Development of Short-term Forecast Model using ERA5 reanalysis data based on Deep Learning model (ERA5 재해석 자료를 활용한 Deep Learning 모델 기반의 단기 예측 모형 개발)

  • 4차산업 혁명이 도래한 이후로 전세계적으로 AI 기술이 유래 없는 속도로 발달 및 활용되고 있으며, 다양한 분야에서 AI 기법을 도입한 연구가 활발히 진행 중에 있다. 최근 수자원 분야에서는 단기 강우 예측, 댐 유입량 예측 및 하천 수위 예측 등의 분야에서 AI 기술이 접목되어 꾸준한 기술 개발이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 단변량으로 축척된 자료를 활용하여 중·장기 모형 개발 연구가 다수 진행되고 있지만, 급격한 기후변화 현상과 복잡한 매커니즘을 보이고 있는 기상현상의 경우 단변량 분석으로서는 정확도가 저하 될 수 있는 우려가 있는 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 상기에 제시된 단점을 극복하고자 다양한 기상자료를 검증·예측인자로 활용함과 동시에 Deeplearning 모형과 결합하여 신뢰성 있는 단기 강수 예측이 가능한 모형을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 유럽중기예보센터(ECMWF, European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts)에서 제공하고 있는 ERA5 재해석 자료를 활용하였으며, Deeplearning 모형과 결합하여 단기 강우 예측이 가능한 모형을 개발하였다. 1차적으로 격자자료(25km×25km)로 제공되고 있는 ERA5 자료를 상세화(downscaling) 모형에 적용하여 기상청 관측소와 비교·검증하였으며, Deeplearning 모형을 통해 단기 예측이 가능한 모형으로 확장하였다. 이때 Deeplearning의 다양한 모형 중 시계열 분석에 있어 예측 성능이 높은 LSTM 모형을 활용하였으며, 제공되고 있는 대기 변수의 상호관계를 노드간 연결을 통해 결과의 정확도와 신뢰성을 확보하였다. 본 연구 결과는 기관별로 제공하고 있는 예측 수준을 상회하는 결과를 도출하였으며, 홍수기에 집중되는 강우량을 예측하여 대비·대책을 선제적으로 마련할 수 있는 자료로써의 활용성이 높을 것으로 사료된다.

  • Product Line Engineering (PLE) consists of two phases; Core Assets Development and Application Engineering. The core asset development is to model common features of members in a domain and to develop them. The application engineering is to effectively generate an application by instantiating the core asset. Today, PLE research mainly focuses on developing core assets, whereas activities and instructions for application engineering are weakly defined. Moreover, instructions of application engineering are not enough to be practically applied. To widely apply PLE to industry, researches on systematic and practical methods such as instantiation processes, instructions, and artifacts are needed. In this paper, we propose a practical PLE process, instructions, and artifacts about each activity. And then, we also present a case study to show applicability and practicality of the process proposed in this paper.

  • Operation of intelligent transport systems technologies in transportation networks and more detailed analysis give rise to necessity of dynamic traffic analysis model. Existing static models describe network state in average. on the contrary, dynamic traffic analysis model can describe the time-dependent network state. In this study, a dynamic traffic model for the expressway system using FTMS data is developed. Time-dependent origin-destination trip tables for nationwide expressway network are constructed using TCS data. Computation complexity is critical issue in modeling nationwide network for dynamic simulation. A subarea analysis model is developed which converts the nationwide O-D trip tables into subarea O-D trip tables. The applicability of the proposed model is tested under various scenario. This study can be viewed as a starting point of developing deployable dynamic traffic analysis model. The proposed model needs to be expanded to include arterial as well without critical computation burden.

  • 메콩강을 공유하는 6개국은 주로 강의 개발과 수자원의 활용을 통해 경제성장을 이룩하고 있다. 하지만, 각국의 산업화나 경제성장의 수준, 메콩강에 대한 의존도와 관심, 전략 등이 서로 달라 개발에 따른 국가 간 수자원 공유, 환경피해, 지역보존 등의 문제들이 발생하고 있다. 메콩지역의 국가 중 베트남은 하천유역의 많은 부분이 국가공유하천으로 인접국가의 유역개발에 따라 다양한 물 분쟁이 발생할 수 있으며, 잦은 홍수피해가 발생하고, 낙후된 사회인프라로 인해 이수 및 수질오염과 관련된 물 문제 역시 지역적으로 발생하고 있다. 해당지역의 물 문제해결을 위한 정책결정의 지원을 위해서는 수리·수문학적 기초 또는 상세 분석이 필요하며, 본 연구에서는 매년 홍수와 대규모 범람, 비효율적 댐운영으로 인한 가뭄, 염수침입 등의 물 문제가 발생하는 Ca River 유역을 대상유역으로 선정하고 K-series SW 기반의 홍수범람 해석을 수행하였다. K-water에서 개발된 다양한 K-Series SW 중 연구대상유역인 Ca River 하류 유역에 대한 적용에 적합한 모형을 기존 현황조사 등을 바탕으로 1차원 하천흐름해석을 위한 K-River, 2차원 홍수범람해석을 위한 K-Flood 모형을 선정하고 분석을 수행하였다. 2010년과 2013년의 홍수기를 대상으로 K-River모형을 이용하여 Ca river 하류의 수리학적 현상을 해석하였으며, 해당 결과를 기반으로 K-Flood 모형을 이용한 2차원 홍수범람해석을 수행하고 실제 범람지도와의 비교를 수행하였다. 그리고 결과검토를 통해 모의 결과가 수위에 대해 높은 재현성을 보이고 있으며 범람면적과 침수심의 모의결과가 실제 침수양상과 비슷한 양상을 보임을 확인하였다.

