Study on the Fuzzy Inference System for Objectivity of Ground Evaluation in Tunnelling (터널지반 평가의 객관화를 위한 퍼지추론시스템 연구)

  • This study has for its object to increase an objectivity of the observation result in the face mapping of tunnel and to suggest the reasonable support and reinforcement methods to be considered the rock properties. It was developed in this study to the tunnel stability evaluation system(Prototype NFEST) to be used fuzzy set theory and neuro-fuzzy techniques, and this system was verified according to the reliability evaluation between the 36 learning data and the inferred results. When it summarized the results; (1) 12 evaluation items and ranges were proposed to be modified basis on the RMR which are well known to the domestic workers. (2) It was shown that correlation coefficient(│R│) between $RMR_{inf}$ inferred by 12 items and $RMR_{org}$ due to arithmetic total, $RMR_{chk}$ due to subjective judgement of observer are relatively high relationship with each 0.83 and 0.79. (3) Inferred result of the total tunnel safety shows also a good relationship with $RMR_{inf}$ (│R│=0.7) and the rock weathering(│R│=0.84).

  • In these days, national R&D projects are taking major roles to strengthen national competitiveness. In order to produce successful R&D project, the most important point is objective and specialized evaluation. That means an appraisal board composed of experts in each field is necessary. But, it is very difficult to entrust experts, because of the constraints of time, space. In this paper, I describe the remote evaluation system for experts appointment, cost reduction and security enhancement.

  • 살아있는(in-vivo)실험체에서 여러 차례 획득된 영상의 관심영역 특성을 측정, 분석하기 위한 영상처리기법의 정확성은 동물을 희생시켜(in-vitro) 촬영한 영상과의 정량적 비교분석을 통해 검증할 수 있다. 하지만 육안검사에 의존한 기존 분석방법은 객관성이 떨어지는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 in-vivo영상인 PET 영상과, in-vitro영상인 Autoradiography 영상에서 관심영역 특성을 객관적, 정량적으로 비교하는 방법을 제안한다. 종양을 심은 누드마우스에 방사성 동위원소를 표지하여 획득한 이 두 영상에서 종양 조직 성장 지표가 되는 체적과 조직의 활성도를 나타내는 방사능섭취량(SUV)을 각각 측정하고 이를 비교하였다. 또한 두 영상획득의 시간차에 의해 방사성동위원소가 붕괴되어 영상 전체의 명암도가 감소하게 되므로 시간에 반비례하게 변하는 방사성동위원소의 양을 고려하여 영상명암도를 보정하였다.

Putnam and Ethics without Ontology (퍼트남의 존재론 없는 윤리학)

  • The main purpose of this paper is to examine Putnam's recent conception of ethics, and show that it gives rise to an ineluctable incoherence with his rationalism. This suggests that Putnam's philosophy has to be far more naturalized to make his new position cogent. Putnam recently has shown some explicit turn toward pragmatism a la James and Dewey under the name of "pragmatic pluralism." Putnam says that traditional ethics has presupposed some form of ontology in one way or another, which he sees is based on an unnecessary pursuit of a misleading conception of objectivity. Putnam tries to get rid of any notion of ontology in ethics, whereby we can talk about a third view which runs between traditional objectivism and nihilistic relativism. In this sense, he defines pragmatism as "fallibilism cum antiskepticism." Putnam's suggestion makes a good sense as far as it goes. However, his continuous transition toward pragmatism is critically impeded by his own adhesion to the normative conception of "reason." In this light, Putnam himself is wobbling between Kant and Dewey, just as he describes ethics is. Dewey's pragmatism does not have recourse to the very notion of reason to secure objectivity necessary to make sense of moral experience. Putnam needs to be far more naturalized to reach cogently where he espouses, and this can be done only by renouncing the normative conception of reason.

  • The Face Stimulus Assessment is an efficient projective drawing test developed by Betts. This paper categorizes scales which Betts suggested into the following five groups: accuracy of painting, color fit, perception of shape, precision of drawing, and space usage. In this paper, a computer algorithm which objectively evaluates these five scales is suggested. The proposed algorithm defines the areas of the lip, eyes, hair, etc. which take on significant roles in the evaluation of the FSA and based on these factors, it calculates the grade of each scale through the main color and color ratio. The consistency of evaluations between the computer algorithm and the art therapist is measured by the Quadratic Weighted Kappa. By providing objectivity and consistency, the computer algorithm is expected to solve the problem of uncertainty found in art therapists' evaluations of projective drawing tests caused by their subjective judgment, experience, and intuition.

  • An "admission officer system" has been introduced for the purpose of changing the paradigm from the "current admission system". This is because the current admission system mainly reflects the scholastic ability test (SAT) score regulating student selection for entering university. The admission officer system focuses on not only the students' school records but also, their potential. In addition, this system lets the university screen the students according to its own founding philosophy. One feature of the admission officer system is to cultivate men of ability by caring for the selected students consistently. Typically, students are selected by an admission officer system according to document screening which includes curriculum and non-curriculum scores, discussions, and interviews. On the other hand, the admission officer system might create a lack of objectivity in the way a student is selected because of the admission officer's own subjectivity. In this study, an algorithm in which the admission officer system can maintain the objectivity on student selection is presented. This is so that the student does not experience any disadvantage from the process of the admission officer system.

  • Achieving a certain degree of objectivity is one of main assessment priniciples to meet and self-assessment has been under-used as a formal instrument for assessing students' achievement due to lack of objectivity. Now, this research attempted to look into how students perceived self-assessment and how they engaged in the assessment process. Self-assessments and in-depth interviews with students were collected as main data sources. The results of data analysis are as follows. First, a student' perceptions of self-assessment have been observed to change over a course of a semester. Furthermore, changes in perceptions might have led students to get ownership of their learning. Conclusively, this research proposes that the research of self-assessment be accommodated into the socio-cultural context to demonstrate its desirable influence on students' learning.

A Study on The Setting of Differentiate the Score to Improve the Proper and Non-proper Judgement of HACCP Evaluation Items of Poultry Farm (닭 농장 HACCP 심사항목의 적부판정 향상을 위한 차등 점수 설정에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to improve correct judgement of HACCP evaluation items in poultry farm. The importance levels and score of each HACCP evaluation item was derived through the non-compliance rate and severity levels of hazard. The total score of HACCP evaluation items of the pre-requisite management section was 200 points and the HACCP management section was developed to have a total of 100 points. Implementation of the result of this study to poultry farm may help to produce safer and hygienic chicken and egg production. For a more objective assessment, detailed criteria should be developed according to the score of each HACCP evaluation item.

A Study on the classification of quality attributes in culinary education based on the Kano model (Kano 모델을 기반으로 한 조리교육 품질속성 분류에 관한 연구 - 전문대학, 전문학교를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the attributes of culinary educational quality by using the Kano model. This study carried out literary research and empirical analysis. Data were collected among 486 students whose major is culinary arts and analyzed with SPSS 19.0 and EXCEL 2007. It classified culinary educational quality by employing the Kano model and modified the Better and Worse quotients suggested by Timko. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that total 25 attributes could be classified into 17 Attractive quality attributes, 2 Must-be quality attributes and 6 Indifferent quality attributes, while One-dimensional quality, Reverse quality and Questionable quality attributes were not found. Second, according to the Better and Worse quotient by Timko, "Objective instructor's evaluation" item was the highest score in the Better quotient. On the other hand, the "Having foreign professors" item is the lowest in the Worse quotient. Third, marketing implications and limitations were discussed.
