The Effect of Social Influence on Users' Cognition, Flow, and Actual Usage in Web 2.0 (웹 2.0 환경에서 사회적 영향이 사용자의 인지적 평가와 몰입, 사용수준에 미치는 영향)

  • Using Technology Acceptance Model and flow theory as our foundation, this paper investigates the interrelationships among social influence, individual cognition, flow, and actual usage in the Web 2.0 environment. According to TAM, users evaluate perceived usefulness(PU) and ease of use(PEU) of information technology(IT) in accepting the innovative IT. Along with users' cognitive evaluation(i.e. PU and PEU), in case of UCC(user-created-contents), which is one of the representative Web 2.0 features, flow also has a significant effect on users' usage. Accordingly, the current study involve cognitive elements such as PU and PEU as well as flow of enjoyable state during using IT in exploring antecedents leading to UCC usage. On one hand, we consider the effect of social influence on users' cognition and flow toward actual usage because the more users creates Web contents, the more long-tail situation prevails on the Internet. Web 2.0 becomes a kind of social phenomena. The empirical results show that social influence affects positively both PU/PEU and flow. Users' cognitive evaluation and flow have positive impacts on users' UCC usage.

The Performance Appraisal Politics in Team-Based Work Systems (팀제 하에서의 정치적 성과평가)

  • The objective of the present study is to investigate the relationships among the perceptions of performance appraisal politics(POPAP)), employee's attitude to work, and team-based work system characteristics. Using survey data from various occupationally heterogeneous sample of white-collar employees(N=195) from various organizations, the results indicate that when employees perceive performance rating to be manipulated because of rater's personal bias and punishment motive, they reduce organizational commitment. Contrarily, the employees' POPAP with motivational motive increases organizational commitment. And task interdependency has positive effect on employees' POPAP.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide an empirical investigation of the effects of communicative competence on information literacy of undergraduates. The research results were found as follows; First of all, receptive competence has a significant effect on information needs, information retrieval and information evaluation. Secondly, transmission competence has a significant effect on information integration and information representation. Finally, adjustment competence has a significant effect on the overall information literacy, that is, information needs, information retrieval, information assessment, information integration, information representation and information ethics. Therefore, we can understand communicative competence has a closed relationship with information literacy.

  • Current performance evaluation of call center employees is dependent on the number of calls they have resolved, regardless of the individual and social characteristics of employees. However, since call center tasks are highly customer-oriented and emotional laborious, individual capability as well as social characteristics of employees is critical to performance. Therefore, this study analyzed the relationship between employees' individual/social characteristics and their performance. To extract individual characteristics, a repertory grid technique was employed, whereas social network analysis was conducted to extract the social characteristics of employees. Using individual and social characteristics as input variables, multiple regression was conducted to analyze the effect of each variable on performance. As a result, in-degree centrality of dining network, initiative characteristics, open characteristics, and enjoyment of studying were determined to be important variables for performance. This study is expected to be used in both performance management and human resource management of call center practices.

  • Employee's workplace satisfaction of claim adjusting company, who assesses the loss of catastrophe, have a direct influence on the loss evaluation job. Eventually their satisfaction would affect the compensation satisfaction of victims, therefore it is one of important factors for victims's compensation satisfaction. This paper analyzes empirically the determinants of employee's satisfaction to their firm for a claim adjusting company. As a result of the empirical research, it is found that the statistically significant determinant are the psychological factor, the organizational factor, and the individual factor. Among the significant factors, the psychological factor has the biggest positive factor. And the organizational factor and the individual factor is next with similar positive measurement. But the cognitive factor is not statistically significant. A claim adjusting company may use the research result for the improvement of employee's workplace satisfaction.

