In order to study effects of interfacial layers between $Pb(Zr,Til)Q_3(PZT)$ films and electrodes for Metal-Ferroelectric-MetaI(MFM) structure capacitors, we have fabricated the capacitors with the Pt/PZT/interfacial-layer/Pt/$TiO_2/SiO_2$/Si structure. $PbTiO_3(PT)$ interfacial layers were formed by sol-gel deposition and PbO, ZrO, and $TiO_2$ thin layers were deposited by reactive sputtering. $TiO_2$ interface layers result in the finest grains of PZT(crystalline Temp. $600^{\circ}C$) films compare to $PbO_2\;and\;ZrO_2$ layers. However, as the thickness of $TiO_2$ layer increases. PZT thin films become rough and electrical characteristics were deteriorated due to remained anatase phase. On the other hand. PT interface layers result in improved morphology of PZT films and do not significantly change ferroelectric properties. It is a also observed that seed layers at the middle and top of PZT films do not give significant effects on grain size but the PT seed layer at the interface between the bottom electrode and the PZT films results in the small grain size.

XLH (X-linked hypophosphatemic rickets) is a form of rickets which is resistant to the usual dose of vitamin D and inherited in a X-linked dominant manner. It is also known as vitamin D-resistant rickets or familial hypophosphatemic rickets. Here we report a 6-year-and-6-month-old female patient of XLH who is diagnosed with in SNUB. She was referred from local clinic for impaction of maxillary left permanent incisor and its treatment. She presents bowing deformities of the legs, short stature, enlargement of wrist and ankles and spontaneous dental abscesses of clinically sound teeth delayed eruption, taurodontism, delayed apical closure, enlarged pulp chambers, and absent or poorly defined lamina dura. The purpose of this case is to review the literatures of XLH and report the dental and medical characteristics of this patient.

Gamma irradiation at 30 kGy was applied to cereal powders to evaluate their possible genotoxicity. The genotoxicity of 30 kGy-irradiated cereal powders was evaluated by Salmonella typhimurium reversion assay, chromosomal aberration test and in vivo micronucleus assay. The result were negative in the bacterial reversion assay with S. typhimurium TA98, IA100, TA1535 and TA1537. No mutagenicity was detected in the assay with and without metabolic activation. In chromosomal aberration tests with CHL cells and in vivo mouse micronucleus assay, no significant difference in the incidences of chromosomal aberration and micronuclei was observed between non-irradiated and 30 kGy-irradiated cereal powders. These result indicate that cereal powders irradiated at 30 kGy did not show any genotoxic effect under these experimental conditions.

A modified half wavelength loaded line antenna is designed and implemented for mobile terminal applications. The antenna is constructed with a radiating element of half wavelength loaded line structure, dielectric substrate, feeding post and two shorting posts on the experimental PCB. The shorting posts are located at each side of the radiating element and lumped inductance elements are on between each shorting post and ground of PCB. By controlling value of inductors, one can adjust resonant frequency and input impedance respectively. Within inductance value of 12 nH, the antenna can have wide operating range of $1,470\~2,660\;MHz$ and good impedance matching. The measured peak gains are between -0.45 dBi and 2.03 dBi for the operating band.
This paper is based on the triangular inset patch antenna as the basic structure, and the array structure is the twin tree form to improve the antenna's main lobe gain and reduce the side lobe gain. A twin tree structure was implemented by placing two identical trees of 2-4-6 arrays of triangular inset patches side by side. The parametric analysis confirmed that the gap between tree structures arranged side by side is most effective for impedance matching. The fabricated antenna has a gain of 16.74 dBi at 24.15 GHz, and the beam width of the main lobe is 22° in the E-plane and 6° in the H-plane. The antenna size was 125 mm × 50 mm, and a Taconic TLC substrate with a dielectric constant of 3.2 was used. Although the main lobe gain is improved over the twin tree structure, The directivity in the beam pattern due to the mutual interference of the two tree array structure can be improved.

