곡선으로부터 공전궤도의 장반경을 구하고, 별의 에너지 분포 곡선으로부터 별의 온도를 측정하였다. 위 3종류의 관측 결과를 종합하여 식쌍성의 물리적 인자와 거리를 구하였다. 이와 같은 방법으로 구한 거리는 히파크러스를 이용하여 관측한 시차와 비교하였다.

A Modeling about Penetration Behavior of Diesel Engine Liquid Fuel Spray (디젤기관의 분무선단 도달거리에 관한 모델링)

  • The study on the penetration of sprays during the initial phase of injection period, i.e. ignition delay period, in high speed small D.I. diesel engines are strongly affected by such behavior. To investigate the penetration of the sprays injected through single cylinderical orifice, a mathematical model was developed and compared with experimental results. In this model, radial heterogeneity of fuel density in the spray, transiency of injection pressure difference, and spray outrunning phenomenon were considered simultaneously. Experiments on the behaviors of sprays in the high pressure air chamber were conducted at various injection pressure differences and different levels of back air pressure. The behaviors of sprays injected into the chamber through the conventional Bosch injection pump were visualized with side stroboscopic illumination. Comparison of the experimental results with predictions from the mathematical model confirmed the validity of the model. It was also found that during the initial phase of the injection period the penetration of sprays vs. time appeared to have two transition points; one corresponded to disintegration point of liquid fuel jet, the other to the beginning of steady state injection.

Topology Optimization based on Monte Carlo Analysis (몬테카를로 해석 기반 확률적 위상최적화)

  • In this paper, we take into account topology optimization problems considering spatial randomness in the material property of elastic modulus. Based on 88 lines MATLAB Code, Monte Carlo analysis has been performed for MBB(messerschmidt-$b{\ddot{o}}lkow$-blohm) model using 5,000 random sample fields which are generated by using the spectral representation scheme. The random elastic modulus is assumed to be Gaussian in the spatial domain of the structure. The variability of the volume fraction of the material, which affects the optimum topology of the given problem, is given in terms of correlation distance of the random material. When the correlation distance is small, the randomness in the topology is high and vice versa. As the correlation distance increases, the variability of the volume fraction of the material decreases, which comply with the feature of the linear static analysis. As a consequence, it is suggested that the randomness in the material property is need to be considered in the topology optimization.

  • 농촌진흥청 축산과학원(원장 이상진)은 농장에서 계란을 출하할 때 집하장까지 운송에 소요되는 시간과 온도에 따른 품질을 조사한 결과, 운송시간이 짧고, 운송온도가 낮을수록 계란의 신선도가 높은 것으로 나타났다고 밝혔다. 계란은 작은 중량임에도 불구하고 병아리를 탄생시킬 수 있는 완전영양소를 갖고있기 때문에 요즘과 같이 온도가 높아지는 시기에는 달걀 내부의 호흡작용과 수분증발에 의해 계란의 품질이 현저히 나빠질 수 있다. 시험에 의하면 계란은 운송거리가 5km이내일 때에는 상온 운송차량과 $4^{\circ}C$ 냉장차량에서 계란의 신선도(Haugh unit)에는 차이가 없었으나, 운송거리가 100km이상에서는 냉장운송을 하지 않으면 신선도가 4배 이상 현저하게 낮아졌다. 또한, 난각의 총 미생물 수에서도 운송거리가 5km이내에서는 운송차량의 온도에 따른 차이가 없었으나, 100km이상 운송 시에는 냉장을 하지 않은 계란이 냉장계란에 비하여 2배 정도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 농촌진흥청 축산과학원 유영모 박사는 "계란이 농장에서 판매장까지 복잡한 경로를거쳐 유통되는 경우가 많은데, 요즘과 같은 고온기에는 계란의 신선도를 유지하는 냉장유통이 필요하며, 특히 여름철 장거리 운송 시에는 냉장차량을 이용하는 것이 계란의 신선도를 유지하는데 중요하다"고 말했다.

A Theoretical Study on a Weight per Delay (지발당 장약량에 대한 이론적 연구)

  • The blasting vibration prediction in Korea is mainly carried out by the scaled distance method. The delay interval of the scaled distance method is generally considered to be 8ms, where the effect of vibration between adjacent holes is not included. In this study, the origin and issues of 8ms criterion are reviewed from literatures and Langefors' 2.5T criterion is applied to evaluate the applicabilities of 8ms, 17ms and 25ms intervals in which a vibration does not affect an adjacent hole.

Consideration on Limitations of Square and Cube Root Scaled Distances in Controled Blast Design (제어발파설계에서 자승근 및 삼승근 환산거리 기법의 적용한계에 대한 고찰)

  • Blast design equations based on the concept of scaled distances can be obtained from the statistical analysis on measured peak particle velocity data of ground vibrations. These equations represents the minimum scale distance of various recommendations for safe blasting. Two types of scaled distance widely used in Korea are the square root scaled distance (SRSD) and cube root scaled distance (CRSD). Thus, the design equations have the forms of $D/\sqrt{W}{\geq}30m/kg^{1/2}$ and $D/\sqrt[3]{W}{\geq}60m/kg^{1/3}$ in the cases of SRSD and CRSD, respectively. With these equations and known distance, we can calculate the maximum charge weight per delay that can assure the safety of nearby structures against ground vibrations. The maximum charge weights per delay, however, are in the orders of $W=O(D^2)$ and $W=O(D^3)$ for SRSD and CRSD, respectively. So, compared with SRSD, the maximum charge for CRSD increases without bound especially after the intersection point of these two charge functions despite of the similar goodness of fits. To prevent structural damage that may be caused by the excessive charge in the case of CRSD, we suggest that CRSD be used within a specified distance slightly beyond the intersection point. The exact limit is up to the point, beyond which the charge difference of SRSD and CRSD begins to exceed the maximum difference between the two within the intersection point.
