The Study on the Utilization of TPM program Affecting the Productivity Increase (TPM 프로그램의 활동요인이 경영성과에 미치는 효과)

  • TPM program, which is a methodology for improving the management results through the management innovation activity of a company, has been widely introduced in the field of a service industry as well as a manufacturing industry. The main purpose of this study is to present the theoretical model by the relationship between active factors of TPM program and management results for a productivity increase, and to investigate the direct and indirect effects on the management of a company through a parametric study. A questionnaire survey of 300 companies that presently utilize the TPM program has been conducted. In order to verify the validity and the reliability of the contents of the questionnaire survey, a confirmatory factor analysis has been done. A frequency analysis has also been performed to examine the characteristics of the respondent. The factor analysis and the frequency analysis were done by using SAS Ver. 8.2, and the verification of a research model was done by using LISREL Ver. 8.52. The active factors of TPM in the research model consist of 'an independent preservation', 'an individual improvement', 'a planned reservation' and 'an education & training'. Among those active factors, the individual improvement and the education & training significantly influence on the facility efficiency and the organization and personnel management. The organization and personnel management has a greater influence on the management results. Therefore, the education and training for employes is most important for the improvement of the management results through TPM program, and the individual improvement activity is also important.

Analyzing the Technical Efficiency of Korean System Integration Firms (자료포괄분석을 이용한 국내 SI회사의 효율성 분석)

  • 본 논문은 자료포괄분석(Data Envelopment Analysis, DEA)을 이용하여 국내 SI회사를 대상으로 효율성을 측정하고 효율성의 연도별 추세를 분석하여 개별기업 및 산업차원에서 변화의 방향을 파악하였다. 기업집단의 소속여부에 따른 비효율성의 차이와 효율성에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인에 관해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 평균적으로 국내 SI회사의 기술적 효율성은 약간 하락하고 있으며, TE 및 PTE의 표준편차와 최대값-최소값의 범위는 상당히 증가하고 있어 양극화가 심화되고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 기업집단 소속인 기업과 그렇지 않은 기업의 효율성을 분석한 결과 그 차이는 통계적으로 유의함을 검증하였다. 한편, 효율성에 영향을 미치는 각종 요인과 TE 및 PTE 간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 내부매출비중, 정보생산성, 인당매출, EBITDA율, 부가가치율, 투하자본 수익률(ROIC) 등과 TE 및 PTE 간에 모두 강한 상관계수를 보이고 있다. 이와 같은 효율성의 분석을 통해 SI산업의 지속 가능한 경쟁력을 확보하고 개별 기업의 효율성을 향상하기 위한 전략적 벤치마킹과 정책적 의사결정에 기여할 수 있다.

  • 학교현장은 평균 43명의 과밀학급(인천광역시 연수고등학교 2학년)으로, 컴퓨터실에서 교사는 학생들을 관리하기 위해 학생 PC의 전원 끄는 경우가 있다. 교사는 학생의 컴퓨터를 감시하여 수업과 관련 없는 웹(web) 사이트를 방문하는 학생들의 수업 이외의 장난을 막으면서 학생들에게 수업해야 하기 때문이다. 그러나 학생은 이러한 방식에 반발심을 사거나 학생들의 학습 의욕을 떨어트리는 요인으로 작용한다고 본다. 또한 컴퓨터실 수업에서 일반적으로 교사는 "바쁜 교사"이다. 제한된 시간에 학습자 개인의 흥미나 욕구를 반영하여 개별 학습자의 능력 혹은 수준에 맞추어 수업의 내용의 내용과 속도를 다르게 가르치는 개별지도가 불가능하다. 현실이 이렇다 보니 컴퓨터라는 정보화 기기를 활용한 수업이 효율적으로 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 학습 초기에 개별학습을 하면서 학습 진행에 어려움을 격을 시 학생과 학생사이에 다양한 상호작용을 촉진시키도록 협력학습 체제를 구축하고 학생들의 학습을 모니터링하면서 학생 또는 협력학습 모둠이 문제 해결에 어려움이 처한 경우나 실패한 경우 교사의 개별지도가 가능하게 할 수 있는 실시간 협력학습 체제를 설계하였다.

해외판매법인의 현지유통경로선택에 관한 연구 -삼성전자와 LG전자의 해외판매법인을 중심으로-

  • 본 연구에서는 삼성전자와 LG전자의 해외 판매법인을 대상으로 하여, 그들의 현지유통경로선택시 시장요인과 제품요인 그리고 경쟁 포지셔닝에 따라 초래되는 특성들과 차이점에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 요인별 현지유통경로선택에서의 차이분석에서는 경쟁 포지셔닝에 따른 현지 유통경로 선택에서만 유의한 차이를 보였고 시장요인과 제품요인, 그리고 제품 포지셔닝에 따라서는 유의한 차이가 발견되지 않았다. 이는 두 기업이 아직 현지시장 적응정도가 낮고, 제품은 차별화 되지 않았음을 시사해 주는 것이라 할 수 있다. 그리고 개별 기업수준에서의 요인별 분석에서는 삼성전자의 경우, 제품요인과 TV부문의 시장요인, 제품 포지셔닝에 따른 현지유통경로 선택에서 유의한 차이를 보였고, 전자레인지 부문에서는 요인별로 유의한 차이가 발견되지 않았다. 한편 LG전자는 삼성 전자와는 달리 현지 유통경로 선택에서 어떤 유의한 차이도 발견되지 않았다.

