Recently, ITSM(IT Service Management) is adopted very widely among private and public organizations. The successful implementation of ITSM requires continuous improvement, not just implementation of IT processes and/or ITSM solutions. One of the major tools for the continuous improvement is 6 Sigma technique. This study compares success and failure cases at the project level, and identifies factors affecting successful application of 6 Sigma technique in the improvement of ITSM. To achieve the research objective, this study first identifies and classifies success factors for 6 Sigma application through literature review. Then, factors to be used in the study are determined. Based on the factors, success and failure cases are compared. The research results show that all 5 factors (participation of management, participation of project team, project selection and verification, customer and market orientation, strategy and goal focus) are significantly different between success and failure cases.

The purpose of this study is to analyze importance and satisfaction of management and curriculum of personal assistants education. This study analyzed exploratory factor of importance and satisfaction questions in personal assistants education, correlation and a difference of importance and satisfaction according to factors, and investigates improvement plan through IPA analysis. The targets of this research are 231 personal assistants participating in personal assistants education managed in South Gyeonggi-do. As a result, it is shown that the sub-factors of personal assistants education mostly have a correlation, and two factors such as 'education management' and 'curriculum' are investigated. As a result of IPA analysis, it is drawn that 'education period' needs intensive improvement in education management, and 'practice class' and 'theory class' need intensive improvement in curriculum. This research is significant because the importance and satisfaction of personal assistants education are investigated and the improvement plan is provided.

This study aimed to improve the Traffic Accident Management System's validity and reliability, so the system could help classify and judge the human factors that correlate with traffic accidents. We took traffic accident research and analysis systems of United States and United Kingdom and certain related, former studies into account in building our test system. Next, we used the test system's criteria to re-analyze 502 Gyeonggi province accident records from 2008. We compared the results to existing systems' results to verify the test system's validity and reliability. These results indicated the necessity of removing some uncertain items from the existing systems and adding in some new items from the test system. This should help improve understanding of what happens at traffic accident scenes and of the sources of drivers' abnormal, reckless behavior. We introduce suggestions for improving the Traffic Accident Management System and research concepts for further studies.

We examine how to model mortality risk using the adaptation of the mean-reverting processes for the two factor model proposed by Cairns et al. (2006b). Mortality improvements have been recently observed in some countries such as United Kingdom; therefore, we assume long-run mortality converges towards a trend at some unknown time and the mean-reverting processes could therefore be an appropriate stochastic model. We estimate the parameters of the two-factor model incorporated with mean-reverting processes by a Metropolis-Hastings algorithm to fit United Kingdom mortality data from 1991 to 2015. We forecast the evolution of the mortality from 2014 to 2040 based on the estimation results in order to evaluate the issue price of a longevity bond of 25 years maturity. As an application, we propose a method to quantify the speed of mortality improvement by the average mean reverting times of the processes.

The purpose of this study was to understand the structures underlying Korean elementary teachers' attitudinal beliefs toward reform-oriented mathematics instruction and predict their intentions to change traditionally-oriented teaching practice. The theory of planned behavior (TPB) developed by Fishbein and Ajzen provided a conceptual framework for the examination of factors that influence Korean teachers' beliefs, attitudes, subjective norms and perceptions of control factors. Data were gathered through a survey instrument from 281 teachers who teach mathematics in a metropolitan city of Korea. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analyses were conducted to analyze the data. Findings indicate that Korean elementary teachers' change in Instructional practice is based primarily on their judgements regarding the likelihood of occurrences of certain consequences if they engage in teaching mathematics in a reform-oriented way. Teachers' perceptions of important others regarding the reform-oriented mathematics instruction seem to play a minor role in teachers' instructional change. Teachers' perceptions about control factors that prohibit or help teach mathematics in a reform-oriented way do not seem to make significant improvement in predicting their intentions to change traditionally-oriented teaching practice.

소프트웨어 융/복합화가 가속화되면서 소프트웨어의 역할이 높아지면서 소프트웨어뿐만 아니라 소프트웨어 프로세스에 대한 관심도 증대되고 있다. 본 논문은 국내 소프트웨어 실무자들을 대상으로 주요한 소프트웨어 프로세스 개선의 장애요인들을 식별하고, 조직의 특성에 따라 장애요인들이 달라지는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 국내 SW개발 프로젝트의 실무자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시, 분석하였다. 분석결과 SW 공학기법이나 조직의 개선이나 혁신에 대한 관심이나 노력이 가장 큰 장애요인으로 식별되었다.

본 연구는 모터 제조회사에서 모터 수명 향상을 위해 식스 시그마 방법론에 근거하여 개선한 사례연구이다. 모터 수명 향상 활동을 추진하기 위해 본 연구에서는 제조부문의 식스 시그마 프로젝트 추진절차인 Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control 절차를 수행했다. 모터 수명과 연관된 불량 유형을 정의하고 불량 측정 시스템에 대한 계측시스템의 정도평가, 불량유형요인효과분석, 4Step Diagram과 같은 분석기법을 활용하여 수명에 중요한 요인도출, 중요 요인의 개선대책 수립 및 개선 확인 후 최종적으로 지속적인 신뢰성 관리 방안을 수립하였다. 본 연구는 대부분 영세한 모터 제조업체에서 모터수명 관리를 위해 많은 투자를 할 수 없는 현황을 고려할 때 신뢰성 관리의 효율적 방안을 제시한다.

한국정보통신진흥협회에서는 올 1월부터 도입.시행되고 있는 별정통신사업이 시행 6개월이 지나도록 활성화되지 못하고 있는 점을 감안, 관련등록사업자와 공동으로 별정통신 현황조사를 통해 활성화 장애요인 등을 분석하고 이에 대한 개선방안을 마련, 정보통신부에 건의했다.

지난 1월 27일부터 '중대재해 처벌 등에 관한 법률(약칭 : 중대재해처벌법)'이 시행되었다. 중대재해를 예방하는 것을 궁극적인 목적으로 해 경영자에게 안전보건 확보 의무를 부여하는 중대재해처벌법은 현장의 위험요인을 일상적으로 확인하고 개선하는 절차를 마련하고 이를 이행할 것, 그리고 위험요인 개선을 위해 필요한 인력, 예산 등을 갖추는 것을 주요 내용으로 한다. 다음에 그 주요내용에 대해 살펴보도록 한다.

대학생이 학업중단에 이르는 과정은 여러 가지 요인에 의해 영향을 받는다. 이에 관한 연구는 초기에 학업중단을 예방할 수 있게 해주며, 각 단계에서의 다양한 개입의 방향과 전략을 제시해 줄 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 학업을 포기하는 전문대학생의 실태와 현황, 학업중단의 문제를 요인 분석하기 위하여, K대학의 중도탈락에 관한 실제 데이터를 대상으로 요인분석을 실시하고, 그 개선안을 제시하데 그 목적이 있다.
