The aim of this article is to examine the role of Gyeonggi Province in the industrial development in the Republic of Korea by taking a case study of the program of the national innovative cluster (NIC). In such program which has been for the purpose of the regional industrial development for non-Seoul metropolitan regions (N-SMRs) since 2018, the total firms' transactions were highly focused upon Gyeonggi Province and other Seoul metropolitan regions (SMRs). Especially, firms' transactions in 5 clusters of the total 14 clusters concentrated on Gyeonggi Province. Within this context, the future direction of this policy program for the regional industrial development and the national balanced development is more focused upon a win-win strategy between the SMR and N-SMRs rather than the dichotomy between them.

This paper is concerned with the relationships between large firms with global reaches in their markets and subcontracting firms, mostly small and medium-sized firms. It then attempts to focus in more detail on the dynamic relational dimensions between the two. In doing so, we draw upon the secondary data and the results of interviewing survey with some senior managers. The empirical study shows that the localisation of subcontracting networks have been increasingly reinforced thanks to the increasing tendency of vertical disintegration by LC. However, it is identified that there is a tendency that local subcontractors are specialised in producing relatively low value-added and low technology-intensive electronic parts/components. Based on these results, the author suggests the implications of regional economic development in the context of innovation and learning.

This paper studies the introduction of flood quota system for efficient flood prevention. In the present system where local governments decide its flood prevention independently, the optimal flood prevention in a river basin can not be achieved. Thus, the flood quota system is necessary. In deciding the flood quota for each local government in a river basin, its social and economic characteristics as well as geographical feature of the area should be considered. In order to promote the cooperation among local governments in a river basin, the flood quota is necessary to be accompanied with the trading system of the quota.

This paper empirically examines how capital structure inertia varies across industries and there is different in industries, and whether this fact is explained by product market competition using non-financial firms listed in KOSP market over periods of 1981 to 2015. In empirical test, I find that firms with more competition environment tend to have inertia behavior in making decision of capital structure. This implies that it is explained by debt discipline effect and it is substitution for product market competitions. Also I find that manager tends to take action actively making decision of capital structure when product market competition is low. Also I show that they use debt to constraint the free cash flow. As a result, I conclude that Korean non-financial firms do not have more strong inertia behavior in capital structure rather than U.S. firms. Second, using OLS estimation, inertia effect disappears while there is strong inertia effect in relationship between inertia and product market competition. This result suggests that transaction cost is not key factor in explaining inertia behavior of capital structure.

This study aims to examine how institutions has been formed to deepen interdependence and to keep check in trade on the border regions of East Sea Rim between the macro structure and micro behaviors. The transitional nations such as China, Russia, and North Korea adjacent to the East Sea Rim exhibits unique characteristics in terms of transaction governance structure. While the regional economy in northeast China is still overwhelmed by the stated-owned enterprises(SOEs), it strongly encourages the private economic trade to form institutional economy through the border trade port and peddler trade market. Thus trade is shaped by the mixed governance. In far east Russia, whereas the SOEs are in charge of exporting oil, gas etc., private firms and small scale traders are importing household items, so that it can also be called as the mixed governance, while informal social networks simultaneously work. In North Korea, for the trade, since the firms are mainly required to have the permits from the different levels of government, it is regarded as the hierarchical governance. The institutional economics seems to well explain the changing agencies and their influence on the trade among the regions in the East Sea Rim.

농촌지역에서는 서로 믿고 거래하다 보니 구두나 계약서 한 장으로 거래가 끝나고 등기를 하지 않는 경우가 많다. 하지만 일정시한이 지난 후까지 등기를 하지 않으면 소유권을 주장하지 못해 분장이 되고 시효취득을 둘러싼 논란도 빚어진다. 이번 사건은 매매계약서를 통해 토지를 매입한 이후 등기를 하지 않아 발생한 사건이다. 그나마 40년 전의 계약서로 계약사실에 대한 입증이 가능했기에 시효취득을 원인으로 하는 소유권이전등기청구소송을 할 수 있었고, 결국에는 법원의 조정을 이끌어냈다.

In order to discuss the implications for demographic changes due to an aging society, this study sought to verify the effect of generational age with a focus on the case of the national housing scale transaction in Seoul Seocho-gu. For the result, variance and linear regression analysis, and when the analysis showed a significant correlation between age and transaction price, and corrected the trading region and year, it was also confirmed that the higher the age in most regions, the lower the trading price tendency. Based on the results of this analysis, efforts to improve the adequacy and fairness of pricing in trading cases, and the direction of policy change due to the aging of the population were discussed, and on the basis of this, we even proposed measures for the support of the policy authorities. In addition, the management condition of individual communal houses was an important factor in the sale and the lack of utilization of Internet-based platforms was expected to be the cause of the low price sale. However, due to the use of 2nd order data on real trading cases, the direction of subsequent research was presented together with respect to the limitations of not being able to control a wider variety of individual characteristics.

Firms or internal exchanges exist to eliminate or at least reduce transaction costs from the separating process in many firms by dealing more efficiently with bounded rationality, complexity, and tendency towards opportunism faced by the markets so that vertical integration is supposed to have a positive relationship with performance. The organizational structure of Korean economy in the latter part of the $20^{th}$ century is much related with this transaction costs' view. I propose to estimate the effect of vertical integration on the firm's performance using the data of the Korean listed corporations from 1991 to 1995, therefore. The estimated results show that vertical integration at firm level is negatively and significantly related with the firm's performance: the higher level of vertical integration the worse performance. However, the group level integration is not related with performance at all.