Viewers' Cognitions of Public Values and Their Attitudes toward Public Service Broadcasting and the License Fee (공적가치 인식에 따른 시청자 유형과 공영방송 제도 및 수신료에 대한 태도)

  • This paper examines the factors that influence viewers' attitudes toward the public service broadcasting (PSB) system and the license fee. A online survey group was classified into four types on the basis of their expectations and evaluations of public values and demographic characteristics. Subsequentially, the attitudes each type of the viewers displayed toward the PSB system and the license fee were analyzed. The result reveals that young women in their 20-40s have more negative attitudes toward the PSB system than any other groups; those women tend to have high expectations on 'diversity' whereas they show low satisfactions with all the other public values. Additionally, this study attempted to detect factors that affect the attitudes toward the PSB system and the license fee. The important factors was not only the viewers' demographic characteristics but also their expectations and evaluations regrading the public values of PSB.

  • 개인 사용자의 정보보호를 위한 키보드 타이핑 패턴 인식기를 개발한 바 있었다. 키보드 타이핑 패턴의 스케일링 방식에 따라 신경망 인식기의 성능이 차이가 있을 것이라 기대되어 본 연구에서 이를 수행하였다. 총 3 종류의 방식을 이용하여 스케일링을 하였으며, 그 영향을 인식기의 예측에러, 제 1종과 2정의 인식에러측면에서 분석하고 평가하여 최적의 스케일링 방식을 결정하였다.

  • The present time, their affect on modern teaching-learning methodology, especially that of cooperative learning is most noticeable through E-learning, ICT(Information Communication Technology), application of Computer, and the Internet. This paper evaluate and analyze a cooperation with computer which affects to the achievement degree for studying. Especially, this paper analyzes the degree and duration of computer usage, and then analyzes the ripple effects on the individuals positivity and participation. And, this paper estimate the different of students' scholastics attainment according to sex, environment and computer usage ability.

객관적 음질평가 기법 연구

  • 시스템을 설계하고 제작한 후에 그 시스템과 구성 요소가 최종적으로 음질에 미치는 영향을 평가하는 일은 필수적이다. 음질평가 기법은 크게 두 가지가 있다. 첫 번째는 사람의 귀로 듣고 평가하는 주관평가 방법이고, 두 번째는 측정 데이터로부터 객관적으로 성능을 평가하는 방법이다. 주관적 음질평가 방법은 사람이 직접 귀로 듣고 평가하는 방법이기 때문에, 여러 가지 불안정한 요소를 안고 있다. 주관 평가자의 신체적$\cdot$심리적 상태에 따라 평가가 달라질 수 있으며, 개개인에 따라 다른 결과를 내기도 한다. 따라서, 주관평가 결과의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해서는 통계적인 데이터를 얻고 평가자를 올바르게 훈련시켜야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 시간과 비용이 많이 소비된다. 따라서 측정 데이터로부터의 정교한 계산을 통하여 라우드스피커의 음질을 신뢰할만한 수준으로 평가할 수 있다면 신뢰성을 확보할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 시간 및 비용 절감 효과를 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 측정 데이터로부터 시스템의 음질을 신뢰할만한 수준으로 평가할 수 있는 기법을 새롭게 제안한다. 이것은 ITU-R Recommendation BS. 1387인 PEAQ를 사용하여 라우드스피커의 음질을 평가하는 방법이다.

A Cross-Cultural Study on the Mobile Competency and Quality of Life among Korea, China, and USA (한국, 중국, 미국의 모바일 정보역량과 삶의 질에 관한 비교연구)

  • Due to the spread of smartphones, mankind has been able to access and use a variety of mobile information anywhere, anytime. Mobile competency, the capability of accessing and using mobile information is affect the quality of the individual's life. In this study, 1,290 South Korean, Chinese, and American responded on mobile competency and quality of life. As a result, Korean had highest score in mobile information accessibilty, but American in mobile information utilization. Korea showed lowest rating in improvement of quality of life due to mobile competency. These results shows that Korean do not properly utilized mobile information for higher quality of life although they use longest time of mobile internet. Also, consumer innovativeness had the greatest influence on the utilization of mobile information among individual variables.