A Study on the Seismic Response of a Non-earthquake Resistant RC Frame Using Inelastic Dynamic Analyses (비선형 동적 해석을 이용한 비내진 상세 RC 골조의 지진거동 특성 분석)

  • In this study, characteristics of the seismic response of the non-earthquake resistant reinforced concrete (RC) frame were identified. The test building is designed to withstand only gravity loads and not in compliance with modern seismic codes. Smooth bars were utilized for the reinforcement. Members are provided with minimal amount of stirrups to withstand low levels of shear forces and the core concrete is virtually not confined. Columns are slender and more flexible than beams, and beam-column connections were built without stirrups. Through the modeling of an example RC frame, the feasibility of the fiber elementbased 3D nonlinear analysis method was investigated. Since the torsion is governed by the fundamental mode shape of the structure under dynamic loading, pushover analysis cannot predict torsional response accurately. Hence, dynamic response history analysis is a more appropriate analysis method to estimate the response of an asymmetric building. The latter method was shown to be accurate in representing global responses by the comparison of the analytical and experimental results. Analytical models without rigid links provided a good estimation of reduced stiffness and strength of the test structure due to bond-slip, by forming plastic hinges closer to the column ends. However, the absence of a proper model to represent the bond-slip poased the limitations on the current inelastic analysis schemes for the seismic analysis of buildings especially for those with round steel reinforcements. Thus, development of the appropriate bond-slip model is in need to achieve more accurate analysis.

Impact of the Local Surface Characteristics and the Distance from the Center of Heat Island to Suburban Areas on the Night Temperature Distribution over the Seoul Metropolitan Area (수도권 열섬 중심으로부터 교외까지의 거리 및 국지적 지표특성이 야간 기온분포에 미치는 영향)

  • In order to understand the impacts of surface characteristics and the distance from the urban heat island center to suburban areas on the mean night time air temperature, we analyzed GIS and AWS observational data. Spatial distributions of mean night time air temperature during the summer and winter periods of 2004-2011(six years) were utilized. Results show that the temperature gradients were different by distance and direction. We found high correlation between mean night-time air temperature and artificial land cover area within 1km and 200m radii during both summer(R=0.84) and winter(R=0.78) seasons. Regression models either from 1km and 200m land surface data explained the distribution of night-time temperature equally well if the input data had sufficient resolution with detailed attribute including building area and height.

The Development of Neural Network Model to Improve the Reliability of the Demand/Effort Model for Evaluating Highway Safety (도로위험도를 평가하는 요구/노력모형의 신뢰도 향상을 위한 신경망 모형 개발)

  • Traffic accidents on highways are likely to happen when there is an imbalance in the complex relationships among key elements such as road geometries, driver related factors, and mechanical performances. The Demand-Effort Model (DEM), which evaluates highway safety, can be explained by the imbalance, which occurs when the level of demand of the driver's attention to the road environment exceeds that of the response from the driver. This study suggests a new model that improves the reliability of the current DEM through the reinterpretation on the physiological signals with the help of the Neural Network Model (NNM). The data were collected from 149 subjects, who drove a test vehicle on the Yongdong, Honam, and Seohaean Expressways in Korea. Three important results could be drawn from the recursive tests as follows; (1) Only 5 out of 10 parameters on the physiological signals which are currently used were proven to be meaningful through the Normality Test, Cluster Analysis, and Mann-Whitney Analysis. (2) The revised DEM, which internally uses the NNM, showed more reliable results than existing DEM. Group 1, which is based on the new DEM showed 80.0% of accuracy in measuring the level of driver's efforts, however, that of Group 2 based on the current DEM was 74.3%. (3) Field tests on the Honam Expressway showed lower 'type II error' with the new DEM (40.5%) than the old DEM (58.8%). The DEM is designed as a quick and easy way to determine highway safety prior to the minute road safety audit (RSA) by a professional audit team. Then a new DEM, which is based on the NNM, needs to be considered since it showed higher reliability and lower error.

  • This paper analyzed contents related to statistics in the 7th elementary mathematics curriculum in conjunction with main changes in the recent revised curriculum. This paper then provided detailed analyses of textbooks and workbooks in terms of main contents, instructional methods of graphs, and comprehension of graphs required to students in order to look closely at how such instructional materials would put the vision of the curriculum into action. It is expected that the issues and suggestions stemming from this analysis are informative in constructing new textbooks and workbooks.

  • This paper analyzes the conjunction events of Korea satellites by year or kind of satellite using CSM, which is provided by JSpOC. If multiple CSM for single conjunction event are available, consistency analysis is performed using minimum range of CSM. And this paper presents the contact analysis results with space objects if there is a radar system in Korea. The effectiveness of Korea's radar system is analyzed by calculating the access time or frequency with space objects. Furthermore, we investigate the radar systems of other space agencies and find the specific parameter depending on the operating environment. Using this information, we define the requirements of radar system, which is appropriate the Korea.

  • In this paper, the conceptual model for bibliographic Information consistent and compatible with MARC is presented. The modeling requirements are derived from MARC-related models such as MARC21, MARCXML and MODES. To meet these requirements, this paper proposes the conceptual model based on MARC formalism. The model composed with aggregation relationships among bibliographic data elements can use semantic tags of XML. As the model can be realized into diverse structures, it will be effectively applied for the development of bibliographic information management systems. Since MARC defines only record format and has the limitations in semantic representation, the metadata system that can expand bibliographic data elements in MRAC into metadata level is strongly required.
