  • 이 논문에서는 코깅 토크의 최소화와 효율의 최대화를 위해 전동기의 영구자석과 고정자 슬롯의 형상 최적화 방법을 제시하였다. 자계 해석은 유한요소법을 이용하였고, 토크의 계산은 가상번위법에 의하여 수행하였다. 형상 최적화를 위해서는 다중 목적 프로그래밍 기법과 개선된 ES를 적용하였다. 그리고 결과로 최적 설계된 전동기를 초기 전동기와 비교하였다.

Seismic base isolation for highway steel bridges using shape memory alloys (형상기억합금을 이용한 고속도로 강교량의 면진)

  • Conventional lead-rubber bearings may be unstable in case of strong ground motions. To address this problem, this paper proposed a new concept of isolation device wherein shape memory alloy wires were incorporated in an elastomeric bearing. A three-span continuous steel bridge was used for seismic analyses to compare the performance of lead-rubber and proposed bearings. The proposed bearings showed almost the same performance as the lead-rubber bearings. In particular, the proposed bearings limited relative displacement effectively with strong ground motions and recovered its original undeformed shape.

  • 토목 구조물에서 수문 (Gate)은 다양한 시설에서 설계되어 적용되고 있다. 이런 수문은 용도나규모, 사용재료, 구동방식에 의해 다양하게 분류되는데, 본 글에서 다룰 Girder 타입의 Sluice Gate 는 가장 많은 분야에서 포괄적으로 적용되는 수문 형식중 하나이다. 일반적으로 2m×2m 미만의 소규모 수문에서는 수문설계에 수리계산이나 응력검토를 요하지 않으나, 높이 5m 가 넘는 대형 수문의 경우 비체의 무게가 수십톤에 달하기 때문에 정수역학이나 동수역학과 같은 수리학적 설계가 반드시 필요하다. 수문설계는 크게 세 가지 해석을 다루는데, 첫 번째는 정수역학 또는 동수역학적 거동에 대한 수문 비체의 구조해석이고 두 번째는 수문의 상승 및 하강을 위한 권양장치 및 수문비체, 구동장치 등의 계산이며 마지막으로는 수문의 형상과 수류형상에 따른 수문의 진동해석 이다. 본 글에서는 두 번째에 해당하는 수문의 상승 및 하강에 영향을 미치는 수리학적 요소들을 통해 가장 합리적인 수문형상설계에 대해 논하고자 한다. 특히 국내에서는 Girder 타입의 수문설계에서 수문하단부 sill 부근의 형상을 쐐기 형태로 일률적으로 적용하고 있는데, 이를 개선하여 유체역학적으로나 경제적으로 보다 유리한 설계안을 본 글을 통해 제안하고자 한다.

  • Because technology of the sintering process is highly advanced, the gerotor used in the internal gear pumps of vehicles has advantages for manufacturing complex profiles and obtaining durability and minimization. However, it has been necessary to continuously improve the flow rate and noise of internal gear pumps for better fuel efficiency. The existing rotor was designed using a translation algorithm. This caused a discontinuity of the rotor profile, which had adverse effects on the performance. In this study, to improve the discontinuity of the profile, a new design program using a rotation and translation algorithm was developed, and two types of combined multiple profiles (three-ellipses and ellipse 1-involute-ellipse 2) were generated. Then, the performances (flow, flow rate, specific sliding, and pressure angle) of these profiles were calculated. On the basis of the calculation results for the performances, optimal designs of the two types were carried out and verified by comparing their performances with those of the existing rotor profiles.

A Research on Improving the Shape of Korean Road Signs to Enhance LiDAR Detection Performance (LiDAR 시인성 향상을 위한 국내 교통안전표지 형상개선에 대한 연구)

  • LiDAR plays a key role in autonomous vehicles, and to improve its visibility, it is necessary to improve its performance and the detection objects. Accordingly, this study proposes a shape for traffic safety signs that is advantageous for self-driving vehicles to recognize. Improvement plans are also proposed using a shape-recognition algorithm based on point cloud data collected through LiDAR sensors. For the experiment, a DBSCAN-based road-sign recognition and classification algorithm, which is commonly used in point cloud research, was developed, and a 32ch LiDAR was used in an actual road environment to conduct recognition performance tests for 5 types of road signs. As a result of the study, it was possible to detect a smaller number of point clouds with a regular triangle or rectangular shape that has vertical asymmetry than a square or circle. The results showed a high classification accuracy of 83% or more. In addition, when the size of the square mark was enlarged by 1.5 times, it was possible to classify it as a square despite an increase in the measurement distance. These results are expected to be used to improve dedicated roads and traffic safety facilities for sensors in the future autonomous driving era and to develop new facilities.