Microwave dielectric properties of $Ca(Li_{1/4}Nb_{3/4})O_3-CaTiO_3$ ceramic systems were investigated with calcination temperatures and amounts of $CaTiO_3$ in the range of 0.2 to 0.4mol. $Ca(Li_{1/4}Nb_{3/4})O_3$ ceramics having orthorhombic crystal structure could be synthesized at $750^{\circ}C$ and sintered well at $1250^{\circ}C$. They showed the dielectric constant of 26, quality factor($Q{\times}f_o$) of 13,000 and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency(${\tau}_f$) of $-49{\pm}2ppm/^{\circ}C$ With adding the $CaTiO_3$ amount the dielectric constant and ${\tau}_f$ increased due to the solute of $CaTiO_3$ but the quality factor decreased. The 0.7$Ca(Li_{1/4}Nb_{3/4})O_3-0.3CaTiO_3$ ceramic showed the dielectric constant of 44, quality factor($Q{\times}f_o$) of 12,000 and ${\tau}_f$ of $-9{\pm}1ppm/^{\circ}C$.
Streptococcus spp. comprising Streptococcus (S.) uberis S. dysgalactiae strains is major causeof bovine mastitis from particularly well-managed or low somatic cell count herds that have successfullycontrolled contagious pathogens. In this study, antimicrobial susceptibility and genetic characteristics of S.uberis isolated from clinical or subclinical mastitis milk at 2003 were investigated. Eighty seven isolatesof Streptococus spp. were identified by the conventional biochemical methods. The antimicrobialsusceptibility by disk diffusion method was determined for 46 S. uberis, 11 S. bovis, 10 S. oralis, 6 S.uberis and 14 other Streptococcus spp.. Overall, the tested strains were susceptible to tetracycline (11.5%),amikacin (14.9%), streptomycin (16.1%), neomycin (26.4%), kanamycin (35.6%), gentamicin (65.2%),oxacillin (70.1%), ampicillin (75.9%), chloramphenicol (78.2%), and cephalothin (97.7%). Additionally, S.uberis strains were susceptible to pencillin G (97.8%), but resistant to erythromycin (76.0%) by minimalinhibitory concentration test. The multiple-drug resistance rate of isolated bacteria to 4 more thanamplification fingerprinting patterns amplifed with primer 8.6d showed that 3 to 8 number of distinguishableDNA fragments ranged from 180 bp to 1,20 bp. Thirty seven isolates of S. uberis strains were subtypedinto 8 distinct patterns. Each subtype revealed a typical pattern of antimicrobial susceptibilities. Thesefindings demonstrate that S. uberis isolates were mastitis pathogens of diverse serotypes, and oftenencountered the diverse resistant patterns.

We have investigated the dielectric and electrical characteristics of palmitic acid(PA) stearic acid(SA) and arachidic acid(AA) Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films because these fatty acid systems have a same hydrophilic group and a different hydrophobic one(methylene group or alkyl chain length). The fatty acid systems were used as LB films and the status of the deposited films was confirmed by evaluating the transfer ratio the UV absorption and the capacitance. The dielectric characteristics such as the frequency-capacitance characteristics and the dielectric dispersion and absorption characteristics of PA SA and AA through-plane were measured. The relative dielectric constants of PA, SA and AA LB films were about 3.0~4.6, 2.7~3.0 and 2.4~3.0 respectively. That is the relative dielectric constants were decreased in proportion to the chain length of methylene group. Also the dielectric dispersion and absorption of each fatty acid LB films have arisen from spontaneous polarization of dipole polarization in the range of 10$^4$~10$^{5}$ [Hz]. The conductivity of PA, SA and AA LB films obtained from I-V characteristics were about 9$\times$10$^{-14}$ , 3$\times$10$^{-14}$ and 5$\times$10$^{-15}$ [S/cm]. respectively. These results have shown the insulating materials and could control the conductivity y changing the length of methylene group. Also we have confirmed that the barrier height of fatty acid systems were almost the same ones obtained from dielectric characteristics.

In this paper, we proposes a DTV indoor receiving antenna with a gap sleeve monopole structure. The proposed antenna uses a basic structure of a sleeve monopole and gap sleeve. To optimize antenna, we have adjusted the gap between monopole and sleeve, the gap between sleeve and ground. In order to confirm the property of antenna parameters, it was used a commercial software, HFSS. For the antenna fabrication, a FR4 dielectric substrate which has a dielectric constant of 4.7 was used. The size of the antenna was $213mm{\times}40mm{\times}1.6mm$. Frequency band of the fabricated antenna was 432MHz ~ 827MHz, and the bandwidth was 395MHz. The maximum gain of the antenna was 2.19dBi. Consequently, it was confirmed the possibility of practical application of the DTV indoor receiving antenna with a gap sleeve monopole structure.
The ferroelectric properties of Pb(Zr,Ti)O$_3$[PZT] films degrade when the films with Pt top electrodes are annealed in hydrogen containing environment. This is due to the reduction activity of atomic hydrogen that is generated by the catalytic activity of the Pt top electrode. At the initial stage of hydrogen annealing, oxygen vacancies are formed by the reduction activity of hydrogen mainly at the vicinity of top Pt/PZT interface, resulting in a shift of P-E (polarization-electric field) hysteresis curve toward the negative electric field direction. As the hydrogen annealing time increases, oxygen vacancies are formed inside the PZT film by the inward diffusion of hydrogen ions, as a result, the polarization degrades significantly and the degree of P-E curve shift decreases gradually. The direction and the magnitude of the remnant polarization in the PZT film affect the motion of hydrogen ions which determines the degradation of polarization characteristics and the shift in the P-E hysteresis curve of the PZT capacitor during hydrogen annealing. When the remnant polarization is formed in the PZT film by applying a pre-poling voltage prior to hydrogen annealing, the direction of the P-E curve shift induced by hydrogen annealing is opposite to the polarity of the pre-poling voltage. The hydrogen-induced degradation behavior of the PZT capacitor is also affected by the internal field that has been generated in the PZT film by the charges located at the top interface prior to hydrogen annealing.