Study about the Impacts of the Individual Department's Brand on the Formation of Government's Credibility (개별 부처 브랜드가 정부신뢰 형성 과정에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • This study recognized a individual central department of the government as an object that can be branded. Therefore, it was studied to understand the impact of the central department's brand equity on the credibility of the government. To evaluate the relationship between them, measurement items and hypothetical construct were developed based on the previous studies, then the impacts of the central department's brand equity on the government's credibility were assessed. To summarize, the measurement items developed based on the previous studies were refined to discover the components of the central department's brand equity. Then, factor analysis was performed. The results firstly showed that brand equity is consisted of awareness, functional and emotional assets. Secondly, it was found that awareness level of the central department has a positive impact on functional and emotional assets. Thirdly, functional and emotional assets of individual central department significantly affect the credibility of the central department. Lastly, the credibility of individual central departments positively influences the president's credibility. This study has an importance in a sense that it defines the elements of central department's brand equity, and provides a frame for an objective comparison.

Evaluating location suitability of Park-and-Ride facilities using GIS (GIS를 이용한 환승시설 입지 적합도 평가)

  • Park-and- Rides are intermodal transfer facilities providing a staging location for travellers to transfer between transportation modes. They are an alternative to alleviate transportation problems such as traffic congestion and air pollution in metropolitan areas. Siting Park-and-Ride facilities belongs to a kind of multi-criteria spatial decision making problems being associated with a combination of various location factors. The purpose of this paper is to provide a method and procedure to evaluate the location suitability of Park-and-Ride facilities using GIS(Geographic Information Systems). Using GIS-based suitability analysis, land value, landuse, road accessibility, public transportation accessibility, possibility to intercept automobile trips, distance to activity center and competition with existing facilities were evaluated as location factors. The suitabilities of individual factors were combined to produce a composite map with a specific weight scheme. Then a given number of sites with high suitability score were selected as potential facility locations and their demand were evaluated based on a commutershed with parabolic shape. The suggested method and procedure will provide useful information in determining Park-and-Ride sites and designing their structure.

Modelling of Drying Shrinkage for Different Environmental Conditions (환경인자를 고려한 건조수축의 예측모델 개발)

  • Drying shrinkage is a very important properties of concrete, which is affected by environmental conditions. The environmental conditions are temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed, which is quite variable and its effct on drying shrinkage is quite complex, too. In this study, environmental effects on drying shrinkage wrer integrated into one variable-evaporation rate. In several different environmental conditions, evaporation rate was measured with Evaporometer and compared with PCA chart, and also compared with measured drying shirnkage to verify the possibility of being a single parameter. The results are summarized in a prediction chart and prediction equation for drying shrinkage.

An Exploratory Investigation on Multimedia Information Needs and Searching Behavior among College Students (멀티미디어 정보요구와 검색행태에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • Multimedia needs and searching have become important in everyday life, especially in a younger generation. The characteristics of multimedia needs and searching behaviors are distinctive compared to textual information needs and searching behaviors in a wide variety of ways. By interviewing and observing multimedia needs and searching behaviors of college students from 20 areas in Seoul, this study aims to improve the understanding on users' multimedia needs and how users search multimedia. The findings are presented in terms of searching sources, multimedia needs, relevance criteria and searching barriers. For multimedia, the searching sources are found primarily as Naver and Google and the distinguished features are presented depending on the individual multimedia types. As multimedia needs are categorized into generic, specific and abstract, most of the needs are classified as specific needs rather than generic needs, but there exist differences depending on the types of multimedia. In addition, the aspects of relevance criteria and searching barriers are reflected with the characteristics of individual multimedia types. The findings of this study demonstrate that distinctive indexing and searching environments depending on the types of multimedia might be necessary to improve the quality of multimedia searching.

The Effect of Entrepreneur's Curiosity on Challenge, Innovation and Competition (창업가의 호기심이 도전성, 혁신성 및 경쟁추구성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effects of curiosity, the personal characteristics of start-up founders, on entrepreneurship. Among the various factors that make up the entrepreneurship, this study identified the relationship between the practical factors (challenge, innovativeness, competition) and the founder's curiosity. Based on previous studies, curiosity was divided into four individual factors: deficiency, playfulness, social curiosity, and stimulus pursuit. For each individual factor, we analyzed meaningful relationship with entrepreneurship. In addition, the founders were classified into those who simply think of starting a business, those preparing to start a business, and those who started the business. Each group was analyzed their degree of curiosity. The data were analyzed based on the final 248 data for entrepreneurs who are preparing or starting their own business in Daegu-Gyeongbuk region. Analysis shows that curiosity is higher in those who prepare or start a business than those who think about it. Curiosity has been found to have a positive effect on both the challenge, the innovation, and the composition of the competition. In addition, in entrepreneurship, the challenge was found to have a positive effect on innovation, but it did not affect competition composition. The characteristics of individual factors of curiosity were also different, and there was a significant effect of deficiency and playfulness on challenge, social curiosity and stimulus pursuit on innovation, and stimulus pursuit on competition. These findings are significant in identifying and analyzing curiosity as a factor influencing entrepreneurship. The results of the analysis can help theoretical expansion of entrepreneurship. In addition, it can provide important implications for the direction of entrepreneurship education and program development among volunteer activities for prospective entrepreneurs.