An Improvement of the Quility of the Domestic Fly Ash by the Method of Classifing. (분급에 의한 국산 플라이 애쉬의 품질 개선)

  • 환경문제로 인한 Nox의 규제로 보일러의 연소 온도가 저하되어 미연소탄과 조립분이 증가되었다. 이러한 플라이 애쉬의 미연소탄과 양호하지 못한 입자형상들은 콘크리트용 혼화재로서 플라이 애쉬의 품질을 현저하게 저하시키고 있다. 이 저 품질의 플라이 애쉬를 44$\mu$체를 사용하여 체 분급의 방법을 도입하므로서 어느 정도 양질의 플라이 애쉬로 개선될수 있었다. 분급한 9종의 플라이 애쉬를 시험한 결과 입자형상이 구형으로 개선되었으며, 물리.화학적 특성이 다소 개선되었고 압축강도가 증가되었다. 그리고 분말도와 포졸란 활성지수, 44$\mu$체 잔량과 포졸란 활성지수는 좋은 상관관계를 보여주었다. 또한 분급에 의한 분말도 관리가 포졸란 활성에 영향을 주는 인자임을 알 수 있었다.

Morphological Shape Decomposition using Multiscan Mode (다중스캔 모드를 이용한 형태론적인 형상분해)

  • In this study, a shape decomposition method using morphological operations is studied for decomposing the complex shape in 2-D image into its simple primitive elements. The serious drawback of conventional shape representation algorithm is that primitive elements are extracted too much to represent and to describe the shape. To solve these problems, a new shape decomposition algorithm using primitive elements that are similar to the geometrical characteristics of shape and 4 scan modes is proposed in this study. The multiple primitive elements as circle, square, and rhombus are extracted by using multiscan modes in a new algorithm. This algorithm have the characteristics that description error and number of primitive elements is reduced. Then, description efficiency is improved. The procedures is also simple and the processing time is reduced.

Numerical Study on Cavitation Reduction in Velocity-Control Trim of Valve with High Pressure Drop (고차압 밸브의 속도제어형 트림에서 케이테이션 억제에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • Flow characteristics of velocity-control trim in a valve is investigated numerically with high pressure drop. A basic trim widely used for a valve in domestic powerplants is selected and designed for a baseline of velocity-control trim. The numerical analysis is focused on flow rate and cavitation with the basic trim. For a condition of high-pressure drop, pressure drop between inlet and outlet and fluid temperature are selected to be 18.1 MPa and $160^{\circ}C$, respectively, which are typical ones considering operating conditions adopted in powerplants. With this baseline model and condition, design changes are made for improvement of flow rate and cavitation phenomenon. For re-design, trim is divided into three zones in radial direction and design parameters of flow area, stage, and flow direction are considered in each zone. With these combined parameters applied to each zone, 4 models with design changes are proposed and their flow rates and cavitation areas are investigated. From comparison with those in the baseline model of a basic trim, proposed models show better performance in both flow rate and cavitation.

Improved Damage Assessment Algorithm Using Limited Mode Shapes (제한된 모드형상을 이용한 개선된 손상평가 알고리즘)

  • This papers presents a practical damage detection algorithm based on damage index method that accurately assesses both the location and severity of the localized detriment in a bridge structure using only limited mode shapes. In the algorithm, the ratio of the modal vector sensitivity of an undamaged structure to that of a damaged structure is used as an indicator of damage. However, a difficulty arises when the damaged element is located at a node of mode where the amplitude of medal vector is close to zero, leading the singularity of the ratio (i.e., division-by-zero). This singularity problem is overcome by introducing a parameter denoted a sensitivity filter, a function of mode shape of the structure, in modal vector sensitivity. Using this concept, an improvement can be considerably achieved in the estimation of both degree of severity and location of damage. To verify the proposed algorithm, its numerical implementations are conducted for a simply supported beam and a 2-span continuous beam.
